"Don't air all your personal shit when you have guests over!"

She saw that Midoriya flinched as Bakugou yelled at her and Shoto, the boy holding his hands up apologetically. "I'm really sorry about him, but he is kind of right, you should be careful. I already knew, but…"

Fuyumi's eyes widened and she glanced over at her brother for a moment. He had told his friend about what happened? A small smile formed on her face at the idea of Shoto finally trusting someone at UA University enough to open up. Even if it wasn't her that he could go to, she was glad he had someone.

"Yea, and because these two dumbasses suck balls at being discreet, I know as well!"

Fuyumi frowned as Shoto and Midoriya both flinched, turning to Bakugou

"What?! We were in a hallway on the other side of the stadium! To have heard us you must have… gasp! Kachaan! Did you eavesdrop on us?!"

She half-tuned out the two other boys as they devolved into yelling… well, Bakugou was yelling while Midoriya was using the 'I'm not mad, just disappointed' voice that Fuyumi herself had used many times over her career as a teacher.

She giggled at their antics as they continued cleaning before she noticed that Shoto was still. Sneaking a look, she saw him with a small smile on his face as he also watched the two argue.

She hadn't ever seen him smile like that before, she didn't think. Maybe there was some upside to this tragedy of a dinner.

"Midoriya, could I speak with you in private for a moment?"

Izuku jumped as Fuyumi spoke to him while he reached down for his shoes, looking up to see the woman smiling at him. Nodding, he put his shoes back on the ground and followed her back to the kitchen.

"Was there something you neede-"

"Thank you."

Izuku stopped mid-sentence as Fuyumi spoke, and his eyes widened a little bit at how shaky and sad her voice sounded. "You're… welcome? Is this for complimenting your cooking? You deserved all of the praise I gave!"

She laughed, and Izuku could tell from how it sounded that she was crying now. "Heh, thanks for that too, I guess. But no, I meant for Shoto. I've never seen him this… happy before."

He immediately had a lightbulb moment and shook his head wildly. "No, no, you don't need to thank me for helping him. It's what anyone would have done."

"But they didn't. None of us did."

Izuku froze at that, frowning. "What do you mean?"

Fuyumi turned and looked at him, tears on her face. "None of us even tried to help him. Dad took him away to train him for UA, and none of us tried harder than asking a few times to let him play with us. We left him to his fate."

Izuku moved forward on instinct, wrapping his arms around the woman, allowing her face to fall to his shoulder. "Hey, no, that's not fair. You guys were kids, it wasn't your responsibility to help. And during dinner, Shoto told me you used to cook for him and treat the worst of his injuries at night."

He could feel his shoulder getting damp, but he didn't care. His hand patted her back as she sobbed, rubbing small circles

"Everything Shoto has ever told me about you paints you as one of the only people who tried their hardest to help, no matter what. Even if you weren't able to get Shoto away from your father, you were someone he could rely on."

He felt Fuyumi nod slightly, her face still tucked into his shoulder, and he started swaying back and forth slowly, pulling out all the stops his mother had used during his own breakdowns before to help Fuyumi feel better.

After a few minutes of that, he heard a small rustling outside the kitchen doorway and when he looked over to it he saw Shoto staring at them with his eyebrow raised.

Shoto almost opened his mouth but Izuku shook his head slightly, bringing one hand up to his neck and making a 'don't do it' motion. Shoto paused for a moment, before nodding, silently backing away from the doorway.

Fuyumi cried for another minute or two, and Izuku kept her wrapped in a hug the entire time. He knew what it was like to need a hug and to just cry it out sometimes, and he was happy to allow her this opportunity.

She eventually pulled her head off his shoulder, and Izuku opened his arms, letting her out. Only then did his brain catch up to what he was doing, his face becoming red at the feeling of her in his arms.

"I'm sorry for ruining your shirt…"

Izuku shook his head, putting his hand on her shoulder, even as his face got warmer. "It's no trouble at all, seriously. UA has an amazing cleaning service. I think the cleaners use Quirks on them, that's the only way they could ever be so comfy!"

Fuyumi chuckled at that, shaking her head as she put her glasses in her skirt pocket, wiping at her eyes with a handkerchief. "If you say so, Midoriya… actually, may I call you Izuku?"

Izuku's face was fully red now, and he was glad she was still looking at his shoes, but he smiled. "Of course! C-can I call you Fuyumi?"

Fuyumi nodded, before pausing. "Yes, yes of course. And here, please, can you take down my phone number? Shoto doesn't tell me much about the training side of his school life, but I'd like to know if he has any breakthroughs!"

Izuku's face was probably able to be cooked on right now, but he eventually coughed up a response. "Sure!"

Fuyumi put her phone number into his phone while he grabbed a glass of water, trying to calm his nerves down while her attention wasn't on his face. He thought that he succeeded, and Fuyumi didn't comment on it, so he must have.

"Ok, I, uh. Oh, you should probably be going, huh…"

Izuku frowned, but nodded, hearing Endeavours car running just out the front of the house. Actually, he could hear something else too…

BOOM!

"Ah! That was outside! I should go help! I'll talk to you another time, ok?" When Fuyumi nodded, Izuku sprinted outside with his Quirk active. Fuyumi ran out to the front door after him, only to see a villain controlling the paint on the road, with Natsuo in his grasp!

She gasped as the villain ran, her father and the 3 students following using their Quirks. She didn't follow them any further than the front gate of her house and quickly lost sight of them, but she didn't need to see them fight.

She knew they would win, and save Natsuo. She had faith in all of them!

So when her father and the 3 boys brought Natsuo back to the house, looking shaken but unharmed, Fuyumi couldn't help but hug each of the boys in turn, tears running down her face again while her father followed Natsuo back into the house.

Bakugou practically clawed out of her grasp and Shoto tapped his forehead to her shoulder. Midoriya leaned into the hug slightly, and Fuyumi, because of some impulsive, intrusive thoughts, quickly leaned in, pecking him on the cheek, leaving the boy flustered and blushing as she turned and ran back into the house.

"Was that guy on Trigger? He seemed harder to beat than most of the normal villains we fought this week."

"Yes, Shoto, he was."

"Good to know. Now, Midoriya. Should I be getting my wedding speech ready? I'd be honoured to have you as a brother in law."

"Midoriya, what is my son talking about?"

"Nothing, si-"

"Oh, just Fuyumi and Midoriya hugging in the kitchen, and her kissing his cheek after we rescued Natsuo."

"MMMIIDDDOOORRRIIIYYYAAA!"

"What the fuck, Deku?!"

Fuyumi

Good afternoon, Izuku!

Are you free to talk? I know some of the hero students stay at the gym late.

Deku

Hello Fuyumi!

I'm free to talk at the moment, but I am on my way to the gym.

Is everything alright?

Fuyumi

Oh, no, everything is fine! Sorry if I worried you or anything texting out of the blue!

Deku

That's a relief!

Fuyumi

I just wanted to ask you a question!

About Shoto!

That is!

A few questions about Shoto and his training!

Nothing else, haha.

Deku

That's ok!

He's doing really good!

We've been training at your dad's agency really hard, and I think Todoroki and Kachaan have really gotten what Endeavour was trying to teach them!

Oh wait, I should call him Shoto here, you're 'Todoroki' as well!

Fuyumi

That's wonderful news!

And no, your fine to call him Todoroki if that's what you're used to!

Remember I did give you permission to call me Fuyumi.

Deku

Right! Sorry!

I actually have some footage of Shoto he asked me to take so he could see the exact patterns in which his ice forms, if you want to see that?

Fuyumi

Uh, no!

I mean, yes!

But my phone cant

Cant receive videos or photos right now!

Broken by one of my students, you know how it is!

Deku

That's a shame!

It's actually really cool!

Oh, haha! Pun not intended!

I got some interesting notes down from the footage myself, actually.

Fuyumi

Maybe since my phone is broken

You could just come over and show me the videos?

And maybe even your notes as well!

Shoto did say your notes were, and I quote "masterful"

Deku

Would that be OK Your dad…?

No, wait actually

I'm fairly certain he'd be fine with me coming over?

He mentioned that on the way home the other night…

Fuyumi

Really? That's weird

Father doesn't usually let anyone over without a reason.

Deku

Oh!

Right!

He said that I was a 'good influence' on Shoto or something?

Yea that sounds right.

Fuyumi

I have to agree with him there!

How about Friday, after you get out of class?

How long are the videos?

Deku

Friday sounds great!

And well, they're about 20 minutes long each

But there's 6 of them.

Fuyumi

Sweet!

We can use the big TV and have a movie night!

Well, training video night.

Maybe we could watch a movie afterwards, who knows!

Deku

Yea, for sure!

I've just arrived at the Gym, so I gotta go

But I'll see you Friday!

Fuyumi

No problem!

Enjoy your training!

See you Friday!

Fuyumi slammed her face down on her desk as she put her phone face down.

What was she thinking?! Inviting Izuku over for a 'movie night' over text?! She had practically written, "I have a crush on you," into the sky with clouds! God, she had probably embarrassed herself so badly!

Oh god, and now the plans were set she needed to make sure everything was perfect! Natsuo out of the house! Shoto either in his room or out as well! Wait! Maybe she could encourage some of his other friends to take him to the arcade or something!

She nodded to herself, pumping her fist as a plan to make it the perfect afternoon was solidified.

"Are you alright, Miss Fuyu? You banged your head really hard!"

Oh god, she'd forgotten that she was still in class! Had the kids finished their tests already?!

Izuku almost dropped the phone with how much his hands were shaking.

Fuyumi.

Fuyumi!

Todoroki's beautiful older sister.

The same beautiful older sister that kissed him on the cheek.

That Fuyumi had pretty much just asked him to come over for a movie date, according to both Iida and Ochako's opinions when he had shown them the texts. Was he in heaven?

She was pretty enough to be an Angel, so maybe this was heaven.

"Kachaan, am I dead and in heaven?"

"If you don't shut up and rack those damn weights you just used, you fucking will be!"

Izuku sighed, grabbing the plates with Blackwhip and putting them on the bench press bar while he wiped down the machine they had both just finished using. Maybe Kachaan wasn't the best person to ask about 'heavenly' anything.

"I guess there is only one option left for me… I was hoping it wouldn't come to this."

Deku

I would like to activate Operation, uh…

'MMPIFOAPGF'

I think that's what you called it?

I remember thinking you'd fallen asleep on your keyboard when you sent it at first.

MinaMinaMinaMina!

YOU

WHAT

YES!

WHO IS IT WITH?

WAIT DON'T TELL ME!

Deku

It's… hard to explain?

You free tonight to help me figure out what I'm going to do?

MinaMinaMinaMina!

Of course!

Operation 'Make Midoriya presentable in front of a potential girlfriend' is a go!

Deku

Just, please don't go spreading it around that I have a date?

Or at least, a 'maybe' date?

MinaMinaMinaMina!

Ok ok

Cool cool cool

No problem

Say

Hypothetically

If all the 1-A girls already knew, how would you feel about that?

Deku

Oh god…

"Deku! You cannot go out on a date in a T-shirt that says 'fancy shirt' on it!"

Izuku frowned as he put down the black T-shirt with white writing on it, throwing it into the large, and growing larger, 'no' pile of clothing. He was currently in his dorm room with the girls of 1-A, all of which claimed to have the 'best senses of fashion around'.

He didn't even know if that was actually true, but even if it wasn't they were most likely better than his own.

Ochako huffed from Asui's lap as she floated the pile of clothing onto his bed. Mina and Tooru sighed simultaneously, while Jirou and Momo kept scouring his wardrobe. Setsuna eventually spoke up.

"How do you have exactly one nice looking outfit? And even then, it's sporty-casual, not dinner-casual, so we can't even use it!"

Izuku sighed, looking at the items Jirou had hung over her jacks. He nodded as he saw the light blue All-Mightidas short sleeve hoodie, the plain black workout top, and the dark grey workout shorts.

"I think those were a gift, actually…"

There were sighs from the girls as they shook their heads, and Izuku could tell that he hadn't really helped his case. Momo in particular shook her head. "Well, this lack of suitable clothing won't do. What are your sizes?"

Izuku didn't know the exact sizes off by heart, so he just pulled his usual UA uniform out of the pile of 'totally unacceptable date clothes' and handed Momo the shirt and pants. She hummed as she checked the size tags, before turning to the rest of the girls.

"Ok, I've got your sizes now, so what are we thinking style-wise? Assuming a full suit is out of the question, of course. Midoriya, what will you be doing during this 'date' of yours?"

Izuku rubbed the back of his head, blushing. "Uh, just watching some videos, and maybe a movie I think? I might be there for a few hours though, so maybe cooking as well? I'd hate to make her do all the work."

Momo nodded at that, and Izuku almost sweatdropped as she did a 180 from him and faced the girls. "So, what style should we be striving for, for a movie date?"

Ochako raised her hand. "We could do the classic white button-up and black pants? It's a classic for a reason!"

Mina blew a raspberry. "Classic, yea, but kinda boring don't you think? We should do ripped jeans, a white shirt, and a long coat!"

Tsu put her finger up to her chin, shaking her head. "I think simple would be best for him, he's self-conscious as it is, we should be picking one that makes him feel comfortable. She will probably be able to tell if he isn't, and that's a bad first impression for a date."

"Tsuuuuuuu! You can't just agree with your girlfriend all the time!

"I don't see why not, though? She makes good points."

Izuku blushed, dropping his head a little further down. "I'm right here, you know, you don't have to roast my fashion sense out loud…"

The girl decidedly ignored him, and eventually, Momo had created a small pile of clothing for him to try on, before shooing him into the bathroom. It was a few minutes later, after a couple of outfits had gotten shot down, that he emerged from the bathroom for the last time.

Getting a thumbs up from the girls, Izuku nodded to himself.

He could do this!

He definitely could not do this.

"Hello, Midoriya."

Izuku gulped as he stared up at Endeavour, who had opened the front door of their house after he had knocked. Izuku was still very shocked at his sudden appearance, having expected Fuyumi, and his throat felt blocked.

Eventually, he was able to squeak out a high pitched; "Hello sir!"

Endeavour looked him up and down, and Izuku felt himself standing up as straight as possible, like a soldier during an inspection. He was in long black slacks, with a deep, forest green button-up shirt on, which hopefully was 'appropriate' enough for Endeavour to not actually roast him.

After a few moments of this, Endeavour coughed, before stepping out of his house.

"Fuyumi is inside. I am leaving. She is an adult now, and I am doing my best to respect that her choices are her own. But I will say…"

Izuku was still trying to register that he was leaving when Endeavour leaned in very close to Izuku, his face-fire flaring up as he narrowed his eyes. "...If I hear that you have done anything to hurt her, you will feel the full power of the Number 1 Hero."

Izuku nodded rapidly, so fast that he was almost worried he was using Full Cowling, but the tell-tale green lightning wasn't there, so he was fine. "I wouldn't dream of it, sir!"

Endeavour stood back up straight, and nodded once, before walking towards the front gate, leaving Izuku's line of sight after a few moments as he flew off with his fire. Izuku watched the gate for a few more seconds, before sighing heavily.

"Ah! Izuku! I thought that was you arriving!"

Izuku practically jumped as he heard Fuyumi's voice, and when he turned away from the gate to look at her, his heart stopped for a moment.

Her hair was down, framing her beautiful face, while her glasses framed her wonderful grey eyes. She had some black tracksuit pants on, with a white t-shirt over them, and a brown cardigan over it all.

The glasses and clothing combo enlightened Izuku to the fact that he really liked the 'sexy teacher' vibe Fuyumi seemed to constantly have. His face went red almost immediately, and when his heart started again, it was pounding in his chest. "H-Hello Fuyumi! It's g-great to see you again! You l-look really nice!"

Fuyumi blushed a little as well, her hand coming up to her cheek as she smiled. "Thank you, Midoriya, that's sweet of you to say. Now come in, come in!"

Izuku walked into the house, feeling incredibly nervous as he took his shoes off at the doorway. It was pretty much identical to when he was last here, except this time there was no smell of food cooking.

Fuyumi led him to the lounge room, where they took a small step down onto the carpeted floor. There was a luxurious looking couch, and across from it was one of the biggest, nicest looking TV's he had ever seen.

Fuyumi saw that he was staring at it and blushed a little, giggling. "Yea, Father went… slightly overboard on decorating our house. Money isn't really an issue when you are as high ranked as Father is, so he splurged on making his house look immaculate."

Izuku whistled in awe, tearing his eyes off the TV and back to Fuyumi, just in time to see her sit down on the couch, her hands tying her hair into a short ponytail. The hair-tie in her mouth was the cherry on top of this absolutely lethal move, and Izuku blushed as he sat down as well.

"O-ok! So! I've got all of the videos of S-shoto's training on my phone. C-can I connect it to the TV through wifi, or do I h-have to plug it in?"

Fuyumi paused for a moment before smiling at him. "Just pass it here and I can plug it in for you! I'm more familiar with this TV anyway!"

Izuku nodded, unlocking his phone and opening the photos app, before handing it over to her. She hopped off of the couch again and walked over to the cabinet under the TV, bending over to plug the phone into a cord coming out of the side.

Izuku had to fight to stop blood from coming out of his nose as her butt was suddenly pointed in his direction, quickly staring at the intricate lights hanging from the roof as if they were currently the most interesting thing in the world.

There was a series of beeps and suddenly Izuku's screen was being shared to the TV. Fuyumi turned to him, a bright smile on her face. "Alright! I've got this all set up, wanna go whip up some popcorn with me?"

Izuku nodded quickly, floating off of the couch and following Fuyumi into the kitchen. As she opened the sliding door, Izuku was hit with an abundance of smells, all of them delicious. "W-wow! What are you cooking in here?! It smells amazing!"

Fuyumi placed a hand on her cheek as she opened one of the many cupboards, grabbing out a small blue bag with a picture of popcorn on the front. "Oh, I wanted to cook us some snacks! And then, well… it kinda evolved into me cooking a bunch of dinner dishes! I hope you don't mind?"

Izuku shook his head, taking the lid off of one of the pots quickly, and sniffing. "I don't mind at all! Oh, is this Nikujuga? With how it's smelling at the moment, we can probably have dinner after we finish watching all of Todoroki's training videos! Damn, now I almost can't wait! You're cooking is fantastic!"

Fuyumi nodded, a grin on her face, and Izuku thought he saw her face go a little red but didn't point it out, not wanting to be rude. If this was supposed to be a date, then the worst thing he could do was make her uncomfortable by pushing things too fast.

Also, his anxiety was working overdrive right now, so he didn't want to rush things either, otherwise, he might become a statue again, like he used to whenever Ochako talked to him.

"Ok, well like you said, these need a while, so let's go watch those videos! I'm excited to see how Shoto is progressing!"

Izuku was practically frozen on the couch.

They had sat next to each other on the large couch, flipping up the leg rest and reclining backwards until they were kind of half-sitting half-lying down, and about halfway through the second video when he heard the couch rustle, and then he felt it.

Fuyumi was resting her head on his shoulder.

He had immediately frozen when she did, worried about moving and making her uncomfortable, and had been stuck like that as they watched until the very end of the second video.

She took her head off his shoulder so he could reach over to the remote on the table in front of them with a hum, and to Izuku, it almost sounded disappointed. He made sure to hurry and turn the next video on and felt her head return to his shoulder.

He felt himself freeze up again, and Fuyumi sighed, sounding disappointed, and maybe a little sad, and reached forward to grab the remote. She paused the video and turned to Izuku, a frown on her face.

"Are you uncomfortable?"

Izuku jolted at the question, instantly starting to sweat a little, shaking his head as he waved his hands frantically. "What? No, no! Of course not! Why would I be?"

Fuyumi's posture dropped, and Izuku could tell that she was upset with something, and really, it was most likely him, if she was asking him about this directly.

"It's just… you're really sweet and kind, and cute, so I wanted this night to be perfect! I found a way to invite you over, I kicked my siblings out, I even got dad to agree to go away… and then I have you here, and you seem to be really uncomfortable around me, and I just don't know what else I can do! Is it because I'm Shoto's older sister?"

She looked up at him and he could see that her eyes were red behind her glasses. Izuku had to fight to hold back his own tears at the sight of her so upset. "Fuyumi, no, you don't need to do anything else! And it's not about you being Todoroki's sister either, I promise"

She glanced at him at that. "Then why do you freeze up every time I touch you? Oh god, did you not think this was a date? Or… did you not want it to be?"

Izuku smiled a little bit despite himself. "Are you kidding me? I've been wondering if it was supposed to be one since you invited me over, and getting confirmation that it is is awesome!"

He leaned forward, feeling more confident than he had in a while, grabbed her hands. "Fuyumi, I was hoping that this was a date, and why wouldn't I be, you're amazing! I'm just… nervous, I always have been."

She nodded, frowning still, but her eyes had cleared up slightly. "That's… I get that. I'm sorry if I was pushing you too quic-"

"No, Fuyumi, it's not that, really. It's just. I've never really been on a date before, it was either the wrong time, or I just wasn't able to, or well, not a lot of people have sincerely asked me out before."

He saw the pitying look that appeared on her face as she read between the lines, squeezing his hands. He gave her a smile. "I really like you, Fuyumi, that's why I'm so anxious. I didn't want to mess this up and ruin and chance with you. But I guess I kinda did. Talk about irony, heh."

Izuku paused his self-deprecating laughter as Fuyumi pursed her lips, a serious look appearing on her face. "Are you serious? Did you not hear me at all, Izuku? I like you as well, enough to want to try dating you! So no! You didn't 'ruin' anything!"

He yelped as she dragged him forward by the hands, letting go and wrapping him up in a hug. "And you know what, now that we know the problem, we can work on it! All we need to do is talk with each other, and we'll be fine."

She pulled back out of the hug, a smirk on her face. "Now, Izuku. Are you comfortable with me snuggling up to you while we watch TV together?"

Izuku laughed at the official tone of her voice, nodding to her and grabbing the remote from the table, placing it on the couch next to him so he wouldn't have to move next time to change the video.

He laid down and Fuyumi pulled a blanket out from beside the couch, snuggling up to him and covering the both of them with the blanket. Izuku instinctively wrapped his arm around her, his hand resting on the small of her back, and a grin appeared on his face.

He didn't need to ask anyone to make sure anymore, he knew deep down that Fuyumi was an angel. And with her snuggled into his chest, comfy and warm under the blanket, Izuku knew for sure that he was in heaven.

He couldn't wait to see where this relationship took them.
