"Alright, El. We are going shopping for Mom." Pacey said as he carried his six year old daughter through the mall.
"Why?" Ella asked.
"Because it's about to be Christmas."
Ella tilted her head at Pacey. "But doesn't Santa give gifts to adult?" She asked. Pacey nervously clear his throat.
"I mean sure. But this is different. This is fot mommy."
"We could make a photo book." Ella said.
"A photo book?"
"Mommy would love it."
Pacey shrugged as he carried Ella out of the mall and back to the car to go to a craft store.
The rest of the day, they spent it at Doug's as they cut and glue to make a scrapbook for Joey. Sure enough Ella was right. Joey loved the gift.
