Four year old Ella walked in and sat on the living room while Pacey fell asleep. She looked around and saw a marker on the table. She knew her mommy told her not to do it but right now she knew she had to. Mommy wasn't home and Daddy was supposed to watch her.
Ella climbed her little body on top of Pacey and open the marker. But instead of drawing on him she closed the marker and took her finger and open Pacey's eyes with it like Joey does when Pacey fall asleep when he is supposed to be doing something.
"Daddy." Ella whispered.
"Hmmm...Ella. That hurts."
"You supposed to play." Ella whispered and put her little chin on her Dad's.
"But sleeping sounds great, too."
Ella looked at him with her big blue eyes and stare into his soul. He knew this look at this moment she looked like Joey and him at that moment and just like how he is with with his wife. He could never say no to his daughter.
1) He never wanted her to feel like she wasn't heard. 2) She would tell Joey.
He picked her up and carried her like a airplane as they raced into the playroom.
