The Absolute Being was immeasurably powerful, but that power came with even larger drawbacks. Though it may appear as if he is ever-lasting, the power of all Higher Beings in a single entity would pose a great danger to his very existence. And he was no fool. He was a being with infinite amounts of knowledge, his mind able to find millions upon millions of outcomes for a single action. And yet, even with his extensive knowledge, only one outcome was observed: his death.

The Rulers, adorned with their unassailable armour, glowing with Mana, stepped onto the extensive, well-manicured courtyard.

The Absolute Being strode angrily into the opening, the light fully enveloping his body, intimidating the puny Rulers.

"You… daring to raise your hand against me?! YOU IMBECILES! YOU FRAGMENTS ALONE CANNOT MATCH MY POWER!"

"You created us for the sole reason of entertainment. Us "imbeciles" are carrying out the objective you programmed us with: To defeat the Monarchs, and maintain the balance of the universe." Correnic responded, raising her high-tech rifle. "We have been your puppets for too long, Being. This feud will be the last of your entertainment."

"Creations… you underestimate me. And, you overestimate yourselves. Ashborn, heed my call once more, and defeat your new enemies."

The energy beside the Absolute Being surged as space warped, Ashborn stepping through the now open Gate.

"You… dare to confront the Absolute Being?! HOW FOOLISH!" Ashborn yelled, stabbing his sword into the Mana-infused ground. "To even touch him, you must go through me."

Ashborn let out an intimidating aura, one that was almost to the level of an Original Ten Primordial. His body started glowing as his Spiritual Body manifested, Mana-reinforced armour wrapping around his body.

The armour Ashborn had on was carefully crafted, seemingly sculpted for his large frame, fitting his muscles. White accents trailed his sides, leading up to his 3 sets of massive wings. His crown-like helm was studded with rubies and sapphires, whilst three prongs jutted from the top.

The Rulers summoned their armour and weapons, steeling their nerves for the battle that decides the multiverse's fate.

"I will give one last chance. You bow to me once more, and all will be forgiven. You continue this treachery, and you will be decimated."

"We have seen your true intentions. We will never back down."

"So be it."

Seemingly teleporting, the Being drove his glowing, Mana enhanced fist into Aeic's chest, sending him through a marble pillar. With a wave of his hand, he dispersed Razar's white wall of flames and held down Grantuld with the strongest gravitational magic.

Serenia tried to land a hit on Ashborn, but he blocked it, punching her straight into the ground, sending miniature shockwaves blasting away Pulra.

"You were fools, choosing to fight me. I am all powerful!" The Being faced at Arkturk, his foot phasing straight through the hastily projected shield, ending in Arkturk barreling into Correnic.

Razar shot another wall of fire at the Being, hitting him square in the backside, stumbling him for a second.

Seeing her chance, Correnic shot her rifle at the Absolute Being, resulting in a flattened lead pellet, and a miniscule puncture wound.

The Being wiped the cut with his finger, showing only a small amount of blood. "All that… for a drop of blood… pathetic." The wound healed immediately.

Ashborn shot forward, stabbing through Pulra's bicep, rendering his left arm useless.

All the Rulers sent out their strongest attack, aligned with the Beings head. The shot seemingly hit, but as the smoke and dust cleared, a hole, no larger than a baseball, revealed itself, straight through Ashborn's chest.

"You… Ashborn… no… NO!"

The Being begins to hover above the ground, now covered by the black Void energy, and

swirling Light energy.

"You… taking the last Fragment still loyal to me. You. Shall. PAY!"

The Being exploded in power and light, pushing back Aeic and Grantuld, who were trying to land one more hit. The Being summoned chains, wrapping them around the Rulers, holding them back, and disrupting the focus for attacks.

Ashborns consciousness was still in his body. He could eject his Essence at any time, and escape to a new body, and help the Being. But his mind and the Being had other plans.

As the world went black, the Being drew Ashborn's mind into a separate dimension, wishing to talk to him one last time.

The next thing he knew, Ashborn was in front of the Being, kneeling.

"Ashborn… it seems this… is my end."

"M-my lord! W-"

"This was foreseen, Ashborn. I have only now seen the signs. Even now, the Primordials are creating Gates, each one leading to our final battlefield."

"Then we stop them! We cou-"

The Being cut him off, "No. You will not fight them for now. In time you will, but not yet."

"B-but we could win! You would live on!"

The Absolute Being smiled, "Ashborn, even on the brink of death, you are yet loyal to me. Do not fret, Ashborn, for I will arise once again. And you, my creation, will be there to keep me in line."

"Please, sir. Live!"

"I cannot prolong the inevitable any longer. However, I am able to bestow one final gift."

A surge of energy, and the appearance of Gates startled the Absolute Being, the chains slightly loosening, allowing the Rulers to escape. They stood up, Arkturk manifesting his strongest shield, and casting it around the Being.

"You have tipped the scale of balance. You are now an enemy of the universe." All Primordials said, the words reverberating through the spine of the Being.

"YOU ALL ARE TREACHEROUS! HOW DARE YOU ALL GO AGAINST ME!" The Absolute Being screamed, punching the planet with a glowing fist.

The planet was enveloped in a golden light, blinding every single being on this planet. The Absolute Being softly growled, "All of you… ignorant to my brilliance."

"You're the only ignorant one here. You could have prevented this if you kept the balance."

"You cannot defeat me. I am immortal." The Being said, verbally defying the exhaustion suddenly dawning on him.

The Absolute being tried to stand, but failed, falling back to the ground. "So… this is my end?"

The Ten Primordials, gathered behind the forces of the Rulers, each extended a hand. Their Essence reached out, pulling at the power of their Creator and taking it for themselves.

The Being laughed, "You are all fools!" The Being laughed again, thinking to himself, "You want my power? Very well. Take it. But know this my creations, what you steal, is your own end."

The Absolute Being could barely let loose the words from his lips before Grantuld's leg kicked out, snapping his knee and dropping him to the ground. A round from Correnic tore through his right arm and Razar's white flames ate away at his left, trapping it in an inescapable vortex.

The Absolute Being coughed out a laugh as something akin to pain assailed his physical form. "I am… the only God."

Serenia's hand, covered in glowing Mana, sliced through the air, decapitating the bored God.

"And God… is no more."

From the Absolute Being's stump poured his Spiritual Essence. It only managed to take a single inch of freedom from its physical form before halting mid-air. The Primordials once again reached out, their inscrutable auras tearing away at his, and absorbing the Essence into their being.

The Rulers' allowed a sigh of relief to finally escape their throats. For several eons they had fought by their Maker's command, never knowing the true slavery they had endured. To be free was an impossible ecstasy. But their fight was not yet over, so they set to work, tearing into the God's vault of treasures.

As the Rulers and their army recovered from their losses and wounds, the Primordials prepared to end the war, then and there. They could not end the Absolute Being alone, but after that, much like the Monarchs, the Rulers existed only to tip the scales of balance in the wrong direction.

Mania watched as the Primordial of Entropy, Malign moved his massive humanoid body, transitioning to the weight of a dragon. His scales appeared to be made of the very fabric of the universe, much like the other Tens' true bodies.

White energy gathered in the back of Malign's throat, his Entropy Energy. But before it could discharge upon the far weaker and outnumbered Rulers, a drowsiness assailed the Primordials.

They collapsed to the floor of the Absolute Being's palace, minds going dark as his Essence, which they had turned to raw energy, took up its role as their poisoner.

They could not remove it from their bodies and they could not halt its effect. So, they did the only thing they could to save themselves.

Ten Gates opened beneath them, sucking them back to their home territory. Only one of them, Mania, managed a final message to one of her children, Nemesis, The Primordial of Balance. "Gather your brothers and sisters, any who will heed your call for correcting the scales. Fill our empty roles. Kill the Higher Beings and maintain balance." It was a call that would go nigh unheard.

Ashborn's body was long gone, yet his consciousness was yet to fade.

His thoughts raced, thinking off all the possible ways to defeat the Rulers. He found one, "Join the Monarchs."

The failsafe the Absolute Being placed within him activated, drawing in energy to reform his body. Yet this body was different, one that truly shows his place as the Shadow Lord. His new form, one that strikes fear into the heart of his enemies. He is now a Shadow Being, arisen from the sheer anger, and the gift of power over shadows.

Joining the Monarchs, and gruesomely tearing off his wings, he now is the Shadow Monarch, able to revive his perished enemies, and bring them as his allies, ever-loyal, and never tires. His power grants him the ability to grow his army into an unfathomable size, potentially billions of Chaos World inhabitants could be in his army.

All done with one word, one that holds immeasurable power, and one of two of the most powerful phrases in the universe, "Arise."
