Title: Ice Skating
Characters: Ahsoka Tano, Anakin Skywalker, Obi-wan Kenobi, Clones.
Disclaimer: I do not own Star Wars.
"It certainly was nice of Senator Amidala to rent the ice skating rink for a few hours so that we don't have to be around so many people." Obi-Wan said as he Anakin, Ahsoka, and a small group of clones entered the ice skating rink. "Yes, it most certainly was." Anakin responded, he had hoped Padme would come with them but she couldn't, "Go enjoy spending time with your padawan and your friends, I have some important things I have to do anyway." she had told him. When she found out they were going skating, Ahsoka had insisted on bringing Rex, Jesse, Fives, Hardcase, Kix, and Cody. Surprisingly enough they had all agreed to come. Obi-Wan was relieved that Kix had agreed to come, knowing was possible with Anakin, Ahsoka, and group of clones ice skating, he was happy that they would have a medic there. Ahsoka quickly swapped her boots for a pair of white ice skates, and stepped onto the ice. "Careful Snips," Anakin said, "Ice skating can be tricky, don't be disappointed if you don't get at...first?" Ahsoka had started skating like she'd been doing all her life, leaving Anakin at a loss for words. What left him even more shocked was when Rex stood up, and went out on the ice to join her. Rex was skating like a professional too, and Anakin couldn't figure out what was happening, Obi-wan was just amused and impressed. Then music suddenly came on, and the rest of the clones went onto the ice and joined the impromptu skating number. If Anakin weren't so stunned, he was pretty sure he'd be impressed. Ahsoka and the clones preformed turns and jumps and lifts, all perfectly timed and executed. When they finished Obi-wan started clapping, "Bravo!" he called to them. They all held hands and bowed, or curtsied in Ahsoka's case. "How did you do that, and since when can you all do that?!" Anakin asked still feeling baffled. "Well," Ahsoka said, "I wanted to take skating lessons, but I didn't want to do it alone." "So we volunteered to take classes with her." Fives said. "Okay, how long have you all been secretly taking ice skating classes?" Anakin askec, "And how have you been keeping them a secret?" "The answer to your first question would be, awhile." Rex said slowly. "As for second question," Ahsoka said, "Let's just say it helps to have friends in high places." Anakin gave her a look, "Padme helped us." she said. In the time it had taken them to explain everything, Obi-wan had put on some ice skates, "Stop interrogating them Anakin, we came here to skate." he said as he skated out. "Since when can you skate!?" Anakin asked. Obi-wan just smiled and said nothing as everyone started skating again. Well, Anakin thought, Why not. They skated for the next few hours, then got some hot cocoa from Dex's Diner. "Today was fun," Ahsoka said as she sipped her cocoa, "But I'm exhausted." She looked up at Rex with pleading eyes and after a moment he sighed, "Alright, fine." he said, handing his empty cup to Kix. "You can never resist the Tooka eyes, can you Rex?" Hardcase teased as Rex lifted Ahsoka up and set her on his shoulders, "How would you like to clean the gunships Hardcase?" Rex said and when Fives started to chuckle Rex said, "Alright perfect, Fives, you can join him." Without another word Rex quickened his pace and Ahsoka turned around slightly to wave and give a mock salute to them. "Those two," Fives muttered, "Just as much a dynamic duo as Kenobi and Skywalker."
A/N: I know most of my stories are either clone wars or the book of Boba Fett related, but it's just what I've been inspired to write. I know this story might be a little odd, but I had so much fun writing it. Poor Anakin getting left out of the loop. And Hardcase and Fives on gunship cleaning duty. Also I just really felt like doing something with Ahsoka and Rex. They are such a dynamic duo and I really hope we see Rex in the Ahsoka series. So today is eleven days till Christmas, and fifteen days until The Book of Boba Fett. Thank for reading, feel free to leave a review if you'd like, and I hope you enjoyed.
