Chapter 4
A New Friend Appears
A week had passed since Ash returned and revealed he was now a Pokémon. He's been doing great so far making progress with Pikachu's move set replacing Thunder Shock with the more powerful Thunderbolt. He's also learning new moves himself such as Night Slash, Protect and Psyshock.
But right now Ash is currently watching the Indigo League finals with Pikachu on his lap, who's also intently watching the display of raw power and strategy that is being broadcasted all over the region.
"And Gengar goes down to Onix what a turnaround! Will Tera be able to recover from this?" The announcer said through the T.V.
"So Ash who do you think will win?" The electric mouse asked the transformed Mew.
"I think it will be Derek. He's got a numbers advantage and maybe he has a strong Pokémon he's saving as a last resort." Ash answered.
Just then Delia entered Ash's room.
"Ash it's almost 11pm, you still have to get to the lab early for your starter and Pokédex." Delia said sternly.
Ash quickly recovered from his shock and answered, "Okay Mom. I'll go to bed."
Ash turned back into a Mew and Delia gave a goodnight kiss to her now very cute son. Pikachu climbed onto the bed as this was happening, covering himself in the sheets and went to bed.
After their goodnight kiss Ash floated back onto the bed and did the same thing Pikachu had done then drifted off to sleep.
{Scene Change: Ash's Dream}
Ash appeared in his dreamscape, which normally indicates a visit from Mew. Said Legendary appeared shortly after
"Hello Mew! What's the reason for your visit?" Ash greeted and asked Mew.
"I'm just here to say hello as tomorrow you'll be starting your journey. And I'm also here to inform that Ho-Oh has taken interest in you and wants you to be the Rainbow Hero." Mew explained and Ash was pulling up a blank at the mention of Rainbow hero, as he had no idea what it is.
"What's a Rainbow Hero and why has Miss Ho-Oh taken interest in me?" Ash asked.
"Well a Rainbow Hero is normally a human that has a pure heart and kind soul, which you check all the boxes for. And as for why Ho-Oh has chosen you she just heard your story and was surprised at your behavior towards the new powers. Everyone kinda expected you to turn evil and destroy the world, but you didn't, you just used them to get a closer bond with Pokémon and for convenience."
"Why would someone think a 9 year old kid would have plans to destroy the world?"
"If I'm being honest, I'm not sure why everyone thought that."
... ... ...
"Okay so... what should we do now? I've done everything I came here to do and there's still a lot of time to kill." Mew said trying to change the subject.
"Maybe you could teach me a move or teach me about Aura." Ash replied m.
"Where did you hear about Aura, Ash?"
"I read it in a book at the Professor's."
"Hmm,Maybe..." Mew paused for a moment to think, "you know what, yes let's do it, I'll teach you Aura. Just the basics though."
"I'm guessing it's so that I don't expose myself."
"Correct, it would be too suspicious that a kid in Pallet Town suddenly became an Aura Master."
And so the two Mew started the training session. It was a painstakingly slow process of meditation and no results showing at all. But eventually Ash managed a soft glow in his out of dream body.
{Then like Dialga shifting time it was now morning.}
Ash had now just woken up, with Pikachu getting up shortly after Ash. The two made their way to the bathroom, with Ash brushing his teeth and Pikachu cleaning up his fur on the sink.
When they finally made it downstairs they smelled a feast, it made both of their mouths water at the smell alone and as they got closer the more the two were intoxicated by the food. Ash sat down on the dining table, Pikachu just hopped up the table bowl in hand. Delia then sat down and began to dig in to the feast, Ash and Pikachu did the same.
After their amazing breakfast Ash and Pikachu went to the lab.
"Pikachu are you excited as I am about this? We're about to start our journey, meet new friends, battle strong trainers and maybe win the League." Ash asked the electric mouse currently on his shoulder.
"Of course I'm excited seeing new places is always fun." Pikachu replied.
"Then why haven't you done it before?"
"I had to stay in one place 'cause you know food, water and shelter."
"Oh yeah, right." Ash replied.
{Time Skip: Professor Oak's Lab}
After a short walk Ash and Pikachu finally arrived at the lab. Ash saw a car in front of the gate and he also saw Gary coming out of the lab with a Squirtle by his side.
"Oh Ashy-Boy you're early. I expected you to sleep in today from overexcitement." Gary teased and Ash's eyes narrowed to a glare. Gary just laughed and said his goodbyes then drove off to Viridian City.
"Oh Ash you've arrived. Come on let's get your trainer profile and Pokédex setup." Professor Oak said walking out of the gate to see his grandson off.
"Hi Professor" both Ash and Pikachu greeted.
Then the two humans and Pokémon went inside. Pikachu went over to the couch and waited for Ash to finish filling out his info into the Professor's computer.
After 2 minutes of typing and beeps the two humans finished. Pikachu went over and watched the Professor give a Pokédex and 7 Poké Balls.
"Professor why did you give me seven Poké Balls?" Ash asked.
"Well you see Ash I asked Mr. Goodshow about this and he said that the trainer if he or she is a Pokémon will be part of the battle team and count as one of the six Pokémon." Professor Oak explained.
"So I count as one of my Pokémon?" Ash asked tilting his head to the side.
"Yes, and so I increased your limit to 8." The Professor answered.
"But that doesn't seem all that fair." Ash said, sporting a confused look on his face.
"A Professor can increase a trainers limit if they prove themselves responsible enough to handle that many Pokémon. And you are qualified enough to handle eight." Ash had an understanding look at the point Professor Oak brought up. "Now that that's settled let's go meet Eevee." At that the Professor walked up the stairs into the room where he stores the Poké Balls of the ranch Pokémon. He opened a cabinet and grabbed a Safari Ball then he gave it to Ash. Ash opened the Safari Ball and out popped an Eevee, it immediately went up to Ash and rubbed it's cheek against Ash's leg.
"Hello there Eevee. My name is Ash, I'm your new Trainer." Ash said to the Evolution Pokémon.
"Does that mean we can be friends?" Eevee asked Ash.
"Yes, we can be friends Eevee." At this Eevee yipped in joy, bouncing around the room saying "new friends" over and over until Ash and the Professor stopped them.
"Wait I just realizedyou can understand me." Eevee said finally catching on.
"Yepit's only Ash though the Professor can't understand you." Pikachu explained to the newbie of the team, even thought they're the only members.
"That's so cool!" Eevee yipped excitedly once again, this time they calmed down faster than last time.
"Okay Eevee, I'd like to ask if you have a name." Ash asked the Evolution Pokémon.
"I have a name, it's Elaine." Eevee answered.
"Sounds like a human name." Pikachu commented.
"My parents were raised by Humans so they named me like one. At least that's whatthey tell me." The now identified Elaine explained.
While the Pokémon were talking Ash and Professor Oak were having a small conversation with each other.
"So Ash what are your plans for the Gyms, Viridian mainly uses Ground Types. And the second nearest Gym, which is in Pewter city uses Rock Types." The Professor questioned Ash.
"Maybe I could teach Iron Tail or Grass Knot, since Pikachu can learn both and Eevee can learn Double Kick for Pewter." Ash answered.
"Wow Ash that was very thorough of you. But I suggest getting more Pokémon just in case." Professor Oak commented.
"Sure Professor." Ash replied.
Ash and Professor Oak finished their little conversation/quiz at the same time Elaine stopped asking Pikachu questions about her new trainer. Ash, Eevee and Pikachu said their goodbyes to the Professor, of course all the Professor could hear from the two Pokémon was "Pika-Pi" and "Eevee-vee". Pikachu perched himself onto Ash's right shoulder and Eevee decided to just walk beside Ash. The trio then walked all the way back to Ash's house to say goodbye to Delia and to do the capture there.
{Scene Change: Ketchum Residence}
"Mom I'm home" Ash said through the door. Delia walked over and opened it revealing her son with Pikachu on his shoulder and an Eevee by his side.
"Ah, so this is Eevee Huh." Delia asked, getting a nod from Ash.
"Yeah, and her name is Elaine." Ash explained.
"Well hello there Elaine I'm Delia nice to meet you. I'm Ash's mother if you couldn't tell."
"Nice to meet you too." Elaine replied. Ash translated her response.
"So you're finally setting off?" Delia asked.
"Yep, I'll miss you though." Ash replied sadly.
"I'll always be here. And you don't have to worry I always have Samuel to talk to while your gone. Oh and don't forget to call me when you reach Viridian, alright?" Delia said, Ash just nodded. Pikachu got off a while back and decided to show Eevee around Ash's room while the two humans said their goodbyes.
After a heartfelt goodbye, bringing tears to both parties. Ash, Pikachu and Eevee set off for Viridian.

v0rt3x: okay Chapter 4 is done man that took a while. Sorry for the slow update this time around, but I kinda been busy with school so uh... yeah. But anyway reviews are appreciated and thanks for reading.
Ash: You've just been lazy, Hmph.
v0rt3x: come on Ash, I've been busy with homework and going to class. How do you expect me to write if I have to get up early almost every morning, besides weekends.
Ash: *grumbles to himself*
v0rt3x: *sweatdrops* Alright I guess. I would also like to Inform you guys that the 4 move limit rule of the games is changed here. It's now a rule for Gym Battles and the League, it basically means that a Pokémon can learn their entire learn set but has to choose 4 moves to bring in for a Gym Battles or the League. It's so that trainers don't just spam a lot of moves to overwhelm the opponent. Also moves with the same effects like Thunder Shock and Thunderbolt. will replace the weaker counterpart. Well I guess See ya in Chapter 5
