Title: Wrapping Presents

Characters: Boba Fett and Fennec Shand.

Disclaimer: I do not own Star Wars, but like many others, I wish I did.

Boba stood on his balcony pondering what he should get Fennec for Life Day. She had done so much to help him and he felt like he should give her something, even if it was small, to show his gratitude. But there was a problem, he had no clue what to get her. No amount of paying attention to see if she would let anything slip that might give him an idea was pointless, she was like a tightly gaurded vault. Just then he heard her call to him from inside, "Boba!" she shouted, "Can you help me put the star on the Life Day tree?!" He walked inside and saw Fennec, Life Day star in hand, and it came to him. He would get her throwing stars, it was perfect! "Are you going to stand there looking like a man who's just had an epiphany, or are you going to help me?" she asked impatiently. So Boba helped her get the star on the tree, then excused himself so he could go buy her gift.

Boba felt quite proud of himself, the throwing stars were splayed on the table before him, and they were beautiful. Thin, shiny, and...sharp? That was going to be a problem, "How I am going to be able to wrap these things?" he asked himself. Getting poked by them wasn't the problem, it was the fact that they were going to poke through the wrapping flimsi. He tried and failed several times, then decided to hide the throwing stars in a cabinet next to his bed, and take a walk. As he strolled around the palace he spotted Fennec, he thought she had left to run a quick errand, but apparently she was done already. She was carrying a bag, "What have you got there?" he asked trying to peer in the bag, but she pulled it away and chuckled, "Tis the season for secrets, Boba." she smiled, "But, when I put this away you can help me with the garland." she walked away without another word, but then it hit him, a bag. He could put her throwing stars in a bag! It was brilliant! Somehow he managed to find a gift bag. He put in a layer of fluff, then the throwing stars, then another layer of fluff. This was the perfect gift. Although, he thought, I should probably make sure that she's wearing her gloves when she opens them, but then again, she's always wearing her gloves.

On Life Day morning they were seated on the couch admiring the decorations, Fennec was eating some kind of candy she had gotten in her stocking, when Boba decided it was time to give her the gift. "I got you something." he said and pulled out the gift bag. She put down her candy and took the gift bag from, "Boba you shouldn't have," she said as she opened it up and pulled away the fluff, "But I'm very happy that you did." She held one of the throwing stars up and smiled at him. She didn't often smile, but Boba found that he liked when she did, "I'm happy that your happy. You've done a lot for me so I felt like I should give something" he said, unable to keep himself from smiling too. "Well," Fennec said, "I got you a little something too."

A/N: Cliffhanger! What did she get him? The next two chapters are going to be kinda connected/continuing this one, so I guess you'll find out. I'm super excited for the Book of Boba Fett, they actually released another teaser today and it got me so hyped. Also for anyone who doesn't know, flimsi is the Star Wars version of paper, so I just figured they'd call it wrapping flimsi instead of wrapping paper. It's my choice of words and I'm sticking to it. I also finally remembered to do the disclaimer. I was inspired to write this story because, despite how early it seems, I have wrapped all of my gifts for people. As of today we are three weeks to the Book of Boba Fett, and we only have to struggle through next until its the week of Christmas. Anyway thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed.
