Hello everyone! Welcome back! Well, let's jump into it!
I don't own H.P.
Last time on Black and White: Book 3
"You know sir, it would be quite impossible for Black to access the castle on his own."
"What are you suggesting Severus? That he had help?"
"Perhaps an old friend... I warned you against-"
"I very much doubt that they have been in communication." Dumbledore said shutting the topic down.
"Should we alert the Potter boys?"
"Soon but for now let them rest, as I understand it, Fillius has been rather harsh with their training. He seems rather excited to duel the boys when he deems them ready."
Severus sighed and nodded his head before turning to leave the hall.
"I feel as though all I do is apologize to you Harry and Andrew, but I promise, soon you will be informed of all the questions you have." Dumbledore said sadly moving on.
Harry's eyes were wide as he lay in his sleeping bag, his mind whirled at what he had just heard.
Book 3 – Chapter 8: Chase the wisps
The next morning saw many stiff students rise from their sleeping bags. Harry stood and stretched as did many of his schoolmates. Once the majority had woken Dumbledore made his presence known by clearing his throat.
"Good morning, I hope you all had a lovely rest."
When he received no clear answer outside of the occasional glare and groan he chuckled slightly and continued.
"Yes well, I imagine not. However that shall be changing; as of today you may return to your houses. We have checked the school and the grounds and all appear to be in order. As for the Quidditch game scheduled for this morning; I have spoken with both Professors McGonagall and Snape and they have agreed that this game will be postponed until further notice."
At that announcement many students, primarily from the Gryffindor house voiced their unhappiness at the decisions. Dumbledore patiently waited for them to finish before he continued.
"Classes have been canceled for the day so that you may rest properly and they will resume again tomorrow. You are dismissed."
Students herded out of the Great Hall, many of them to sleep in the comfort of their beds and the others like Andrew; who was the first of the Gryffindors to rush out of the hall, to have a fantastic shower before having a day to regain their senses.
Andrew was excited to have a relaxing day but the moment he arrived at the common room portrait he froze and frowned in confusion. Obviously The Fat Lady; he really had to learn her name. The usual portrait was too scared to return, he understood that but who the hell was this joker?!
"Andrew? What's wrong?"
Turning, Andrew saw Hermione and few others making their way up the staircase to his location.
"This." he said pointing at the Portrait.
"Hazzah! Welcome young travelers! I am Sir Cadogan! Should you wish to brave this path you will have to provide me with the correct password!" the obnoxiously armored knight said waving his sword around proudly.
"Oh." Hermione said her brows furrowing in confusion.
"Yeah..."
"Oi! Hurry up!"
The two friends turned to see most if not all of Gryffindor house waiting behind them. Blinking they turned back to the painting and shrugged at each other slightly.
"Dedication." Hermione said, clearly.
"Hmm... Acceptable!" The knight exclaimed causing everyone to flinch in surprise.
The portrait moved revealing the doorway to the common room and immediately Andrew grabbed Hermione's hand pulling her in before the brash Gryffindor house tried forcing their way in.
"Thanks." she said with a smile.
"Not a problem, I'm going to go shower. I'll see you later?" he asked with a smile.
"Yeah, I feel like we haven't really hung out together lately." she replied with a smile of her own.
"Yeah it's been a... uhh crazy year so far."
"Alright, meet back down here in about twenty minutes?" Hermione asked.
"Yeah! See you then." Andrew replied before turning and headed upstairs to the 3rd year boys room.
Hermione left alone suddenly felt like a fetal animal as she turned and saw the predatory gazes of Parvati and Lavender. She slowly started backing away before turning and booking it for the girls dorms with the two gossip queens hot on her tail.

Andrew sat in the common room after fifteen minutes reading a book he had found on one of the tables in the common room. "Tolkien's: Lord of the Rings" Everything seemed way too familiar for him but he couldn't help but be caught up in the story. He had to admit Frodo and Sam were very Harry and Ron like... hell their names even had the same amount of syllables.
"Hey are you ready to go?" Hermione asked from behind him.
"Oh, yeah. Alright." Andrew stood and turned to see Hermione standing behind him and something about her looked different. He couldn't place his finger on it but there was definitely a change that happened.
"Everything okay?" she asked.
"I think so... what's different?" he asked her bluntly.
"Excuse me?"
"I feel like there's something different about you, but for the life of me..."
"Oh, Lavender and Parvati insisted I put make up on. They threatened to use a spell if I didn't let them apply it themselves." she said with a frustrated sigh.
"Hmm, okay."
"Is it bad?" she asked her expression turning to one of worry.
"No, not bad... just different. I like it, but I think you look nice without it too." Andrew said with a shrug of his shoulders.
"Oh. Thank you."
Hermione smiled and Andrew felt his heart beat rise, and heat rise to his face where again he thanked God for his dark skin for not showing it. Hermione was his best friend; so of course he'd think she looked good. What friend wouldn't think that? And the make-up really did stand out now that he knew what he was looking at. Her skin look smoother, her face looked... more defined, her cheekbones were more noticeable than usual but what stood out to him the most were her eyes. Hermione's doe brown eyes were so prominent they actually looked like a deep rich honey colour.
"You okay?" she asked smiling at him. Andrew blinked at how close she had gotten and again saw her eyes.
"What? Yeah. Sorry, just thinking. Let's go, yeah?"
Nodding in agreement the two made their way to the portrait only to be block by none other than Oliver Wood who looked... terrifying.
"Potter... where do you think you're going?" he growled out.
Andrew turned to Hermione and the girl looked slightly frightened. He couldn't blame her. He turned back to Wood, his shoulders sagging.
"I'll go change." He said dejectedly as he turned and headed towards the boys dorm to get his broom. His clothes were in the Gryffindor Quidditch rooms.

"Three hours! Three damn hours! Is Wood trying to kill them?!" Lavender asked from her seat on the stands next to Hermione.
Parvati and Lavender in a huff; forced Hermione to go to the practices to watch the team. She would've gone anyway but she'd usually have a book with her, this time around the Gossip Divas had pulled her along before she could grab something and now she was forced to listen to the two girls talk about any and everything.
"Honestly... and you two were going to have to have your first date today." Parvati sighed sadly.
"It wasn't a da-" Hermione didn't get a chance to finish her argument.
"Ooh maybe they could go after they finish their practice!" Lavender suggested.
"Yeah! But where? I mean, it isn't raining but the weather's horrid for a picnic."
"Hmm, they could just disappear somewhere in the castle."
"Oooh, empty classroom!" Hermione didn't like how Parvati squealed at that.
"Abandoned corridors!" Lavender added just as excitedly.
"Broom closets!" They squealed in simultaneous shrieks of excitement.
"There will be no broom closets or any of the other places you named! How many times do I have to tell you two? We. Are. Just. Friends! Nothing more, nothing less." Hermione stressed. "Besides, I think he likes someone else."
"You're kidding right?" Parvati asked with a genuine look of surprise.
"You guys might be just friends but you have more chemistry than most of the couples in the school." Lavender added. "And about him liking someone else, you just have to convince him that you're the one he want's to be with." Parvati nodded her head in agreement.
"Guys, I don't like him like that."
The two girls paused as they looked at the bushy haired girl. "Mm-hmm okay, you lie to yourself all you want but you'll face the truth sooner than you think." Parvati said before turning back to the pitch and started gushing about how she'd like to see Dean Thomas in the Quidditch uniform before Lavender joined the conversation excitedly.

Soon afterwards Wood had allowed the team to shower and enjoy the rest of their day. Hermione said her goodbyes to Lavender and Parvati as Harry and Andrew trudged out of Quidditch rooms tiredly. She congratulated them on a fantastic practice, Ron came jogging out of the castle towards them and it was then Hermione realized that she hadn't seen him all morning. She blushed at forgetting one of her friends.
"Hey, where have you been?" Harry asked with a raised brow.
"Sleeping, free day." Ron answered with a lazy shrug. "By the way have any of you seen Scabbers?" he asked with a worried frown.
"You mean that ratty old... rat?" Andrew asked.
"Well, he's been in the family since I think Charlie." Ron said defensively.
"Jesus... just how old is that thing?"
Ignoring Andrew, Ron continued. "Hermione, you don't think, your cat did anything to him, do you?"
Hermione felt herself bristle at the accusation.
"Crookshanks wouldn't hurt a fly! And besides if he did, he is a cat, and Scabbers is a rat so..." she answered with a shrug.
Ron started turning red before Harry stepped in.
"Ron calm down, I'm sure Scabbers is just fine. He probably just disappeared somewhere."
"Yeah, probably." the red head said shooting Hermione a suspicious look.
"Anyway, Andrew want to hang out now that you're done with your practice?" the only female asked as she turned to her best friend.
"Oh, yeah sur-"
"Excuse me." someone said interrupting Andrew. Turning he saw a very familiar top of blonde hair.
"Luna! Hey, what's up?" he asked with a smile.
The other three looked at each other in confusion.
"Hello Drew, how was your practice?" she asked earnestly.
"It was tough like usual. Oh yeah, Luna these are my friends; Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger and my brother Harry Potter, guys this is Luna, Ravenclaw 2nd year." he introduced with a smile.
Luna greeted the two boys with a small handshake and a smile before she turned and stared at Hermione, her eyes seemed blank. The older girl felt a bit uncomfortable before Luna smiled again, although this time it didn't seem to reach her eyes as she shook the girls hand. She gave her one last look before turning to Andrew and smiled.
"So, what can I do for you?"
"Professor Flitwick seemed rather enthusiastic about me giving this to you." she said as she handed the boy a piece of parchment.
"Ah..." Andrew said simply before handing the letter to Harry who sighed tiredly.
"Ooh, not good news?" she asked looking around curiously.
"Something like that." Andrew said shooting Hermione look.
"The amount of Nargles around you suddenly doubled. You should look into taking a break." Luna commented offhandedly.
The other three once again were confused as they were caught off guard by the odd girl.
"You know one day, you're going to have to explain what these creatures you keep talking about to me are." Andrew said with a frowned look.
"Ooh! Okay! Well, I've got to go, I suspect Su is looking for me." Luna said happily before she surprised everyone once again when she gave Andrew a hug before turning and skipping away.
"You know her?" Hermione asked once she regained her thoughts.
"Nargles?" Ron asked with a frown.
"Yeah, it's a... long story. But before that, I think Harry and I should go see Flitwick." he said turning to his brother.
"Which reminds me, what could Flitwick want with you?" Hermione asked, forgetting her previous question.
The two brothers shared a look before turning to Hermione.
"Maybe something to do with our work?" Harry suggested.
Hermione looked between the two boys. "That's it?"
"Probably." Andrew said. "Hey let's hang out afterwards, yeah?"
Hermione held back a sigh but nodded at him with a small smile. "Yeah. I'll see you then. Okay Ron, let's go look for Scabbers." she said patting the boy on the shoulder.
Harry gave Andrew a look before shaking his head and walking to the castle. Andrew sighed and followed close behind.

"Very well done boys! Both of you!" Flitwick cheered happily when the boys finally produced a small shield of light using the Patronus charm.
"This. Is. Exhausting." Harry said in between deep breaths.
"I hate Dementors." Andrew said laying on his back as his chest rose and fell in rhythm.
"Yes, they are quite annoying creatures, aren't they?" a voice asked from the door.
Turning the boys saw Professor Lupin standing by the door with a smile on his face before he approached them and handed them each a piece of chocolate.
"It really helps." he told them with a sincere smile.
"Boys, to be honest it was Professor Lupin who suggested you receive the training against the Dementors." Flitwick said shooting a look at Lupin that the boys couldn't decipher.
"Well, I mean he is the Defense teacher so..." Andrew said as he munched on his piece of candy.
"If you boys don't mind me asking, what memories did you use to power the spell?" Lupin asked curiously.
"Well, Professor Flitwick said to use a happy memory; and the happiest thing I can think of is my parents. They're smiling and talking to me. Not about anything in particular, just talking. I don't even know if it's real but that's what I used." Harry said with a small smile on his face.
The two teachers didn't know what to say for a moment before smiling at him. "I know they'd be very proud of you, Harry. Proud of both of you."
Harry smiled before everyone turned to Andrew who looked at the ground.
"Andrew?"
"Sorry?" he asked being snapped out of his mind. "Oh, same. Just mum and dad and them being safe and happy." he replied with a smile and nod.
"Well, like I said. I know they'd be very proud of both of you." Remus said smiling at both the boys.
Andrew looked away again. Harry knew he had lied. Andrew couldn't muster a happy memory. He had tried everything; coming to Hogwarts, riding his broom for the first time, defeating Voldemort the first time. But nothing worked. He even thought of his parents but even that didn't work! His biological parents had given him up to the Potter's for some reason, he suspected that they were dead but he no way of knowing. Then his second parents; did they take him in because they loved him, or did they only do it because they felt a compulsion to do it. If the thoughts of his parents couldn't produce a Patronus...
He had felt the happiness rise in Harry and linked their minds so that he could feel it as well and used that to produce the spell. He felt extremely shitty for lying to the two people who were trying to help him, but honestly he couldn't do it. He couldn't let them think that he was a lost cause.
Harry turned to his brother. "You alright?"
"No, but I will be."

A week passed before the Headmaster announced the green light for the Quidditch match, the hall went ballistic with enthusiasm at the news as Wood and Flint glared at each other from across their tables.
The day of the match arrived and the two houses found themselves in the stands awaiting the beginning of the game. Hermione and Ron were seated in their "usual spots" as they looked around excitedly.
"What the hell?" Ron muttered.
Hermione turned to look in the direction he had been staring at curiously and saw the girl Andrew had introduced them to a little while ago along with Su, both wearing what seemed to be custom made Gryffindor coloured sweaters. The two weren't hard to miss in the sea of Silver and Blue. The two girls chatted excitedly about something as they too awaited the game to begin.
"I guess it doesn't hurt that they're supporting Gryffindor." Hermione commented with a shrug.
"Yeah, oh by the way, I was thinking; did you maybe want to check out the Shrieking Shack on our next Hogsmeade trip?" Ron asked looking straight ahead at the field.
"Oh, yeah actually, I've been curious about it ever since you mentioned it in the common room." she replied excitedly.
"Really?! Great!"
Hermione nodded and smiled at the boy next to her before she felt herself being pulled back and the ever annoying voices of Lavender and Parvati intruded her ear cavity.
"Hmm, going on a date with Ron now, are you?" Parvati started.
"It's not a date, we're going as friends."
"Does he know that?" Lavender chimed in.
"Of course he does!" Hermione retorted sharply.
"Hmm, well... will Andrew?"
"What does he have to do with any of this?" Hermione asked, her patience wearing thin.
"Why don't you tell us? What ever happened to that day you two were supposed to spend together? Didn't something come up?" Lavender asked.
"How'd you know about that... Are you stalking us?!"
"..."
"... that's hardly the point." Parvati said after a beat of silence.
"Oh my God." Hermione groaned as she pulled herself forward and out of that conversation. She shot one last look to the Ravenclaw duo before Lee Thomas' voice boomed through the arena and the two Quidditch teams headed out to the field.
Ron looked up at the heavy clouds and was thankful the rain or snow seemed to delay itself for this game, though it did seem as though it would fall at any given second, he was just glad it hadn't decided to fall immediately before turning to the match.

Harry was set to take this match under Malfoy's nose, Andrew along with Ginny sat in the reserve seats watching the match from the side.
After all the formalities and rules were given, the game began. Immediately it was determined that Gryffindor's training had been beneficial as Angelina, Katie and Alicia played to the strategies Wood had hammered into their minds. Harry hovered above the rest of the players eagle eyed, Draco did pretty much the same, while occasionally throwing in the usual insult.
The Slytherins were behind but not by much as the game reached it's ten minute mark, but it was clear to everyone that they were staring to get restless. The game took an outrageously violent turn when two Slytherin chasers forced Katie to fly into the stand foundation throwing her off her broom, she waved off any medical treatment but it was clear that her wrist was totaled. That wasn't the worst play yet as Draco all but hammered Alicia in the face with the beaters bat he had stolen off his team mate, thankfully, that's when Hooch called time.
The Gryffindors flew to their teammate while the Slytherins grinned in satisfaction. It took a while but eventually Andrew and the others managed to calm the twins down, telling them that they could get Draco back with a prank and the pair of damn near evil smirks made everyone sans Alicia; who could barely see, shiver in fright.
"What the hell are we going to do, Wood?!" Angelina asked as she tended to her friend while waiting for Pomfrey to take her into the medical tent.
"I- I don't know. We might have to forfeit the game." he said his jaw set tightly. Hearing these words made the rest of the team freeze.
"The hell did you just say?" Andrew asked with a shocked expression.
"What other choice do we have?!"
The team didn't respond for a bit before Harry saw that damned shit eating grin his brother developed when he thought of something.
"What now?" he thought tiredly.
Harry's eyes widened.
"Are you bloody insane?!" he asked his brother out loud.
"What? What is it?" Wood asked looking between the two boys.
"Put me in the game." Andrew said ignoring Harry and turning to the team captain.
"What?"
"Put me in."
"But Harry's playing seeker this game." Fred stated slowly.
"No he isn't, swap out Katie for Harry and Alicia for me, we'll play Chasers this match."
There was a moment of silence.
"No bloody way." Wood said shaking his head furiously.
"It's like you said; what other choice do you have?! Alicia's out, there's no two ways about that and Katie's wrist is completely stuffed.
"Madam Pomfrey will -" Katie started but didn't get to finish.
"Do you truly think she'll tend to you before she does Alicia? You'll get a numbing potion for the pain and then when she's done with 'Ali', she'll get to you. We can't afford to wait that long." Andrew said turning back to Wood.
"Ali?" asked Katie.
"Alicia's a mouthful." Andrew answered with a lazy wave of his hand as he continued to stare at his captain.
"Who's going to be playing seeker then?" he asked as he realized this made very well be his only option.
Andrew didn't say a word but he did turn to look at their newest member.
Everyone turned to look at Ginny as her eyes went wide with fright.
"Wh- Wait..."
"Andrew, we can't!" Harry argued.
"It's the smartest move!" the dark skinned boy argued. "She's green! The Slytherins won't see her as a threat, if anything they'll target Harry and I, both Potters on the field? They'll think Christmas came early! We're good enough to avoid those bludgers and keep the score ahead while Ginny looks for the snitch."
"What about Malfoy? There's no way in hell he's going to leave Gin alone." Angelina asked slowly getting on board with this plan.
Andrew simply pointed at the Slytherin team who were getting heavily reprimanded by Madam Hooch and they saw her officially state Malfoy's penalty which was a ban for the next five games and fifty points taken from Slytherin house.
"Draco isn't a concern anymore. Guys we can do this." Andrew said with a determined nod.
The rest of the team looked around at one another nervously.
"What about the plays?" George asked.
"We'll just... wing it." Andrew stated with a shrug.
"Wing it?" Wood asked dangerously.
"Yeah, we've played on the same team long enough to at the very least pick up on each others strengths. But actual planning at this point will only make us nervous and thus fragile, just believe in me guys and I promise you it'll all work out."
Before they could respond, Madam Hooch approached the team.
"Two of your players are badly injured, Mister Wood. Is Gryffindor going to forfeit this match?" she asked looking at Wood expectantly.
Oliver looked around at his team and nodded at Andrew.
"No, Ma'am. We will be replacing our Chasers; Katie Bell and Alicia Spinnet with Harry and Andrew Potter, Ginny Weasley will be taking the spot of Seeker." He told her.
With a nod Madam Hooch took to her broom and flew in to the sky just as Pomfrey came to take the two injured away.
"Two of Gryffindor's Chasers have been greatly injured and are unable to continue with the match."
The announcement was met with cheers from the Slytherins and moans and boos from the other houses. Ignoring all of this, Madam Hooch continued.
"When asked about forfeit, the Captain; Oliver Wood had stated that there will be three replacements made to the team."
The cheering and booing stopped as this news sank in with the public, even the Slytherin Quidditch team seemed shocked.
"It has been decided that Andrew and Harry Potter will be replacing the two Chasers and the position of Seeker will be played by Miss Ginny Weasley. As such, the match will continue!"
There was a beat of silence before the cheering once again roared from the crowds and the two teams took to the Sky, Angelina in the middle with Harry flanking on her left and Andrew on the right, Wood was positioned by the hoops while Fred and George took either side of the field with their bats at the ready and Ginny Weasley was slightly above the other players and had view of the entire field.
"Let it be known that Draco Malfoy and Marcus Flint have been banned from this match and as such have been replaced by Blaise Zabini and Robert Thorn respectively. Now let the match... begin!" Madam Hooch shouted as she blew her whistle to signal the restart of the match.
The match was interesting to say the least, Hermione noted with a frown. In beginning the Gryffindor seemed to have the tactical advantage but now... it seemed as if they were just flying around. Slytherin seemed to take advantage of this and managed to score two more times. 170 – 190 to Gryffindor. They were catching up after the third goal, now putting Slytherin one point behind Gryffindor.
Angelina seemed to yell something Andrew and immediately got a response before Andrew turned to yell at Harry and then to Ginny. The other three nodded obviously accepting whatever he had told them to. Hermione frowned and saw Ron do the same.
"What do you think is going on?" he asked.
"Well, I think... Andrew gave them instructions." Hermione said with a frown.
"Why would he do- Oh..." Ron grinned at the field.
"What's going on?" Lavender asked asking the two in front of her.
"Andrew's playing to Slytherins weaknesses." Ron answered.
"What do you mean?" Hermione chimed in.
Ron then explained their summer and how Andrew played against his team. "This should be interesting."
"Hmm, he's quite the analytical thinker. I wonder who else in your little group of friends has the same thought process as him." Parvati said with a slight sing.
Hermione turned to glare at her before turning back to the field and sure enough, it seemed as though they had something up their sleeve as they charged down the field.
"Johnson has the Quaffle and she seems to be charging the Slytherin players, a quick pass to Harry and back to Johnson and oh, she's feinted a throw, and has made it past Thorn. She's quickly approaching the goal hoops but she's blocked by Derrick!" Lee's voice once again boomed over the stadium.
Hermione watched as the two chasers paused for a bit before she grinned and simply dropped the Quaffle. The bushy haired girl blinked in confusion before Andrew passed underneath the two in a blur with the ball in his hands. When the audience noticed this they cheered loudly as Andrew got past the keeper and scored for Gryffindor.
The match continued with more outrageous plays being made by Gryffindor, most working and few failing. Harry and Andrew had a total of 9 goals scored between them and Angelina had scored another 4 bringing the score to 320 – 290 for Gryffindor. She saw Harry turn and yell something to Ginny and the girl took off; weaving in between the players with the Slytherin Seeker following as best he could but it was too late as Ginny raised her fist in the air to reveal the tiny golden ball trapped in her palm.
Madam Hooch blew her whistle signaling the end of the match and Gryffindor's victory. Everyone started cheering but that suddenly changed to shrieks of terror as hordes of Dementors flooded the field. Panic broke out in the stadium and the students rushed to flee while the Quidditch players rushed for the dressing rooms, the Potters with their bloody luck didn't have a chance. The two boys were surrounded instantly and as if that wasn't bad enough the bloody clouds chose that moment to burst and torrents of rain fell on the two boys making them not only cold and wet but now blind as well.
"What do we do?!" Andrew yelled over the thunder.
"Up! We'll try to find a way over them!" Harry responded.
With a nod they took to the sky getting lost in the clouds, but the boys had underestimated the devil creatures as they steadily kept pace with them.
"Shit!" Was all Harry heard before turning and seeing his brother's face inches from one of the Dementors.
"Andrew!" he yelled, but it was too late, the dark skinned boy lost grip of his broom and started hurtling towards the ground.
Harry turned and immediately went after him. He could feel the rain around him turn to sleet as the Dementors continued to chase after him, more than a few times did he feel his face get cut from these icicles but that didn't matter. He was so close to him, he reached out an arm but suddenly felt a jerk as he turned to see the creature grabbing on his broom now.
"Fuck it!" he said to himself loudly, and not even giving it a second thought jumped off his broom and finally reached his brother. But now he had no idea how they were going to stop.
And suddenly he felt them slow down all the adrenaline that burst during the initial chase and his free fall seemed to have taken their effect as Harry gave a slight chuckle before allowing himself to pass out.
I'll be dead honest with you all, I am not a fan of this chapter; very Quidditch heavy, a lot heavier than I was expecting it to be. But it is done, thanks for reading!
Peace, Love and Respect
Zak!
