Last Time on: Black and White

"Andrew we have to get you to the hospital wing." Hermione said an arm around the boy's waist keeping him up.

"Wait." the boy said as he walked over to Buckbeak who looked at the boy with a cocked head. Andrew proceeded to bow deeply to the Hippogriff. Who seemed to regard Andrew for a moment before bowing back to the boy.

"Alright, let's go shall we? This is more painful than you'd think." he said gesturing to his arm.

As they left the clearing and Hagrid called the class to an end, Andrew was being watched by someone. Someone who smiled and made a mental note to visit the boy in the Hospital wing, before he was discharged. He knew getting to friendly terms with Potter would pay off eventually.

Book 3 Chapter 5: On friendlier Terms.

Harry had just come from the Hospital Wing from visiting his brother, he was on his way to see if he could console his large friend. Hagrid felt incredibly guilty about what had happened during his lesson. As he walked he heard something from one of the classrooms, it sounded suspiciously like crying. Stopping the teen walked towards the door and slowly pushed it open. The slight creaking sound alerting the occupant to his entrance.

"Hello?" Harry called out as he walked into the room. The light from outside illuminated a figure sitting on a table, they had dark black hair which fell limply on their scalp. He got closer until he was right behind them.

"Hey, err, are you okay?" he asked feeling slightly awkward.

The person turned and Harry sucked in a large amount of air. "Tonks?! What happened? Are you okay?" he asked his friend.

The girl in question looked at Harry, tears streaming down her face as she sobbed openly. Suddenly she turned and grabbed Harry burying her face into his chest and once again wept. The raven haired boy stood and let his friend cry. When she was ready, she would tell him what was bothering him.

Being hold up in the Hospital wing was something Andrew was unbelievably irritated about. Why was he here? Why did he do that? If anything he should have pushed Malfoy into Buckbeak's open talons and let the blond cock suffer like he was suffering. Sighing, he looked up at the painfully white ceiling feeling agitated.

He heard the door to the Hospital wing and was surprised to see Blaise Zabini walking towards him.

"Blaise! What can I do for you?" Andrew asked with a smile.

"That was a foolishly Gryffindor thing you did out there." the Italian stated in a bored tone.

"Well... I mean, I am in Gryffindor."

"Indeed. So, how do you plan on letting Malfoy repay you?" Blaise asked cutting to the chase.

"Ah yeah, the uh, life debt? Barbaric but useful, I don't know yet, but I'll definitely think of something." Andrew said with a thoughtful expression. "Thanks for telling me about that by the way. I should tell Harry about it, just in case."

"To think; you a Potter, would want to know about such practices." Blaise said with a small smirk.

"In this world you can only trust so many people, sometimes you need an... advantage. Not to say I'd save people just for favors, but come on, Malfoy? There is definitely something I could use his name for in the future."

"And to think, I almost stopped being your friend." Blaise said calmly.

"Oh no, you're not going to waltz in here and think you and I can just go back to the way things were. Hell no, you are going to have to prove your loyalty to me somehow."

"Hmm, very Slytherin."

"No, very cautious." Andrew corrected.

Blaise didn't respond but simply smiled.

A couple of days passed and Andrew was discharged from the clutches of Madam Pomfrey. He quickly went to Gryffindor tower for a much needed shower and change of clothes.

Making his way down to the Great Hall he was accosted by Hermione who basically attempted to break his ribs. Once he had finally gotten away from her he was lead to the Gryffindor table and was greeted by the rest of his year mates.

Everything was relatively quiet until Oliver Wood walked up to the group and gave Andrew and Harry a piece of parchment with a message on it. "Quidditch try-outs Today at 6pm" the sixth year student said nothing and simply stared at the two boys. They knew what he was thinking; they had been incapacitated two years in a row during the last match. Basically he was telling them to not do that during this year.

They told that they'd be there and watched as Oliver narrowed his eyes at them before moving on.

"Try-outs? You guys didn't need to try out last year." Ron said clearly confused.

"Pretty hard to try out when there was a threat of being frozen." Andrew responded blandly.

"Uhh, I'll be right back." Harry said as he stood up and walked away from the Gryffindor table.

"Hmm, he's been going off on his own a little more lately." Hermione chimed after Harry had stated.

"It's a good thing, having friends in other houses that is." Andrew said with a small shrug.

Hermione simply hummed in response before going back to her paper. She suddenly gasped loudly, drawing a ton of attention to herself. Quickly she gave Andrew the paper and pointed out a paragraph she had been reading.

"Sirius Black, spotted near Dufftown." he whispered his brows furrowing. "That's not far from here."

"But he wouldn't be stupid enough to attack the school would he?" Ron asked his voice quivering slightly.

"A man locked up in a prison for a little more than twelve years... honestly, not even I can tell if he would or wouldn't. I guess we'll just have to wait and see." Andrew said with a shrug.

"You're awfully calm about this..." Hermione said suspiciously.

"No reason overreacting to something inevitable."

Harry returned to the table at that moment and was told about Black, the teen seemed to think about it for a second before nodding his head. "Thanks for telling me, we should get to class."

"What do we have next?" Ron asked.

"Well we have Divinations." Harry responded.

"And I've got Runes... hold on, Hermione those classes are at the exact same time. How are you going to pull this off?" Andrew asked a smirk gracing his face.

"Don't worry about me, you guys just get to class. I need to use the bathroom." the bushy haired girl said with an exasperated sigh.

"Mm-hmm."

The boys went off to class while Hermione disappeared for a bit.

Andrew had been sitting in his Runes class listening to the rumbling of the classroom when someone sat down beside him. Turning he saw Su Li diligently removing her texts from her bag, he was slightly confused as he would usually be the one to approach the grumpy Ravenclaw.

She greeted with a small nod of her head, "How's your arm?" she asked suddenly, causing the boys eyes to widen slightly.

"Oh, err... it's all patched up. Madam Pomfrey did a great job." Andrew responded, not enjoying the feeling of being taken by surprise.

"Good, I'm glad to hear that." she replied softly.

They lulled into a strained silence. Andrew blinked once, twice, three times and turned to look at her again; determined to get the last laugh from this.

"So, my dear sweet Su, you were worried about me?" he asked with a small grin. How dare she make him feel... taken aback?!"

A small blush appeared on the girl's face as she turned away from the boy.

"C-Can you blame me? My f-fr-friend... ended up hurt because Malfoy wanted to be the center of attention." she replied quietly.

The grin that had graced Andrew's face was wiped off as his own face started burning from embarrassment. "Friend?" he repeated for confirmation.

At Su's shy nod Andrew swallowed slightly, his mind was running a mile a minute at the moment.

"Y-You don't mind me calling you Su anymore?" he asked his eyes widening slightly.

"No; that is to say – I can get used to it. I was convinced by... I was told that I should be a little more open to the idea of friendship."

"Oh, that's- that's great?"

"So, wou- would you be opposed to me calling you... A-An... Andrew?"

"Not at all." Andrew responded a little faster than he would have liked. He furrowed his brows hoping Hermione wouldn't walk in and see him and Su acting like some kind of... couple or something. Hold on, why did he care about Hermione seeing them?! And on top of that, why would he care about what she thought if saw him and Su speaking? They spoke all the time, so it wasn't anything special, they were simply conversing; creating a string of vibrations at one another that their brains would decipher as words. Yeah... nothing to get nervous abou-

"Andrew?" he broke out of his musings and turned to address Su only to see her leaning over towards him her head slightly tilted to the side.

He immediately felt the heat return to his face as he stared directly into her near black eyes.

"Class started yet?"

The two of them jumped a foot in the air before turning to see Hermione sitting beside Andrew, quickly pulling out her stationary. At that moment Professor Babbling entered the room looking quite disheveled.

"Sorry I'm late! I was up all night trying to get this sequence of Runes to work, but for the love of all magic it just wouldn't! Anyway, welcome one and all to your very first lesson on Runes!"

"Yeah, just started." Andrew responded before facing the front stiffly, determined not to look at any of the girls.

Hermione knitted her brows in confusion as she stared at the boy strangely.

"She said you were going to die Harry!" Ron said urgently. "You saw the grim! That's the worst omen to ever exist!"

"Since when did you start believing in this shite?" Harry asked with a smirk.

"Harry, I'm serious! First Black, then the Dementors and now this?! How can this all be a coincidence?"

"The same way every time you eat most people lose their appetites." Andrew answered snarkily from his place on the couch before grinning at the red head's unimpressed look. "So what is this you're talking about?"

"It's nothing..."

"Like hell it isn't!" Ron said cutting Harry off. He then explained how their Divinations Professor had stated that Harry would be in grave danger due to his tea leaves forming the shape of a grim, which was the symbol of death in the world of tea leaves.

"Stop, my- my brain can only handle so much stupid..." Andrew said rubbing his face. At Ron's irritated face Andrew continued. "Listen, trust me, the only thing we have to worry about this year is Quidditch, avoiding the Dementors and Hermione's sudden appearance powers."

"Exactly Ron, Andy's right. Trust us." Harry said with a smile as he headed up to the dorm room.

"So what were you and Su talking about?" Hermione asked watching Andrew.

"Oh? Nothing of substance." he said, his face not giving anything away.

"Really? Looked like you two were close to kissing." Hermione said with humor very evident in her tone.

"Please." Andrew said standing and walking over to her and getting directly in her face as close as he possibly could - their noses barely touching. "And deny you all of my attention. Hermione, you wound me." he said softly.

Hermione blushed but grinned none the less. "Oh yes, what would I possibly do without you?!" she said with a dramatic flare.

Andrew stepped away still grinning. "Worry not fair maiden, for you shall never have to find out! I'm gonna be in your life until we both die." he said with a laugh.

"What if I die before you?"

"I'd never let that happen!"

"Pinky promise?" Hermione asked while raising her smallest finger.

"Pinky promise." Andrew assured her while gripping her pinky with his while they both smiled.

"Andrew! Try outs!" They heard Harry yell from their Dorms.

"Shit! I lost track of time!" he said rushing to get changed.

"Language!" Hermione called after him. The bushy haired girl was left in the common room smiling to herself before she turned to see Pavarti and Lavender giggling and smiling at her.

She sighed, they were definitely gossiping about something or another. She packed up her bag and threw her strap on to her shoulder as she left the common room to head to the field to support her friends.

The try outs were a no brainer for the boys, once again earning their positions as Seekers and reserve Chasers, the surprise came from the youngest Weasley; Ginny, becoming a first string reserve Chaser, which meant should there be a position of Chaser open she would go in before either Potter. In her extreme happiness she ended up hugging all of her team mates but pulled away from Harry with an overly red face.

Once everyone had enjoyed their shower and left for supper Harry and Andrew were met by Hermione and Ron who were congratulating them on their acceptance on to the team before they started headed into the castle.

"A-Andrew?" the dark skinned boy turned to see Su standing a small distance away.

"I'll catch up with you guys." he said walking back to the tiny Asian girl.

Hermione watched the two closely, a small smile playing on her lips before pulling the other two boys into the hall after her.

Andrew smiled at the small girl. "What are you doing here? Gathering intel for your team?" he asked as he adopted a playful look of suspicion.

"Oh, Good Lord no!" Su said sounding a little panicked. "I came to watch your Try-outs..."

"Really?" when she nodded Andrew smiled softly at the girl. "I didn't think you were interested in the sport."

"Oh, I barely pay it any attention. I hate flying..." she said with a small shiver.

"Scared of heights?" he asked at her nod Andrew couldn't believe that this was the same girl who had given so much shit when they had first met.

"But, as I understand it, friends take interest in each others activities." she said a little more confidently.

"Well, thank you for the support, how about next time I take an interest in something you like? Sound fair?" he asked.

"If you don't mind, that would be great!" she said excitedly as she turned to look at him.

"Alright! We'll do it!" he agreed, unknowingly matching her excitement.

"Okay, yeah..." she said as they started walking, neither realizing that they had been standing in one spot speaking for much longer than they had intended.

"Shall we?" he asked motioning to the castle.

"Let's." she replied with a nod of her head.

The whole way the two of them spoke learning a little bit about each other Andrew made sure to stay very far from the topic of family as he didn't want anyone to know about the Dursley's. Once they entered the Great Hall, they shared a quick wave and each left for their own respective tables.

Hermione watched Andrew sitting down with a small smile on his face. When they made eye contact she smiled at him, it's as he said, making friends outside of Gryffindor was a good thing. Hermione herself was already on talking terms with Susan, Hannah and Ernie from Hufflepuff and Lisa Turpin from Ravenclaw.

Su sat down at the edge of the Ravenclaw table with the only person she found interesting enough to talk to.

"Hello Su, enjoy your conversation with Drew?"

"Hi Luna, yes, I did quite enjoy our chat and 'Drew'? When did you two get so close?" Su asked with a small smile.

"Oh we haven't met, not yet anyway... not officially and in any case I think he will quite enjoy that nickname." the girl said while softly swaying her head side to side.

"Hmm, well, I could introduce you to him if you'd like?"

"No thank you, it should happen naturally, I think." Luna responded blinking a little before turning back to her supper and humming an unrecognizable song as she chewed.

Su watched the girl with a smile, most of the house had shunned her since she didn't make sense. Well not in a traditional sense, but Luna was actually a simple girl to understand, if you took the time to listen to her. Su was glad she met the girl on the train despite her initial attitude towards the girl they had quickly become... acquaintances. She looked over at the Gryffindor table and saw Andrew talking animatedly with his brother and their friends. She smiled, he had been trying for years to become friends with her, she on the other hand saw him as just another carbon Gryffindor copy for the past couple of years especially since all she had heard about him sounded like exaggerated crap.

Honestly? Fighting off Quirrel in their first year for the mythical Philosopher's Stone? Then killing a legendary beast in their second year? She remembered him speaking to her in the Hospital Wing when she had been petrified and his resolve to kill the... thing that had put her in that state did move her but she highly doubted he did it. The rumors in this school were so stupid, but Su had to admit; Andrew was interesting and perhaps being friends with him would be... exciting.

Later that night Harry and Andrew found themselves walking to Flitwick's classroom after receiving a summons. They were under no illusions what the summons was about. They entered the classroom and found their Professor waiting patiently with a serene smile on his face.

"Good evening boys." he greeted with a smile.

They greeted back before the small professor flicked his wand and two targets emerged in front of them.

"Today I think we'll start learning the Glacius charm." he said.

"The freezing charm." Andrew provided.

"Correct. Now the incantation is "Glacius" and the wand movement in simple swipe to the side."

They waited for a moment.

"T-That's it? That's all you're going to say?" Harry asked with furrowed brow.

"Yes."

"Okay?"

The two boys turned to the dummies and cast their charm, they were both happy to see a burst of ice fly from their wands, only to be disappointed when the dummies seemed to heat up and stop the ice from reaching them.

"Of course." Andrew muttered irritably as he shot their charms professor a dark look, to which Flitwick responded with an innocent smile.

"Now, what do you think the issue is?" the half-goblin asked.

"Not enough power?" Harry suggested.

"Clear advantage from the enemy?" Andrew replied in a snarky tone.

After chuckling slightly, Flitwick responded. "Well, while you are both correct the real answer would be while you're casting the spell."

There was a beat of silence again, "You're joking..." Andrew and Harry said their shoulders sagging slightly.

Flitwick chuckled again. "Oh I wish I were, but in all honestly; anyone worth their salt in dueling would be able to tell what your casting by the time you have the first syllable said." Flitwick responded. "So because of that, I have decided that you shall be learning to cast a spell without saying the incantation."

"All of this, just to test our wands." Andrew said tiredly.

"Trust me, you will be very happy once we have this sorted out."

Once their lesson for the night had concluded Harry turned to his brother.

"I need your help."

"...With?"

Harry didn't say anything and simply shared a look with his brother. Andrew's eyes widened for a second before dark look came across his face and finally a dark twisted smile graced his features.

"Oh... this is going to be beyond brilliant." Andrew said barely above a whisper.

The next day Hermione walked in to the common room and sat by the fireplace waiting for Ron, Andrew and Harry to come down. She pulled out one of her books and proceeded to read for a bit, before Lavender and Pavarti sat down close to her.

"So...?" Lavender asked with wide eyes.

Hermione stopped reading and looked up to the two girls. "So... what?"

"How long have you and Andrew been a thing?" Pavarti asked this time around.

"I'm sorry, I don't believe I follow."

"Oh come on, we saw you two yesterday before the boys went off to Quidditch practice."

"Saw us...?" Hermione asked her confusion further growing.

"Oh my God! You were flirting!" Pavarti finally said throwing her arms up in the air.

Hermione was extremely surprised at that, she turned a little pink but otherwise didn't react. "No, we were acting like how we usually do." she said explaining herself.

"Oh really, you usually get that close to each other's faces and whisper something?" Lavender asked with a raised brow.

"Oh and their little handshake." Pavarti provided.

"Oh, yeah you have such a cute little handshake!"

"... Handshake?"

"Yeah!" The two girls gushed before reenacting the pinky swear.

"Oh! No, that isn't a handshake, it's something two people do when they make a promise to each other. You raise your pinkies and hook them together." Hermione explained trying to turn the girl's away from the idea of her and Andrew being anything other than friends.

"Hmm...'Make a promise to each other', really?" Pavarti said with a smile.

"Oh, honestly, not like that!"

"What was your promise to each other then?" Lavender jumped in.

"That we'd be together until we died." Hermione answered with a shrug. She then turned to look at the other two girls before her eyes widened slightly. "No wait...!"

It was too late the two preteen girls were already shrieking happily.

"Wait, so like marriage?!"

"Right, right? Exactly like marriage, 'Till death do us part' and all that!"

"Please lower your voices! Andrew and I are only friends! That's all we are, that's all we'll ever be!" Hermione said sternly.

"Are you trying to convince us...?"

"Or yourself?" they asked with a devious smile on their faces.

"Hermione?"

Turning, the bushy haired girl saw Ron standing a little ways away.

"Oh Ronald! Andrew and Harry not coming?" she asked happy for the conversation shift.

"They weren't in their beds so I thought they'd be down here with you."

"Oh, maybe they just woke up early and went to have breakfast before us." Ron suggested with a shrug.

"Yes, maybe well then, shall we get going as well?"

Not waiting for a response Hermione pulled Ron out of the common room ignoring his inquisitive state and simply lead him to the Great Hall. It was there they found Andrew and Harry looking ungodly.

"What the hell?" Ron asked as they approached.

"We were busy." Andrew stated his voice gravelly and his eyes looking as though they were moving abroad with all the bags that were under them.

"Time has begun to shift within the hallowed halls of Hogwarts." Harry said strangely.

Hermione and Ron turned to look at Andrew with a confused look on their faces.

Andrew simply blinked. "I think after the 13th hour he sort of lost touch with reality. But it should be fine." he said as he turned to look at his brother who was inspecting a fork.

"No mister fork, I haven't used your brethren as tools for mass genocide."

"Yeah we should probably make sure he gets some rest." Andrew said his eyes narrowing his eyes at his brother slightly.

"Morning Andrew, Harry." turning, the two boys saw Lavender and Pavarti standing behind them.

"Pavarti, Lavender." Andrew greeted with a nod as he missed Hermione's glare at the two girls. "What can we do for you this morning?" he asked tiredly.

"Just wanted to check something." Lavender replied, at his nod they continued.

"Did you and Hermione make a promise to be together till the day you died?"

Andrew blinked, that was a random question. "Well, I promised her that first. Then I promised I wouldn't let her die before me." he said shrugging.

The two girls shrieked silently while jumping in place and Hermione rubbed her face irritably.

"Good morning, everyone."

As if they were all set on a mechanical mechanism all of their heads turned to see Tonks standing beside their table with Su Li under her arm.

"I brought a friend with me, hope you don't mind." she said with a smile.

There was a moment of silence. "Wait, friends?" Andrew and Hermione questioned at the same time.

"You two know each other?" Andrew asked with furrowed brows.

"Yeah, we got really close after the events of last year, since we were attacked together and have been hanging out every now and again." Tonks said with her regular smile. Harry narrowed his eyes but didn't say anything.

"Morning." Su greeted quietly.

"Well then, err please join us." Andrew said moving over slightly to let Su in.

"Oh well that's where I normally... but it's fine, I'll just sit here." Hermione said as she noticed Su took the spot she usually sat in. Not that one could claim a specific spot on a giant bench, it was more of the line up positioning she was talking about.

"Did you just see that?" Lavender whispered to Pavarti.

"A romantic rival!" Pavarti said her eyes shining with excitement.

"Shouldn't you two be going now?!" Hermione suggested her face red from not only embarrassment but also anger.

"Oh, sorry, right. Bye."

Andrew was so confused! What the hell was this commotion so early in the morning? He took a breath and simply blamed his lack of sleep, he looked over at Harry who seemed barely able to keep his eyes open. They needed to see Fred and George soon.

"So why'd you send me an owl to be here at this ungodly hour?" Tonks asked filling her plate with food.

"Watch." was all Harry said before his face slammed into the table.

"This was all his idea, by the way." Andrew added.

Tonks seemed intrigued, as they continued to eat breakfast nothing seemed to happen as the Hall filled with students looking to start their day.

Everything seemed to be going normally until...

"What the hell?!" the group at Gryffindor perked up and looked at the source of the noise, along with the rest of the school.

It was coming from the Hufflepuff table, or more specifically Tonks' ex-boyfriend Kyle; the now seventh year boy had a deep green hue to his skin and his hair started turning a baby blue shade, then across his forehead in a black darker than night the word cheater appeared. He stood to leave but the sound was followed by a loud sound of tearing pants, which just so happened to be the case as Kyle had somehow gotten his pants caught by something under the table, and his sudden movement upwards had caused his pants to get torn clean off revealing a less than admirable pair of tighty whities.

There was a large moment of silence before all the patrons in the burst out laughing. Tonks being one of the loudest in the lot. As the boy left the hall in a massive rush there was a loud beeping noise progressively getting louder, looking up everyone saw a board hanging above the door with the four houses displayed.

Everyone slowly stopped laughing as they instantly recognized the board. They all felt a strange sense of fear yet excitement fill their bodies as they heard the very familiar sound of music fill the air and two phoenixes flew through the sky. Gold and Silver lit the room as the two mythical birds played and trilled happily.

They exploded tremendously much like they had two years ago and a message appeared in the sky above the students.

"Hello Everyone

Since we couldn't do this last year we decided that this year the prank war will be worth double points! Every prank pulled successfully will be awarded with double the amount of points! Same rules apply as last time; if you have forgotten them, worry not, we've sent you a copy of the original letter, you should find it in your common rooms later on today!

Well then, not much to say except; LET THE GAMES BEGIN!"

Tonks turned to Andrew and Harry and shot them a million watt smile.

"I love you guys!" she gushed as she wrapped her arms around them and gave them a massive hug.

Su on the other hand simply smiled. Yep Andrew Potter and his friends were definitely interesting, she instantly knew this year would be one of her best ones.

Hello everyone who is reading this! Thank you for getting here!
