"Daddy, I don't think I can do this." Ella said as the five year old nervously walk up to the elementary school.

"You can do it, bug. All you go to do is walk in the classroom and introduce yourself." Pacey told his daughter as she held out her arms for him to pick her up.

Joey rubbed her daughter's back softly as Ella put her head on Pacey's shoulder.

"But I don't want to leave you, Daddy."

"I know but what if I walked in and sat with you for a few minutes."

Ella's head slowly lifted up and she nodded her head as the three walked into the classroom. Ella didn't let go of Pacey as he sat down she sat in his lap. A little girl in front of her waved and Ella slowly started to wave back.

"Hi, I'm Katie. What's your name?"

"...Ella."

"Do you want to color with me?" Katie said to her as Ella slowly looked at the girl up and down. She had pink overalls and white tennis, she looked safe. Joey slowly rubbed Ella's back as she got up and walked over to the girl to seat next to her.

Joey then notice the look on her husband's face and she could tell by the sad look he was just trying to prove to their daughter it wasn't scary.

Joey and Pacey kissed and hugged their daughter goodbye and after introducing themselves to the teacher Mrs.Kelly, the couple started making their way out of the classroom and into the hallway.

"That was too quick." Pacey whispered.

"It was." Joey said as she watched her husband's sad reaction. They talked about having other kids but they didn't know when to start trying she would look to wait other year but moments like these make Joey want to have a million kids what Pacey. He was so kind, and gentle. She knew he would hurt them or betray them.

She softly put her hand on her husband's cheek. "You did really good." She said as she rubbed her finger across his cheek.

"Just feels like she doesn't need us." Pacey whispered as he looked at the door. There it was, the reason Joey fell for Pacey Witter.

Before Joey could say anything a small voice carry into the hallway.

"Daddy!!" Ella said as she walked out of the classroom.

Pacey's sad look then turned into concerned. "Hey, baby girl what's wrong?"

"I need you."

Pacey picked her up and he softly rubbed her daughter's back as she started to let out a small cry. "It's ok. How about I go into the classroom and stay there til you do something as a class."

"You can't stay with us the whole day?"

"No, I can't. Mommy and Daddy still have to work and you need to get out there El. I know it's hard but it will be good for you."

Ella then looked up at her Mom and with her big blue teary eye asked if she could stay with her and Pacey.

"Always." Joey said and then the three walked into the classroom.
