Hey everyone! So this isn't a major update, I honestly just needed to type something out so that I could unclog the pipes and this was the result. I'm still posting it cause... fuck it!

Book 3 – Chapter 1: Filler chapter

The boys' second year was steadily coming to an end. The teachers had announced that due to some of the students being petrified final exams for students below fifth year had been canceled and that everyone would get a passing grade... that seemed a tad irresponsible to Andrew but he didn't voice his thoughts and simply celebrated with the rest of the school; sans Hermione who was quite upset.

Andrew and Harry had gone to Flitwick one last time during the last few days to get one more wand training session in before the school closed for the summer.

"Ah, how are you two boys feeling?" Flitwick asked when they entered the classroom.

"Pretty good, sir."

"Feeling good."

"Ah, glad to hear it. Now then, shall we continue." he conjured the targets from last time and distanced the boys from them. "Begin."

"Argumenti!" they both shouted while thrusting their wands forwards producing a stream of water that shot off towards the dummies.

This went on for at least five minutes before Harry stopped and sighed. "Sir, we aren't making any progress at all." he said looking slightly dejected.

"Hmm, yes, Harry it would seem so. Tell me, what are you feeling while you are casting the spell?" he asked as he walked over to his desk.

"Err... nothing?"

"Frustration." Andrew growled as he once again thrust his wand forwards and a lackluster stream sprouted from his wand.

"Hmm, what do you boy's remember me telling you about casting while angry?" Flitwick asked as he sat down at his desk and propped his head in his hands.

"Not to do it." the Potter's responded together.

"Yes, but why?"

"Because, our magic would then feed on our emotions and be fueled into an almost uncontrolled typhoon..." Andrew responded his eyes widening as he figured out what was missing, he wasn't alone as Harry quickly got into position next to his brother and raised his wand.

Taking a breath Harry seemed to concentrate for a second before his eyes snapped open. "Argumenti!" he shouted and a large pillar of water shot from his wand connecting with the dummy and blowing it into the wall behind it.

He wasn't alone though as the same spell was yelled by Andrew and another pillar of Aqua was seen blowing the second dummy into the wall behind it.

"Ahahaha! Yes! That's it boys, very, very well done! Remember that while visualization, technique and power are all factors in making a spell work, it's intent that makes the spell work well. Now, I think that is enough for today! Go on now, you should pack your bags, the school closes in a few days after all."

"Yes sir!" they said as they turned and walked out of the classroom, leaving Flitwick with a big smile on his face. Oh how excited the tiny professor was to see just how high these two boys would fly.

Andrew had broken away from his friends and made his way over to his secret cave... well his co-owned secret cave. Finding the random portrait he once again pushed until he saw the tunnel leading to the door to the amazing room.

Opening the room he walked in and was surprised to see his friend wasn't in there today, they'd probably be along soon so he decided to wander into the library and look for a book to read. He scanned the shelves looking for something to grip his attention.

"Hmm, come on, there has to be something in here. Oh, hello?!" he said interestingly. "Animagi; the Origin Story."

He pulled the book from the shelf and made his way over to one of the sofa's in the room and took a seat. Cracking the book open he began reading of a Wizard named Lysander Longshout, the dark skinned boy decided not to make a comment on that name and just moved on.

This Longshout fellow had been traveling the world and found an ancient tribe in one of the forests in Southern America; the tribe had welcomed him happily and once he had shown them magic they had him treated like royalty as they saw his magic as something gifted onto him by the Gods. He had helped their tribe greatly; being proficient in warding, the man had set wards around the entire village to hide them not only from dangerous beasts but unfriendly strangers, he also added a compulsion ward on a section of the river that ran next to their village which provided them with bountiful amounts of fish.

As such the tribe elders agreed and deemed the man worthy to learn of their secrets, of all the secrets shared the most enticing one was of transforming ones body into that of an animal. It took the man years to study and perfect the transformation; many hours of meditation, countless nights of the village shaman giving him herbs and 'potions' to help him in his discovery of his spirit animal, thousands of painful first attempts but after ten years he had finally transfigured into the mighty and proud black wolf; the symbol of the tribe that had taken him in.

Andrew was so rapt in the book, he hadn't even heard his room mate calling out to him.

"Potter!"

"Jesus! What?... Oh hi, when did you get in here?" he asked.

"About five minutes ago, but you didn't say anything so I thought you were going to give me blissful silence until I saw that you were reading the book I was busy with."

"Oh, well, I was here first so..."

"I will hurt you."

"Oh someone's grumpy, what's gotten into you, buddy?"

"Firstly, it isn't any of your business and secondly, don't call me 'buddy'."

"Fine... have fun being a grouch."

"I .Am .Not .A .Grouch."

"That's something a grouch would say." Andrew said in a sing song tone.

"I will hex you..."

Andrew simply raised his hands in surrender but didn't even try hiding his amused face and went back to reading about Lysander.

"Potter, the book!"

"Oh, it's quite interesting, thanks for asking." Andrew replied.

"You- I can't... AHH!" with a yell they fell into the other single sofa and put their face into their hands with a groan. "If I tell you what's happening will you give me the book?"

"Probably not, but if you want to get it off your chest I'm willing to listen." Andrew responded not looking up.

Sighing, the Slytherin conceded. "It's my father." they started.

"You know you're quite easy to break through to..." Andrew said interrupting them.

"Do you want to know or not?!"

"Sorry, continue."

And so the Slytherin began telling their story of how their father had certain plans in the works for them, Andrew listened closely and asked questions here and their to figure out exactly what was happening. And once the story had been told the Gryffindor found himself highly disgusted. He promised his secret friend that he'd find some way of helping them out of this horrific venture. Luckily they had another five years to plot their plan.

Harry had decided that since his brother had disappeared that he would go on his own little walk and see where he ended up. He shut off his mind and simply wandered out of the castle and before he knew it he had wound up behind the school by the Herbology greenhouses. Entering the greenhouse he was quite surprised to see his classmate, Neville Longbottom tending to one of the plants he had personal experience with from the previous year; Devil's Snare.

"Hey there Neville." he greeted as he walked up to the slightly pudgy boy.

"Oh hello, Harry."

"Devil's Snare, right?"

"Yeah, dead useful plants these are."

"I wouldn't know..." Harry said glaring at the smaller version of the tentacles that tried strangling and killing him and his friends.

"Actually you would. According to Professor Sprout they're an ingredient in Dreamless Sleeping Potions." Neville said as he quickly snipped a leaf from the plant before it could grip his fingers.

"Huh, really? That is fascinating... well with Snape as a teacher we'd probably never find that out."

"We probably would have, after I messed up the potion and caused an explosion."

"It happened one time-"

"Four."

"Four times... so what? He should then be helping you out instead of watching you make the mistake." Harry said with finality.

Neville hummed slightly and turned back to the plant and Harry took a look around before seeing a familiar tuff of hair disappear around the corner of the entrance to the greenhouse. "Hey Neville, I'll talk to you later."

"Alright Harry." Neville responded with a small wave.

Walking over to the door he then saw the person disappear around one of the sides of the school. Harry jogged slightly and was about to turn the corner and greet the person before he heard voices, he couldn't help but ease drop on the conversation.

"... what do you want Kyle?" Tonks asked in a frustrated tone.

Harry knew that name, that was the guy Tonks had gone off about when she seemed down.

"How were the exams?" the boy; Kyle asked.

"Peachy, now what the hell do you want?

"Come on, I'm trying here, Nymmie."

"Don't you dare call me that; there are only two people I've given the right to call me that and you are definitely not one of them!" Tonks replied heatedly.

"Look okay, I'm sorry, but I- I miss you and I want us to... you know try again." Kyle said in a low voice.

"Oh you do, do you? You want that? Well, can I tell you what I want or is this going to be a repeat of what happened last time."

"Look, I know, I'm sorry, I'm a horrible boyfriend."

"No, you're a horrible person, Kyle! How in the ever loving fuck did you think asking me to replicate Jennifer's boobs – my best friends boobs, was going to somehow work out in your favor?!" Tonks asked angrily.

"Okay yeah, I realize that now, I don't know what had gotten into me, I'm sorry."

"You know what, Kyle, leave me alone. I want absolutely nothing to do with you and a really hope that you fall into a pit and land in the deepest pit of hell." Tonks said as she turned around.

"Merlin, you know what, fine, who would want a whore anyway?!" Kyle responded.

"Excuse me?"

"You know that's what everyone in Hufflepuff thinks, right?! That you went and fucked Charlie Weasley when he was in his final year and we were in our second! Yeah, Tonks; the girl who turns into your biggest fantasy and you know what I didn't even want you! I wanted Jennifer but I knew she wouldn't date me so I scaled down and dated the damaged goods, your only good quality was that you could actually change into that trumped up slut."

Now Harry didn't know much about the situation he had just heard but what he did know was that he was angry, it had obviously affected her, she was currently sniffing and Harry knew she was crying. It was here he decided to step out.

"Okay, that's enough!" he proclaimed stepping out from behind the corner.

"Harry!? What- What are you doing here?!" Tonks asked, her face turning a bright red while her hair turned blue.

"Potter, what are you doing here? Can't you see the adults are talking?" Kyle; a tall, thin boy with sandy blonde hair said condescendingly.

Harry took a step towards the boy. "The only adult I see here is Tonks, because from where I'm standing you're acting like a spoiled little shit."

"That's something Andrew would say..." Tonks commented offhandedly.

Harry shrugged. "Well, he is my brother so..."

"Walk away, Potter."

"Make me, brat."

It was something Harry should have seen coming or at the very least prepared for but he hadn't and that was how he found himself laying on his back, slightly dazed and staring at the sky.

"Ha! You're all hype and no substance, Potter. Pathetic." Kyle said in a cocky tone.

"Kyle! What the hell are you thinking?!"

"I'm thinking that I'm about to teach this brat a lesson."

"Depulso!"

The spell caught the Hufflepuff off guard and he was blasted off his feet, landing a little away from Tonks and Harry.

"You. Little. Shit!"

"Kyle, stop!" Tonks yelled while blocking his path.

"Out of the way, Tonks!"

"No! Leave him alone."

Kyle raised his wand at Tonks but wasn't fast enough as the Metamorph shot the disarming spell towards him, hitting him straight in the chest and catching his wand in midair.

"I'm not going to warn you again, leave him alone."

"Stupid bitch!" the blonde yelled while charging the young girl.

"Argumenti!" they heard from behind Tonks before a high pressured beam of water blasted the boy back into a tree.

Turning, the now red haired girl looked at Harry.

"We won..." he joked tiredly; it wasn't well received as Tonks marched over to him with a furious look on her face.

"What the hell were you thinking?! Why did you get involved? He's in sixth year! He would have killed you if I hadn't been here!"

"But you were here, and besides; how do you expect me to sit back and listen to him insult you like that?!" he fired back giving her a lazy glare.

Tonks sighed before turning back to where Kyle now lay knocked out. She walked over to him and slipped his wand back into his pocket before standing and headed back to Harry. Pulling the twelve year old to his feet she helped him steady himself before stepping back and giving him a small smile.

"I know you had good intentions and thank you; I really appreciate it. But at the same time, I'm aiming to be an Auror I need to learn to defend myself. So promise me, next time you'll just let me handle it, okay?"

Harry paused for a moment before nodding. "Okay, I promise, I won't step in unless you ask me to."

Smiling Tonks leaned in and gave the raven haired boy a peck on the cheek before stepping back, "So, want to go to the kitchens, get some chicken and feed the Giant Squid?" she asked with a wicked grin on her face.

"Isn't feeding the Squid against some sort of school rules?" Tonks nodded with an impish look on her face.

"Lead the way!"

Ron and Hermione were sitting in the Gryffindor common room, each one busy with their own devices.

Hermione was currently in the middle of reading a giant book while Ron had challenged both Seamus and Dean to a chess match and was in the middle to destroying the two of them. The atmosphere was... comfortable, with both of them being occupied with their own thing, that is until a loud bang was heard and Andrew walked through the portrait door.

"Where's Harry?! I have an idea for a prank that is probably going to be the best thing ever... maybe, hopefully."

Deciding not to ask Ron gave Andrew and answer. "Said, he was headed out for a walk, haven't seen him since."

"Dammit, fine then one of you two; let's go!" Andrew said pointing to the two of them.

"Can't, busy with a match." Ron responded.

"Fine, Mio, let's get to it." the dark skinned boy demanded motioning to the door with his hand.

Hermione let out a small groan. "I really don't want to be involved with..."

"Too late!" Before she knew it, the bushy haired girl was grabbed and pulled out of her seat, the book she had been reading falling out of her lap and landing with a heavy thump on the ground.

"Andrew!"

Her yell faded as the pair disappeared from view and rushed down the hall.

"What's he got planned this time?" Seamus asked Ron.

"Don't know, but growing up with Fred and George made me paranoid of pranks."

"Makes sense."

"Understandable."

The three boys went back to their match and all thoughts of Andrew's prank disappeared from their minds.

Andrew dragged Hermione through the halls but suddenly stopped when his path was blocked.

"Su! How are you feeling?!" he asked the tiny Asian girl.

"Potter, I'm doing better, thank you for asking. And would you stop calling me by my first name."

"But we're friends..."

"We are not...!" Sighing Su decided to not entertain him on that topic. "So where are the two of you off to in such a hurry?"

"No clue, he grabbed out of the common room and dragged me along with him." Hermione responded with a bored tone.

"Actually... three might be better than two." Andrew said his eyes moving wildly.

"No... no, no, no, no, no, no! I absolutely refuse to be involved with anything you've got planned."

Andrew stared the girl in the eye before smirking slightly. "You know you want to..."

"Potter..."

"Off to the library again are you?" he asked with a raised brow, causing the Ravenclaw to look away slightly embarrassed; unknowingly she was mirroring Hermione's reaction to Andrew's question.

"We're going to be in this school for another five years! We need to have fun now before studying takes over our lives." Andrew said looking between the two with a pleading look.

With a simultaneous sigh the two girls conceded to the boy and let him drag them away. Unbeknownst to the others each student had a massive smile on their faces.

Professor Dumbledore sat in his seat in his office going over another abhorrently long letter sent to him by the Minister of Magic himself; Cornelius Fudge. He rubbed his face tiredly, honestly couldn't the man go a single month without sending him some sort of dramatic letter?

The aged professor sighed before putting the letter to the side deciding on going for a walk around the castle. Exiting his classroom the first thing he saw was Andrew Potter pulling a slightly annoyed looking Hermione Granger and Su Li behind him while he had a look of absolute mischief on his face. Now if asked the Headmaster would simply claim he hadn't seen the three disappear down the hall, but honestly the old man was simply curious.

Casting a disillusion spell on himself and a silencing spell on his feet before following the three students. They made multiple turns through the halls before they headed in the direction of the dungeons. It was here that Miss Granger stopped and asked Andrew what it was exactly that he had planned. It was then that Andrew called out for one of the school Elfs that popped into existence.

The instant appearance made the two girls squeal in surprise while Dumbledore gave the elf a small shake of the head to alert it that he did not wish to be discovered. The elf turned away from the Headmaster as if it had never seen him. Hermione was instantly firing off questions about the small creature while Miss Li had a hand on her chest to quell her now viciously beating heart.

Once Andrew had explained his idea to the two girls and the elf they all seemed very reluctant to comply. Dumbledore watched, both fascinated and disturbed at how Andrew seemed to talk in such a way that it managed to both persuade the girls and somehow convince them that this was something which would benefit everyone. The Headmaster felt a shiver run down his spine; as he watched Andrew work the two girls into his ploy, he was reminded of a young man. Where Andrew was very young with a tongue of silver, this young boy was a tad older but had a tongue of gold.

He managed to convince himself that Andrew was indeed not the same as that person before turning and continuing on his journey of the castle. He moved stealthily through the halls, silently weaving through students who were on their ways to do whatever it was they did when the final days of school came around.

Smiling to himself, Dumbledore couldn't help but be happy watching the kids laugh and joke with one another as they moved through the castle. Now if only he could somehow get the houses to cooperate, well Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw were typically pleasant to the other houses, the biggest issues are Gryffindor and Slytherin... Perhaps he should try and convince Minerva and Severus to schedule more classes together?

The Headmaster had somehow found himself in front of Great Lake and took a refreshing breath of fresh air before he heard the slight slapping of something on the water. Looking across the way he saw Harry and Nymphadora laughing hysterically as they threw the Giant Squid what seemed to be a cupcake. He watched the Squid's tentacle shiver in delight before another popped out of the water and the two appendages performed a few tricks while the sixth and second years roared with laughter.

Dumbledore had a mind to go over and tell the two students that feeding the Squid treats was against school rules, but he was reminded of another scene from two other students from many years ago; of course it was still against the rules back then, but the boy back then had never really been a fan of rules or authority in general, and the girl was an amateur at the act of rule breaking; but the boy was obviously tutoring her well.

Dumbledore was brought out his thoughts when he heard the carefree laughter of the Gryffindor and Hufflepuff students, in many ways both the Potter boys resembled their father; James, they both loved their friends and would put themselves in harms way for them, just like James had. They were also so much like Lily; Harry had her caring nature, generally putting himself second and only thinking of himself when others were safe, while Andrew had an unnatural thirst for knowledge and could soak a book clean of it's contents. Of course there were many more parallels, but not wanting to jinx anything, Dumbledore decided to shelf those thoughts and headed back into the castle. He still had a letter to reply to.

Not really much to add here so... just gonna end it off here!
