Prompt 1: Nico gets jealous and trys to get anubius really mad and succeed. So they get into an argument and it resolves when Nico says he love Anubuis and was jealous and scared he could leave him.

Prompt 2: Anubis and Nico get into their first big fight as a couple, maybe some stuff is said that they obviously don't mean but gets said in the moment, and the gods (Hades/Osiris/etc.) freak out and overreact thinking one hurt the other and so on.

Nico was gritting his teeth as he watched his boyfriend interact with the girls from the Aphrodite Cabin.

They'd gathered their friends for a get-together during the summer solstice in Camp Half-Blood. Everything had been going great until they'd sat down to eat, and a daughter of Aphrodite had plopped down next to Anubis, leaving Nico to sit at another table (the Egyptian god had looked at him apologetically).

At first it had been kinda nice to see Anubis being friendly with his part of the world, but then the girl started getting handsy with his boyfriend, who in turn seemed totally oblivious to her advances. The worst thing was that they'd agreed on keeping their relationship secret, so Nico couldn't just walk over there and dislocate her hand for touching what was his.

He had noticed his possessiveness of the god a while ago, and it was affecting him a lot at times.

The girl was flipping her hair over her shoulder and laughing as she touched Anubis' arm unnecessarily. The god had the gall to keep smiling and not shrug off the fiendish touch.

The daughters of Aphrodite had their own charm, but Nico wasn't sure if it affected gods as much.

Nico's leg had started bouncing beneath the table, his fists nearly tearing a hole in his pant-leg. Maybe he could make the girl sink a foot into the soil without anyone noticing. His fingers itched to do something to her, and he bit the inside of his cheek to keep his instincts in check.

A hand on his knee made him snap his attention to Will, seated next to him. The son of Apollo was looking at him, an eyebrow raised. "Hey, bud. You okay?"

Nico glanced back at Anubis and the girl.

Will nodded, "Ah, I see." Being one of the few people who knew about their relationship, he got the situation immediately. "I bet you're regretting the secret part of your relationship, right about now."

"Shut up," Nico grumbled. His leg started bouncing again as he weighed the possibilities. He could just go over there and pull them apart, but that would bring up questions. He could also sit between them to really make a statement, or he could put some laxatives in the girl's drink. Shaking his head, he was suddenly struck with an idea.

"Hey, Will?" he started, turning to his friend. "You wanna help me out here?"

Will raised his other eyebrow, "Will I like where this is going?"

Nico grinned, "Probably not."

Will shook his head in defeat, "As long as this doesn't bite me in the ass…"

The son of Hades grinned wider before leaning over to whisper some instructions into the blond's ear. Will rolled his eyes, but compiled by laying his arm across Nico's shoulders, the son of Hades leaning into him.

Nico placed a hand on Will's knee as he spoke low, "I just wanna make him feel what I feel when girls flirt with him." He smiled as he spoke, knowing that Anubis couldn't hear what they were saying.

Will chuckled drily, "Whatever you say, bro. Just don't throw me under the bus."

Nico chances a glance at Anubis, smiling slightly to himself at the god's expression. His eyes were dark as his gaze was burning into the arm around Nico's shoulders. Served him right, acting the way he did with the Aphrodite chick. The son of Hades turned to Will again, pretending to laugh at something he said.

"Is he still looking?" Nico asked, close to the blond's ear.

Will snickered, a bit strained, "Oh, he's watching, alright. I might fear for my life, had I not been on somewhat friendly terms." He laughed drily, "I don't think we'll be on friendly terms after this with that glare he's sending me."

Nico felt a sense of justice in that. At least Anubis knew how he felt now. He didn't like jealousy, but felt justified in his actions.

He was leaning in to say something, when Will tensed.

"Oh, Hades," the son of Apollo muttered, pulling his arm away from Nico's shoulder as he stared forward.

Nico frowned and followed his gaze. Anubis was walking towards them, a dark look on his face. The son of Hades was about to smirk and give a snide comment, but Anubis had already grabbed Will by his shirt and started to drag him away from the dining pavilion.

Will looked anything but thrilled at the manhandling, shooting an angry look at Nico.

The son of Hades quickly got up to follow them, feeling the curious stares from the audience at his back. He was glad the god had decided not to make a scene in front of everyone.

Anubis pulled Will to the edge of the woods, out of earshot from their peers. He all but shoved the blond into a tree, his hand still twisted in his shirt.

"What do you think you're doing?" he growled, his jackal tendencies shining through his usually calm demeanor. Nico felt a tiny twinge in his gut at the noise. He liked the animalistic side of his boyfriend.

Will held his hands up in surrender, "Woah! He's the one who asked me to do it!"

Anubis frowned and turned to Nico, hand still gripping the blond's collar, "What is he talking about, Nico?"

His tone irritated Nico. He should know what this really was about. Crossing his arms, he scowled, "Yeah. Now you know how I feel."

The god looked confused, "What?" His grip was loosening on the son of Apollo.

Nico rolled his eyes. How dense could you get? "As if you didn't have that girl all over you."

Anubis looked even more confused, fully letting go of Will, who in turn slipped away and walked off. The god didn't seem to notice him leaving.

"What girl?" he asked, a puzzled look in his eyes.

Nico scoffed, flinging his hands in the air, "The girl at dinner, who was all but sitting in your lap!" He noticed that his voice was raised, but couldn't find it in himself to care.

Anubis frowned before it seemed to dawn on him, "She was being friendly, Nico."

The demigod glared, "Yeah, right. She was hitting on you, and you just let her touch you all over."

Anubis' gaze darkened, "So you thought it was okay to flirt with other people even though you're in a relationship with me?"

Nico felt his teeth grit together in irritation. Why couldn't Anubis just see what he was doing? "I wasn't flirting with him! I just wanted you to react!" He felt his hands fist into his shirt as his anger grew. He could feel the soil beneath his feet start to vibrate in time with his heartbeat. Was it really that fast?

"React?!" Anubis asked, disbelief clear in his tone. "Of course I would react when my boyfriend, who I thought was devoted to me, asks other people to touch him suggestively!"

Nico glared, "You're one to talk! You just let people touch you inappropriately!" He sneered, "You probably liked it too. You actually like girls, unlike me. You probably don't even like me…" The son of Hades cursed inwardly, he hadn't meant to say that last part.

"Well, you're not giving me much reason to like you right now," Anubis snapped.

Nico felt his heart turn cold, "Well, now I know how you really feel." He sent a bitter smile at the god, noticing his shocked expression. Nico wasn't sure whose words he was shocked by.

He sighed, flinging his hands up in the air in defeat, "I knew this was a mistake." Anubis' eyes looked so broken at that, that Nico almost walked over to him.

"Nico-" the god started, walking towards him.

Nico raised a hand to halt the other, stopping the minerals in his bones from moving, "Just- don't. I wouldn't expect you to understand a mortal's feelings."

Without saying anything more, he slipped into the shadows. He stepped out from the shadows in his room in Hades' palace, curling up on the floor to sob.

Nico was miserable.

Three days had passed since his fight with Anubis, and he was slowly starting to realise how right he'd been about his fears. Of course Anubis, a flipping god, wouldn't want to be with him. How had he ever thought that he would be good enough for him?

He barely ate, and slept all but eight hours in the last three days. He could feel the worried gaze of Hades as they sat down to dine together. His father was overreacting like always.

"You sure that I can't just put him on the Fields of Punishment for a hundred years?" the god of the Underworld spoke up from the other side of the table.

Nico resisted the urge to roll his eyes, "For the fifteenth time! Yeah! I'm sure!"

Hades raised his hands in mock defeat, "Okay. I'm just watching out for you, son."

Nico sighed, "I know, dad. I just- I don't wanna deal with it right now."

"Maybe I can send a nice present in the mail to Osiris, to let him know what'll happen if his adopted son shows his face around me," Hades muttered under his breath.

Nico glared at him half-heartedly. He actually really liked his relationship with Hades now. He felt safe in the palace now, that being the reason he was seeking refuge there. Anubis wasn't welcome here if Hades didn't allow it, and Nico had a feeling he wouldn't be welcome in a while.

Nico fiddled around with his food for a second before giving up. He didn't feel like eating anyway.

He excused himself from the table and retreated back to his room, feeling Hades' stare as he stalked away.

Once in his room, he flopped down on the bed. He twisted the skull ring on his finger, a bad habit he had when he was thinking. The skin beneath the ring was chafed smooth over the years he'd had it.

He flung an arm over his eyes, huffing a breath. This sucked. Just. Sucked.

A noise from the door made him start, his hand gripping the hilt of his sword out of habit. The door swung open and a person was all but tossed inside, before the door closed again.

What just happened?

The person on the floor groaned out a curse, "That bloody she-devil."

Nico's blood froze in his veins at the voice. He'd recognise that voice anywhere.

"Tough luck, dog-breath!" A female voice said, muffled by the door.

Anubis grumbled something in a language Nico couldn't understand. He lifted himself gingerly from the floor, his eyes locking with the demigod's. His eyes softened immediately.

"Hey," the god said softly.

Nico made a strangled sound in the back of his throat, his voice not working for some reason. What in Hades was Anubis doing here?

The god moved towards him slowly, causing Nico to scamper backwards on the bed.

"Woah, hey," Anubis started. "What's wrong?"

Nico raised an eyebrow, "Don't you remember what happened like three days ago?"

The god's shoulders sank. Nico felt his eyes bore into him, taking in his appearance.

He reached a hand forwards to brush his fingers down Nico's cheek. "Haven't you been sleeping?" he asked, worry in his eyes.

The demigod let himself enjoy the feeling of the other's hand for a second before he pulled away. "Why're you here?"

Anubis looked a bit hurt, "Well, I didn't really like how our last encounter ended."

Nico shrugged, "Well, you made it pretty clear where our relationship was headed, so I'm glad we ended it before it got too serious." He looked down into his lap, not wanting to see the god's eyes.

Anubis pulled his hand back as if he'd burnt it, "Ended?"

Nico chanced a look at the other, his reply stuck in his throat. The god looked so broken, unshed tears in his eyes.

"You want to end it?"

Nico bit his lip, hard, tasting the copper tang. Of course he didn't want to end it, but what choice did he have. Their lives were incompatible.

"I thought that after five thousand years, I'd finally found someone who actually loves me like I love them," the god muttered, the last syllables swallowed by half a sob.

Nico looked up. Had he heard correctly? "What?"

The god didn't reply.

Nico reached over to grab his hand, "What did you say?"

Anubis met his eyes, his tears already having spilled down his cheeks, "I love you, Nico."

The demigod's chest tightened painfully. He pulled the god in, brushing their lips together softly before diving in. He could feel the dampness from the other's tears as he cradled his cheek.

Anubis made a surprised noise against his lips before melting into him. Nico's hand trailed up into the god's hair, angling his head to slot their lips tighter together. He savoured the moment before pulling away to rest his forehead against Anubis'

"Okay. Um-" he started. Hades, he hated talking about his feelings sometimes. "I don't want to lose you. And that's- that's why I did what I did then. I just feel like you're way out of my league. I mean, you're a god, for Hades' sake." Crap, he was rambling now.

He glanced into the eyes of the god, feeling a blush rise on his cheeks at the fond look he was given.

"Gods, this is so uncomfortable to talk about," Nico hid his face in his (still) boyfriend's neck. "I love you, too."

The son of Hades squeaked as the other's arms gripped him and flung them both on the bed. He felt the god press small kisses to his face, his hair tickling the sides of his face.

"I've been waiting five thousand years for this, y'know," Anubis whispered into his ear, causing a shiver to run down his spine.

"Oh, yeah?" Nico started, tracing the back of the god's neck. "Do I get to give you a reward for waiting so long?"

Anubis shuddered visibly, "Yes, please."
