Last Time on: Black and White
"I don't know, okay? It's all so... blurry. I- What are those things doing to me?" Andrew asked his brother sounding scared.
That within itself scared Harry himself and without a second thought, the boy went over to his brother and pulled him into a close hug.
"I don't know, but I promise you, I'll do everything in my power to help you through this." Harry told his brother. "Whatever you go through, I go through. That's the deal."
Dumbledore canceled the listening charm and headed back to his office to think. This situation with had to be sorted out soon, anymore exposure to the Dementors was something he couldn't risk Andrew going through, he was too close to snapping.
Book 3 – Chapter 10: He's our what?!
Madam Pomfrey finally allowed the boys sweet release after a week cooped up in the Medical Wing. They all but ran out of the room and headed for the common room, when they spoke the password the new portrait Sir Cadogan refused. There was a pause.
"What do you mean, it's wrong?" Andrew asked, his eyes narrowed.
"It's been changed."
"Who changed it?" Harry added.
"Well, I did of course!" Cadogan announced proudly.
"And who did you inform of the change?"
"The Head Boy, of course!"
Andrew groaned. "No, I refuse to go to Percy "PomPom Pompeii" Prefect."
Luckily he didn't have to when they were intercepted by Ginny.
"Harry, Andrew!" she greeted happily as she approached the two boys.
"Hey, could you let us in?" Andrew greeted back with a small smile.
"Oh! Yeah Sure. Onward!" she called out.
"Correct!" Cadogan called happily before swinging open.
"I need to find Hermione, need Hogwarts, a History." Andrew muttered when they entered the common room.
"Why?" Ginny asked curiously.
"I need to know if it's against the rules to set a painting on fire." he answered monotonously.
The youngest Weasley didn't respond as they heard a massive yell. Turning they saw their housemates all clapping and cheering for the two boys, their reactions apparently warranted a picture from Colin who happily snapped a shot of the two.
When the cheering died down they tried pulling the boys into a conversation about what might have happened which the boys all ignored and made their way into their dorm for a great shower before headed down for breakfast.
Today was the scheduled Hogsmeade weekend, as they approached the Great Hall they were cornered by the twins.
"Ah, Andrew and Harry..."
"How are you two?"
"Good, what's up?" Harry asked them.
"Well, it has come to our attention..."
"That Prof McGonagall has refused you access to the greatest..."
"Largest..."
"Most extravagant..."
"Okay..."
"Too far?"
"Just a bit."
"Get to the point!" Andrew shouted glaring at the two boys. The twins were awesome, really they were, but God they loved that finishing each others sentences thing a bit too much.
"Well then. Err well we know how you aren't allowed to go to Hogsmeade and well, we think we may have a solution to your problem." one of them stated.
"Who are you?" Andrew asked pointing to the boy that just spoke while Harry tiredly rubbed his face at his brothers antics.
"George." The boy answered.
"Good now I know who's who... So what is this solution?" he asked curiously.
"Not here; follow us!" Fred spoke as the twins led the boys away to a staircase furthest away from the Great Hall. Once they were sure they were alone they pulled out a parchment and handed it over to the boys who looked at the blank paper critically.
"Are you having a laugh?" Harry asked deadpanned.
"Ah well, this is what makes this little piece of magic so magnificent." George pulled out his wand and tapped it to the parchment. "I solemnly swear that I am up to no good."
Instantly ink started filling the parchment and the boys turned to it curiously.
"Messrs. Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot and Prongs; Purveyors of Aids to Magical Mischief – Makers present the Marauders Map?"
"Who the hell are Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot and Prongs? What the hell is this thing?" Andrew asked with a deep frown.
"This, my dear Andrew is the best thing we have ever found. Open it."
The two boys shared a look before pulling open the large parchment and found every person in the castle being mapped... Like... everyone.
"Oh... My..."
"God!"
"Right? It tracks everyone."
"At every moment."
"All the time."
"This is brilliant!" Harry declared with a beam.
"If not a bit creepy." Andrew added offhandedly.
"Is that Dumbledore?" Harry asked again.
"Yeah, in his office."
"Pacing."
"He does that a lot." the twins informed them.
"Okay, I take it back this is brilliant. So how do we use this to our advantage?" Andrew asked excitedly.
"Well, there are three secret passages out of the castle..."
The twins gave the boys a break down of the secret passages that lead out of the castle and one in particular which lead to the cellar of the Three Broomsticks that they would personally suggest.
"Oh and don't forget; when you're done, tap the parchment with your wand again and say 'Mischief Managed' or anyone can read it." they told the boys.
They watched as the ink started disappearing off the page and they were once again holding a blank piece of parchment.

After lunch and barley containing their excitement, the boys headed over to Flitwick and asked if they could have a day off. The tiny professor considered the request for a moment before smiling at the two boys.
"Alright boys, I don't see why not." he told them with a smile.
Harry and Andrew thanked him profusely before running back up to the Gryffindor common room which was practically empty and grabbing Harry's invisibility cloak. They then made their way to the statue on the fifth floor under the cloak.
"Jesus, this is art?" Andrew asked his brows furrowed in confusion.
Harry ignored him and uttered the password written on the parchment and made their way through the narrow corridor. It was admittedly longer than the boys were expecting but after a short while and a lumos charm, they saw board above them. Slowly pushing it open they saw many various foods and drinks around them. With a quick scan to ensure they were alone they crept out of the corridor and threw the cloak over themselves again.
Moving quickly but carefully they climbed the stairs that lead to a door and carefully opened it and looked through seeing a sweets store filled to the brim with students. Zonko's it was the store, they remembered Ron telling them about. Speaking of their ginger buddy, they figured it was time to go look for them.
Slowly navigating through the crowd they made their way out of the shop and were instantly accosted by the winter winds. Apparently while they were in the Hospital wing it had snowed quite a bit judging by the crunch their feet made as they walked through the tiny village.
"Any ideas where they could be?" Andrew asked Harry after the latter had removed the cloak and shoved it in a carry bag he had been smart enough to think about.
"I remember Ron telling me that they were going to see the Shrieking Shack today." Harry said with a shrug.
"Think they're still there?"
"Only one way to find out." Harry answered with a shrug. With that the two boys went up to a local and asked them about the location and were on their way.

"It's quite a sight isn't it?" Hermione asked looking at the Shack.
"Yeah, it is." Ron answered sneaking a glace at the girl beside him.
The imposing looking shack was set on a hill over looking the forest below, covered in white with the near black wood peaking from beneath, it was a breath taking sight to behold.
"Would you like to get closer?" Hermione asked while turning to Ron.
"I- What?!" he squeaked.
"To the shack." Hermione clarified with a small laugh.
"Oh, uh, no I'm good here, you know. Not that I'm scared but, with our luck, I'd rather not take the risk, y'know?" Ron answered with a small laugh.
Hermione chuckled a bit. "Fact." she stated with a small nod, unknowingly copying Andrew's phrase.
"Hmm, scouting for a new home for you and your herd, Weasley? This place seems a little out of your price range doesn't it?" Draco said, seemingly appearing out of nowhere with his two bodyguards.
"Shut up, Malfoy." Hermione said shooting the boy a glare. "Was you're date with Pansy so boring you felt the need to come bother us?" she added with a raised brow.
"Shut up! You're leader and bodyguard aren't here so you'd better watch your mouth, you stupid little mudblood!"
Thwack!
Everyone paused before two more snowballs attacked the boy. That wasn't all though; Crabbe and Goyle's pants were pulled down, Draco had his feet frozen to the snow and even more snowballs attacked the boys. It didn't take long before the three boys ran off while cursing the two Gryffindors left behind.
Andrew and Harry revealed themselves while laughing hysterically, Ron and Hermione joined them. After calming down a bit the two asked the brothers how they had managed to get to the village thus a rather lengthy explanation involving more than a few interruptions from their resident bookworm. When they were done they found themselves in the middle of the village. When they saw someone they knew.
"Is that, Minister Fudge?" Harry asked his brows furrowed.
The others turned and saw the man getting out of a carriage and greeting a barmaid happily.
"That's Madam Rosemerta." Hermione added with a small smirk. "Ron fancies her." she said with a grin.
"Ah, Madam Rosemerta! How's business?"
"Not great, what with your dementors chasing away my customers!" she said with a scowl.
"Oh, come now Rose, you know we must do everything we can to stop Black." The minister added quietly.
"Yes, yes Sirius Black. Why would he be terrorizing this little village?" she asked with a raised brow.
"The Potters." he whispered quietly.
"The Potters?"
"Shhh! Come I'll explain inside."
A second later Hermione and Ron looked around and saw Andrew but a missing Harry.
"Where's Harry?"
"That should be obvious." Andrew replied nodding to the building.
The two chased after him but found themselves turned away before they turned to Andrew.
"Why didn't you stop him?" they asked with a frown.
"Oh please, like you aren't interested." Andrew responded before walking to stand beside the building and leaning against the wall with his eyes closed.
After a bit the other two joined him and waited for Harry.
"Wotcher! What are you guys doing here?" they heard.
Looking up they saw Tonks with her friends smiling at them. The two Gryffindors turned to Andrew.
"We heard something, Harry's investigating. We're waiting on the result." he answered honestly shooting the girl a knowing look.
"Oh, err. Guys, do you mind if I catch up with you later?" she asked turning to her two friends.
The other two Hufflepuff's were a bit confused by this but agreed none the less and Tonks joined the younger teens next to the building.
After about thirty minutes Andrew's eyes snapped open and his breath became rather erratic before the front door slammed open. They saw foot prints marching away from the snow violently pushing aside various patrons and even a Christmas choir. In a flash Andrew was behind it and he was quickly followed by Ron, Tonks and Hermione.
Harry headed back to where they had found Ron and Hermione and sat on a rock nearby Andrew simply stood staring at the scenery though anyone could see that he was only looking and not really taking anything in.
"Harry?" Tonks whispered as she came closer and removed the cloak from the boy, revealing his face wet with tears. "Harry, what happened?" Hermione stood a small way away shocked by this.
"They trusted him." he said simply. "They trusted him and he betrayed them!" he yelled angrily. "Andrew!" he turned to his brother, his face twisted in rage.
"I know... we'll get that son of a bitch. I promise you." his voice was quiet, cold and utterly devoid of emotion which sent shivers through the spines of the others.
"Harry what are you thinking?" Tonks asked with a scared look.
"Why wait for him when we can go to him?" he answered shortly.
"Harry no! Don't be stupid." Tonks scolded.
"He got them killed! If it wasn't for him, mum and dad..."
Tonks reacted instantly and wrapped her arms around the boys frame holding him closely. "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry." the seventh year whispered as she ran her fingers through his hair comfortingly.
Harry let out a small sob before grabbing the girls clothes and pulling her closer and crying into her shoulder, not caring whether his friends saw him or not.
Tonks turned to Andrew and was concerned to see the boy's eyes looking completely devoid of any emotion. She turned to Hermione hoping to catch the girl's eye and when she did she nodded over to the second Potter. Nodding Hermione moved in.
"Andrew? How are you feeling?" she asked as she slowly approached.
"Absolutely peachy." he responded sarcastically.
"Andrew, please..."
"Look, I'm sorry okay but could you just... leave me alone for a bit." he asked before turning away from her and walked away.
Once Harry had calmed down, he thanked Tonks who told him that she'd always be there for him if he ever needed her. They checked the time and saw that they had to head back to the castle. Not saying much, the group separated and made their respective ways back to the castle.
Andrew and Harry's trip was deathly quiet. Neither one said anything as they trekked through the tunnel each lost in their own world. When they eventually arrived at the statue and took out the map to have one last look; they didn't see anyone around and moved out into the hallway after deactivating the map they made their way to the common room; the news revealed today a bit much for them.
The next day their anger and anxiety had dwindled away and they were now left with a cold sense of realization: the man that had killed their parents, now wanted to kill them – shit.
Thanking the stars that it was Sunday and thus another day off from classes (honestly Andrew knew he would've cursed Snape if he had to deal with him today) the two boys went down to the Great Hall and joined their other friends.
"Hey, are you two okay?" Hermione asked as they dished up their lunches.
"Yeah, you skipped supper last night." Ron added worriedly.
"We're okay, just a lot to take in, you know?" Harry answered with a small smile.
Nodding, Ron and Hermione accepted the response. Harry continued to eat and looked up to see Tonks at the Ravenclaw table shooting him a questioning look. He smiled and nodded his head at her while she smiled back happily.
"What say, we go visit Hagrid? I don't think we've seen much of him this year." Andrew said with a small frown.
The other three agreed and after breakfast the four made their way down to the large man's cottage only to find it empty. Figuring that he was out they headed back to the castle, remembering that they had some work to get finished.

Screeching, screaming and shouting.
That's what greeted the four Gryffindor's as they entered the common room, which by the way was a complete mess. Papers and quills sprawled about, people standing on the tables and chairs, Sacbbers running for his life as Crookshanks nipped at his tail.
"Scabbers!" Ron screamed reaching for his rat.
"Crookshanks!" Hermione yelled as she scooped her half kneazle off of the ground.
"Bloody hell Hermione! Do something about that bloody cat! He scared Scabbers half to death!" Ron yelled angrily.
"Well maybe if you had locked Scabbers away properly this wouldn't have happened!" Hermione yelled back just as angrily.
Andrew and Harry shared a tired look, they had been doing so well distracting those two from fighting, now though they had to listen to the two of them go at it.
"That bloody cat is a menace! Why the hell did you have to choose that! And why did none of you try and save Sacbbers?!" Ron asked looking at the rest of the house.
"I mean... grabbing a rat in and of itself is bloody disgusting so..." Andrew muttered with a small shrug.
"I chose Crookshanks because I wanted to! Why don't you let that ruddy thing just die already?! Keeping it alive this long is nothing more that unneeded torture!" Hermione clapped back.
"Okay, well, I'm going to get started." Andrew said knowing that they'd ignore him.
"Yeah me too." Harry said as he too left the room to get his study material.

After about three hours – an hour and a half dedicated to Ron and Hermione arguing, the four finally finished their work and decided to go check on Hagrid one more time before supper. Ron went up stairs and double checked to ensure that Scabbers was properly locked away before joining the others.
They went down to the hut again and found it open but no one home, as they turned to leave they heard the sound of splashing water. "Maybe we'll get lucky and someone's skinny dipping." Andrew joked, which earned him a disgusted scoff and slap across the chest from Hermione.
As they approached the sound they found Hagrid throwing rocks into the lake like they were pebbles.
"Hey Hagrid, how are you?" Harry asked as he took a seat on a nearby boulder before he was joined by Hermione. Ron and Andrew looked at the water before turning to Hagrid.
"Oh, hullo you lot. I uh... I just came from the Ministry." he told them.
"The ministry, what for?" Ron asked with a furrowed brow.
Sniff. "Well, it had to do with Buckbeak." Sniff.
"What about Buckbeak?" Andrew asked, his stomach dropping.
"Well, it would seem, that some of the students wrote their parents about the incident that happened in the beginning of this year, with ol' Beaky."
"Oh no... you aren't fired, are you?" Ron asked sadly.
"No, no I'm not fired." Sniff. "Dear Lucius Malfoy called Buckbeak a threat to the students, and since he had already attacked a student, it wouldn't be long before he did it again."
"That twat, he didn't." Andrew stated.
"Andrew! Oh my God!" Hermione cried out in exasperation.
Hagrid simply chuckled. "Well, Buckbeak's been sentenced to death." the large man said before he broke down in loud sobs.
Andrew turned to Hermione, his face serious. "See, he's a twat."
Hey all! So yeah, kinda short but this chapter had nowhere else to go after everything that happened in it.
I figured a Remus/Harry/Andrew bonding moment is long overdue. Look forward to that next!
Thanks for reading!
