I do NOT own the Teen Titans in any way, shape, or form. If I did, I would fight whoever was in charge of Cartoon Network at the time of Teen Titan's cancellation and force-feed them Starfire's cooking.

Hey, guys! Welcome to the third chapter of Forever Titans!

As I'm writing this, Forever Titans have amassed 210 views! There are no words to describe how grateful I am for everyone that contributed to this milestone. When I'm in the middle of making a new chapter and feel the waves of sleepiness take over me, I look at the Story Stats and get a massive wave of energy rush through me and make me go back to writing. What I mean to say, each one of you reading and patiently waiting for a new chapter to be released is my primary motivation to continue writing and putting my all into this. As cheesy as it may sound, it's the truth. Thank you, guys.

Without further ado, please enjoy the third chapter of Forever Titans.

The morning at Titan's Tower soon turned to a late afternoon.

There wasn't any criminal activity that the police couldn't handle. Meaning the Titans weren't needed. In fact, the villains in Jump City weren't around as they usually were. It's been a couple of days since the team has stopped crime in the city.

The team didn't mind it, though. It gave the heroes of Jump a much-needed break to unwind and not having to worry about property damage; Which was good for Robin, since he didn't have to fill out any paperwork for any minor incident, they may have caused.

On the topic of Robin, he continued to take Cyborg's advice of taking a break from the investigation.

He moved to the commons after his and Starfire's disagreement. She didn't have any more words to say to him after that moment, and he didn't want to apologize to her without a proper given reason. It was the few times the two had a fight, and Robin hated just experiencing it.

Bruce taught him to never let your superhero life affect your personal life. Still, Robin couldn't do everything Bruce taught him.

'I hope Star isn't too hurt by what I said, things like that always get to her. The last time I got her upset, she sulked around the Tower for a week until I gifted her a gallon of mustard.' Robin thought.

Robin lost his thought when he got a view of the Titan's pet and mascot, Silkie, giving him a blank stare. The pink larva was the only member in the Tower that didn't age, which Starfire loved most about him since Silkie could remain her baby for a bit longer, or as she would say, her little bumforg.

"Hey, little guy. I can't believe I'm asking you of all things for relationship advice, but... what would you do if a girl, or… larva, in your case, wanted something you weren't comfortable with? Not that you didn't want to do it, it was something that happened in the past and changed everything about you later on."

Silkie continued to stare at Robin.

"Yeah, relationships are all about sacrifices, and don't get me wrong, I can do that. I would give my life to let Starfire live another day. But, if there's a good reason why I'm not doing it, does that really make me the bad guy?" Robin asked

Robin stood from the couch and paced around the living room.

"I love Star. I may have problems saying it from time to time, but it doesn't mean it's not true. I said it to her face plenty of times and let others know, it's not like I'm keeping it secret. I told Bruce of all people that she and I were a couple, and he didn't seem too upset. So, what if I told him a year after we were official? What matters is I did it in the end, right, Silkie?"

Robin's eyes glanced over to the pink larva, which was soundly asleep.

Robin let out a defeated sigh.

"I can't believe I was asking a thirty-pound larva for advice," Robin mumbled.

"Yo, Rob! Were you seriously making conversation with Silkie?" Cyborg called out, giving Robin a teasing grin.

Robin turned to the metallic man, wiping the insecurities from his face, and replacing it with his standard, grim appearance.

"Did you find anything?" Robin blankly asked.

"Yeah, and it's pretty big. Take a look at these." Cyborg responded, handing him a large file.

Robin took the file, scanning a few of the papers before turning his attentions back to Cyborg.

"Cy, this is just their call log. I already read it through the scanner, and none of the numbers showed any correlation to the other victims or a person of interest."

"You're right," Cyborg retorted, "but the last numbers were to a family member or close friend at the time…"

"4:26 p.m." Robin said, realizing what Cyborg was trying to say. "Then, that means all the calls are connected in another way then what we've been looking at. If the last person they called were to a family member, did they indicate that they were in any trouble? Was there a possibility that a gang or mobster coming out to get them?"

"No, I got to contact a fair amount of the victims' last contacts, and they said they were calm. They explained to me that the person they would normally talk to was them, but at the same time, it was like talking to a complete stranger; They didn't have the usual tone in their voice, they were like zombies. Didn't have no sense of life in their voice or anything."

"That's weird, really weird. The close ones, what did the victim's say?"

"All of them said the same thing. Something about how the victims loved them, how the other person was going to be okay in the future, the victim ignoring any questions the other would have, then without warning, they would hang up. And that was the last time they would hear from them."

"So, whoever is behind this has a cycle. He makes the victims call their loved ones at a specific time, lead them to a particular area, then kill them the day after.

"On the nose, Rob. The killer would do it just like that. Nothing extra like trying to take out cash from their bank accounts or stealing any personal information. He only wants to send a message to whoever's watching. He's like some fucked up, wannabe vigilante."

"Way worse, than a vigilante, Cy. Way worse…" Robin retorted, continuing to go through the papers.

Robin's personal issues with Starfire was now his second priority. He hated to think like that, but the safety of the people of Jump City was far too important to think about his love life.

"Thanks again, Cy, I appreciate all of this. I can take care of the rest of the investigation from here." Robin said, making his way towards the evidence room.

"Rob, wait. Are you sure you can handle this? You look even more exhausted than when I last saw you." Cyborg asked, concerned.

"I'm fine. With the information you managed to get, we can finally say we're one step closer to finding this guy and -"

The sound of the crime alarm took all the Titans by surprise. They didn't hear that familiar, yet annoying blare in a while. If it would've sounded a few days later, most of the Titans would've forgotten it was there.

Robin groaned in annoyance. Of all the times to get a crime alert, it had to be now.

"I'll take my bike and see what's going on. Make sure the team is at the location ASAP." Robin said to Cyborg as he ran to the garage.

"You got it, Rob," Cyborg responded as he wathced Robin race off.

Friends with benefits, Beast Boy and Raven, were enjoying the company of one another in Raven's room.

After both parties woke up from a much-needed nap after their "exercise." The pair nestled as they read one of the many books in Raven's collection. She would purposely read slower than she usually would because of Beast Boy. However, she didn't mind it. It was kind of nice having a reading buddy, especially if it was Beast Boy; Though, Raven still couldn't believe someone like Garfield read something besides comics.

"Raven?"

"Yes, Gar?" Raven responded, keeping her eyes on her current page.

"I'm a little confused. Wasn't this, Hu-erae-beak, the first to find the mystic arts or whatever it's called?"

Raven sighed. He usually didn't understand what was going on with any story they read together, and she had to explain it to him step by step like he was a child. It got on her nerves, but, strangely, she enjoyed it. It gave her another way to talk to him and discuss what was going on.

"For starters, his name is Hugherobeck; As in Hugh-euro-beck. And, no, his brother founded the mystic art of Craulic, Hugherobeck only studied it and taught it to others after his brother died."

"Oh." Beast Boy responded, "But why did Hugeurabeak want to destroy it?"

"Hugherobeck didn't want to destroy it, per se. He just wanted people who wanted to use its power for the wrong reasons, not access its power. That's why he destroyed any trace of the arts and entrusted his students to teach it only to those whose hearts were pure."

"I guess his plan failed then. There isn't anyone who practices that kind of magic now, right? It's like Latin; Completely dead."

"I wouldn't say he failed, Gar. His plan may have seemed like it failed, but there are potentialities of magic users having mastered it."

"Woah. That's pretty heavy. For all I know, you could be one of those students who learned Crowlick!"

Raven let out a hearty chuckle.

"You're so stupid, Garfield," Raven responded, returning back to the adventures in her book.

Garfield chuckled as well, a few seconds later, dreamily staring at Raven's pale, yet, gorgeous face.

'Okay, Beast Boy,' He thought, 'Remember what we practiced over the last few months. She's just a girl. A girl you've had a major crush on for the last several years, but still just a girl. She's like your sister, it's easy asking your sister out on a date. Wait-no! Not your sister, your best friend! What? No! Why of all things do I think of Cyborg? BB, just shut up. Right now, isn't the time for jokes. If she says no, that's the end of it; It wasn't meant to be, and then you look for someone else. Hopefully, she falls for anyone other than that fuck boy, Aqualad.'

He let out a quiet shutter. Aqualad and Raven? If they were ever a couple, he would pray to God, he would never see them together in this or any future life.

'But… if she does say yes…' Beast Boy continued gawking at her, his stomach began to toss and turn. 'She'll finally be more than just a friend.'

Beast Boy began to deeply inhale and exhale, receiving a concerned glance courtesy of Raven.

"Gar, are you feeling o-"

"Raven, I need to ask you something!" Beast Boy blurted

Out of surprise, Raven jumped back but gathered her composure a second after.

"Uh… okay? There was no need to ask like a maniac, but you did manage to receive my undivided attention." Raven responded

"Umm… Raven. I don't know how to say this... But, I would normally say I care for you as a teammate, but-"

"I care about you too, Gar. We've been teammates for years."

"No! That's just it, I don't care for you as a teammate or a friend!" Beast Boy retorted.

Raven was a bit confused and hurt by what Beast Boy just said.

"Okay. There's nothing wrong with that. Everyone has a right to feel whatever way they want." A heartbroken Raven answered.

"Wait, no, Raven! What I mean is… I don't want… this," He circled his arms around the both of them, "anymore."

Beast Boy's heart felt like it was beating twenty times a second.

There was no anxiety chart to measure how Beast Boy was feeling at the moment. But, Raven, could sense the amount of distress Beast Boy was in. She continued to watch Beast Boy began to say utter nonsense.

'Why is he acting like this? Why is he saying that he doesn't care about me? How long did he not care? Did I do something wrong? Was our argument from earlier the last straw for him? Was he using my emotions for a way to get me to sleep with him? Did he only want to get one last lay before he told me how he really feels? I hope he didn't find anyone else. What if he did? Could it be that blonde bimbo that runs the stupid blog about Beast Boy? What if…' Raven tried to find any explanation for Beast Boy's behavior. She tried to hold back the tears wanting to fall from her eyes and be seen as the tough female member of the team the others saw her as, but as she continued to think about the current situation, the harder it was to remain stable.

"Rae? Rave? Raven? Raven!" Beast Boy snapped, sending Raven back to cruel reality.

"Raven. You know that I'm more or less of an idiot, right?"

"You're slightly more intellectual than a vegetable, but I can agree with you," Raven responded coldly.

"Well, yeah, that. But, what I meant to say earlier was true, but differently. I care about you, but not as a teammate or a friend."

"That's a little harsh, don't you think, Beast Boy?" Raven responded as she rolled her eyes.

"Just let me finish." Beast Boy countered, "What I meant to say was… I… I care for you… I…"

Beast Boy began to blush a deep shade of red. Aside from the change of color Beast Boy experienced, she could sense he was nervous. But, not worried as in fighting a foe like Trigon. It was something she couldn't correctly pinpoint. But, she had a good guess about what it was.

"Yes? You care for me like what, Gar?" Raven asked, leaning closer towards him.

"I, uh… I c-"

"Spit it out, you green idiot, tell me!" Raven asked once more, letting her excitement get the best of her.

"Raven, I care about you as mor-"

"Friend Raven? Are you busy at the moment? I need to discuss something with you." Starfire gently said.

"Shit!" Raven and Beast Boy said in unison.

"Hurry and hide somewhere, quickly!" Raven screamed at Beast Boy before she turned off the muting spell in her room. "Sure, just give me a minute, I'm naked!" Raven called to Starfire.

Beast Boy followed Raven's orders and shifted into a mosquito, flying over to one of Raven's green books to camouflage in.

"Okay! I will remain put here until you arrive." Starfire responded, waiting patiently.

Raven scrambled out of bed to find her cloak. Raven was, in fact, naked and wanted to be seen as decent in front of her teammate. She only wanted Beast Boy to see her in this embarrassing state, and she preferred to keep it that way.

After putting on her cloak, she made her way to the doorway, using her powers to hide Beast Boy's clothes and her torn leotard from Starfire's view.

When Raven opened the door, Starfire didn't see any evidence of Beast Boy recently being inside or the dirty time they shared earlier.

"What is it?" Raven asked in her dull monotone.

"I'm sorry for disturbing you at this time. I just want to confirm the time of yoga we both scheduled." Starfire timidly said.

"You could've called me on the communicator, Star," Raven said, slightly annoyed, "But, yeah, I should be on the rooftop at around six."

"Oh, yes. I could've. I apologize." Star responded, giving Raven a shy smile.

Raven didn't need to use her powers to tell something was off about Star. Her eyes were puffy, and her happy attitude was replaced by a sad one.

"Star, are you okay?" Raven asked, concerned.

"Of course, I am. Why would you think differently?" Starfire asked, mustering up a smile. But, not a believable one.

"It's just that- nothing. I'll see you in a few hours." Raven replied.

"Yes. I can't wait." Starfire said as she walked away from her door.

Raven turned away from the door, the automatic metal door shutting behind her.

"Okay, Gar, you can come out now."

A second later, the naked green changeling popped out of thin air and landed on Raven's bed.

Raven sat next to her green lover, still in suspense for what he had to say. From looking at his face, he was just as nervous as he was before Star came.

"So, Gar. What did you have to tell me?" Raven asked as she placed her hand upon his arm.

Beast Boy closed his eyes and gathered what he was going to say.

'No going back now, Beast Man.' He thought as he opened his emerald eyes to stare into her amethyst gems.

"Raven… whatever you thought I meant to say earlier was a huge misunderstanding. I do care for you. More than you could ever imagine. But, what I meant to say was… I care for you like a-"

Before Beast Boy could finish his sentence, the crime alert sounded in time to ruin the moment of Beast Boy and Raven.

'God damn it!' Beast Boy thought.

'Shit!' Raven shouted internally.

Both of them looked at one another, sharing a look of pain and tension.

"I need to get dressed!" Beast Boy said, hopping off the bed to retrieve his uniform.

"Likewise," Raven responded, making way towards her closet for her leotard.

The two hurriedly put on their respected uniforms. Occasionally, glancing at one another as if to say something.

Once they were fully dressed, they both made their way the commons to meet with the others. Luckily for them, nobody saw them exit Raven's together.

Four of the five Titans arrived on the scene of the crime.

Robin, being the first one to leave the tower, arrived minutes earlier than the rest of the team. He was handling the situation very well against the supervillain known as Cinderblock, despite not having the same strength, durability, or other superhuman attributes Cinderblock might've possessed.

The two individuals battled on the empty street near Jump City's bank; Which was in considerable damage thanks to Cinderblock.

With each strike Cinderblock threw, Robin gracefully evaded the attack with little to no effort. The years Robin battled Cinderblock, learning from his personal mistakes, and the hours of training Robin endured, made the point that he didn't need superpowers to fight with a teammate who could lift several tons or another having the ability to create high tech weapons with a single thought. Robin was a powerless leader who got the job done; To him, that was his superpower.

Of course, he didn't have the strength to defeat Cinderblock through means of hand to hand combat, but he knew it wouldn't matter anyway. He had a team that had his back, and the five of them could beat anyone as long as they stuck together.

As Cinderblock threw another hit, Robin used his gymnastic talent to jump over the rock man and land behind his back. With a quick, yet ferocious swing of his metallic bo staff, he landed a hit on the back of Cinderblock's knee, causing him to kneel and let out a monstrous roar of pain.

Before Robin could get back to a safe distance, Cinderblock swang at Robin, successfully hitting him on his side and causing Robin to fly towards a nearby building.

Within a foot of Robin making an impact on the wall, Starfire flew to him, catching him in her arms and stopping any more damage from inflicting on him.

"Thanks," Robin told Starfire as she set the both of them down on the surface.

By the time their feet touched the ground, Cinderblock was up and ready to kill both of the Titans.

Cinderblock gave out a warrior cry and began to charge towards the couple.

As he took his first few steps, he was hit in the back with a sonic blast, courtesy of Cyborg.

"C'mon, man, the Titans have been whoopin' your butt for years. Don't tell me you forgot about the rest of us." Cyborg mocked, continuing to aim his sonic cannon at the rock monster.

Cinderblock was going to charge Cyborg until Raven and Beast Boy came into his view.

All five Titans circled the rock man, causing him to rethink his next move.

The standoff only lasted for a couple of seconds before Cinderblock let out another, letting them all know he wasn't going to surrender without a fight.

That was all the Titans needed to hear.

Robin glared at Cinderblock as he put one foot in front of the other and letting out his infamous battle cry.

"Titans, Go!"

Hey, guys! Thanks for finishing this chapter, and I hope you enjoyed it and excited for the next chapter as I am excited to write it.

I was planning on making the action scene longer and with a proper ending, but I didn't want you guys to wait so long for this one. As I write this on Friday at 3:58 a.m. eastern time, I won't be able to write the fourth chapter after this. I'm not even entirely sure if I can write the day of Saturday.

I try to upload a new chapter every three or four days, and it didn't make sense to rush this out, and it be crap or the possibility of not having finished this at all.

I'll try and look at any views or reviews on my page from time to time, so if you have any suggestions, critiques, or questions, write a review.

Thank you all for understanding, and I will try to have chapter four by Tuesday at the latest.
