Pacey had been painting for what felt like forever. The only problem about Joey being 33 weeks pregnant was the fact that she couldn't help with the walls. Well, she could but Pacey made it known that she couldn't especially with twins.
"What are you doing, Daddy?" Leo's little voice said as he came into the room.
"Painting the room for the babies." Pacey said as he step down from the ladder.
"Doesn't Mama usually paint things?" Leo asked him. Pacey shrugged and looked up at the wall. Did it really look that bad? He thought it look pretty good.
"Yeah but Mommy can't paint because she can't smell the air... and now that I think about it. Shouldn't you be getting ready for bed?"
"Yeah, Mama said you need to bathe me because she doesn't feel like bending over." Leo said. "Race you there!"
Pacey was about to stop him from running to the door but Leo had already knock over the paint. "Damn it."
Pacey looked up at his son to see paint all over his foot and paint on the carpet. Leo look at himself and the mess and started to cry.
Next he knew Joey was coming upstairs along with Ella.
"What the hell?" Joey said as she looked at the mess. "Pacey!"
Now he had a crying boy and a mad wife. Ella covered her mouth to keep her laughter hidden as she slowly back out of the room. Joey walked over to Leo and look at the mess.
"You ok, bubs?" Joey asked softly as she slowly bend down. Leo shook his head and Pacey picked Leo up.
"I'm sorry, Mommy and Daddy."
Joey looked and smiled sweetly. "We aren't mad, baby."
"But Daddy said Damn it." Leo said.
Joey gave Pacey a look that he was probably going to have to deal with this. "Yeah and I said what the hell. Honey that doesn't mean we are mad at you. Daddy and I say stupid stuff when we are caught off guard." Joey said and slowly lifted herself up the guard which took a lot of effort and Pacey suddenly thought she was a superwoman.
"Leo look at me. We love you, ok?" Joey whispered and she then looked at Pacey. "I love you too." She said to him.
"Now Daddy is going to wash the paint off of you and call someone in the morning to help with the carpet." Joey said and kissed both boys on the cheek and walked out.
There was his punishment having to clean up the messy Maybe he should have let her painted after all.
