Under other circumstances, Poe probably wouldn't have wanted to go to church. But this year things were different, his father was being a bit un-holiday like. So when Rey said he was invited to go to church with her family, he couldn't refuse, even if it did mean he might have to sit next to Rey's grumpy older brother Ben. Aside from not having anything better to do, Poe had two other reasons for going. The first of which was because Rey, Rose, and Finn were all in the choir. The second reason was that his long time friend Kaydel was going to be playing the piano, and she was slightly terrified. He spotted her the moment they arrived. She was wearing a gold colored dress and her hair, which she normally wore in two top buns, was braided around her head like a crown. "I'll be right back, Mrs. Solo." he said, then hurried over to Kaydel. She was pacing anxiously near the piano, "Hey." Poe said, causing her to jump, "Don't scare me like that," she said, "I'm nervous enough as it is." "Sorry," he paused, "If it's any consolation, you look great." "Thanks." After an awkward silence Poe said, "Come on whats the worst that could happen?" Bad choice of words. Kaydel started pacing again, "I could mess up in front of everyone, This is important to a lot of people!" Poe grabbed her shoulders, stopping her mid-pace, "You messing up won't ruin everyone's holidays, besides I know you'll do great." "How?" she asked, "How do you know that?" "Because I know you," he said, "You've been working so hard and for so long to perfect each one of these songs, it's like Rey's uncle Luke is always saying, you must let go." Kaydel nodded, "Okay, I can do this."

Poe sat in his seat, next to Ben, and took it all in. Kaydel had been playing piano while the choir sang, but while they took a break, she had to play solo. She risked glancing at the audience, Poe met her gaze and gave a small nod. She turned back to the piano, "Just let go." she whispered to herself. Taking a deep breath, she started to play. Poe's eyes widened, she was even better now then when he had heard her practicing, she played a beautiful rendition of We Three Kings. As soon as she hit the final note, the daze she had found herself in disappeared and she was left with the thought, I can not believe I just did that.

"Hey, you did great!" Poe exclaimed, as he wrapped Kaydel up in a hug. "Thanks, I honestly don't know what happened," she said, "One minute I was terrified the next minute, it was over." They both laughed, then Kaydel became serious, "Thank you," she said, "For believing in me, even when I didn't." Poe smiled, "That's what friends are for." Rose, Rey, and Finn hurried over excitedly chattering about how good Kaydel was, they all went silent when Rey's mother came over. "You were all wonderful." She said, smiling at them. "Thank you Mrs. Solo." Rose, Finn, and Kaydel said while Rey said,

"Thanks mom." "Rey, Poe, it's time for us to get going." They said their goodbyes and went their separate ways. But during the car ride, Poe couldn't help but hum the tune Kaydel had been playing, then Rey heard him and started singing. First it was just the two of them, then Leia, and even Han and Ben started singing too. Soon enough they were all singing an a Cappella version of We Three Kings. Poe smiled, If only Kaydel knew what she had started.

A/N: I can not believe I pulled this off. The version of We Three Kings that I'm referring to is on Spotify(Thats where I listen to it) and it's by Open Blue Sky. Also, huge thanks to Kondoru for leaving another review, it made me so happy. In our count down we are at five days until Christmas Eve, six days until Christmas Day, and ten days until the Book of Boba Fett. I'm getting super excited, especially with all the teasers they've given us. Anyway, thank you for reading, feel free to leave a review, and I hope you enjoyed.
