Cloud closed his eyes, focusing on Reno. He hadn't called out to the Vampire in well over a decade but he still remembered. It was something he could never forget, even if he wanted to. It would always haunt him, as long as their bond existed. He was determined that one day, he would kill the monster and finally be free of it.

Just as he felt it when the Vampire called to him, he knew that Reno would feel it. Reno would also know when he was close, and so he needed to be extremely careful. The creature and its comrades would be asleep after sunrise and so it would be safe to do a search for Roxas. However, they would know that he was coming which was a problem. He needed to get there and also leave as quickly as possible, even if he had to leave Roxas behind.

Travelling outside of the walls that bordered and protected Twilight town was dangerous. It was suicidal if you didn't know what you were doing but Cloud knew that he wouldn't have much trouble along the way. The creatures that would normally hunt humans could sense that he was different, that he would pose as a threat and, in fact, hunt them down if given the chance. Survival instincts were handy that way and so Cloud had kissed his wife goodbye confidently and left in secret. He hadn't known the way but he knew where to go. He would always be able to find Reno. They had a blood bond and while it was an insidious thing it had had its benefits. He was stronger, faster, more resilient than the average human, for example.

He didn't age like the others. He still looked like he was in his late twenties to early thirties. He had learned that he would live longer and heal faster, as well. Reno hadn't turned him, he was still mortal, but he had changed him and it was revolting. He suspected that Lea had done something similar to Roxas and he hated himself for not seeing the signs and protecting him better. No one could ever know what had been done to his son. All he could do for him once he'd been recovered was to help to teach him how to use it against the Vampires, to become stronger, and how to hide it.

He had set out the day before. His wife, Tifa, had pleaded with him to find their son despite any repercussions he might face. Cloud had grudgingly agreed, skeptical that Roxas would survive. He didn't know how much he could help Roxas if he recovered him. Still, Tifa had persisted and so he had set out with the promise that he would do what he could.

Cloud had known that he needed to enter Reno and Lea's fortress when they were at their weakest. It would give him a chance, at least, if the Vampires woke from their slumber. He had no doubt in his mind that Lea was keeping Roxas close. He was also armed with the knowledge that they would have known that he was coming but not when.

When he had found a mansion and nothing had come out to meet him, he had scoped out the perimeter but had waited until sunrise before deciding to do a search. It was his best chance because it was where he had sensed Reno. Even though it was probably a trap because he was being lured inside, he had still promised to try. He knew that he needed to move quickly or neither of them were going to have a chance of getting out alive.

Cautiously, silently, he entered the mansion from a back door and set to exploring. Feeling Reno, he ascended the staircase on the right side of the foyer. When he got to the top, he gave the doorknob a testing turn. What he hadn't expected upon opening it was to see Reno sitting in a chair, waiting for him. Shades of blue locked. Cloud's held fury, but Reno was calm.

"Smart, coming at dawn, but foolish coming alone Cloud," he drawled. "Such a shame that you're still keeping secrets. Having back up would have been wise." The blond scoffed, tugging down a green scarf that had been partially covering his face for camouflage purposes. He was wearing armor bound by leather, the clothes underneath were deep blue with dark denim pants rather than his signature black. Reno simply watched him. "Uninvited, too," he tsked, "that's just asking for trouble."

"You know why I'm here," the blond told him humorlessly. Reno's eyes glittered in amusement.

"Straight to the point, huh? What, no death threats today?" he murmured back. Cloud's eyes hardened.

"Give Roxas back or I will burn this place to the ground," he replied. Reno laughed.

"Much better! No, you won't do that," the Vampire answered, shaking his head, "if we turned him, Roxas would burn in the sunlight, too, wouldn't he?" Reno mocked, "That is, if you would even be able to find him before he died." Cloud unsheathed his weapon.

"Better for him to burn than to be one of you. If you turned him, I will make you suffer before I kill you," he promised. The red-head watched amusedly.

"Now that is something I have been dying to see," he taunted. Cloud came at him and he moved, dodging and counter attacking, grasping the blond's wrists when he evaded and making his sword clatter to the floor. The blond froze for a critical moment, caught off guard. Normally, they were toe to toe and Reno was supposed to be weaker than normal right now. "You see," he murmured in Cloud's ear, pulling him into his chest, "you're good but I have always been better than you. I choose not to hurt you." The blond fought hard.

"I don't believe that! What would possess you give me an advantage over you?" Cloud asked hatefully. Reno gripped him more tightly and Cloud clenched his teeth from the pain.

"It's because I love you," he murmured, "that I don't want to hurt you." Cloud was silent for a moment. He shook his head. His face twisting in disgust. The monster was lying in the most repulsive way.

"You are hurting me," he hissed. Reno let him go and the blond stumbled away from him. He distanced himself, his stance defensive as he watched Reno, distrust in his eyes.

"You could just talk to me, you know? You don't have to run away all the time," the red-head told him, kicking his weapon away. Cloud frowned, watching where it went in his peripheral vision.

"We both know that you're looking for an opening to manipulate me," he accused, his eyes never leaving the Vampire. Reno shook his head.

"I never manipulated you," he disagreed, "I never wanted to." Cloud scoffed.

"You're not human. You can't feel. We are prey to you," he stated, his eyes narrowing. "What else could you possibly want?" Reno's expression went flat.

"If that's true, why would I not just kill you for the sake of self-preservation? Why would my brother take Roxas, to spite you? Why would we burn your food supply? To make you starve? In your words, you're useless if you're dead. Think about it, Cloud. It makes no sense," he growled, stalking forward. They were face to face and close, closer than they had been in years and it felt the same, like no time had passed at all. Alarmed, Cloud accused, "You want us for a greater purpose, you…" Reno shook his head, his expression softening.

"I just wanted to love you," he murmured back, "and that's all you wanted too but your family turned you against me." Cloud watched those blue eyes carefully. "If you would talk to us… You would see that we just want to exist, Cloud," he pleaded, begging him to understand. The blond scoffed back and clenched his jaw. Reno's gaze hardened. "Your stubbornness is going to force my hand, you know." Cloud narrowed his eyes.

"What are you going to do, kill me?" he sneered.

"No, but you're not going anywhere until this is resolved," he promised, touching the side of Cloud's face. Blue eyes widened. Cloud automatically flinched away and reached for another weapon but the Vampire was faster and stopped him, grasping his wrists. "Stop it!" He hissed. The blond struggled, staggering backward as Reno pushed him into the bookshelves.

"Hey, back off! Get away from me!" There was unease in his voice, something that surprised the red-head. Reno held his hands on either side of his head and leant close. Cloud's breath caught. "Get back…"

"Or what?" The Vampire breathed. "You already hate me. What's worse than that?" There was fear, panic, desperation in those lovely blue eyes. Cloud looked vulnerable and it was something that Reno hadn't seen in a long time. "It still kills me that they took you away," he whispered. Cloud pushed against him but Reno was stronger. The blond shuddered under Reno's piercing gaze, completely powerless. His heart was beating painfully fast and he knew that Reno could hear it. They remained like that for what felt like forever, and when Cloud didn't respond otherwise, the red-head closed the space between them, their lips locking together for the first time in nearly twenty years.

Cloud froze, everything slowed down for one agonizingly long moment before it all crashed down around him. Heat and arousal flowed through him, more than he had ever felt before, to his complete horror. Once the initial shock had passed, he jerked his face away from Reno's, pressing his head painfully into the shelves. His pulse was racing and his face felt like it was on fire. His body was completely betraying him. Reno's grip loosened and instead, he twined their fingers together. The blond faced him, flustered by the gesture. His mouth set itself in a determined frown, his lips parting to tell the Vampire to stop, but the words died on his tongue when Reno kissed him deeply.

Cloud was shuddering and gasping before Reno broke away. Then the red-head kissed him again, their tongues twisting together. Cloud's response was automatic and Reno did not yield until he was moaning into his mouth. When their eyes met again, Cloud's eyes held arousal, but they also had hints of disgust.

"I knew you were trying to mmn-manipulate me," he groaned between kisses. Reno smirked.

"No, not manipulate, my love," he murmured back, his teeth nipping at the blond's lower lip before he sucked it into his mouth and bit down sensually, "not at all," he murmured, pushing the words and his tongue into Cloud's mouth. "I simply want you," he murmured, unashamed, "and I just don't see why I should let you go." Cloud completely panicked.

"Don't call me that," he spat. Reno's smirk widened.

"When are you going to admit that you want me too?" he asked. Cloud scoffed. "I'm holding back and you want me," Reno murmured. The blond's crystalline blue eyes widened in shock. "That's right," he hummed, pleased, "it's all you. No venom yet. Just imagine it," he purred, his voice lowering as he continued, "If I wanted to, I could make you my slave," he promised. Cloud's pulse jumped and he stared at Reno, both aroused and utterly terrified.

When the Vampire kissed him again, he made that promise a reality. The full force of that drugging power hit him like a tidal wave, hammering at him again and again, sweeping away his defenses. He barely realized he was moaning and begging for more or just how dangerously beautiful Reno was, until it was too late. It was so sudden and it felt so good. His fingers buried into red hair and he tugged the Vampire close, kissing him back, his shuddering body rubbing against Reno's powerful one.

Cloud panted against the red-head's lips. "I'm not so sure I ever stopped wanting you," he groaned, admitting it aloud for the first time in his life. Reno's expression softened, becoming tender. Their mouths met again, their tongues tangling together. Reno's hands were trembling when he touched the blond. He tugged the fabric away from Cloud's neck, mouthing at the flesh hungrily. The blond shuddered and moaned. He remembered how good Reno could make him feel and it was paramount in his mind. Nothing else mattered.

The red-head grasped his legs, hoisting him up. Cloud instinctively wrapped his legs around Reno, his arms looping around his neck. Reno thrust against him powerfully and the blond cried out, moving with him frantically. The Vampire tore at Cloud's clothes impatiently, rubbing his face against the bared flesh. He sunk his teeth into the junction where his shoulder met his neck, flooding the blond with pleasure. Cloud gasped and moaned, his vision going out of focus as he trembled uncontrollably. He vaguely recalled Reno disarming him amongst the pleasurable caresses. It was all happening so fast that he couldn't keep track of everything.

He cried out in pain when the red-head thrust into him. Reno suckled sharply at the bite and hit Cloud's prostate hard, again and again, forcing the blond to orgasm. He slowed his thrusts, drawing out his pleasure and making him cry out incoherently. Then he picked up the pace, and the blond arched his back, coming again. With a moaning gasp, Reno came as well.

Cloud slumped into the red-head, completely exhausted. The warm dreamy feeling of the Vampire's kisses was beginning to fade. He was coming down from the high. His stomach gave a nasty twist. "Oh my God…" he muttered. His eyes locked with Reno's and he stared at him in horror. "Oh my God." The red-head frowned when Cloud pushed against him and, grasping either side of his face, kissed him until he was shaking from pleasure. Their noses brushed.

"You are mine," he told the blond, "and you are never going to leave me again."

Cloud panted against the red-head's lips. His heart was pounding. He was completely ashamed of his lack of control. He was supposed to be rescuing Roxas, not falling into his old ways because of Reno.

"If you think that you can keep me here, you've got another thing coming," he snapped, even though it wasn't nearly as harshly as he would have liked. Reno smirked wryly.

"I know that I can keep you here," he murmured back, kissing the blond deeply, making him squirm in pleasure, "and I know that I can make you enjoy it," he answered softly against his lips. "If you ever try to leave me, I will turn you," he promised. Cloud scoffed at him darkly. Reno watched him, his eyes shimmering with mirth. "I will make you beg for it too," he hummed arrogantly.

"I would rather rot," was the blond's disgusted response. Reno watched him amusedly, appreciating his ferocity and his beauty. Cloud concentrated, blocking off his immediate thoughts from Reno. He needed to think of a plan and he needed to do it quickly. He needed to get away from Reno, now.
