A/N: So, I'm back, alive, and somewhat okay. 'Another year of school is coming' soon, and virtual/distance learning is no longer a thing. -sigh-
Anyway, yeah... Reading light novels has been fun, but I guess I can no longer do that...
Uh... let's... do a poll. If you want a one-shot kinda thing like the SCP thing that Project (AKA Sovereign) did in Shadow Hero, say... I dunno, "OS_Hype '' or something.
So yeah, one chapter in... a month? Maybe more? I'm sorry, guys, my sense of time is warped right now. Shits hitting the fan, and I can barely keep up with the will to function.
Anyway, nothing to worry about, just a passing thing. Happens all the time.
New chapter hype, let's go.
Oh, short P.S, kinda gorey chapter once again.
Izuku had no idea what was happening, only registering the sounds of battle and civilian screams all around him. From what he knew, something or other was attacking the city he was in, which was, strangely, in the Gate.
A dark form flew by, crashing into a man, sending him tumbling into the ground. Said form had the shape of a child with huge bat-like wings connected to its arms. Tiny horns grew out of its head, angled backwards, sticking out of dark purple hair. When the Izuku looked at it, the name above its head said Death Demon, glowing a bright white.
[New Creature Identified.]
Name: Death Demon
Attribute: Dark/Death
Vitality: 10
Mana: 0/100
[Description: Darkness demons are creatures summoned from the vast pits of Tartarus by another demon. They can also be summoned via [Demon Summoning Ritual] or by opening a [Hell's Gate]. By eating any living thing, whether it be plant, animal, beastkin, dragonkin, etc, they gain mana at a higher rate. Eating humans, however, seems to fully replenish their mana, causing them to target settlements, towns, or in some cases, cities. Their eyes, which glow a bright, blood red, allow for the Demon to use magic, which in turn can be used by humans when bound to a weapon or staff.]
The Demon in question sat on the man, eating bloody chunks of human flesh. It would have been a horrifying sight, if not for Izuku being used to this type of scene. Though, he was still disgusted.
As the Demon ate chunk after chunk, replenishing its depleted mana pool, ticking up two at a time. It screeched as it finished replenishment, and bared its fangs towards the sky. Two beady red eyes turned towards Izuku, finally registering the onlookers, or lack thereof. Once more, it screeched, all teeth bared at Izuku, trying to intimidate said person. But nothing happened.
Izuku stood there, staring at the Demon, while it stared back. Neither moved, and neither spoke or screeched.
Suddenly, a white, yellow tinged magic circle appeared in front of its face, surprising the Demon. It blasted the Demon in the face, knocking it off of the half-eaten corpse, and sliding it across the ground.
Before Izuku had reacted, he sensed something speeding towards him, and felt hostility towards the Demon. A thin, fit form shot past him, skewering the Demon with a spear, the blade glowing a light green, humming slightly. The Demon thrashed around, leaving scratches on the newcomer's skin, while bleeding out.
Punching it, spurts of blood shot out from the scratches on the Demon, spraying the spear-man with blood. Grunts of effort and screams of anger could be heard from both fighters, while Izuku just stood there, watching and killing Demons who flew too close.
The Demon hit a lucky shot, sinking his long fingernails into the man's skin and earned a cry of pain from said man. With each punch the Demon survived, the more damage he could deal, and damage he did.
The man was in a convenient position where the Demon could sink his bloody fangs into his arm, releasing himself from the chokehold he was in. That wasn't enough to stop the man, however, as the Demon was kicked in the chest, and landed on the floor, limbs in positions it shouldn't be in.
HP slowly ticking down, the Demon became slower, unable to out-speed the man. The man was the same, with both HP and stamina critically low. Each were trying to finish each other, both fighting for survival.
Throwing punch after punch, the Demon's HP slowly ticked down, low enough to where a single stab could kill it.
The man got up, panting. The Demon lay on the floor, desperately trying to pull the magic-imbued spear out of its chest, but to no avail. Placing his foot on the Demon's torso, wincing as it sank its fingers into his ankle, he started to pull on the spear. With a strained grunt from the man, and a pained squeal from the Demon, the spear was pulled out, and placed above its heart, foot still on its torso.
"...You... You have caused enough damage." the man panted, slowly regaining control of his breath. "These scars will become my prized signs of valor. Now, I say: Be gone, demon!"
Plunging the spear down, the Demon's heart burst, punctured by the blade that found its mark.
With a final roar of pain and anger, the Demon's glowing red eyes slowly faded, leaving only hollow, deep black orbs that seemingly had no pupils. The beady, and now black, eyes held no trace of ever being imbued with light. Only the body, which lay twitching, showed proof of the Demon's existence.
"Well... that was fascinating."
Startled by the voice, the man raised his spear, the blade glowing green once more, now pointing in Izuku's direction.
"Who's there?!" The man yelled, eyes scanning everywhere in front of him, finally landing on the small armoured frame of Izuku.
"By your standards, I'm a civilian. Though, I do have armour, so am I mounted as militia? Oh well, semantics." Izuku shrugged, not knowing what to call himself so that the man would understand.
"If you were part of the militia, why didn't you help?" Hefting the spear higher, the man squinted, clearly suspicious of the unknown person. "You must have seen me struggling."
Izuku only gestured out to the pile of dead Demon bodies, lined up in rows. "This, my friend, was what I was protecting you from."
Even with already low spirits, they dropped further, seeing the dozens of lines on the road of Demon bodies. He knew that, if they ever got to him, and Izuku wasn there, he would have definitely been overwhelmed. He would have been a light snack for the Demons. He could take out one or two, possibly three with well-aimed ice spears, but not the tens that lay on the road.
Izuku was staying silent, only observing the reactions of the unknown man beside him. Judging from his physique, and if he went all out, the man could possibly take out ten at most before being shredded to tiny cubes.

"Huh... I can't see his name. Weird..."
"H-How- how did you... y-you don't even..." Quietly, and full of stutters, the man spoke out his thoughts, ending in a simple question: "Are you a Mage?"
Izuku tilted his head in thought, one shoulder shrugging. "It depends on what you mean by "Mage." If you mean that I use magic, then yes. But if you mean to say that I use magic, and just that, then no. Again, semantics."
"Hah...hehehah." With a slight crazed laugh, the man verbalized his thoughts once more. "Who knew that I would meet someone like this? Someone far stronger... hahah..."
The man slowly sat down, dropping the spear as his head was wrapped with his hands. He rocked himself, whispering unintelligible words, presumably about the absolute insanity about the situation.
Suddenly, a shield made of darkness appeared behind him, startling the man as a magic circle discharged, shielding the sun in a veil of smoke and dust.
From the explosion, Izuku's hair was ruffled even further, but nothing on him was damaged or hurt. Pieces of rubble, flying at the speed of sound, bounced harmlessly off of Izuku and his shield, not even pushing him back an inch.
"Oh? You survived, huh?"
Stepping into view, a humanoid demon brushed off his shoulders, tiny pieces of rubble falling off of his, what seemed to be, professionally, and custom, tailored suit jacket. To match, he wore the entire outfit, which consisted of a suit jacket, dress shirt, and dress pants. All of the things he wore were black, except for the bow tie, which was neatly laced.
The red and gold eyes of the demon glinted in the sun, giving off the feeling of contempt, or confidence.
"To think that a mere human could survive a blast that strong."
Izuku just stared at him, green eyes piercing through the skin and peering through his soul. Of course, the demon didn't notice, but felt something... off.
Izuku only shrugged. "I mean, it is a big world. It's bound to have someone stronger."
The demon just chuckled. "You seem confident. I will enjoy seeing that same confidence crumble."
The demon's eyes started to darken, giving way to a full black eye. A white and beige tinted magic circle appeared under Izuku. From that, a pillar of black flames soared upwards, enveloping him.
As the pillar thinned, the demon prepared another magic circle, this one appearing in front of his raised hand. All of his fingers were spread wide, open palm now facing the pillar of fire.
To the demon's surprise, there stood Izuku, nothing on him burnt or damaged. Not even a tick of damage had been taken, only the scorched earth around him in a perfect circle. Not a single piece of armour was melted, which came at an even bigger surprise to the, now angry, demon.
"Y-you... heh... hehehahah..." The demon laughed. He was officially angry, and decided to show this... puny mortal what insignificance he had in his Lord's perfect world.
"Die." The magic circle fired a boulder larger than a house, trajectory aimed directly at Izuku's head. "Die... die die diediediediediedie! DIE!"
With each word, a single boulder, the exact same size as the other, came out of a magic circle, colliding with each other and crashing into Izuku. Or seemed to be.
Izuku was having an easy time crushing these boulders with his hand. Each one just felt like striking a very thin, and very long piece of wood, easily just punching through. His hands never hurt, even after punching through a hundred house-sized boulders. With each punch, dirt and dust flew high into the sky, obscuring the demon's vision on Izuku.
Panting and sweating profusely, the demon peered into the large crater that had formed from the barrage. Dust and dirt was now settling, revealing a very undamaged, and largely unharmed Izuku, who was staring right back at him.
"Why?! Why won't you just die?!"
"I told you. There might always be someone stronger than you."
The demon laughed once more, covered in dust, soot, dirt and sweat, unbearably angry. Laughing like a madman, he seemingly unleashed his full power, blowing everything in close proximity away from him. The dust and dirt were now kicked back up, but rushed away from the raging wind surrounding him.
The demon's eyes were now glowing an angry red, leaving trails of light in its wake. It's fingers were now claws, sharper than any regular sword or spear. His horns, once small, now true horns, curling outward, almost spiralling. His body expanded, muscles bulging out from the suit, which was now tearing.
The slender, once talk-prone demon leader, now a bulky, muscle based brute that lost control of its feelings and now wants to rampage.
"You... you shall know PAIN!"
The demon bolted at Izuku at breakneck speeds, reaching his mark in less than a second. His maddened glee just soared when he saw Izuku standing there, not moving at all. He thought he had an open shot.
Then he retreated.
Jumping back, out of punching range, the demon was sweating once more, fearful of this... mortal. His fear came from the image he just had in his head: his body being shredded into molecules by a single punch to the body, effectively killing him in milliseconds.
"You... H-How?! Where do you get all this power?!"
Izuku just peered into the demon-turned-brute's eyes, alarming him. "Become a Primordial. Become a Higher Being. Either one."
His eyes widened, staggering slightly. His opponent, who he thought was just an inhumanly strong mortal, was the same as a god?!
"Heh. I guess I was bound to lose, wasn't I?" The demon chuckled dryly. "Hear me out, whoever you are. Remember me, the Red Demon Duke, Dathen Wardfire."
In a flash, Izuku appeared behind the demon, arm raised, and out to the side. His fingers, which were in the shape of a blade, had blood dripping off of them, but from an unknown source.
Like melting ice, he felt a cut open, slowly releasing blood in droplets, like the muscle fibres had just caught up with reality. A paper thin cut that spread around his entire neck. A cut, which was allowing his head to slide right off his shoulders.
Dathen's head landed with a loud thunk as it hit the ground, along with his body, sending a small cloud of dirt flying.
"S-so this is my death, huh?"
His head rolled to the side, giving his eyes a clear line of sight to his body, laying completely still beside him. His neck was leaking blood in a constant stream, slowly deflating like a balloon.
"If it is by him, I have no regrets."
Izuku saw the slight smile appear on Dathen's face as his eyes lost their light. What was once a mighty Demon, now lay on the road, just a shell of his former glory. The death of a Demon Duke would later shock the entire world to its core, and stories of how a mysterious man with green hair would pop up as a hero of the world, second only to the Demon King Slayer.
Izuku looked around, but could not see the man who he had protected. Figuring he had just ran while he could, Izuku snapped his fingers, sending out thousands of inky-black tendrils of Shadow to kill the rest of the demons still in the city.
Slowly, bodies were lined up, with rows upon rows filled with demon bodies with a uniform hole in their chest, heart missing. In the end, twenty rows with a hundred demons each were lined, plus the Demon Duke placed at the head.
Raising a clawed hand, Izuku finally called out: "This is my call to you, Demons. Heed it, and serve once more, as you have your previous master. Join the Shadow Army, and become one with Shadows! ARISE!"
Somewhere in a distant kingdom:
A man in a business suit was standing in the middle of an open field. Wheat can be seen growing on plateaus in the distance. A mountain, standing taller than the clouds, rose up in a faraway place, slightly obscured by a low-hanging fog that lingered over the field.
"I am reporting from the town of… I apologise if I pronounce this wrong… R-Ra-Rättvik?" The man spoke, slightly stuttering at the town's name. "From just one look, this peaceful town in the Kingdom of Iron, or Järnriket, as locals call it, is a wonderful place to live."
The footage of the man changes to a video of a wide and deep stream, with people in medieval villager-esque clothing washing their laundry. A few kids are running around in it, while people upstream are drinking straight from it.
"A clear, running stream nearby is a great source of clean, fresh water for cooking, cleaning, bathing, and drinking. Along with the abundant harvests in the spring and summer, they have more than enough food to share with everyone in town, whether you are a traveller, adventurer, or a local resident."
Suddenly, a shadow looms over the reporter and cameraperon, startling them. The roar of a dragon can be heard, while the steady beating of wings signalled its rapid descent to the ground. As it landed, the water around it made waves, pushed back by the rushing air blowing from it's wings.
Slowly, a dragon with an azure blue body came into view of the camera, who then panned towards it, the body filling the screen. Children ran up to it, laughing and screaming in delight as it playfully and softly lifted him up with its mouth.
One of the other children ran up to the dragon and started talking to it. "Hey, hey, Saphira, can you do the water thing?!"
The children laughed even harder as they were lifted into the sky, riding miniature dragons made of water. Each one flew around Saphira's head, making cute squeaks in place of dragon roars.
The reporter was slightly smiling to himself, the peaceful aura of the scene slightly breaking through the serious facade, causing him to unconsciously smile.
A thin woman, presumably the mother of a child, called the names of two children. "Oskar, Nia, we need to go!"
"Okay! Bye Saphira!" The children hugged the azure dragon, who wrapped her long neck around the children, simulating a hug. The dragon, seemingly sad, watched the children leave for a few seconds before flapping her massive wings. As she left the ground, picking up airspeed, the dragon spit out a mist of water, lightly dusting the surrounding plants with their needed moisture.
The reporter watched the dragon leave, the camera turning back to him, showing his side profile.
The TV shut off as a person stepped onto a platform, surrounded by the computers containing the head of every country in the world.
"First off, as you just saw, a report has come in from the recording cew sent into the Gate. They had some trouble setting up the receivers on their side, so it took longer than anticipated.
"Now, it was also recorded that humans are a lifeform in the Gate, but hace medieval-like lifestyles.'' The speaker shuffled around the stack of papers in their hands, seemingly searching for something.
Tapping them back into place, the speaker continued. "In the written report I have here, and we have sent to you, there are listings of things that question the current laws and theories of the universe and physics, as well as the current laws and theories of magic we have now. For a reason that we cannot identify yet, the scientists at Ground Zero have detected a slight Mana leak, from the, now monikered by the Prime Minister, Other World to ours. We don't exactly know what is causing this Mana leakage, but we are trying to figure it out."
Hundreds of lights flicker on within the hall, each country wanting to ask questions.
"Australia, go ahead."
"If I may ask, what exactly are we trying to do within the Gate? Or, rather, what is the plan now, since sentient life was discovered? We've already made contact, so realistically, we can't go back."
The speaker cleared their throat, shuffling the papers once more.
"To be quite frank, we have no plan yet, except to establish good relations with the locals. In fact, a week ago, in a town in the Die Shöne Kingdom, the retired Rabbit Hero Miruko and the Creation Her, titled "War Maiden," subjugated a legendary dragon named, "Dracul, Elder Dragon of Fire." By the locals, they are being called Dragon Slayers, and have immediately been granted S-Rank in the Adventurer's Guild."
All the lights in the hall suddenly switched on, the speaker choosing the country France to ask their question.
"You mentioned something about an Adventurer's Guild. While I have a… rough idea of what it might be, please explain it to us."
"Excuse me for one moment." The speaker shuffled more papers around, then switched to a different file all together. Finally finding the right documents, she stacked the papers back into a neat pile, and took a small sip of water. "The report about this "Guild" says that: it is a place where people who specialize in hunting monsters can join, where they can sell any materials they collect for their form of currency. The Guild also has a request board, where adventurers who have joined the Guild can accept quests, which vary from herb gathering, ranked at the lowest to mid-tier classes "E to C," subjugation of monsters, D to S class, and emergency, which is all classes. When an adventurer finishes a quest, a proof of completion is required to mark it as complete. When verified, the adventurer claims their reward, which is their coin-type currency.
"There is a catch, however. If the adventurer does not return within the given timeframe to complete the quest, they will be marked as KIA, and the quest paper will be posted on the board. The Guild Master, who runs the Guild branch, will place a marking, saying that someone has already failed this. After a certain amount of marks, the quest is moved up a rank in quest difficulty, which results in fewer chances of quest acceptance."
The speaker takes another sip of water before continuing, now explaining the ranking system for adventurers.
"Now, with the adventurers themselves. When first registering, unless there are extenuating circumstances, like the Elder Dragon incident, every new member will be placed at the rank of E, which is the lowest rank. Coincidentally, their way of ranking is similar to our Hero ranking, going from E, the lowest, to S, the highest. As of two years ago, they did not have any National ranked Heroes, as the latest one, named "The Great Sage," has passed."
Germany's light turns on with a slight ping. The woman looks up, slightly disturbed by the sound.
"Yes, Germany?"
Unmuting, the German representative asks their question. "Regarding their… ranks, do they have a set amount of S-Ranks, or could there, in theory, be an infinite amount?"
"I cannot answer that, as there is not any information about the absolute limits in the ranks."
"One more, if I may?"
The spokesperson nods, signifying their allowance.
"About their currency, you said they use coins. Do we know what kind of metals are used?"
More papers were shuffled, and the person immediately found the correct file. "For that, yes, we do.
"The metals that they use are as follows: Copper, iron, silver, gold, and platinum for the metals we have here on Earth. In their world, however, they have three more, which the world labeled as fantasy metals, which were called as such because they are only in our recent reincarnation-slash-fantasy type manga popularity explosion. They are called Mithril, Orichalcum, and Adamantite. We have requested that they bring back a sample of each fantasy metal so that we may look at their compositions."
Slight murmurs ran throughout the countries as they heard about new metals. Each of the world powers, like China, Russia, and the U.S. wanted it in their hands, and were now envious of Japan. If they had gotten the Gate, they could have started research on said metals.
"We know the entire system, and now have rough estimates on how much each coin could translate to in this world's money. It goes as follows.
"One small copper coin translates to one hundred yen. One medium copper coin is worth five small copper coins, which equals five hundred yen. One large copper coin equals ten small, or two medium copper coins, and translates to one thousand yen. This goes on, which means that ten large copper coins equals one small silver coin. This process repeats up until the King's Platinum Coin, which is worth one hundred platinum coins. If we do the math, and go by the system, one King's Platinum coin equals one hundred billion yen."
Exclamations of surprise sounded from all the countries, turning into heated discussions between one another. Of course, the spokesperson understood the commotion, as she read this beforehand. Her reaction was almost the same. When she read further into the report, however, her body gave out, almost fainting from the amount of zeroes she saw.
"Please, calm down for now. We haven't gotten to the… higher value coins."
Over the course of a few minutes, the commotion slowly died down, representatives still talking in hushed voices, almost the same as a whisper. All the countries finally settled down, staring in anticipation at the person, urging them to continue.
"Everybody, I suggest that you sit, if you are standing.
"The Mithril coins are considered the most common amongst the fantasy metal-type coins, but one of the most valuable coins in the world. Since they are rare, they are valued at twelve Kings Platinum coins, which equates to one-point-two trillion yen."
More sounds of pure surprise and nervousness echoed throughout the hall, but calming down fairly quickly compared to the first outburst. In a matter of seconds, every person was sitting still, not uttering a sound.
"Next is the Orichalcum, or otherwise known as the Divine Metal, or Gods Gold, it is the second most rare coin, which is worth two hundred Kings coins. So that means one Orichalcum coin equals twenty trillion yen."
Sighs of collective defeat sounded as representatives around the world sank into their chairs, their body already weak. To think that the Other World had coins that are worth that much… it was unthinkable, and yet here they were, listening to the raw, hard truth that yes, coins worth more than a small country were there.
"One last one before we conclude this meeting for today."
No one sat up, but still prepared for the most amount of money a coin could cost in the Other World.
"The last one is the Adamantite coin. It is the rarest, with only three known coins to ever be minted. Each one is worth two thousand kings coins. Or two quadrillion yen..."
The spokesperson had an inkling that a few people fainted where they were, as their eyes glossed over, and sat unmoving. Only one country still seemed to be conscious, repeatedly tapping their fingers against their cheek.
A few seconds later, that country's question light flickered on.
"Yes, North Korea?"
"... Do we know the identities of the specific person who owns the Adamantite coins?"
Opening the file, the person skimmed through the papers, briefly stopping to read parts of the report.
"We know only one person who has two coins. The location of the third and final coin is unknown, as the last owner of it was the Great Sage, who, as I mentioned earlier, passed of old age. The other person is… I apologise if I mispronounce this, Vanessa die Shöne, soon-to-be queen of the Die Shöne Kingdom and owner of two coins. Her net worth, roughly estimated and subject to change, is around four quadrillion, twenty billion, and three hundred ninety-four million yen." The person's eye slightly twitched at the number, as they hadn't read that far into the file.
Even the North Korean representative was taken aback, shouting out "Four…!" before proceeding to rest his head in his hands, ruffling his neat and combed hair.
America, who had just recovered from the shock, decided to interject their point into the conversation. "Even if the richest people in the world come together, they could only scrape the surface of the astronomical amount she has reached… is that number including her kingdom and status?"
"I believe only the status was included. I don't think the prices of her assets, like her jewelry or treasury were taken into account."
Russia added their own question into the mix, throwing off the speaker.
"If suddenly needed, do we have the authority to send military forces into the Gate? Or do you have a plan in action?"
"... Legally, I cannot tell you myself. Prime Minister, if you will."
The newly elected Prime Minister stepped up to the podium, hundreds of eyes seemingly glaring at her. Clearing her throat, she began to speak. "As of right now, the National Diet has started to enact and enforce a new policy, stating that, unless in times of true need and emergency, military intervention is prohibited. We are hoping that your countries will adopt this new policy, in hopes that we do not give any misconstrued feelings of aggression."
China spoke up, asking, "What happens if there is a need to send a military force?"
"At that point, we will mobilize the JSDF and set up a temporary headquarters. With the data of the surrounding land sent to us, we have a rough draft for the headquarters design. The image will be sent to you immediately. As a warning, do not let any person see this, besides the leaders of your country. This is need-to-know, plus classified information that we cannot let leak into the public."
The design of the base was complex, with rings upon rings of barracks, armoured vehicle parking bays, and a multitude of buildings lined the inner cordon. The base's outer shape was that of a nine-pointed star, with watch towers in each point. The watch towers had a three-hundred and sixty degree view, with mounts for snipers and machine guns in each window. In the center of the base is the Gate, surrounded by walls of concrete and a massive sliding metal door, powered by hydraulics.
In the grassy fields next to the base was an airfield, with twenty hangars lining the perimeter of the runway. The runway itself was long, being 5,500 meters in length, and two hundred meters long.
In the diagrams, the airfield held around twenty five attack helicopters, the numbers being twenty Bell AH-1S Cobras, and ten Boeing AH-64 Apaches. They also had twelve Kawasaki OH-1, and five OH-6D scout helicopters. In addition, twenty CH-47 Chinooks are to be stationed there. Five Sikorsky UH-60 Search-and-Rescue/Utility helicopters were to be armed and ready at all times.
Three squadrons of F-35a Lightning II, and one squadron of Mitsubishi F-2 multirole fighter craft, along with one squadron of F-15 Eagle air superiority fighters are stationed inside smaller hangars in the airfield.
In the three large hangars, three Kawasaki C-2 and two C-1 transport planes are shown, along with one E-2 Hawkeye AEW&C craft. Radar dishes are set up on top of the control tower, which is located next to the hangar and aircraft personnel locker rooms.
Outlining the airfield is a metal fence, rectangularly shaped, with four watchtowers, one on each corner. The tower design is the same as the headquarters base, titled "Other-World Military Installation," or O.W.M.I., for short.
The entire base is powered by solar and wind energy. In the details, there are plans to build an underground nuclear power plant, which would replace the solar panels and windmills. It is estimated that it would take about one whole year to complete.
Some of the representatives from smaller countries were acting nervous, which is a given. These plans are a ginormous task, almost impossible to complete within a year for their militaries. Some of the larger countries, like France and Germany, were surprised. "Are you sure this is only a rough draft? This seems… almost complete."
"I can say with confidence that, yes, it is only a rough draft. We haven't finished altering the designs of multiple buildings, like barracks and hangars, and haven't finalized the amount of troops and armoured vehicles we will be sending in. Also, there have been no signs of any hostility towards our Hero and Shadow forces. So far, the Shadows nestled in the Hero's shadows have not had to come out at any point in time except for Saphira, the azure dragon you saw in the video earlier today."
The United Kingdom asked their first question, finally seizing their chance to join. "How will the base be operated? Will it be by Japanese only, with delegates from different countries lodging there? Or is it mixed command, with all allied countries having equal power in directing forces?"
The Prime Minister takes a small sip of water from her given cup, slowly and carefully answering the question. "So far, it has been undecided. Since it would mainly be Japan forces, we are leaning towards the Japanese only, with delegates option, but it may change. I personally am leaning towards the one I have just stated."
Silent nods of agreement and murmurs of hesitant acceptance ripple throughout the auditorium. They all can agree that, while the Japanese troops are the only force on the field, the Japanese retain full control. But they are also uncertain. Uncertain because of the lack of decision in Japan. They have no doubts that the Japanese can succeed in whatever they do, as they have done it before, but they can't help but to have doubts on this. The potential enemy is another world with elemental magic. The scope of said magic is unknown, and caution against this must be observed.
"Please hold any further questions, as we have reached the time limit of this meeting. I hope we all can agree that researching the Other World, and how a Gate connecting the worlds appeared is less important than forming friendly relations with any country willing to ally with us."
Screens flashed to black as the country representatives left the meeting, urgent to report the findings within the Gate.
The Prime Minister slowly banged her head on the podium, the effects of mental exhaustion finally reaching her, making her head slightly pound. She just stood there for around ten minutes before stumbling back to the green room lying down on the provided couch.
The woman sighed, closing her eyes. "Why did that Gate have to appear?"
She slowly drifted off into sleep. As the tension left her body, the muscles in her limbs loosened, letting her arms fall freely to her sides. And as she fell asleep, she managed just barely a whisper, which no one heard. "Come back, Izuku..."
An inky-darkness pulled itself from the woman's shadow, forming the figure of a higher-ranked angel cleric, a Celestial Healer.
"Goodnight, Lady Nejire. And I hope my Liege is at peace, wherever he is in the plains of existence."
