A/N: This if you take Shin's offer first, Toma will be next and sooo let's go!

You hesitate over the message, then something sparks your memory. You can see the three of you spending time together in the park, playing games to pass the time and suddenly, the scene replays itself in your mind.

You look at Toma suddenly as he's drawing shapes in the sand with a wooden stick.

"Toma, will you marry me?" You ask him, but Toma's sputtering and blushing face puzzles you. You go on to explain that if you two are married, then that means that when you get older it'll mean you don't have to separate from each other, and you want to be together forever.

Toma hesitates though in his reply. You take the rejection hard and start wailing, when Shin places his hand on your shoulder.

"I'll marry you then. So stop crying okay?"

You nod, feeling Shin stroke your back in a strangely comforting way. He's usually not this gentle with you. You ask him to marry you again, and he agrees. You smile at him, blinking tears away. You miss the sour look on Toma's face, when you look back at him, he's just staring at you blankly.

"If we marry, Toma can be our child then, right?"

Shin nods. "If you want." You beam at Shin, and he ruffles your hair affectionately.

The comment makes Toma twist his face unhappily. "H-Hey! I didn't agree to that!"

The sudden memory makes you dizzy, but luckily you are already on your bed so that mattress catches your fall, and you snuggle into your blankets, until your mind stops swimming. Orion sounds surprised.

'A memory! This is good, you have to reply and say something! Choose! Which one will it be?'

You hesitate again, and then smile. There's only one answer after a memory like that, after all.

At noon as promised, you are waiting beside the train station entrance, checking the time on your cell phone anxiously. You don't think Shin will stand you up necessarily, but you are worried nonetheless. You two aren't dating anymore, perhaps he takes you less seriously now?

After another ten minutes though, Shin emerges out from the train station on the escalator, and his expression softens after seeing you immediately. He looks so shy this way when he's approaching you. Only a smile could possibly make an expression like that any sweeter.

"What are you grinning so much for? I only just got here, stupid." he chides, but his eyes are filled with mirth. Orion laughs in your ear, commenting how eager Shin looks despite trying to hide it. You giggle at that, and ask Shin where he would like to go.

"Me? I'm the one who promised to hang out with you after classes are done, so it's probably only fair that you pick where we go. I'm not your boyfriend anymore though, so if you pick somewhere bad, I won't hide my distaste."

You pout at that, but suddenly feel a little apprehension because you don't really remember the type of places that you and Shin used to go together as boyfriend and girlfriend. What can you say that won't strike him as odd or upset him? Perhaps there are simple things you can suggest like going to the movies, or a cafe, or even the zoo; you stifle a sigh...there are too many options.

Not to keep him waiting though, you ask if he will go to the park with you. You would like to buy some bread on the way there and snacks and feed the birds together. Orion praises you; if you talk to him more there, maybe the stimulation will bring back some more memories! Shin blinks twice at you, a little surprised.

"That's...not what I thought you'd suggest. Not that I dislike that though. Come on, if we're going to the convenience store first I want to visit the one that has melon soda." You cover your giggle behind your hand, and Shin pouts. His adoration for melon soda is something that never fails to amuse you; it's one of the first things you re-learned about him that stuck.

As Shin begins to lead towards the store of his choice, you hesitate for a moment before boldly asking if you could possibly hold hands together as you walk. The comment nearly makes Shin trip over his own feet. "I..I can't, no way. It's too embarrassing." You pout further, and when he looks over his shoulder back at you the blush that starts at the nape of his neck grows in intensity. "W-We're not children anymore!"

You tilt your head to the side, curiously. The pout fades from your lips, but you can't hide the twitching of your hands as you look at Shin's gloved fingers expectantly. He doesn't say anything in response as you two continue on, but he notices the looks you give him.

It takes two whole city blocks before your looks finally wear him down. Licking his lips slowly, he concedes. "...Just until we reach the convenience store," he grumbles under his breath. You smile, brighter than you think you ever had before. You can hear Orion cheering in the back of your mind. His hand reaches out quickly, grasping yours on his own, and it's almost nostalgic how easily your fingers melt into his snugly. A sigh leaves your lips before you can stop it.

Shin's lips curl upward in a smirk. "Don't tell me you're falling for me again already." He teases you playfully, watching the blush bloom across your face. You want to deny it, smack him maybe. But the protest dies on your lips just as quickly as the thoughts form. The warmth of his hand kills all denial. It feels too natural, too comfortable. Too safe.

You blush harder, chewing at your lip absently. You miss the stare Shin gives you when you do that, and instead when the convenience store is finally in sight you ask him to buy you something sweet. He eyes you warily, and makes a snide comment about how your work pay is probably more than his, but he doesn't object. You two spend some time browsing through magazines together and comparing instant noodle brands. When you finish, Shin's wallet is thinner and the bag you're holding is heavy. It's everything you two should want for a day in the park together. You blush as Orion comments in the back of your mind.

So, this is what a real date is like….

"Hey."

It's the first thing Shin says as you two settle in the grass under a large tree, blossoming some summer flowers, white and red that don't really smell like anything. Shin removes his jacket to feel the light breeze more personally, but he doesn't take off his gloves. You lean into the strong limb of the tree, spreading out the snacks the two of you bought together. When he speaks, you flinch despite yourself.

"Do you remember us doing this before?"

You pause for a moment, then shake your head in the negative. You try to search for a memory of the two of you in this park together, and besides some hazy memories of the three of you together as children, nothing comes. A depressed sound escapes your lips without your notice. You look into Shin's face and feel a little sad; you caught the sag in his shoulders.

He tightens his lips. "Don't cry, idiot. It doesn't matter if you remember or not, we can just as easily make new memories. I told you I'll win you over, right?" In a rare move, he leans forward and his gloved hand brushes against your face, thumb running against the meat of your bottom lip. It quivers in anticipation for something you don't recognize. Shin smirks. "I'm not going to kiss you; don't worry." his breath comes out in little huffs on your face. You're red before you realize it, and it makes Shin chuckle, his dark hair hiding his eyes as he shuffles back, outside of your personal space. You swallow thickly and continue unpacking your bag. You try not to glance back at him, cheeks burning.

The sun is still high in the sky.

When you open your eyes again, the sun has already began to set and you realize that you spent a portion of it asleep. Blinking sleep from your eyes, you glance over and see Shin still in the throes of comfort, resting against the bark of the tree as if the smells and sounds of the park had seduced him right into slumber. You smile halfheartedly; at least you weren't the only one. The two of you talked about everything and nothing, Shin was kind enough to fill in the blanks of things you didn't remember, and it brought back so many memories that the swell of it made Orion dizzy and distant. Then you fell asleep without realizing. You look down. Shin's hand is clenched tightly in yours, red gloved fingers intertwined in yours. You smile fully this time, and give his hand a squeeze. He doesn't stir, however.

His eyes are still closed and the irritated lines of his face are smoothed away. He looks so young this way...young and cute. You blush despite yourself, and give his hand another squeeze, as if warning him that if he didn't wake up soon you might not be held accountable for what came next.

This time though, he reacts. He moans softly, lips parting in a yawn as he blinks sleepily at you. Then his face is pink and irritated at the same time, hand sliding out of yours as he complains that now he won't sleep properly at night since you made him rest in the afternoon. And now he's got grass stains on his clothes; plus it's hot. You giggle. The sound of it knocks Shin out of his ranting, and he gives you a half-smirk, running a hand through his hair.

"Honestly," he thumbs his nose up at you, in mock annoyance. "What am I supposed to do with you?"

He walks you home in complete silence. But he holds your hand without complaint. At the door of your apartment, you can see his muscles tense as he held himself back from snatching a goodbye kiss. Instead, he wrings his hands, unsure of what to touch if it isn't you. You give him a shy smile, afraid to tell him if it's OK or not. You swallow thickly, this is the first date after all. It wouldn't be bad to give him a little trouble for all his efforts.

He parts with a half-smile, and promises to message you after classes end tomorrow. You nod, and then key your way into your apartment, anxiety leaving your bones as soon as the door closes behind you. Orion cheers you on, but you can't see him. It's supposed to be a good thing, but it worries you anyway.

Your phone rings again. Expecting Shin, you are surprised to find that it's Toma's number. He sent a text that he wants to see you. He's on his way.

You panic, but it's no use. You understand without knowing why, that once Toma decides something, it'll happen whether you like it or not.
