Authoress' Note: I wrote this on the way to school. Actually, I had a pretty awful day at the beginning and then the inspiration came for this drabble came from the general idea of having a companion for one of my other drabbles.

Disclaimer: I don't own FMA. Get over it.

Words: 354. Longest drabble yet. (Not including Summery etc.)

Summery: A dream can reveal a lot of things about a person, especially a certain Lieutenant. No romance, Riza Centric, Drabble, One-Shot.

Riza Hawkeye was never the one to tell the truth.

Instead, she would tell a lie, which often lead to the truth anyway.

She liked to hide behind a mask because it would always protect her from any outside interference of feelings and emotions that would consume her.

But, Riza Hawkeye could never hide away from her dreams.

No, they would take her down when there was no way that she could keep that mask with her.

She would dream of wars, the pain and the suffering – the tears of a shattered future.

Often, she would dream about being a civilian, one of them. She would run through the burning buildings, hearing the screams and pleas of the innocent.

In these dreams, she felt helpless and alone.

So she would run…

Soon enough, the dream would lead her to the end of the village.

She would then stop running and look up at a very familiar figure standing solemnly in the distance. Alone.

Colonel Roy Mustang.

He would look at her with that infamous smirk of his.

She would then feel suddenly relieved and run to him.

But before she could reach his embrace, he would reach down for a pistol and point it directly at her.

She would stop—

The clock would freeze for a few seconds as a bullet was released—

It hit her like a rocket.

As soon as it hit her she would fall to the ground, in a pool of her own blood…

His body standing over her like an animal that just caught his pray—

Then Riza would wake up in her own bed, her body sweating like crazy and her eyes as big as oranges. Her heart pounding like crazy.

She had next to no idea why she kept dreaming about Roy and his attempt to try and kill her—

All she knew was that it scared her to death.

So, she then laid back down, staring up at the ceiling.

Tomorrow, she began with a deepened breath, before wiping a strand of hair away from her face. I'll make sure there is a tomorrow.

As I said before, this was written at school. Yeah… I was bored on the bus an inspiration caught me off guard. Writing on the bus makes me feel a tad nauseous though. Anyway, other than that, please Read and Review. Thank you.
