A few hours had passed and it was almost noon, when Law set up his transponder snail and let it ring for a bit before the other picked up, "It's me, I left the Shichibukai." the other said.
My skin crawled just from his voice, 'He creeps me out just as much as All For One, not to mention I can just hear the smile in his voice.' Everyone started freaking out when Luffy shouted into the transponder snail.
Usopp hit him and told him to stop, sighing before entering the kitchen. Grabbing what I needed then walking back out towards Luffy, shoving the meat into his mouth and dragging him away from the transponder snail. "Be quiet and eat, you can shout your head off at him when we get there." Informing as Law dealt with the negotiation situation.
After Law sorted out everything and hung up, there was still quite a bit of commotion over how Law didn't specify how many men Doflo guy could bring. Law brushed it off and explained that turning Caesar over to him was, in itself, a decoy.
Finally letting go of Luffy as he talked with Law about Dressrosa, barely listening to the conversation. It was fairly simple, the basic idea was finding a factory, destroying it, and possibly, no, definitely, taking down Doflo. Though that is just an over simplified explanation, Luffy cheered and laughed about adventure as everyone headed to the kitchen for an early lunch.
Law shouted and grumbled at Luffy about needing a plan before going to Dressrosa, though no one seemed to be paying attention other than Eraser and Greeny. Everyone expressed what food they wanted, seemingly deciding on sandwiches, to which Law blurted out that he hates bread.
He seemingly shocked himself at the sudden comment, realizing he was slowly adapting to the chaotic crew. Laughing in amusement while patting his back, "Careful, I'd almost mistake you for part of the crew." Smiling before joining the others, taking a mental picture of Law's priceless expression.
The samurai guy was explaining how they got lost and whatever else when he mentioned a place or something that Law seemed interested in, the conversation was all around boring, so logically, I let Eraser pay attention for the both of us. While they talked about whatever, I snatched a sandwich from Luffy's over-piled plate and walked out onto the deck, leaning against the railing while watching the Island drift into view. Everyone finished eating as we stood out on the deck and looked up at the large rocky landform, 'I hope we don't have to climb.' internally groaning at the thought.
"Wooah, what's that bulky island!?" Luffy said "We're here! Dressrosa!" He shouted as Usopp berated him for yelling, saying how Doflo would hear us. To which Zoro questioned "How could he...?" The samurai shouted some name and me, Eraser, and Law all sighed.
'Is it too late to go back to sleep?' Pondering while glancing over at Eraser, a smirk growing on my face as he furrowed his brows at me. Slipping behind him quietly before jumping onto his back, he stumbled a bit and glared at me.
"What am I? Your pack mule?" He grumbled. Smiling at his words while shaking my head,
"No silly, Usopp's the pack mule. You're the equivalent of an uber, or rather, a carriage?" Patting his shoulder as he stared at me with a dead panned expression.
"The difference?" He questioned. Thinking for a moment before coming to an answer,
"I wouldn't toss you to the enemy." Replying confidently as Usopp shouted at me.
"How generous of you." He said sarcastically. Shrugging lazily while kicking my legs back and forth to annoy him,
Everyone got ready to dock as the three musketeers looked in question at me and Eraser, "Something about this seems illegal." Bakugo said. Humming in slight agreement to his words,
"Are you sure you guys are enemies?" Deku questioned. Raising an eyebrow while glancing at Eraser before laughing,
"You're kidding me, right?" Looking at them noticing their shared expression, 'They're, not kidding, I mean. I guess a lot has happened, but we called a truce simply because there would be no point in fighting until we get back. Have we actually, b-bonded…?' Shivering at the thought, 'That's an uncomfortable thought…' grumbling before climbing off of Eraser's back. Rubbing the back of my neck and cracking it as Luffy shouted about landing, "Whelp, might as well get going. Chaos isn't going to wait for long."
It seemed we joined in at the right time, a fight had already started. Not surprisingly, Luffy was involved. Kin'emon was trying to stop Momonosuke as they turned to arguing, after that was somewhat resolved. Kin'emon tried to convince the two women, that on Dressrosa every female (minus kids because JAIL) walked around naked, obviously it was dismissed as a lie. Though Sanji seemingly wanted to believe it, glancing over at Nami and Law who was handing her a piece of paper.
He was saying to use it if something happens to us, it was a smart idea. Because something will seriously happen on this island today, and it more than likely won't be pretty.
"Hey! Nothing will happen to us!" Usopp shouted in interjection,
"Who knows. This is the map drawn by my comrades." Law replied, quickly moving on as he pulled out a map from his coat pocket.
"Uwah, how bad!" Nami said, referring to the badly drawn map.
"Currently...We're here!" Law pointed on the map. "The team that will give back Caesar, will go through Dressrosa, and cross the long bridge that leads North to Green Bit." He finished explaining.
"We should go all together with the ship!" Usopp suggested,
"We can't get there with a ship." Law replied,
"Oh, that sounds like fun." Robin chimed,
"A-At least let's use a safe route!" Caesar wallowed,
"A-As long as we're cautious of the possible scheme." Deku noted as Law nodded,
"When we get there, you four will hide nearby while I wait. If something goes wrong or there is even a slight chance things are going to go south, take Caesar back to the ship and you guys leave for Zou." He said as some of them shared some uncertain looks.
Walking over to Shoto and patting his head, slightly crouching down in front of him. "If things go wrong and I tell you to run, you leave with them. Alright? I'm not taking no for an answer, If things take a turn for the worst. You have to promise me you will go." Conferring with him as he looked at me with an unsure expression.
"I'm not going to leave you a second time." He expressed, starting to tear up.
"I- can't fight and worry about protecting you at the same time, I know you can handle yourself, but there are a lot of things that are different between our universes. And I'd never forgive myself if I underestimated any enemy and let you fight someone you could possibly get killed by." Wrapping my hand around the back of his neck and pressing my forehead to his.
"Just promise me this once, I promise I will meet you back in Zou if things come to that." Searching his eyes as they seemingly came to a decision,
"Okay, but you better keep your promise this time." He stated as my eyes slightly widened. My expression softened and a slight smile formed on my lips.
"Yeah, I will." Hugging him a bit before standing up and clearing my throat to try and brush the previous events off. Walking over to Nami while rubbing the back of my neck and sighing.
"Can you promise me that you'll keep Shoto safe if things do go wrong? I'm fine with him fighting as long as you feel the enemy is someone he can handle, the kid is pretty strong. Just, if you get into a situation where things don't look good. Take care of him, I'm asking, but I'm also telling you. Because I will keep you responsible for whatever happens to him." Searching her eyes, she seemed slightly afraid at the implied message of my words.
"Okay, okay. I get it, I'll keep him safe." She put her hands in front of her and motioned for me to back off.
Nodding, glancing around, remarking that Luffy and the others were already heading up the hill. Rolling my eyes and grabbing Shoto's hand as we snuck off to catch up. Huffing as we finally caught up, of course Luffy was entranced by the smell of food. And Sanji was twirling at the sight of women, then there was something really strange. A stuffed toy was chasing a dog who stole one of its arms, blinking a few times to make sure I was seeing things correct.
"Stuffed...Toys…?" Luffy questioned, confirming that I wasn't somehow sleep deprived or simply seeing things.
"So, I'm guessing animated dolls aren't common in this world? At least from your reaction, because it's definitely not a thing in our universe. If they were a thing, Toga would have a pile in the hideout to stab." Shivering at the thought "At least then she wouldn't try to stab us in our sleep...Hopefully."
The street was filled with people and toys, Toga would definitely love it here. Sighing 'These toys are giving me major creep vibes, I almost miss Punk Hazard.'
"Waah, a man was stabbed!" Someone yelled,
"Ahh, again?" Someone said,
"What do you mean, again?" Me and Zoro said simultaneously,
"Is there a serial criminal?" Zoro questioned
"Yeah, here." Pointing at myself as they stared for a bit before returning to the conversation.
"No, the women of this country are really passionate...and jealous. When they find out a betrayal...They stab people. The more beautiful they are, the more they stab!" The toy soldier said,
"Scary!" The others replied,
'Yeah, Toga would definitely love it here. Maybe if I find them I'll bring them here, if the island isn't turned to complete rubble by the end of this.' Sighing,
"Uhhm! Toys are alive, but oh well! Let's get something to eat!" Luffy said,
""Oh well!" Nothing! Living toys is both a topic I never thought I'd encounter, and something that seriously needs explaining. And didn't we already eat not too long ago? You guys have the metabolism of a damn hummingbird." Replying,
We got some disguises, well, beards...They got beards and hats for disguises...I thankfully didn't need one, since well, my hair is whiter than a whiteboard, that or a Caucasian, take your pick. And my skin is clearer than freaking spring water, so poster or not, I'm not getting recognized even if I wanted to.
"I should not be wasting time in such a place!" Kin'emon grumbled,
"Cool down. It's true that we don't have much time...but it's better to look for information that goes at random." Franky calmed the samurai.
"But don't you think it's weird? The king of this country resigned his post this morning. I was sure everyone would be panicking." Sanji mentioned,
"Maybe they don't know?" Zoro replied,
"No way!" Franky declined the answer,
Looking around at the laughing citizens, "They definitely know, and they were definitely panicking."
"Then why-?" Sanji interrupted,
"If you'd let me finish, I think mine and Eraser's intuitions were correct. There's definitely something more going on here, I'm sure the others know by now as well. The question now though...what are we going to do? If this Doflo guy hasn't actually resigned his position, and it was all a scheme to simply trick us. We're already here, and no doubt they've already set some sort of traps. They may already know that we're here. Either way, there's no way out now, we're stuck in a toy box…" Informing the group,
Everyone shared a worried look as Luffy stuffed his face with food. 'I hate going against brainiacs like this guy, more because they're annoying as hell, and too predictable. I work with one after all…' Ruffling Shoto's hair with a sigh and small smile. "Looks like we've got a tough mission, Mr. Hero."
