Chapter 2

Facing the Truth

In this fine morning we find ourselves again in the quant town known as Pallet this time it's in the home of Delia Ketchum. She had been pacing back and forth for the past hour, worried for her son who disappeared without a trace last night. Delia called the police to do a search which is being conducted as she's pacing.

Professor Oak had just arrived at the Ketchum residence to comfort and to ease Delia any way he could. Delia was the first friend of Oak's son, who sadly passed away during his grandson's birth.

"Delia, dear it will be alright. Ash will be alright." He put on a genuine smile saying this. It helped but only a little as Delia replied.

"I hope you're right Samuel, I hope you're right."

{Meanwhile in the forest's just outside of Pallet}

(A/N: Pokéspeech translated from this point on.)

"Augh, my head's killing me." Ash sat up, slowly as to not worsen the already skull cracking headache he's experiencing.

"Okay this seems vaguely familiar." He said regaining his footing. He was wobbly on the height, and having such huge -err legs, paws, whatever they're called they're big.

"Is this the forest outside of Pallet Town, if so Score!" He was happy beyond words, he was a short walk to his home. But that moment didn't last long as he looked at himself once again.

"*Sigh* How am I supposed to explain, This!" He momentarily sighed then squeaked in frustration as to his current circumstances. He was after all a Pokémon now.

"Hey is that a Mew." A new voice said out of nowhere, spooking Ash half to death.

Ash turned around to see a Pikachu, which are small rodent-like Pokémon with mostly yellow fur, Red sacs on it's cheeks and a lightning bolt shaped tail. The boy sighed in relief, before realising what he just did and squealed in glee. He could understand Pokémon.

He understood himself sure, But Ash thought he was just saying those things in his head. Like He did once accidentally telling his mother that he broke a plate a week ago.

The Pikachu was now very confused, a Mew was standing in front of him smiling and squealing. He knew Mew were playful but this was excessive, even for a Mew.

"Uhm, hey, hello! Can you hear he?" Pikachu asked the Mew, who snapped out of whatever trance he was in and rushed over to him, well the Mew floated but the Mew didn't seem to notice.

"Hello Pikachu! my name's Ash, Ash Ketchumof Pallet Town." Ash introduced himself to the Pikachu, who sweat-dropped at the Mew's enthusiasm.

"Wait! Did you say you were from Pallet Town? How does that make any sense, I-I've never seen you before, and I always remember a face." Pikachu questioned the Mew, who nervously retold his story.

"So you're telling me that you were once a human, but some other humans took you and turned you into a Mew. Is that correct?" Pikachu received a nod as an answer. "And you're not lying."

"No, I'm not." Ash replied.

"Alright! I just had the craziest morning ever. And it seems you can't go home, right?" Pikachu received a nod. "Then we should go rest in my burrow, it's not the best but not the worst either."

"That sounds good, Oh! Uhm Pikachu. Do you have a name, I don't want to have to keep referring to you by your species." Ash asked.

"No, I don't have a name. Just call me Pikachu." Pikachu got another nod.

{Time Skip and Scene Change: Just outside Pikachu's Burrow}

Ash saw a simple leaf holding some berries, they were primarily Oran and Pecha Berries but some were the rarer Sitrus and Lum Berries. Ash instinctively floated to the pile, somehow not noticing his feet were off the ground. He grabbed a Sitrus Berry and munched down on it as if it were his first meal in 3 days, even though it's only been a day.

Pikachu sweat-dropped at the boy's apparent love for eating, he hoped he wasn't going to run out of Berries for himself after Ash is done with them.

After Ash was done with eating the berries, which is now a quarter of it's orginal size. He decided he'd help with gathering more for dinner and maybe help him get used to his new body and figure out how to float, since Pikachu mentioned it to him earlier. And probably also figure out what moves he can learn besides teleport and psychic.

{TimeSkip: 5 Hours Later.}

Ash had figured out how to float, it was simple really just have the intention of floating and you'll float. But Psychic is where he ran into some hurdles, it was difficult to do as it wasn't based on instinct instead it was on both emotion and focus. If you want to throw an object hard then flood your mind with anger and the attack will be more powerful, it's the same if you want to cushion or hold an object except it's with just pure focus. Of course after Ash had learned it he started to train to instinctually do it without so much as a thought, which took until the sun went down but it was worth it.

And now Ash is trying to have Pikachu teach him Thunderbolt, after he saw Pikachu hit a Spearow with the attack.

"Come on please, please Pikachu it's such a cool move." Ash pleaded, instinctively using the move Baby-Doll Eyes. And it worked.

"Alright fine, but it's a little tricky to explain and dangerous if rushed so listen carefully, Alright?" Pikachu finally caved and the Mew was doing backflips in the air practically radiating excitement.

"Thanks Pikachu... And I'll be careful."

"Alright then the first thing you have to do is..." Pikachu started to explain. The rest is inaudible to the reader.

{Time Skip: 3 Hours Later}

Things went by faster than both mons expected. Ash had figured out how to use Thunderbolt in the first hour or so of training the other 2 hours was spent mastering the move and target practice to increase accuracy and lessen charge time.

After the intense training session both Pokémon went straight to bed, as both were exhausted from everything that happened today and just wanted to sleep all the exhaustion away.

As Ash went to sleep he had a very weird dream. It was just an inky black that stretched for miles without end and when Ash saw a light coming from behind him he instantly started to float over, as he was still a Mew, even in the dream.

When he reached the source of the light he was surprised to see another Mew, this one was a bit bigger than ash by just an inch and seemed wiser by comparison.

"Hello there young one i am Mew and I'm here to help you with your current situation." The other Mew spoke, as the light dimmed to not constantly blind Ash.

"So you're here to teach me about, this" Ash said pointing to himself.

Mew giggle a little and nodded. "Why yes I'm here to teach you how to transform, and how to use every move known by man and Pokémon. Though it seems you've already figured out the latter."

"Huh what's 'latter' is that a type of move or.." This statement sent Mew into agigglingfit.

"Oh Arceus, humans are so funny. But no 'latter' just means the second option." Mew said calming herself down.

"Okay I get it now. But I have to ask, can I still turn back into a human." Ash asked the important question.

"I believe you still can, though I'm not to sure. I mean I've never turned into one as I don't have their DNA, but you do so... maybe" Mew answered with a shrug at the end.

"At least that gives me some hope of becoming a Pokémon Master." Ash said, releasing a breathe he didn't know he was holding and smiled at Mew.

Mew smiled back, Ash just radiated positivity wherever he went and even in this scenario he still tries sees the best of the situation.

"Let the crash course of Transform, Begin!" Mew announced pointing to the sky.
