Last Time on Black and White Book 4:

Ginny shook her head before turning and walking into her compartment and found something else that made her blink in confusion.

Su sat opposite Luna, her legs crossed mimicking her arms as she gave the little blonde a harsh look. Luna on the other hand sat with her hands in her lap and refusing to make eye contact with the ruthless, raven head in front of her.

"What the hell's going on today?" Ginny asked herself as she frowned at the scene.

Book 4 – Chapter 5: Crazy Start to the Year

Once they arrived in Hogsmeade, Harry and the others boarded a Carriage quickly and made their way to the castle while discussing what they believed the massive secret at school was going to be that year. Hermione shot Andrew a look as though she were worried about him, he didn't say much, and looked truly bothered by something.

Once they exited the carriage and made their way inside they all took their seats and waited for the yearly sorting to begin. Harry and Ron were still in discussions about what they believed the year would hold, while Hermione turned her attention to her closest best friend.

"Okay, what's going on?" she asked.

"Hmm? Oh well, we're sitting in the great hall waiting to eat, but we have to wait till till the first years finish getting sorted and honestly, I'm quite annoyed." Andrew replied while sighed.

"Mhmm, come on Andy, I know something's bothering you."

Andrew seemed to pause for a moment. "It's nothing. Just you know, stupid shit."

Hermione seemed like she wanted to scold him for his language but chose to move on.

"You know you can talk to me about anything, right?" she asked with a slight concerned look.

"Of course I know and when I need to, I'll come talk to you." Andrew told her with a smile.

"Pinky Promise?"

Andrew smiled before wrapping his finger around hers. "Pinky Promise."

Just then the door to the Great Hall opened and in came McGonagall along with bright eyed first years.

"Finally." they heard Ron say, "I'm starving."

"You're always hungry, Ronald." Hermione said while rolling her eyes.

The sorting happened as it usually did every year and it came time for Dumbledore to address the students.

"Welcome, one and all to another year at Hogwarts. I have a few announcements to make before the feast. Firstly, Mr Filch has requested that I inform the students to the boards in the common rooms outlining the banned products that are not allowed in school. Secondly, please note the Dark Forest is forbidden for all students, and as such should not be entered."

"Not that it's ever stopped people before." Andrew muttered, causing those around him to chuckle a bit.

"Now I have a very special announcement to make, I believe the first portion will not be taken quite happily; Quidditch has been suspended for the year, as such there will be no try-outs, practice or matches taking place this year."

As he suspected, the student body went absolutely mental.

"Now now, the reason there will be no Quidditch this year is due to a very special event taking place this year; The Triwizard Tournament."

"You're kidding!" came a yell from the Gryffindor side of the hall where the students could see Fred standing, looking absolutely excited.

Dumbledore chuckled. "No, I am not, though I do know a joke about a Troll, House Elf and Dragon... hmm let's see. Ah yes, a troll enters a tavern-"

"Headmaster, I don't believe that would be appropriate at the current moment." said his Deputy Headmistresses.

"Ah, of course. In any case, regarding the Tournament; we will be getting visitors from two other schools. Our friends from France and Bulgaria will be joining us in competing for Eternal Glory as well as 1000 galleons in gold." this announcement brought a whole new wave of excited murmurs from the students.

"Also so that we may protect you younger students out there, you will have to be 17 years old to enter the tournament." And this was met by loud groans and shouts of protests from multiple students the loudest offenders being the Weasley twins.

Andrew honestly could not care less about this announcement, he wanted nothing more than to eat and head back to the dorms so that he could start the day tomorrow in a relatively normal mood. Though he could feel his brothers excitement at the prospect of this tournament as he and Ron discussed how "wicked" it would be to be in the tournament.

"Now then our final announcement is the introduction of the new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher; Alistor Moody." with that the scarred man stood from his place at the table as several students seemed disturbed by his appearance.

"Holy hell, that's Mad-Eye Moody." Ron whispered to his friends.

"Mad-Eye?" Hermione asked with a frown.

"Yeah, according to dad, he was one of the heavy hitters during the war against You-Know-Who and then became one of the most vicious Aurors in the Department of Magical Law Enforcement. I thought he was retired though."

Harry jumped in. "I think he's got a training job now, Tonks mentioned that he was her mentor at the Auror training site."

"You're still in touch with Tonks?" Andrew asked with a raised brow.

Harry paused for a moment.

"Aren't you?"

"I figured with the training and everything, she wouldn't have time to respond to letters, I heard it's a hell hole going through that training." Andrew finished with a shrug.

Dumbledore's voice washed over them once again, causing the students to fall quiet.

"Now I do believe that is everything, so please enjoy your supper."

"Finally." Ron and Andrew said at the same time, before digging into the food that appeared before them.

The next day was quite normal, for Andrew and the gang. They woke up, went to breakfast, got their class schedules and went on about their day. Nothing too strange, the occasional insult from the Slytherins and friendly hellos from the Hufflepuffs.

As they made their way to Potions, they ran into Malfoy.

"Hey Potter-"

"Shut up, Malfoy. It's too early. Honestly, like just relax. Okay?" Andrew said interrupting the boy and pushing past him.

"Don't you turn your back on me, Potter!" he yelled out angrily as he pulled his wand.

Hermione turned to say something and was shocked when a spell hit her in the face. The others turned quickly to find Draco laughing happily as he twirled his wand and their friend holding her face.

"I warned you." was all Andrew said before he too pulled his wand. "Expelliarmus, Depulso, Incendio!"

Malfoy stopped laughing and was shocked at the speed the spells approached him, he was hit in the chest by the disarming spell, blasted away and before he knew what was happening, felt a surge of heat all around him. He screamed in shock and horror for a moment before the flames died down and he lay on the ground, staring up at the face of their Potions Professor.

"Sir, Potter tried to kill me!" he screamed out in anger.

"I saw that, Mister Malfoy, no need to raise your voice. As for you, Potter I shall see you expelled for not only dueling in the hallway but also the damaging of another student's robes and attempted murder." Snape said sneering at the dark skinned boy.

"But sir, Malfoy attacked first. He attacked Hermione." Harry said as he too had his wand drawn.

Looking over at said girl, Snape, noticed her front teeth had doubled in size and were continuing to grow. She looked on the edge of hysterics.

"I don't see a difference." he responded coolly causing Hermione to break down crying and while the Slytherins chuckled at her.

"Ron take her to Madam Pomfrey, please." Andrew said glaring dangerously at the Professor.

"You will do nothing, Weasley." Snape said making the boy freeze for a moment.

"Ron, go. Don't worry about Snape, if anything, we'll just tell Dumbledore what happened." Harry jumped in, also glaring at Snape. That snapped the red head out of it as he pulled Hermione to her feet and pulled her along out of the dungeons and up to Pomfrey's care.

"You dare defy me?" Snape sneered at the boy in front of him, who was swiftly joined by his brother.

"You put the life of one of our own in jeopardy. I hope you're ready to pay the price." Harry growled at the blond prick, completely ignoring his potions master.

"Detention to both of you for threatening a student and 300 points for dueling in the hallway."

"Doesn't matter now, does it. I hope you're ready Malfoy, cause hell is coming and it's got you on it's mind." Andrew said with a sinister smile before turning and walking away from the group, followed by his brother.

After all the drama, Harry and the others sans Hermione headed down to Care of Magical Creatures, where Hagrid happily welcomed the the class.

"I've got a beaut for all of ya." He said happily as he lead the class to a very large crate near his hut.

Curiously they peaked in and saw the ugliest things they had ever had the misfortune of seeing. Just... wrong looking creatures, that had absolutely no face, a weird tiny, mouth thing and a stinger on the end of it.

"What on God's earth is that abomination?!" Andrew asked with shock and horror written on his face.

"It's a Screwt!" Hagrid answered happily ignoring the classes looks of disgust.

"Okay... uh-huh... and just what are we doing with these... Screwts?"

"Well, they too young to do anything but walk at this point." Hagrid responded. Just then one of the Screwts let out a tiny scream, followed by what could only be described a tiny explosion and rocketed forwards about one meter.

"Hagrid? What was that?" Harry asked.

"Oh they do that. Nothing to worry yourselves with." the large man said with a happy smile.

"This oaf is going to get us killed." Andrew heard someone mutter behind him. While he didn't appreciate the insult directed at his largest friend, he had to admit, it seemed as though Hagrid was putting them through something that could very well kill them.

The large man didn't want to hear any of the objections and simply handed out leashes out to the students and paired them up with someone from a different house.

Ron didn't look too happy working with Blaise Zabini, and Harry was paired with Susan Bones and judging by the rosy blush on her face she seemed to be crushing on him, or maybe she just had a naturally rosy face? Andrew didn't really care and turned to his partner.

"Ah, Daphne Greengrass. How lovely." he said.

"Potter." the cool girl greeted back.

"Shall we?" he asked as he held up the leash.

"Let's." she responded easily.

The rest of the time was spent peacefully walking the Screwts.

That was a lie, students yelled in shock as their own little abominations gave an all mighty screech before propelling themselves forwards dragging the students holding the leashes along with them. Andrew was a victim of one of these screech and drags. Greengrass seemed to have enjoyed seeing him eat it as she could be seen smirking at his angry retorts at the strange creature.

Once they were allowed to leave, the next lesson was of course Transfiguration, something Andrew wasn't too excited about.

Entering the classroom he took his seat and proceeded to wait for the rest of the students to settle down while McGonagall scratched away at the board with a piece of chalk.

Then he saw her; Su, sit down beside him, he said nothing to her choosing to honor her request then to demand answers. The air instantly felt thicker as neither of the two would address the other. The lesson commenced with no words spoken between the two of them and once the lesson ended they went about their separate ways. Andrew turned to once again find her walking down the hallway alone. He frowned at this but filed it away for a different time.

Once he made it back to the common room to swap out his books for the next lesson he found Hedwig sitting on Harry's bed calmly.

"Hey pretty bird, where's your sister?" he asked while scratching the owls head.

Hedwig reveled in the attention and hooted at him. Andrew smiled at her before going to his trunk and pulling out his Charms and Ancient Runes texts.

"Well when you see her, tell her I miss her." he told the snowy owl before headed out.

Harry was on his way to Charms class when he heard something odd.

"... you don't belong in Ravenclaw, you weirdo."

"What's your reasoning for that?"

"You're a freak. That's my reasoning."

"Well, I would argue your reasoning isn't valid, seeing as how the sorting hat told me I belonged here."

"Well, I guess even magical items can make mistakes."

Harry then heard what sounded like a shove and someone colliding with the wall. He acted quickly and turned the corner to see the small blonde girl Andrew had taken a liking to and some other girls from her house.

He walked up to them.

"Is there a problem here?" he asked cooly.

The girls froze when they heard his voice and turned to see Harry standing there glaring at them.

"No, no problem, right Loony?"

The small girl pushed herself away from the wall and looked at the raven haired boy with a smile.

"Nothing out of the ordinary, Harry Potter." she responded airily.

"Well what class do you have next?" he asked her.

"I'm on my way to Defense Against the Dark Arts."

"What a coincidence, I'm headed in that direction. Would you like me to accompany you?" he asked nicely.

"That would be lovely, thank you." she said happily while picking up her books from the ground.

"Don't you have somewhere to be?" he asked sharply, staring at the other girls.

They seemed to unhappy about being told what to do, but didn't voice their thoughts and simply huffed before walking away.

As Harry watched them leave the blonde girl stood up.

"Thank you for your help, Harry Potter." she said happily.

"Just Harry is fine. I'm sorry, I know you're a friend of my brother Andrew, but I can't remember your name."

"It's Luna, Luna Lovegood." she told him with a little skip.

"Well it's nice to officially meet you again, Luna."

"You as well Harry."

"So, what's the story with those girls back there?" he asked.

"Oh, they aren't happy since I told them that Wrackspruts were flying around them. They tend to make people go crazy, you know?" she informed him matter-of-factly.

Harry tried his best to not let the confusion of her statement show on his face.

"Oh really? Well, I should make sure to avoid them in the future."

"Hmm, I don't know. Some things are impossible to avoid after all."

Harry turned to her.

"And why would you say that?"

"Just a feeling." she told him with a small shrug. "Well, I'm headed this way. Thank you for walking with me, Harry."

"No problem, Luna." he responded with a smile as he watched her skip off towards her class and he hastened his steps so that he wouldn't be late to class.

Charms class came to an end and the Potter boys were given a separate schedule for their extra lessons with Flitwick. On their way from the Hospital Wing to collect Hermione and their journey to the common room Ron wouldn't stop talking about the Tri-wizard Tournament.

"Can you imagine? Eternal Glory and a thousand Galleons, that would be wicked." the red head said enthusiastically.

"I mean, the money sure, but Eternal Glory? Come on." Andrew commented offhandedly.

"It sounds like it would be kind of fun though." Harry added with a shrug.

"Except all the deaths that have happened over the course of the Tournaments." Hermione chimed in.

"Exactly, more people have died than succeeded. Personally, I wouldn't want to do it." Andrew said agreeing with Hermione.

"That's fine, you guys can cheer for Harry and I on the side then." Ron said with a massive grin.

"Ronald! You aren't actually thinking of somehow getting your name in there are you? You know you're mother would kill-"

"No, I'm going to enter, Hermione. Besides, Dumbledore's sure to do something so no under seventeens could enter, even if they wanted."

The others agreed with that logic and entered the common room. They began working on their work for the day.

Harry and Ron soon packed up and left to go to Divinations before Hermione headed off to Arithmancy Andrew grabbed her arm, asking her if she was alright from the attack earlier. Smiling she showed him her straight teeth and commented that while she would never thank Malfoy for what he did, he had given her an excuse to magically correct her buck teeth.

"Well, if it's any consolation I think you look beautiful regardless of how your teeth look." he told her with a small smile.

Hermione smiled back and ducked her head before looking at the time.

"I've really got to go, but thanks, it- it means a lot that you said that." she told him before giving him a small kiss on the cheek. She had missed the eagle eyed Lavender and Pavarti observing the pair a little distance away.

Andrew waved at her as she left the common room and stood, stretching his back. He then realized he hadn't visited his Slyther-friend in a while. He hated himself for the word play but headed out of Gryffindor tower anyway.

"Hmm, I suppose I could go... I wonder if they're there." He thought out loud.

He headed down to the second floor and found the portrait. Soon he was in the cozy private library and went on to find something to keep himself occupied.

"Potter." he heard from behind him.

"Don't do that." he said as he pocketed his wand and went back to his search.

"Sorry."

Andrew froze.

"What did you say?"

"... I said I was sorry?"

"Why?"

"What do you mean, why?"

"It's just- you never apologize, even when you're unforgivably wrong." Andrew said with a confused look.

"Shut up! I was trying to be nice!"

"Well don't, it's weird and it doesn't suit you." Andrew stated as he turned to search for a book.

"Am I really that despicable? That even the request of being forgiven is impossible?"

Andrew paused again. What the hot hell was happening?

"Listen... it's not that. You're just... so proud, it doesn't feel right having you apologize for something that wasn't malicious at all."

"Hmm."

"Now come on, let's find something to read." he suggested. "Oh by the way, have you gone to Defense yet?" he asked.

"..."

"..."

"Are you serious?"

"I mean... yeah?"

"Potter, I'm in your class. Have been since first year."

"What? Really?"

There was a minute of silence.

"You haven't answered my question." Andrew stated.

"No! We're going to Defense tomorrow, last period!" they stated hotly, but with a hint of a smile playing on their lips.

"Thank you, was that so hard?" he responded before pulling a book out and reading the spine and freezing.

Harry and Andrew: The misadventures of the Potter Boys.

Vol 1.

"What the fuck is this?" he asked angrily.

"What do you mean? Its a book of your adventures."

Andrew looked up at them quickly. "And this stuff is... factual?"

"I mean I don't know, only you know the answer to that but I can tell you most wizarding children grew up with that." they stated.

"This is so wrong on so many levels." Andrew muttered as he pulled open the book.

"You're still going to read it?" they asked in confusion.

That gave Andrew a pause. "Why did I skip over that section in the law books?! Listen, I'm going to the Library I'll catch you around!" Andrew shouted as he charged out of the room, leaving the Slytherin alone and confused.

Hey all, so fun fact about this chapter!

I almost messed up and revealed Andrew's secret friend way too early! But don't worry you won't be getting an answer for a long while on that topic! So you can relax.

Now back to the regularly scheduled programming.
