Last time on Black and White:

"But that's besides the point; just because someone is in a position of power does not mean we shouldn't criticize them, that just makes them act worse." Harry said finishing his brother's though process.

Hermione paused at that and really thought about it. She looked over at the boys and turned away walking to her next class.

The boys watched her walk away in various states of confusion.

"Did we say something wrong?" Ron asked looking at the others confused.

Book 4 – Chapter 15: The Bold and the Beautiful

Hermione's sudden departure caused the boys to look among themselves with varying amounts of worry.

"I don't know. Probably something to do with what we were saying about teachers?" Neville said with a small shrug.

"Speaking of, we should get to our next class." Andrew said urging the others on.

"True. What do we have next anyway?"

"Care." Ron answered with a small sigh.

"Ah, Hagrid. Bloody Screwts." Andrew muttered angrily before they headed towards the staircase which lead them to the first floor.

HP-AP-HP-AP-HP-AP-HP

Andrew walked along the corridor after the Care of Magical Creatures and was happy that he had a free period. He decided to head to the common room to see if he could maybe speak to Hermione about what happened that morning.

As he landed on the fifth floor he was suddenly face to face with Su and had to grab her shoulders to ensure they didn't land up on the floor in a heap of limbs or worse fall backwards over the now vacant staircase, which would have lead to a messy situation.

"Andrew! There you are!" she said happily.

"Su, were you looking for me?"

"Yeah, I've gotten a response from my mother. She said that she'd be happy to meet you tonight in Flitwick's office." Su informed him happily.

"That's great, oh thank you!" Harry said hugging the girl in front of him. "Does Flitwick know?"

Nodding excitedly Su spoke once more. "I told him this morning at breakfast and he said it's okay."

"Brilliant. Thank you." Andrew said with a smile.

There was a moment of nothing, as the two simply stood and looked into each others eyes.

"I believe you." Su stated suddenly.

"Sorry?"

"About the Tournament. I believe that you didn't put you name in."

Andrew smiled at the girl once more. "Thank you, it means a lot."

"And it isn't just me either! Luna and Padma Patil believe you as well."

"Patil, Parvati's sister. Great, will you let them know that I'm grateful for their support?"

"I will."

"Alright, then I suppose, I'll see you tonight then?"

With a nod Su headed off and Andrew watched her go with a small smile pulling at his lips. At least he wasn't ostracized by everyone. Though judging by the glares that the Hufflepuff's shot him he assumed they were still upset about the whole ordeal.

Sighing he continued on his way to the common room as Andrew got to the seventh floor he came face to face once more with a few faces he wasn't happy to see.

"What do you want, McLaggen?"

In front of him stood the large 5th year boy as well as Seamus and a boy from third year who looked rather uncomfortable. Andrew assumed he wasn't completely convinced on whatever plan McLaggen had thought up.

"Nothing much, just to give you some advice."

Andrew resisted the urge to groan in the boys' faces. He really had better things to do and this was cutting into that time.

"What advice?"

"Cheater's never prosper."

Before Andrew could properly process what had been said, he saw the ceiling, then he felt the steps of the moving staircase slam into his spine and then back of his head slamming onto one of the steps, then darkness.

Hermione had been on auto-pilot taking notes and not really paying attention in class. She had been considering what the boys had been talking about that morning. About how teachers weren't above scrutiny simply based on their positions, but that couldn't be true. Hermione's mind refused the notion. Teachers were there not only to impart wisdom, but to uphold rules and regulations, to disrespect teachers is to disrespect the rules, and without rules, there would only be chaos.

But teacher's must be impartial and fair, Snape is neither. A small voice in the back of her mind reminded.

Of course he is. He treats students who disobey the rules harshly and those who are good fairly.

Oh, so that explains why Malfoy has never gotten any sort of punishment in his class before, regardless of his obvious bullying and sabotaging of other student's potions. The voice spoke up once more.

Hermione paused at that thought. She thought back over the past four years and frowned when she couldn't remember ever seeing Malfoy get punished by Professor Snape. Maybe he just didn't see Malfoy being his disruptive self?

But he somehow always manages to catch one of the Gryffindors doing something they shouldn't be doing? Seems a little too convenient, doesn't it?

Hermione once again frowned, but teachers were rule oriented, they were there to help students, not to hinder them.

And yet, he does that very thing. What has he taught you? Like actually taught you that you didn't read about in a text that helped? Did he explain why you should alternate your stirs between anti and clockwise? Did he teach you how to properly prepare your ingredients? Why do most potions outside of the Slytherins and your own usually go wrong? Especially Neville's?

Neville doesn't have the aptitude for it...

But every single potion of his explodes in someway or another, why is that?

Improperly cleaned cauldron. Hermione realized with wide eyes, Neville's previous potions residue were affecting his current potions. She had to let the other Gryffindors know about cleaning their cauldron before Professor Snape appeared so that it wouldn't affect their current potion. She couldn't believe she hadn't thought of that.

And yet, it should not be your responsibility to inform your fellow students of common potioning standards, that should be the responsibility of your instructor.

Hermione paused once more and realized that the voice was right. She shouldn't be responsible for them knowing this, Professor Snape should have informed them. But other than that he wasn't a horrible person, like Lockhart, who Andrew had accused of... disgusting acts.

Your teeth after Malfoy attacked you.

Hermione blinked.

He didn't do anything then and he actually saw the effect of the spell, if Andrew hadn't told Neville to get you to Pomfrey when he did, who knew what could have happened.

She gritted her teeth in residual anger at the reminder. Malfoy should have been punished for that, regardless if Andrew, Harry and Ron had fired back. He initiated it.

He did. The voice agreed.

And Snape just let him get away with it.

He did.

That... That...!

Yes?

Absolute bastard!

Exactly.

Ron and Harry sat in their Divination class writing a whole parchment of crap for their rather eccentric and possibly inebriated professor. Lavender and Parvati sat in their gossip corner talking in hushed whispers, Lavender occasionally shooting Harry a worried look, that the boy did not miss at all.

He was saved by Trelawney approaching the two girls.

"Now ladies, bone throwing is a serious practice used by African Shaman for generations, some even argue that it is earliest form of Divination. Now you two are my favorite students..."

"Pretty sure, you aren't allowed to say that." Harry muttered with a raised eyebrow while Ron chuckled.

"So I hope you are taking this seriously." the teacher said seriously.

"Yes, Ma'am we are, it's just..." Lavender hesitated while looking over at Harry once more.

"What is it child?" Trelawney asked seeing the normally outspoken Lavender look so reserved.

She simply pointed down to her bones and Harry watched as their teacher and Lavender exchange a few words before they stopped and turn to look at Harry simultaneously.

"Mr Potter, I would recommend you head down to the Hospital Wing immediately." she told him looking completely lucid.

"Ma'am?"

"There is no time, I cannot stress enough the need for you to be in the Hospital Wing now! Mr Weasley, I believe you may go as well." she said before standing straight and walking around the room again.

Sharing a look of confusion. Harry and Ron packed their stationary and left the room. Once they were on the main landing they looked around.

"What do you suppose we should do?" Ron asked in a confused tone.

"I guess, we should go to the Infirmary. Just in case?" Harry said with a shrug.

The two walked in the direction of the Hospital Wing both wondering just what was going on.

Black. Pure, horrifying darkness. Andrew woke with a start and found himself sitting on a bed. He looked around in shock wondering just where the hell he was. Nothing seemed to be recognizable he had no idea where he was or what was happening.

"You have awoken."

Turning to the voice he saw someone he knew, someone he recognized, but not through school but rather his dreams. Tabitha Grey.

"Where am I?" he asked wondering if he'd suddenly lost his mind.

"A place and time outside of that which you know. A place where those who have suffered are brought." she answered cryptically.

"Wait, am I dead?!"

"Death has yet to claim you, my descendant. Your heart still beats outside of this realm."

"Then where am I?" Andrew asked again, quickly losing his temper.

Tabitha sighed. "I see you have the ring." she said changing the topic.

Andrew said nothing, simply watching her.

"It was made by our forefathers' forged in the heat of a volcano on the night of the summer solstice, an heirloom, updated whenever a Grey places it upon their finger."

"Updated how?" Andrew asked seeing that she wouldn't answer his previous question.

"That I do not know. It is magicks I have not seen nor heard of before. All I know is that it shows the history of our family. I am glad that I managed to pass it on to my son before I..." Tabitha stopped and blinked her eyes.

Andrew suspected she was stopping herself from becoming too emotional.

"Which story were you shown?" she asked.

Andrew figured that this was a dream, that was the only logical answer, as such he saw no reason to stop himself from answering.

"Yours. I saw your childhood, the death of your mother, your father claiming revenge and your battle with the Hag."

"Ah, so you saw first hand my mistake. My foolish folly, I should have simply ended her, instead I wanted her last moments to be painful, I wanted her to fell the collective pain of all of the children and parents she had hurt. Instead, I ended up dooming our entire family to a curse."

"What is this curse exactly?" Andrew asked.

"It induces a great anger, for all who have been affected it is different. For me it was the lack of battle that induced my rage. I sought to become a powerful fighter and protect innocents, but ended up becoming the very thing I vowed to destroy, all for the taste of war. I gathered a following, challenged heroes from all over, not once thinking of my family or how it would affect them. Seeing you has given me some hope though, it means that our family lived on." she finished with a small smile.

"Were you the only one who was effected by this curse?"

"No, I have met many before you, my own Grandson was one." she stated, her sadness obvious on her face.

"How many have there been? How many affected by this curse?"

"Too many to count." she answered looking out of the window. "It is a pleasant day, would you like to go outside?"

Andrew blinked at the sudden topic change but agreed to accompany her nonetheless. Once he shed the bed sheets he noticed how heavy his head felt, rubbing his temples he stood and swayed slightly before following Tabitha out of the room.

She led him to a tree and helped him sit as he still felt his head feel extremely heavy. They sat in silence for a moment before Andrew had a thought.

"So wait, you didn't explain what this place is, exactly."

Tabitha looked up at the bright blue sky. "My domain, as the first to corrupt the magic in the ring, I have sworn myself to this realm."

"What about your family?"

"They would be happy with this, I would only be an embarrassment for them."

Andrew frowned slightly. He looked at her again and spoke. "You don't know that for sure unless you join them, personally I believe they miss you more than you could possibly fathom."

"And what makes you so sure?" she challenged, her voice soft.

"We're family, right? Meaning that we share the same blood. I've only been here for like an hour and I miss Harry – my brother – like crazy." Andrew told her simply.

She turned to look at him and smile. Andrew never noticed it but she was a very pretty woman. Long dark hair, dark complexion and a pair of golden brown eyes. Andrew had to admit, he's ancestor was hot, thankfully her looks transferred down the line.

"Your brother; Harry, he is very lucky." she told him with a smile.

"Yeah he is." Andrew answered smugly causing Tabitha to laugh once more.

Andrew noticed the sky darkening. He frowned.

"Is it going to rain?" he asked frowning.

"No, I believe it is time for you to leave."

"Wait, hold on..."

"It is alright, we will meet again, when the time is right." Tabitha told Andrew with a smile.

"But..."

"Do not worry. Goodbye, Andrew."

Before he could respond Andrew felt as though his head had exploded and suddenly he was once more engulfed in darkness before he opened his eyes once more and found himself in a glaringly white room.

He groaned in pain.

"Andrew, Andrew! Ron, get Madam Pomfrey now!" he heard from somewhere around him, followed by the sound of footsteps going off into the distance.

"Andrew can you hear me?"

"Hermione, give him time to get his bearings!" he heard another voice say loudly.

"Both of you shut it. He hit his head, we have no idea how sensitive to sound he might be right now." a third voice said in a calmer tone.

"Everyone move!" said another voice in a commanding tone, but this one he recognized immediately.

"Madam Pomfrey?" he asked quietly.

"Good, you can at least recognize me. Now drink this, it will help with the headache." she told him as he felt a vial by his mouth. Without much prompting Andrew swallowed the potion in a single gulp and sighed as the pain in his brain lessened by the second.

"Where am I?" he asked hoarsely.

"The Hospital Wing. Can you tell us what happened?"

Andrew frowned, he thought back to the last thing he could remember, but all he could remember was needing to find Hermione for... something.

"No, I – I don't remember, I just remember, looking for Hermione, then I saw Su, we spoke for a bit then we went our separate ways, then, nothing..."

Andrew's eyes finally started adjusting to the white in the room and he could make out several figures in the room.

Hermione, Harry, Ron and Su as well as Luna and Sirius who was in a heated discussion with Dumbledore in the corner.

"Hey guys... why the long faces? Who died?" he asked trying to lift the mood a bit.

"That isn't funny." Hermione said as Su stated, "This isn't a joke."

"Alright, I'm sorry. It's just, I'm okay. No need to worry about it." he told them.

Before they could speak anymore, Dumbledore walked over.

"Glad to see you awake Andrew."

"Thank you, sir." Andrew said with a small nod of his head.

"Madam Pomfrey has told me that you have a gap in your memory, your Occlumency shields haven't helped you remember what happened?"

Andrew tried to remember again but once more drew a blank. "No sir, it seems as though I either didn't have them up at that moment or something happened and my mind decided to block it out."

He blinked at his own words before he voiced his next thoughts.

"What happened? Why am I here?"

Hermione shared a look with the others in the room.

"You were found on the landing of the sixth year moving staircase. Some people think you slipped while others think you were..." she paused and looked down unable to finish her thoughts.

"Others think you were targeted by someone. Either another champion or a student." Su added gravely.

Andrew frowned. Were people really so angry that they'd actually try to cripple or kill him?

"Jesus." he whispered in shock.

After talking for a little more they determined that there wasn't much more to talk about as Andrew couldn't remember what had happened. Pomfrey allowed Harry and Sirius to stay for a bit longer while chasing the others out.

The three were a bit awkward to begin with, not really knowing what to talk about exactly before they settled on Quidditch, which allowed them all to relax to one another and discuss more things openly. When Pomfrey came to chase them out, she paused as she heard Andrew and Sirius laughing loudly while they were, once more, teasing Harry.

"So this Chang girl, she's your new Tonks is she?" Sirius asked with a small laugh.

"That's what it looks like, I mean you still haven't had a proper conversation with her have you? Did you at least introduce yourself?" Andrew asked with a massive grin.

"Oh God..." Harry groaned.

"Oh? I don't believe I know this story." Sirius said, the excitement evident in his tone.

Madam Pomfrey chose that moment, to interrupt, to at least save Harry from his teasing Brother and Godfather.

"Alright, you two. Time to go. He needs his rest." she informed them.

The two of them said their goodbyes and told Andrew they'd see him soon before leaving the room and letting Pomfrey once more fret over him. As she finished her evaluation of him Andrew had to admit one thing. Hermione was right, it seemed he was in the Hospital Wing a lot more than the average student.

HP-AP-HP-AP-HP-AP-HP

After four days Madam Pomfrey finally deemed him well enough to be among the students once more, Andrew had been out of commission for a few days and as such had missed a big portion of everything happening around the school.

Once he had taken a shower, changed and gotten his bag, he headed down to the Great Hall for lunch before joining his year for Defense Against the Dark Arts, which was still taught by Mad Eye Moody, he was a fair teacher, if anything, Andrew had to admit the impostor had done a brilliant job imitating the man. Their mannerisms were damn near identical, except this Moody hadn't had a flask which he took swigs from at random intervals, thank God.

Once he entered the Hall, a hush fell over the students and Andrew just assumed it had to do with his hospitalization. With an uninterested shrug he headed to the Gryffindor table and took a seat. Once he was relaxed, he couldn't help but notice that most of the students were still shooting him glances.

He turned to Hermione. "Okay what's going on?" he asked tiredly.

Hermione seemed to take a moment to think about what to say. "Nothing you need to worry yourself about." she finally said.

"Hey, Potter 2!" came a voice from behind him.

"Oh, come on." Andrew groaned tiredly.

"Sod off, Malfoy." Ron spoke up.

"I don't believe I was speaking to you, Weasley." Malfoy sneered.

"Malfoy, don't you have anything better to do?" Harry spoke up shooting the boy a dark look.

"Better than seeing his face when he reads this?" Malfoy asked holding up a paper; The Daily Prophet to be exact.

"Malfoy, no." Hermione said standing.

"Shut up, Mudblood, this doesn't concern you either!" Malfoy said, ignoring the glares and sneers from the other Gryffindors at the table before he tossed Andrew the paper. Andrew didn't have to wonder why everyone seemed so opposed to him reading the paper for too long as he saw the headline.

Andrew Potter Faking Injury to Escape Tournament?!

By Rit Skeeter

Good Morning Dear Readers!

As the headline states, it would appear as though our resident Andrew Potter, brother to Harry Potter had been admitted to the Hospital Wing earlier this afternoon. There isn't much information on the state of the boy but others have claimed that he seemed to be in perfect health that morning.

Could he have realized his blunder at entering the Tournament and tried to make himself seem unable to compete? Or is he really injured? His classmates seem to have their own thoughts on the matter.

"It's clear that he's faking this. First he enters the Tournament in a poor attempt to get attention and now he fakes an injury so that the conversation stays about him? Honestly it's as though he has no concern for the real champions of this Tournament." a student who chose to remain anonymous.

"He was fine this morning and now he suddenly had to go to the Hospital Wing? It all feels rather dramatic to me." Pansy Parkinson from Slytherin House said while her friends nodded in agreement. Miss Parkinson also stated how Andrew and his brother had ridiculous rumors surrounding them at the end of the year, it is unverified whether these stories are true or not, but everyone seems to believe them too wild to be true.

I am scheduled to interview the Champions early next week, I will do everything in my power to uncover the deep psychological issues the boy seems to be plagued by and get to the root of this need for attention or my name isn't Rita Skeeter.

"So, this is why everyone's staring at me?" Andrew said in a cool tone.

"To think, you have 'deep psychological issues', Potter. I mean, I noticed them, and I'm sure most others have as well, after knowing you for this long. But a complete stranger has noticed them now as well. I pity you." Malfoy said with a small laugh.

"Why don't you go take a sausage and sit on it, Malfoy." Andrew said, throwing the paper at the boy and standing to leave.

"Watch yourself, Potter." Malfoy threatened. "You're already hated by half the school, hell you were attacked just a few days ago-"

"What do you know about that?" Harry asked standing and marching over to the blond haired boy.

"Enough." Malfoy sneered at Harry.

"If you don't tell me what's going on right now, I'll-"

"You'll do what, Potter?" came a third voice.

Turning the boys noticed Snape hovering nearby.

"Of course you're here." Andrew muttered with a roll of his eyes.

"What was that, Potter 2?" Snape asked with a sneer.

"Nothing sir, just saying that we should be getting to class."

The potions Professor regarded Andrew with a dark look before speaking once again.

"10 points for lying to a Professor, now get to class."

"But sir-" Hermione tried.

"15 points for talking back to a Professor. Would you like to go for 20 points, miss Granger?"

Hermione was instantly reminded of her thoughts and the boys words from a few days before. A teacher shouldn't be exempt from criticism simply because of their position. She couldn't help the glare that crossed her face.

Snape had an instant look of surprise at her look but quickly masking it. "Miss Granger?"

"No sir." she said simply. "Let's go guys."

There was no response simply a look of loathing at Draco and Snape as the Gryffindor students left the hall and headed to their next class.

HP-AP-HP-AP-HP-AP-HP

It appeared as though Rita Skeeter's article in the Daily Prophet did a lot to make the students at Hogwarts once again, blame Andrew for his forced participation in the Tournament. It seemed as though they believed his sudden hospitalization and Madam Pomfrey's rejection to allow him visitation during his stint in the Infirmary.

The Hufflepuffs were especially rude, which is something that surprised most of his friends. The Ravenclaws while quiet in their disdain were shooting him glares whenever he came across one and the Slytherins were... well they were just about the same, barring a few more outspoken members of the house.

After DADA Andrew and Harry went down to the lake for some fresh air, despite Andrew's protests Harry insisted that he join him.

"It's been a crazy day, huh?" Andrew said once they were seated and watching the sun glitter off the water.

"Yeah, and all because of Skeeter." Harry agreed with an angry shake of his head.

"We really need to have that meeting with Su's mum, soon."

"Agreed."

The two sat in silence for a little bit before they were soon joined by another.

"Andy?"

Turning the dark skinned boy saw Fleur approaching them.

"Ah, Fleur! How are you? I feel like it's been forever since we last spoke."

"Oui, it has been an eventful few weeks, yes?"

"Yeah. Oh, by the way this is my brother; Harry. Harry this is Fleur." Andrew said introducing the two.

It was brief but Harry could have sworn that he saw a look of apprehension on the girls face which she quickly hid.

"Nice to meet you, 'Arry."

"Nice to meet you too. Sorry it took so long for us to have met properly, Andrew tells me you're brilliant."

Andrew smiled. "That is true, I do say that." he agreed.

Fleur looked between the two and smiled genuinely. "Well, I am glad to say zat it is true. I am very brilliant."

Harry laughed at that and invited her to join them. Fleur took a seat beside Andrew and the three began talking about school. What she liked about Hogwarts, her favorite classes so far, whether Beaxbatons was better than Hogwarts – which caused a rallying debate on the topic by Harry and Fleur which Andrew was more than happy to just sit back and deliberate on. All in all, they had a fun time hanging out and by the time they left Harry could happily say that he'd gained a new friend.

HP-AP-HP-AP-HP-AP-HP

Andrew had tracked down Su and asked her if her mother was still up for meeting them. At her positive response he smiled and thanked her once again.

He went and informed Harry that they were to meet Mrs Li on their next Hogsmeade visit in Flitwick's office.

At the end of the week and the Hogsmeade weekend arrived the boys were standing in front of Flitwick's office and shared a look before knocking on the door.

"Enter." they heard. Pushing the door open they found Professor Flitwick sitting behind his desk, there were two more people in the room. One was Su who both boys were familiar with, the other was a woman who was older; she had long pitch black hair, near pitch black eyes and smooth skin, as though she had stopped aging years ago. When the boys closed the door she stood to greet them and they were surprised by her small frame.

She stood a few inches taller than the boys but nowhere near enough to be seen as an adult immediately. Hell Tonks was taller than her and Tonks was the shortest "adult" the boys knew.

"Ah, Mr and Mr Potter. Great to finally meet you." she said extending her hand for them to shake.

After the introductions Flitwick said that they had one more person to wait for. At the boys confused look he signaled to his fireplace which exploded in green flames and out stepped Sirius, in very expensive robes. The boys quickly went to the man and gave him a hug.

"What are you doing here?" Harry asked curiously.

"Professor Flitwick told me what you were planning to do and you do realize that you're both underage, right? So even if you did want to sign up with Mrs Li here, you wouldn't be able to without your Guardian." Sirius asked with an amused smile.

"Ah... how did I forget that?" he asked with furrowed brows.

"You're really forgetful for a person with perfect recall." Harry said.

"I've noticed." Andrew agreed.

"Well, shall we get this started?" Mrs Li asked motioning to the open seats.

"Right well, I suppose I should get a move on." the Professor said kindly before getting off his seat and leaving the room.

"Alright, so tell me what it is exactly you boys would like me to help you with." she said looking between the two Potters.

"Well, I guess I should tell you how it started, I recently found the Harry and Andrew Potter Adventure Books..."
