(Author's Note: Guess who's baaaaaaaaack? It's me:) For our Halloween chapter, YAY!:) College man…things have been CRAZY, these last few weeks:(
I'm at a part where I'd be totally up for you guys to give me some ideas for the story. I do have my own ideas (quite a few, actually), but…a lot of ideas either can't be done right now (for…reasons), or I'm not sure exactly I want those ideas to be implemented just yet. So…yeah. Feel free to give me some ideas. And, let me go ahead and say this about actual episodes of the Loud House (since I KNOW it's gonna come up)…there are actual Loud House episodes that I'm interested in doing. Depending on the episode you're referring to, I may or may not do it. I make no promises. Also…let me know how you'd prefer for Lena to be placed within that episode's events.
I heard some news that I found to be VERY interesting: apparently…there's been talks of Warner Brothers to continue making TWO DC cinematic universes in the future (possibly three, as there was talk of 2019's Joker being set in it's own separate universe)! That...is quite a decision0_0 So…there'd be TWO connected cinematic universes, the DCEU that we know (and I love. Yeah…I said it!)…and a different universe, that I THINK (so don't quote me on this) will start with Robert Pattison's "The Batman". And THEN, in the future, there's said to be plans to (eventually) merge these two cinematic universes into one through the use of a "Flashpoint" movie. If that's the case…good for DC, having their plans:)
More news, this one being very frustrating: anyone rememberemember the…"unpleasantness" that happened with Marvel/Disney and Sony involving Spider-Man? Recently…apparently, both companies recently commented. Marvel/Disney gave MUCH credit to the fans for helping to get Spider-Man back in the MCU (which is true). Sony, on the other hand…said that everything was "apart of their plan" and that they'd always get Spider-Man back in the MCU.
…
…
…
Are you (bleeping) kidding me?! "All apart of their plan"? Really Sony? This…coming from the same people who were bragging out how "they didn't NEED Marvel/Disney" and that "they had their OWN universe for Spider-Man to be in"? Seriously?! Sony saying that is an insult to me. I'll tell you what this is…this is Sony trying to save face because they know how many people are pissed off at them for starting this nonsense:(
I'm…sorry. I just needed to get that out of my system.
Anyway…I hope you guys enjoy our Halloween chapter:)
Chapter Nineteen: The Outbreak
I yawned as I walked down the stairs. Man…I was feeling really tired tonight, and it wasn't even (really) nighttime yet!
Honestly… I blame Laura.
…
…
…
What? I do! Our parents had taken us to the park early afternoon, and she had us running around cheetahs! Seriously….we were at that park for hours, and might have rested…twenty minutes. If that!
So, yeah…I'm tired.
As I reached…downstairs, I saw Lincoln sitting at the couch. "Hey Lincoln," I greeted and waved.
"Oh, hey Lena," Lincoln waved back when he saw me.
"What're you doing?"
"A new episode of "ARGGH" is on tonight, so…I made sure to talk to mom and dad ahead of time, to make PERFECTLY sure that I won't miss it."
I tilted my head, "You…do know that you can just record "ARGGH", right?" (1)
"The list is full, even after I deleted as much of my stuff that I could. There's just…no room left. So…I have to watch this weekend's episode live," my brother explained.
"Oh," I replied. That made sense.
"You wanna watch with me?" Lincoln offered.
"Oh…um….no thank you. You know I'm not really good with…scary stuff, and whatnot," I replied, my cheeks beginning to heat up in embarrassment.
"You sure? It's not really a "scary show" per say…just a finding throughout the house for ghosts. Sure you don't wanna give it a try?"
"Thanks…but no. No thank you."
"Alright then, suit yourself," he shrugged, as he grabbed the remote. Just then, however..
"She shoots-!" Uh oh. Automatically knowing what was about to happen, I immediately dropped to the ground (so that my stomach was touching the floor) when I heard…those words. Mere moments after I did, I heard something "WHOOSH!" over my head…before it crashed into the wall (a few inches away from the TV). "Aw, dang it," I heard muttering behind me. Opening my eyes…I saw black sneakers in front of my face. "Uh, Lena?" Hearing my name, I looked up to see my sister Lynn staring down at me with crossed arms and a raised eyebrow, "What're you doing?"
"Trying to not get hit by your football," I "snarked" back, "Aren't you not supposed to be doing that in the house?"
"I…-," Lynn's eyes widened as she put her finger up, her eyes darting around the room as me and Lincoln stared at her. Suddenly, she ran over to her football and quickly hid it behind her back, "-don't know what you're talking about." Me and Lincoln shared a look, before the two of us simply shook our heads.
"LANA!" All three of us flinched at the sound of Lola's high-pitched scream (one that could put any Black Canary to shame). About…a second or two afterwards, said sister of ours (Lana, if you didn't know) came bolting down the stairs. A…doll in her hand? Lana looked at the three of us, and shushed us…before a HUGE smile broke out on her face and she leapt to the other side of the couch. "LANA!" We all flinched at the sound of Lola's voice (again) as she came stomping down the stairs, her fists clenched at her sides and a furious glare on her face. Her eyes scanned across the room, locking eyes with the small sliver of Lana's hat that was peaking out from the other side of the couch, "Lana! Get me back my DOLLIE!" When she said that last word, she pounced like a lion…colliding with Lana's form.
My two roommates were rolling across the floor, each of them clawing at each other like animals (Lola trying to get her doll back, and Lana, seemingly, doing whatever she had to do in order to keep the doll out of Lola's hands). I was about to make a comment…but, at the last second, closed my mouth and decided not to. Really…what was the point? I wasn't going to get them to stop fighting (and would, probably, just get myself hurt in the process).
"Girls! Girls! Stop it!" Dad came running out from his and Mom's room, quickly moving to pull the twins apart. Only to immediately get caught up in…whatever it was the twins were doing (besides fighting, of course).
"Girls! Give it a rest already! And let go of your father!" Mom said as she walked from upstairs, Lily babbling her (adorable) baby babble in her arms.
"Has anyone seen my sunglasses?" Leni asked as she walked down the stairs with Lori.
"They're literally on your head Leni," our eldest sister replied, not even looking up from her phone.
"Oh. Thanks Lori!"
Just then, Luna came sliding out of…literally nowhere (as far as I could tell) "Check out these sweet tunes, dudes!" She exclaimed just before she played a few notes on her guitar. I jumped…where'd she come from?!
"Hey, did you hear about the thief who stole a calendar? He got twelve months! HAHAHAHAHA! Get it?" I could hear Luan's joke as she came walking down the stairs, right behind Lisa (who was writing on a clipboard). I saw Lisa roll her eyes, and I couldn't help but giggle.
Just then…I looked around the living room for a bit. "Where's Lucy?" I asked…anyone who would answer.
"I've been here for the last four minutes," a voice suddenly ran out, causing all of us to jump into the air. Looking to the sound of said voice, I saw Lucy sitting on the couch…on the opposite end to Lincoln.
"We have GOT to put a bell on her!" Lynn called out, pointing to her roommate after picking up her football (having dropped it).
"Can everyone please go somewhere else? The newest episode of "ARGGH" is gonna come on any minute now!" Lincoln practically "whined". That's probably too rude though. I know that I can be the same way when someone is preventing me (and, by extension, Lincoln) from enjoying the newest episodes of the Arrowverse.
"Calm down twerp," Lori replied, once again), not looking up from her phone, "It's not that big of a deal. You'll be able to watch your weird show just fine."
"We interrupt this program to bring you breaking news, presented by Jackson Mitchells," a voice ran out from the TV.
"Ah, COME ON!" Lincoln cried out, throwing his head into his hands. Not knowing of anything else to do, I simply walked over…and patted him on his shoulder, comfortingly.
A man with fair skin, "pale" black hair (which was slightly starting to turn grey), and glasses, along with a nearly pressed blue jacket, white underneath, and black tie. "Jackson Mitchells here with a special report, coming directly from the Royal Woods Power Plant."
"The Power Plant," Dad spoke as he held the twins in each hand, "Wonder what could be going on there…".
"Reports have indicated of an…odd "illness" spreading through the facility. While this would normally be grounds for an investigation, I regret to inform you all that things took an…unfortunate turn. We give our viewers at home full warning…the images that you're about to see will be very disturbing, and aren't suitable for younger audiences."
Just then…the scene on the TV changed, to show (what I assumed to be) the inside of the Royal Woods Power Plant. A bunch of cops were shown, along with a bunch of Power Plant workers sitting around them. All of them didn't look well, they looked sick. They were all holding their stomachs, groaning as they were doing so.
There was…one person in particular, who looked a LOT worse then the others. It was a dark-skinned man in a white shirt, orange jacket, and beige shorts (2). The man was holding his head in both of his hands, and appeared to be…groaning in pain?
"Mister Johnson, can you tell us what happened here?" A black-haired woman asked a balding and somewhat…portly (not to be rude, of course!) man.
"Rest assured, we have EVERYTHING under control," the man ("Mister Johnson") replied with a smooth smile on his face, "An investigation is being performed to ensure that everything and everyone will be-." Suddenly…the man's groaning grew louder, just before he collapsed to the ground.
"TEDDY!" One of the workers quickly ran to his side, the others not far behind. "Teddy! What's wrong?!" The man, Teddy, didn't answer…he just kept breathing heavier and heavier as he held his head in his hands.
The (I assume) newswoman quickly moved past Johnson, "Sir! Are you alright?!" Teddy didn't respond, simply continued to breathe heavily. Eventually, however, he began making…growling noises? "Sir?" Just then…the man suddenly shoved his co-workers(?) out of the way (rather…violently, it looked like).
"Teddy! What are you doing?!" Johnson suddenly yelled out as he stomped towards Teddy. Said man responded by grabbing his boss (?) by the throat, and (effortlessly) tossed the man forward…towards the cameraman. The camera was knocked out of the person's and spun around, before…something seemed to happen. The final image that was "frozen" on the screen…was Teddy leaping (and…yelling?), black cracks forming on his skin and his eyes having lost their pupils.
The TV…was silent, and frozen for a few moments. All of us were completely silent as we just…stared at the image on the screen. The…haunting image on the screen. I could feel myself began to shake as I stared at the pupil-less man on the screen. After a few moments, I couldn't help but quickly move behind Lincoln's legs. I felt my brother's hand gently move to my head, but I didn't even react to it. Just…not even being able to take my eyes off of the screen.
It was truly frightening…but my eyes simply wouldn't leave the image (which I'm certain was burned into my mind forever).
After another moment or two, the image quickly changed back to Jackson Mitchells. The man couched into his hand and restacked the papers in his hand, "Police investigations have not yet allowed for a definite explanation for this…"strange" occurrence. Despite the uncertainty, it has been widely reported that all civilians to remain in their homes until everything has been understood and resolved. To repeat: ALL civilians are advised to remain within their homes until further notice. Thank You."
"And now…returned, to your regularly scheduled program." The voice from the beginning rang out, but I was hardly paying any attention.
"Well…that was…deeply unsettling," Dad spoke, "Well, I guess it's a good thing that the whole family's already indoors. "
Lori suddenly gasped out loud, "I have to call Bobby Boo Boo Bear, and make sure he's alright!" With that, she quickly ran upstairs (probably to her and Leni's room) as she went to her phone.
"What's going on daddy?" Lola asked, her and Lana holding onto dad's legs tightly (after he had let them go during the broadcast)…looking just as freaked out as I was.
Dad knelt down to their level, bringing the both of them in closer, "I'm afraid I don't for certain, girls."
"Zombie Apocalypse," Lucy bluntly stated, before looking around when she saw that all eyes were on her, "Really? I'm the only one who thought of it? Sickness beginning at the Power Plant? Men turning into feral creatures? If that's not the beginning of every zombie movie, I don't know what is." Z-Zombies?
"Oh please," Lisa rolled her eyes, finally looking up from her clipboard, "That's ridiculous. Because they're no such thing as zombies! They're purely mythological creatures."
"Not true," Lucy argued back, "Just because you refuse to believe that they exist, doesn't mean that they don't exist. Besides, aren't there like…a bunch of diseases that've been proved, by science, to cause effects similar to that of zombies?"
"Ones that could alter the skin or brain to what COULD be described as a "zombie-like" state. That doesn't mean that zombies are real! You read too much superstition," Lisa finished as her eyes went back to her clipboard.
"Fine," Lucy stood from the couch, "But…when flesh-eating undead creatures come looking to feast on our brains, expect "I told you so" to be the first words out of my mouth," she spoke as she walked towards (and up) the stairs. Lisa responded by simply rolling her eyes.
"L-Lucy is wrong, right?" I asked Lincoln as my grip on his pants tightened, "T-There are no z-z-zombies, right Lincoln?"
"Lena, don't tell me you're actually believing-," Lisa spoke, but was suddenly silenced when Lincoln held his hand up. The two of them stared at one another for a few moments, before Lisa shrugged, got up from the couch, and began walking upstairs (her nose buried in her clipboard the entire way).
Lincoln then knelt down to my level and threw his arm around my shoulders (to which I responded by leaning my head to his neck), "It's alright Lena. There're no zombies, I can promise. Besides," he looked all across the room before leaning closer to my ear, "You know how Lucy can get." I couldn't help but giggle at the small jab at my older sister…as much as I hated to admit it, Lincoln was (exactly) wrong. I giggled even louder when Lincoln poked my nose, "Ah…there's that Lena smile we all know and love." My cheeks reddened a bit at his…"wording", but, I've gotta admit, I felt a lot better my his reassurance. "Feeling better?"
"Yeah…a bit," I admitted.
"Need anything?" He offered.
"No. No thank you. I'm good. I'm gonna go call Laura up…to say hey." After a nod from my brother, I turned over and made my way to my (and the twins') room. Lincoln's right. It's fine.
It's fine.

(Third Person P.O.V)
Two people were walking down the sidewalk. A couple, holding hands as they enjoyed the cool night (which had nearly just happened) air.
"Ah…isn't the town just lovely this time of year?" The man all but flirted to his girlfriend, throwing his arm to the sky in a (purposely) dramatic fashion.
A small chuckle slipped through the woman's mouth before her expression became that of a frown, "I don't know Jack. I really don't think that we should be out here right now. Didn't you hear the news? There's something…weird going on at the Power Plant."
"Alex, calm down. It'll be fine. There was a…small sickness, that they have contained. What?" "Jack" smirked, "Don't tell me that you believe the "theory" that the real cause was some…outbreak of…mutants, or whatever it is that crazy people are saying?"
"Don't be ridiculous," Alex shot down, "But still…they said that everyone should stay in their homes. I really don't think we should be outside right now," she quickly spoke, as she looked over her shoulder.
Jack just laughed, throwing his arm over Alex's shoulder before pulling her closer to him, "Come on babe. It'll be fine. Trust me, nothing is gonna happen. I promise (3)." He pressed a kiss against his girlfriend's cheek, feeling her beginning to relax in his grip.
As Alex was ABOUT to make another comment, both young adults suddenly heard an…odd sound. "What was that?" Alex asked, more then a little freaked out.
"It was probably just a dog or something," Jack waved off, "You really need to relax." They then heard a…moan?
"That was not a dog," Alex shot back, both of them staring at where they'd heard the noise. Now, even Jack was looking a tad nervous. Jack took a step in front of Alex, and put his arm in front of her…signaling for her to stay back, as he began taking a few steps forward towards the spot where they both heard the sound. Jack was taking slow steps towards the spot, his hand in his pocket as he did so (4). He stepped a few steps outward from the bush, his eyes staring…heavily at the spot where the noise was coming from.
When he finally stopped moving, he peaked through the bushes…and cane across a man, huddled up tightly as he shivered (which was weird, since it wasn't even that cold outside). Jack (with a moment's hesitation) slowly pulled his hand outside of his pocket, "Hey man…you alright?" The man didn't reply, he just…kept on shivering. And making (what appeared to be)…growling noises? Jack took a step closer, while Alex looked on (a slightly…concerned look on her face). "Sir? Are you alright?" Jack held a hand out, prepared to put said hand on the man's shoulder, "Hey, dude." Just as Jack was about to place his hand on the man's shoulder…the man's hand shot out, and tightly seized ahold of Jack's wrist. "What the-?!" Before he could finish his thought, however, he heard…growling?
Slowly, the man turned around…revealing his pure white (pupil-less) eyes, and the black cracks on his face. Jack's own eyes widened in horror…mere moments before the man(?) pounced. Jack quickly put up his arm as the man opened his mouth, protecting his face and neck…but causing the man to sink his teeth into his (Jack's) arm.
Jack let out a scream of pain as he felt the man's teeth dug into his arms like fangs. "JACK!" Alex as she quickly rushed in to help her boyfriend, but the attacking man responded by simply ceasing her by the throat.
The attacker removed his mouth from Jack's arm, to which said man clutched his bloodied and injured arm. The attacker then slowly stood up, turning to glare at Alex with a glare and a growl (the blood on his teeth only made him look scarier).
"LET HER-AHHHHHH!" Jack tried to scream, but was quickly overwhelmed by an intense pain shooting through his arm. "What the hell did you do to me?!" He screamed out as he stared at his bloodied arm. Jack stared on as his wounds (astonishingly) healed themselves…just before black cracks began forming where they once were. Jack's hands went to his head, and he let out an earth-shattering scream. "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"
Alex reached out towards Jack, trying to say his name…but failing, due (in no small part) to the steel-like hand that was currently wrapped around her throat. She began wildly beating her hands on the attacker's arm, and kicking him in the chest as hard as she could…but the attacker simply tilted his head, seemingly…confused by the woman's attempts at freedom.
Heard more growling…Alex looked around, to see more of these…beings emerging from the darkness. Moving slowly, yet showing the same eyes and "skin complexion" as the first.
Alex heard another yell from Jack, this one…quieter then the first. Looking over at her beloved, she saw him slowly standing up. She saw the same lines spread across his body…just before his head shot up, revealing the same white eyes as the others. And that same animalistic growling as the others. Her eyes widened in horror as her glance slowly drifted back to the one currently holding her by her throat.
He lunged forward…as Alex screamed.

(Lena's P.O.V)
"Zombies? Coming from Lucy…that doesn't surprise me. SOMEHOW," I couldn't help but let out a chuckle slip through from Laura's jab at my older sister. The two of us were currently screen-timing, BTWs.
"Yeah, I guess. Still would have preferred that she not have lead with that after the news broadcast."
"What? Don't tell me you ACTUALLY believed her?" Laura asked, incredulously.
"N-No. Shut up!" I yelled, when I was that…irritating smirk on her face.
"In case you have to hear it from ME: zombies…aren't…real…Lena," she spoke slowly, like she was talking to an infant.
"Do I look like I'm laughing?" I deadpanned.
"I don't know…is that a little smile I see forming there?" She asked…to which I kept my deadpan expression, "Alright, fine then! BE that way!" She pouted and crossed her arms as she looked away, THAT…certainly caused me to laugh. "Yeah. Hahaha," she laughed out sarcastically. "Whatever," she then moved her head to the side a little bit, "Gotta go. Time for dinner."
"Alright. I-I'll talk to you later," I mentally berated myself for my stuttering, and really hoped that Laura didn't notice. She didn't seem to, as she simply waved…before she disappeared from my screen. I let out a small breath, just before throwing my head back onto my pillow. I heard a bark, and looked over to see Charles standing at the doorway, "Hey Charles," I weakly waved, to which he tilted his head (which I found just adorable). He walked up to my bed, and stood on his hind legs at the bed. I couldn't help but smile before I picked him up, to which he responded by licking my cheek (causing me to giggle). "Hey buddy," I scratched behind his ear, which I knew he enjoyed. "Just…thinking. About…a lot of stuff," I muttered as I couldn't to scratch behind his ear.
"Hey Lena," I looked at the door, to see Lana staring there, "Whatcha doing?"
"Nothing," I shrugged, "Not really, at least. You?"
Lana groaned, "Trying to find something interesting to do. I had planned to go out and play in the mud tonight. But…Mom and Dad won't let me. Because of this whole Power Plant…thing. So unfair!" Lana complained, crossing her arms as she glared at the ground.
"Well…it is probably for the best Lana," I…TRIED to explain to my sister. "What with…what's going on…and everything."
"Meh," Lana shrugged, "I really don't think that it's as serious as they claim. How bad can it really be?" In that exact moment, almost as if the universe itself heard Lana's words and took it as a challenge, the lights suddenly shut off…covering me, Lana, and Charles in darkness. "I DIDN'T DO IT!"
"AHHHHHHHHHH!" We flinched when we heard Leni screaming.
"WHAT HAPPENED?!" That was Lincoln.
"WHAT DO YOU THINK JUST HAPPENED, TWERP?!" And that…was Lori.
"OKAY….EVERYONE DOWNSTAIRS IMMEDIATELY!" We heard Dad's voice ring throughout the house. I quickly leapt from my bed and ran out of the room, grabbing ahold of Lana's hand as I did so.
When we came out of the room, virtually all of our siblings (that ones that were upstairs, anyway) came out of their respective rooms. Most of them were using their phones as a source of light.
"Who turned out the lights?!" Lynn asked incredulously, one hand on her head and the other holding a baseball. Lucy was standing next to her, using her phone as a flashlight with her usual impassive expression on her face, "I was throwing around my baseball when everything suddenly went dark!"
"Well…the power went out," Lori answered, rolling her eyes, "Obviously."
"Well then, why did the lights go out if you're so smart?!" Lynn yelled.
"KIDS!" We heard Mom's voice ring out through the house, "DOWNSTAIRS, NOW!" With that, we all quickly ran our way down the stairs.
Well…they did, I waited for them all to go down first (as I knew that I'd get trampled otherwise).
When we got down the stairs, we saw our parents standing in the living room.. with Lily in mom's arms, and both Luan and Lola standing near them both. "Alright kids," Dad spoke, "We're not completely certain as to what's going on right now. Other then that the powers has gone out, of course."
"What's the big deal?" Luna asked, "The weather's not even whacking out or anything."
Leni suddenly gasped, before quickly latching onto Lori, "Is it the zombies?!" I began to shiver.
Lori rolled her eyes and sighed, "No Leni, there are no zombies," she then turned to glare at Lucy, "See what you started?"
"I just said my thoughts," Lucy pointed out, "It isn't my fault if people agree with me."
"But it is your fault for starting it!"
"That's enough! Both of you!" Mom suddenly yelled out, "Lori, leave your sister alone. Lucy, stop spreading things that you don't know are true."
"It could be true," Lucy muttered quietly to herself.
"Was this because of what happened at the Power Plant?" Lincoln asked Lisa (with her, definitely, being the smartest member of the family).
Lisa out a hand to her chin and hummed to herself, "I don't think so. At least…it shouldn't have, otherwise we would have noticed something happening earlier." Her eyes narrowed as she scratched her chin and stared at the floor.
"Well.. regardless," Dad said, "I'm gonna go down to the basement, and see what I can do down there."
"I'll come with dad," Lana offered as she pulled a toolbox out of…somewhere?
"Me too," Lisa spoke up, "I'll see if there's anything…specific going on.
"Alright then," Dad nodded, "Everyone else stay here. Find some flashlights, and…see if you can find any news about this power outage." With that, he headed into the kitchen (where the door to the basement was)…Lana and Lisa following closely behind him.
"Okay," Mom spoke, "Lori and Leni…I want you both to check the news. Luna, Luan, and Lynn…go look for some flashlights. Lincoln and Lucy…you know what? Go get the waters from the garage, not sure how long we'll have to be like this." With a symphony of nods, all of my older siblings (which the exclusion of Lola) raced off to do what mom said. "Lena," I perked up at the mention of my name, "Can you hold Lily for me?" I nodded, and took my youngest sister from her arms, "Thank you sweetie," she took out her phone, "I'm gonna see if I can get in contact with the Ferraras and the Bensons." She then walked away into the kitchen.
I proceeded to sit on couch with Lily, Lola sitting down next to us (checking out her hair in her handheld mirror. A HUGE surprise, isn't it?). I'd be lying if I said I wasn't more then a little freaked out. The news, Lucy's words, and now a blackout? All those put together equals a VERY on edge Lena.
What? It doesn't take much to freak me out. I'm five years old, what'd you expect?
Just then…I felt a small tug on my shirt. Looking down, I saw Lily staring at me with those big (doe-like) eyes of hers.. before she started giggling, "Le-Le!" I couldn't prevent the smile that appeared on my face even if I tried. I scratched a bit under Lily's chin, causing her to giggle even more.
She really does know how to make someone feel better.

(Third Person P.O.V)
Lynn Sr. was walking through the basement, guiding his way with his phone's flashlight as Lana and Lisa followed close by. "There we go," Lynn Sr. spoke after finding the circuit breaker. He flipped it one way, and then back…but nothing happened. He flipped it a few more times, but nothing happened. "Dang it."
"Don't worry Dad," Lana stretched out, cracking her fingers as she did so, "I'm on it." As she stepped in front of the circuit breaker and set down her toolbox in front of said circuit breaker…there was a sudden…growling-like noise rang out through the room.
"Was that your stomach Lana?" Lisa asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Noooooooooo," Lana droned out, before her eyes scanned the current room, "Did Charles come down here?"
"No, Charles should still be upstairs," Lynn Sr. replied. This sentence caused Lana to take on a slightly…uncertain expression on her face.
"So then…w-what was that?"
Lisa sighed, and smacked her face with her hand, "It was probably just the pipes, or the wood. You know how…"difficult" this house is," she pointed out, referring to the house's age and…"instability".
"A-Are you sure?" Lisa sighed (again) as she pinched the bridge of her nose. She knew exactly what this was.
"Lana…you do realize that there're no such thing as zombies, right?"
"Zombies?" Lynn Sr. asked, before turning to his elder daughter, "Is that what this is about?"
"N-No. I-I'm just saying…a lot of weird things have been happening lately. How do we know what's going on?"
"Simple logic, and using our minds," Lisa commented snidely. Suddenly…there was a loud "THUMP!". One that almost seemed to shake the room that they were in.
Lana quickly latched onto her father's legs, "W-What was that?!"
Lynn Sr. picked her up and pulled her into a hug, gently patting her on the back, "It's alright, honey. Like your sister said, it's an old house. Noises…happen," truth be told, the Loud Patriarch wasn't so sure that there wasn't…something out there. But, he was trying not to freak out his kids. Just then, he swore that he saw movement (of some kind) in a small window near the floor. "Both of you stay here," he told his daughters as he set Lana down. With slight hesitation…he began (slowly) walking towards the window. He knelt down and peered through said window, seeing nothing but grass and the night sky.
Well…almost nothing besides those things.
Lynn Sr.'s eyes narrowed as he saw…something lying on the grass. Something big and long. As he tried to figure out exactly what is was that he was looking at, he (unconsciously) began moving his face closer and closer to the window.
Just then…something shot open, revealing pure white orbs in the darkness. It took the man a moment to realize…that they were eyes. The Loud Patriarch let out a (rather girlish) yell, before turning around, grabbing ahold of both of his daughters, and spending up the stairs.

"You guys actually think Lucy may be onto something?" Luna asked Luan and Lynn as they all pulled out the flashlights from the former two's room (having already gone through the others), "I mean…we can't deny that things have been pretty weird around here, dudes."
"Meh, I wouldn't give it too much thought," Lynn waved off, "You know how Lucy gets. Overactive imagination…and whatnot. Probably all those weird books, and "artifacts" she has. Zombies?" She chuckled, "I don't think so."
Luna rolled her eyes, "Well…you aren't exactly in a place to judge based on what they believe in, "Ms. Superstitious"."
"It's not superstition if it's real!"
"Uh…guys?" Both sisters turned towards Luan, who was staring (wide-eyed) out the window. "Are squirrels supposed to be that big?" She asked, pointing out with a shaking hand. Both "tomboy-ish" girls quickly ran to her side, staring out the window…to find a large "creature" seeming to sit in the branches of a tree.
Suddenly…the figure slowly moved, revealing pure white eyes. These eyes stared at the three Loud sisters before their mouth opened, revealing teeth dripping with blood. "AHHHHHHHHH!" All girls let out a scream, before bolting out of the room as fast as their legs could carry them.

Lena and Lola flinched when they heard screams run through the house, and quickly grabbed onto one another in fear. Lily was scared by the noise, and looked ready to cry…so her two older sisters were quick to comfort her to the best of their abilities.
In a few seconds…the entire Loud family was together in the living room.
"We saw something! There was this…guy with white eyes and bloody teeth hanging on the tree outside Luna and Luan's room!" Lynn yelled out.
"White eyes?" Lynn Sr. asked, "I saw someone like just outside basement."
Lucy turned towards Lisa, "I told you so."
"Oh, shut up! There're NO such thing as zombies!"
"Then how do you explain what everyone saw?"
Before the two could continue, it was Leni that interrupted them, "Hey," she spoke, staring out the window, "Is that…Laura?"

(Lena's P.O.V)
My eyes widened when I heard Leni's words. I (carefully of course) placed Lily down and ran to the door, opening it even as I heard my parents and siblings calling my name behind me. When I opened the door…I saw that Leni was right.
Even from here, I recognized the tan skin, black hair, and (most importantly) green outfit of my best friend.
Before ANYONE could stop me, I bolted out into the night. "Laura!" I called as I got closer, "Laura! Are you okay?! What happened?! Why are you over and out here alone?!" I frantically asked…but, she didn't answer. She just kept shaking, and breathing heavily.
"Lena!" I turned and saw Lori running (sort of) up to me, "You shouldn't just run off like that," she reprimanded, "Do you have any idea how stupid that was?!" She yelled in that voice that I recognized to be the one she uses when she's angry…but also worried. She then turned to Laura, "Laura? Are you alright?" She put a hand on her shoulder, "What happened?" Suddenly, and without any warning whatsoever…Laura turned around and (to my complete astonishment) bit down on Lori's hand! "AHHHHHHHHH!" Lori screamed in pain as she pulled her (now bloody) hand back towards her. She was about to turn and yell…until the both of us stared on in shock by what we saw.
Laura stood there, on all fours…snarling like an animal, her teeth bloody, her eyes white, and black cracks along her skin. She let out a small roar…just before we heard noise. Looking around, we saw people who looked exactly like how Laura did. All of them snarling like animals, and their body moving in ways that I know couldn't have been possible…for humans.
My eyes widened and I was frozen, as Lori grabbed my hand and started running towards the house. My shocked eyes never left Laura's (now) mindless ones, up until the moment where the door slammed shut.
"Oh my God! Are you girls okay?!" Mom asked, bending down and placing her hands on my head to examine me.
"Lori! Your hand!" Leni cried out, everyone now looking at Lori's bleeding hand.
"What happened?!"
"Laura…BIT ME!" Lori practically screamed out an answer to our brother's question, clutching her injury and looking like she was trying very hard to keep from screaming out.
"Can someone, anyone, tell me what's going on?!" Lynn called out.
"Zombie," I muttered to myself, though…I think that everyone heard me, because everything went silent.
"You see what you did Lucy?!" Lynn responded by yelling at her roommate, "Now you got Lena freaked out because you couldn't keep your crazy thoughts to yourself!"
Suddenly…there was a loud "BANG!" against the door. All of us turned around and backed up, seeing the door constantly being beaten by…something from the outside. Just then, an opened up suddenly shot through the door. Said hand tore a chunk of the door off, revealing a single white eye glaring at us from the outside.
"EVERYONE UPSTAIRS! NOW!" I think Dad called out, but I hardly heard. I was…frozen. Staring on (in terror) at the…"people" (a term that I don't even know is correct) that were tearing down our door, monstrous expressions on their faces.
"LENA!" I was shaken out of my freezing (figuratively and literally) by Leni, who currently had her hands on my shoulders, "Come on! We need to get Lori and move!" Before I could comment, Leni then suddenly howled in pain! I shook my head out to that Lori had bitten Leni on the shoulder, her (Lori's) skin and eyes like…Laura and the others.
That shook me out of my stupor, "LENI!"
"Lena…," it sounded like it pained Leni to talk as Lori brought her to the ground. Lori released her grip on our sister's shoulder…and turned her gaze to me, growling lowly with blood on her teeth. Leni, suddenly (in a quick burst of energy), wrapped her arms around Lori and used her weight to push our eldest sister to the ground, "RUN!"
Another "BANG!" rang through the door, tearing more of it off its hinges. Suddenly…an arm wrapped around my waist and lifted me up before bolting up the stairs. The last thing I saw was black cracks forming on Leni's body, and the fact that she started breathing heavier then before.
A door closed in front of me…and I realized that I was in the room I shared with the twins, Lynn being the one to have gotten me from downstairs.

(Third Person P.O.V)
"There are zombies! There are zombies in the house! Why are there zombies in the house?!" Lincoln seemingly panicked, his hands running through his hair.
"THERE ARE ZOMBIES IN THE HOUSE!" The twins cried out as they held onto one another. Lena, the final roommate of the room the (remaining) family was currently in, was sitting on the ground…her eyes being wide as she'd "clutched" her body close together, Luna being the one to try and comfort her younger sister.
"Lucy was right?!" Lynn called out, "Are you kidding me?!" Lisa was simply staring at the ground…a thoughtful expression on her face.
"It doesn't matter who's right or wrong," Rita said, before she turned to her husband, "Honey, we need to do something!"
"I'm not sure what it is we can do!" Lynn Sr. cried out, "I've never exactly planned for a zombie outbreak, you know!"
"I have an idea," everyone turned their gaze to Lisa.
"You didn't even believe in zombies till mere minutes ago," Lincoln called out, "How can you already have a plan to deal with it?!"
"I didn't believe it supernatural creatures, and still don't! But…it's clear that everyone is effected through some manner of virus (no doubt from the incident at the Power Plant). And that…I do have a plan for."
"What?" Luan asked.
"Recently…I've been working on an elixir that (upon completion) is meant to cure all known and unknown diseases that could effect humans. If I'm able to get a strand of DNA from…those people and we're able to get to mine and Lily's room, I should be able to concoct an antidote for whatever affliction is effecting them." (5)
"Are you sure that's gonna work Lisa?" Lynn Sr. asked his daughter.
"Those…people will be rampaging through our house any moment now. If any of you have any better suggestions…now's your time to comment," she replied. Everyone (with the exception of Lena and Lily) stared a look…before realizing that Lisa made a fair point.
"If we're really going to do this…we need to move like, right now dudes," Luna spoke, her arms still around Lena. Lynn Sr. glared at the ground, hands on his hips as he thought about everything Lisa said. He shut his eyes…and sighed, running a hand over his face.
"Fine. Personally, I don't like this…but, it's not like I have any better ideas. Okay," he dropped his fist onto his other hand, "Kids…your mother and I are going to go out first to make sure it's safe," he shared a look and a nod with his wife, "All of you…stay behind us."
"No matter what," Rita finished, "Is that clear?" She got multiple nods in response, "Make sure that you all stay quiet. Lincoln…do the best you can to keep your sister as quiet as possible," she told her son, who was currently holding Lily. With a nod from him…Rita and her husband both walked towards the door. With one last shared look, the two adults opened the door.
The coast appeared to be clear…though, the noise downstairs (smashing and growling) made it clear that the "peacefulness" wasn't going to last much longer (6). "Let's go!" Lynn Sr. "whisper-yelled" to his children, who responded by quickly running to Lisa and Lily's room (with Lena being held in Luna's arms). "AHHHHHHH!" Everyone turned to see that one of the zombies had leapt onto Lynn Sr.'s back, and sunk their teeth into his shoulder…taking him to the ground. (7)
"LYNN!" Rita cried out, before her eyes widened in shock, "BROCK?!"
That's right…the zombie that had attacked her husband…was Brock Benson. The dark-skinned boy slowly looked up to glare at the shocked Loud members, tilting his head to the side as he growled like a beast.
Rita quickly turned back, "GET IN, AND LOCK THE DOOR!" No sooner than she said that, Brock leapt onto her next…this time, sinking his teeth into her neck (though, not enough to wear he'd kill her).
"MOM/MOMMY!" Lana and Lola ran towards their mother and Brock, feeling worry for the former and anger for the latter…despite their siblings' attempts to stop them. They seemed to be attempting to attack Brock (in…whatever capacity possible)…but the zombie boy responded by clawing at the twins, sending them into the wall.
"BROCK!" Lynn yelled in pure rage, her baseball bat at the ready to swing. Brock responded, however, by effortlessly catching the bat in his hand. Lynn's eyes shot open in shock, before they slowly drifted upwards to meet the feral eyes of her snarling neighbor. "Sorry about this Brock," Lynn muttered (as Brock raised his hand into the air) as she shut her eyes, and threw a punch forward.
Brock's eyes SHOT open, to the (literal) size of dinner plates. A small, whining noise left his mouth…before he slowly fell backwards.
"Lynn!" Lisa called out from the room, "Is Brock down?"
"Yes," she looked at the downed boy in sympathy, a guilty look on her face, "He's…down." .
"I need some DNA in order to create the antidote!" Lynn stared at Brock's body for a moment…before taking ahold of Brock's hair, and tearing out a chunk of it before racing to the room.

(Lena's P.O.V)
"Lisa! What's the plan here?" Luna asked, as Lisa quickly went to her desk (after Lynn had handed her the.. hair that she'd gotten from Brock!). When I looked over to see what was on Lisa's desk, seeing her pull out a machine the size of a cubed basketball (if that made any sense), a microscope, a scrap comprised of tools, and a vial with purple liquid in it.
"Just guard the door, and let me work!" She practically screamed out as took a tool in her hand before pouring a small portion of the "vial liquid" into the ("cubed basketball") machine.
I looked around the room. Lincoln was cradling/comforting Lily in his arms. Lucy was sitting on Lisa's bed, looking even more depressed then usual, with Luan sitting next to her (placing a comforting hand on her shoulder). And the twins…were hugging each other in the corner, their eyes shut as they breathed (a tad) heavily.
"Hey," I turned to see Luna kneeling down near me, before she sat against the wall next to me, "You alright dude?"
"I…I…I-," I couldn't get the words out. It was…a wide combination of emotions that I was feeling right now. Before I could continue my stuttering, I felt myself being pulled into a hug by my rocker sister…one that I gladly accepted, and even more gladly returned.
"It'll be okay, Lena," she whispered to me as she gently ran her hand through my hair, "You know Lisa's a smart girl. She'll fix everything."
"I hope so," I whispered back, it taking all of my strength to keep my voice from breaking (and I'm still certain that it was breaking even while I was talking). It was more then just fear. It was, primarily…worry. For Brock. For Lori. For Leni. For Mom and Dad. For…Laura. For everyone.
When we pulled away, Luna looked down at me with a calm smile on her face (one that's usually uncommon on the face of my "rocker/rebel" sister). She ruffled my hair before moving down and pressing a kiss against my forehead. A small smile crept its way onto my face, I'd be lying if I said that I didn't feel any better.
"So, how's the plan supposed to work?" Lincoln asked after a few moments.
"My elixir was originally designed to cure all diseases that can effect humans. At least…it would, if not in its test stages. By using those people's DNA, I should be able to…alter my elixir (to a degree), in order to create an antidote to cure everyone of…whatever it is that ails them," she spoke as she examined the hair underneath the microscope, as she filled a turkey baster with a small degree of her elixir.
"Hey, guys," we all turned to the sound of Luan's voice, "I think something is up with Lana and Lola." I (a tad reluctantly) pulled myself away from Luna to examine my two roommates. Luan had her arms wrapped around them, while the twins themselves were leaning against her. They seemed to be sweating, and breathing a tad heavier then usual.
When I looked over them, however, my eyes narrowed…before widening when I saw something on their bodies that wasn't supposed to be there.
"What happened?!" I quickly asked them when I saw scratches on their bodies. I was about to touch them…but stopped a few inches from doing so (not wanting to hurt them).
"Nothing," Lana shook her head, "We're…we're fine," she breathed out.
"Yeah.. what she said," Lola spoke, sounding just as exhausted. Luna walked up and placed a hand on their foreheads.
"I don't like it. You guys don't feel right at all. May have gotten something when Brock scratched you…Lisa, how's that antidote coming?"
"Just hold on," Lisa replied, "Almost there. Just…a moment longer."
"Exactly how long would that "moment" be?" Luan asked, "I'm not sure how much-."
Suddenly…to my complete and utter shock, I watched Lana and Lola leap onto Luna and Luan's (respective) shoulders and take them to the ground. I heard my eldest sisters scream.
"What are you guys doing?!" I screamed at my roommates, in a rather…uncharacteristic manner then how I normally am. Suddenly…I saw them look up to meet my eyes, and I was frozen in fear.
Their skin and eyes…it was the same as…them. They were growling lowly, their teeth bloody (I looked down and saw wounds on Luna and Luan's shoulders) and them pushing Luna and Luan's heads down with their hands.
"RUN!" Luna screamed out, before gasping in pain. I was frozen where I stood, to consumed with shock and fear to move…which, eventually, lead to Lola pouncing near me like an animal. Before she could reach me, however, Lynn (had raced forward) had wrapped her arm around Lola's waist and tossed her into Lana.
"Sorry Lola!" Lynn commented, before picking me up by wrapping her arm around my waist. "Let's go!" She called out, her bat in hand. I saw Lincoln wrap his arms tightly around Lily, and Lucy help Lisa with the supplies on her desk…before Lynn quickly sped to the door, me in tow.
When we were brought into the hallway, I saw Brock on the ground…stomach to the ground. Just then…Brock smacked a hand into the floor (causing me to flinch), before picking himself up on all fours. He growled menacingly as he slowed turned his head to meet us.
"H-Hey Brock," Lynn spoke as she placed me behind her with everyone else, holding her bat in front of her, "No hard feelings…right?" Brock slowing moved forward as he continued to growl. Just then, however…someone else leaped from down the stairs.
My own eyes widened in shock, sadness, and horror, "Bailey?!"
Yes…the person that had jumped up was Bailey Benson, looking the same as everyone else. I noticed that Ben was almost…infected (which made a tear escape my eye), holding onto Bailey's shoulder and snarling like a rapid dog.
"EVERYONE TO THE ATTIC!" Lisa called out, with Lynn quickly leaping up and pulling the stairs to the attic down. Brock charged forward, but Lynn was quick to react by smacking him across the face. As I was forced up the stairs, I saw Lisa pull…something from her pocket, and threw it to the ground. When I had climbed into the attic, I saw a plum of smoke burst out from…whatever it is that she threw towards the ground. "Close the door!" Lisa yelled out (in a way that's uncharacteristic for her) after we'd all gotten into the attic, the area below being completely coated in smoke (the fact that I could hear growling with seeing anything.. only made things worse then they already were). As Lynn and Lincoln went to shut the door…something had burst up from the smoke. Turning around…"coldness" enveloped by body when I saw what it is that had leapt from the bottom.
Laura.
My best friend turning around on all fours, snarling menacingly as she glared at us with the intensity of a thousand suns. "L-Laura," the word escaped my lips, despite my best attempt to stop it.
Laura's gaze shot to meet my own, and…I was frozen in shock, unable to move in any capacity.
Our gazes locked. My breathing starting to quicken, as she snarled like a beast. Just then…she leapt at me.
Before she could reach me, however, Lynn suddenly came forward and rammed her shoulder into Laura's chest…sending her sprawling across the floor.
"Lisa…antidote!" Lucy uncharacteristically yelled, panic beginning to creep into her voice (8).
"Almost there," Lisa spoke as she continued her work, "Hold her down. I'm gonna use it on her first." Lynn nodded, before leaping at Laura….sending them both fi the ground. Lynn quickly moved behind Laura, before grabbing her into a full nelson… wrapping her legs around Laura's waist. Laura was snarling and biting at the air, but couldn't break herself from Lynn's grasp (9).
"Is she gonna be okay?" I asked Lisa, concerned as I watched my friend struggle in my sister's grip.
"Yes," Lisa answered, filling a syringe with (what is now) green liquid housed in a larger beaker, "If my calculations are correct (which they usually are), this serum should nullify the virus infecting everyone."
"Hey…can you hurry it up Lis?" Lynn spoke, gritting her teeth as she continued to hold Laura (the task appearing to be more difficult then originally thought).
"Give," I said to Lisa, holding my hand out with a serious look on my face. She looked surprised (probably by my expression), before that dropped and she placed the syringe in my hand. I quickly went up to my snarling, clawing friend, "Sorry Laura," I apologized before driving the syringe near her neck, injecting the liquid a moment later.
Laura began snarling and moving around even more wildly them before, her tells increasing in volume (it made me feel a pain in my heart, but I knew that it had to be done). Eventually…my eyes widened as I saw the cracks along her body slowly begin to fade. After a few more moments…she went limp in Lynn's grasp.
I quickly dropped the syringe and placed my hands on the side of Laura's head, "Laura! Laura! Are you okay?!"
"Why are you yelling?" Laura weakly spoke as she picked her head up. She slowly opened her eyes, meeting my shocked and joyful ones, "What happened?"
"LAURA!" I couldn't help myself. I threw my arms around Laura's neck and pulled her into a tight hug, tears starting to come out of my eyes.
I could tell that she was confused, by the way that her arms slowly (and unsurely) wrapped around me too, "Hey…Lena. What…what happened? Why am I in your attic?" Suddenly, a roar broke our moment, "And what was that?!"
"Zombies," Lincoln answered, "Long story. Lisa," he turned to our sister, "How do we fix everything?"
"Now that I know for certain that the antidote works successfully, all I need is-," suddenly, an arm burst from the blocked attic door…and seized Lisa by her leg.
"LISA!" We all called out, me and Lincoln being the ones to grab ahold of our younger sister's hands. Although we pulled as hard as we could, we could feel our feet sliding across the floor.
"Don't worry about me!" Lisa called out, "You need to get the antidote!"
"We can't leave you!" I called out.
"You have to. Pour the antidote into the opening on top of the wider, black machine…and then press the red button," our feet had slid to the very opening of the door, "You have to be on the roof so the antidote can spread across the entire town! Do it! NOW!" At that moment…another hand shot up, and pulled Lisa downwards.
"LISA!" I lunged towards her, but Lincoln held me back. He then tilted a bunch of (heavy) boxes onto the door (blocking the zombies for a time).
"You heard her! We need go!"
"I got this," Lynn said, pouring the antidote into Lisa's machine…before picking it up, "I'll take it to the roof."
"No," I said, my serious expression back on my face. I walked up to take ahold of Lisa's machine, "I'm gonna do it."
"WHAT?!" Everyone yelled.
"Absolutely not!" Lynn yelled, "There's no way we're gonna let you go on the roof Lena!"
"She's right," Lincoln answered, "Why would you even think that?!"
"Because I have to do something!" I couldn't help but yell, my emotions finally coming to the surface. Fear, concern, depression.. all coming out, more intensely then I would have planned otherwise. My tiny fists were clenched as I shut my eyes tightly, "I haven't done anything, I've been completely useless this entire time! I'm the one that got Leni and Lori infected, and I've been sitting on my hands since! Everyone else has tried to do something, and I've just been sitting like a rock!" After a moment….I opened my eyes and looked up to meet the gazes of my two (current) eldest siblings. I was certain that tears were coming down my eyes, but I didn't care, "I need to do this. I need to do something. And those zombies are gonna be up any minute now. We need as many people holding them back as possible, and I'm not gonna be useful in that regard!" Lynn got down to a knee, and looked me in the eyes. I could see one of her hands clenched into a fist as she glared, and I prepared for a verbal lashing right back.
Only to be surprised when she pulled me into a tight hug, "I hate you so much right now," she spoke, before pulling away and quickly wiping her eyes (I knew why, but I didn't comment).
"I'm going too," Laura said, standing up, "To be blunt…I have no clue as to what's going on right now. But…," she looked to me, "I trust you Lena, and knew that you'd never joke about something like "zombies". And with this being real…I'm not gonna let you do something so crazy and stupid," the serious expression on her face broke out into the smirk that I knew and loved (and hated, on occasion), "At least…not without your best buddy." A (genuine) smile broke out on my face, and I had to wipe my eyes.
Our "moment" was ruined when zombie hands suddenly burst through the door, and through the objects that Lincoln had covered said door with.
"You two move!" Lincoln called as he picked up a golf club, "We'll hold them off! Remember…once you're on the roof, press the red button!" More hands shot through, and the door was gonna be torn off its hinges, "GO, NOW!"
Laura took ahold of my hand and began pulling me to the attic's window. As she worked on the window, I looked back at my…"remaining" siblings. Lynn and Lincoln stood at the ready (a baseball bat and golf club in hand respectively), while Lucy stood more so in the back…using her entire body to cover Lily.
"Come on!" I was snapped out of my musing by Laura, who was already stepping outside. Hearing a noise, I saw that the zombies had broken through. I quickly handed the device to Laura, and the last image I saw of my siblings was Lynn and Lincoln using their "weapons" to keep them at bay (with Lucy throwing whatever was within arms-reach).
My hands clenched into fists…but, I knew that I had to focus. Me and Laura get this done…and everyone will be okay.
I shut the window as I held onto the roof. Normally, I'd be so scared that I'd be unable to move. But…there were more important things to do right now. Call it adrenaline, love, or something else entirely…but, I'll tell you one thing: there was no room for fear in my body.
"Lena!" Looking to Laura, I saw her staring frighteningly at the ground. Turning my head…my own eyes widened when I saw that some of the zombies on our lawn had taken notice of us.
"MOVE!" I yelled at Laura. I normally didn't like to yell…but we LITERALLY had no time for kindness right now. The two of us (each aiding in the moving of the machine) quickly moved up the roof, as I could hear (and feel) the zombies begin to leap onto the house.
With a push, we managed to get ourselves on the top of the roof. "LOOK OUT!" Laura tackled me (and that machine) away, mere moments before one of the zombies landed where we once stood.
Suddenly…the zombie threw a hand forward, and grabbed ahold of Laura's ankle before pulling her towards them. "LAURA!"
"JUST PRESS THE BUTTON!" She screamed out, before leaning up and biting down onto the zombie's wrist (causing the zombie to roar in pain, before they began shaking her around). Hearing a low growling behind me, I slowly turned…coming face-to-face with…
"Dad," I whispered to myself, feeling more sadness envelope my being. When my eyes focused behind him, I saw Mom…crawling over the chimney, like an animal. "Mom," I felt more tears falling down my cheeks.
Dad just stood there, snarling menacingly at me…before lunging forward, trying to bite me. I was (surprisingly) quick to avoid his teeth, landing on my back…before (with MUCH regret) driving my feet into his throat. Sorry Dad, I hated doing that, but I had a task to achieve. With Dad distracted by the sudden influx of pain, I quickly ran past him. Mom leapt at me (like a lioness), but I was (again, surprisingly) quick to duck underneath my mom's attack (causing her to go crashing into Dad).
As I saw more zombies emerge out of the corners of my eyes (including the Bensons and many of my own sisters) and seeing one of the zombies ready to bite Laura (again!)…I SLAMMED down on the red button on the machine.
And that's when everything…went green.

(The Next Day)
Despite how heavy my eyelids felt, I used all my strength to open them.
I shut them immediately, however, feeling the bright sun burning my eyes. "Guys!" I flinched when I heard a yell, "She's awake!" After a few more moments (hearing multiple footsteps practically thumping into…wherever I was)…I slowly opened my eyes, seeing my parents, sisters, and brother standing over me. "How're you feeling Lena?" Lana (I recognized as the one who called out to everyone) asked me.
"My head hurts," I softly whined, placing a hand on my head. Suddenly, my eyes SHOT open as I remembered everything, "Laura!" I shot up.
"Easy there kiddo," Dad replied, gently pushing me back onto the bed that I was on, "It's alright. Laura is fine."
I thought of something, "Did…what I think happened, actually happened? Or…w-was I dreaming?"
"You mean me proving Lisa wrong about the zombie outbreak?" Lucy asked, a small (slightly arrogant) smile tugging at her lips, "No…not a dream."
"May I point out…that I still don't call them "zombies", as in the supernatural entities that you believe in," Lisa pointed out, before turning to me, "But yes, what you believe happened actually happened. It appears that you were successful in curing the…people," she quickly glared at Lucy, "Of their affliction."
"Yeah, that was some pretty cool work you did there Lena," Lynn said, throwing her arm around my shoulders, "When me and Link (and Lucy, I guess) were holding back the zombies, we suddenly saw a bright green light. Then…all the zombies started spazzing out, before they just collapsed. Those lines on their skin disappeared, and they were back to normal when they woke up."
I nodded, "What about Laura? And the Bensons? And anything on Mr. And Mrs. Ferrara?"
Mom knelt down and put a hand on my shoulder, "They're all okay. After your father and I woke up, we made sure to get the two of you and everyone else off of the roof. Not too long after, we found Mr. And Mrs. Ferrara having woken up.. as well as Mr. and Mrs. Benson. They're all okay. We offered to let them all stay here for a bit, but they said they were alright to leave. And, I got messages from both Jessica and Victoria that them and their families are okay not seven minutes ago. Everyone is okay (10)," I sighed in relief when Mom said that, before that sigh quickly turned into a yawn. Guess I was still tired. "Alright…we're gonna let you get some more rest," she bent down and pressed a kiss against my forehead, before standing up, "You can talk to Laura later. Alright everyone," she spoke to my siblings, "Out of the room. Lena needs to rest." Before leaving, all of my siblings gave me a hug (which made me feel better, I won't lie) and some words of either relief (that I was okay) or praise (for what I did) before leaving (Lynn called me the "Zombie Slayer". I won't lie...that's something I kinda like).
"Get some sleep kiddo," Dad was the last one to leave, ruffling my hair a bit before walking up and closing the door. My eyes only stayed open for a few more moments, before I felt them growing heavier. Eventually…sleep overtook me.
(Author's Note: Annnnnnnnnd scene! What'd ya think?:)
Sorry if the latter half was…a tad slow. I was pretty pressed to get this done for Halloween, and…I may not have done things as well as I could have. Hopefully, it's still enjoyable.
(1): This is something that I've always thought of when I watch episodes of show that feature characters who're REALLY trying to watch their show. Why don't you just record it? I know that they may not have it…but, I'm just saying:/
(2): It's the end of the workday, so they're outside of their uniforms:/
(3): How many times have you heard that in fiction?;)
(4): He had a pocket knife in his pocket, and was preparing to use it. If there was danger, of course.
(5): Lisa doesn't believe in zombies as supernatural creatures. She just believes that there's some kind of disease that's being transmitted through Royal Woods, and that her experiment could cure everyone with a better understanding of what it is that's affecting them.
(6): The reason that the zombies still hadn't gotten into the house is because they were all (basically) throwing themselves randomly into the front and onto one another. If they'd only been a bit smarter, they'd realized their own strength…and would figure out that they'd be able to (easily) tear the door off its hinges.
(7): This is the zombie that Luna, Luan, and Lynn had seen in the tree earlier. They had broken into Luna and Luan's room in the chaos, and that's how they'd snuck so high up in the house.
(8): I get that Lucy is a…unique child. But, with everything that's happened (including more than half of her family being converted into zombies), I really don't think that Lucy would (realistically) have any enjoyment by what's happening (she is only eight years old guys).
(9): The zombies have enhanced strength, but Laura is only a five year old girl. Lynn, on the other hand, is almost three times her age. Not to mention, she spends no less then 90% of her life working out and playing sports. That's why she's able to hold Laura back (though, she wouldn't be able to do the same with some older and natural stronger).
(10): While there were some injuries through Royal Woods, no one died during the "Zombie Outbreak".
I was gonna include the Bensons to be more involved...but, there wasn't enough time and there were too many characters as is.
-Time to continue our little "Arrowverse Talks". This time, we'll be talking about the most recent episodes for all of the shows (two episodes, in the instances of Arrow and The Flash). Basically…if you're not all caught up with the recent episodes of Batwoman, Supergirl, Black Lightning, Arrow, and The Flash, then don't read further.

…
…
Good? Good.
First up…Arrow, Episode 2: Hong Kong
*I still can't believe they did it. They…destroyed Earth-2! I thought that worlds weren't supposed to be destroyed until the Crisis begins! Plus…that was Earth-2! Our first experience with the multiverse! You don't…destroy that Earth, before the Crisis even begins! Like…what the hell?!
*With her mask on, Arrowverse's Kitana looks exactly like her DCEU counterpart:/
*Man…I did not expect for Lyla to be connected with the Monitor:/ Unfortunately…this has shot Lyla WAY up to the top of the list of "Characters I believe will die in Crisis in Infinite Earths". I foresee her "betraying" John and the others…only having to die in order to redeem herself. I know that's a trope:/
Next up…The Flash, Episode 3: Dead Man Running
*I was surprised about Ralph's mother…I thought she was the thief:/ Nice moment between them at the end, though:)
*So…Ramsey's experiment can create a being who can't die, because they're (technically) already dead? Interesting.
*A little less than two months till the Crisis…I can't be the only one excited:)
*I'm curious about this…Nash (the new Harrison Wells). I heard that this "Eternium" is actually from comics, where it was a substance made when the Rock of Eternity was shattered. Thus…confirming that Shazam exists with the Arrowverse. And that's alright to me:) As unlikely as I know it is, I would LOVE it if the Shazam Family could get their own CW show. And I mean the Shazam Family from the movie…those characters, those actors, and that universe. That'd be awesome!
I actually have a little hope in that the Arrowverse, the DCEU, and the "Titansverse" (because I recently watched the first season of Titans, and have been thoroughly enjoying it) will be merged together into a single Earth/universe by the end of Crisis on Infinite Earths. I know that's unlikely, but…I still think it'd be cool:)
Now…Batwoman, Episode 4: Who Are You?
*God dammit. They did…it…AGAIN!:) I love it! Once again, they reference a popular DC character in Batwoman. This time…it was Killer Croc. Again, I really hope that they keep this up in every Batwoman episode:)
*That "finger scene" with Alice (you know what I'm talking about if you've seen the episode:/) was just brutal0_0
*I was actually kind of surprised. I was certain that Reagan was Magpie:/
*Man…I knew that Catherine was hiding something. But (essentially) faking Beth's death?! I did NOT see that one coming0_0
I'm…uncertain how to feel about it. I mean, what she did was NOT cool or alright. In ANY sense of the word(s). But…I can (to a degree) understand why she did it. I'm not sure. Maybe, I'm just too sympathetic when it comes to people (fictional, or otherwise):/
Next up…Supergirl, Episode 4: In Plain Sight
*I was…SO scared when they made me think that Brainy and Nia had broken up:( I am glad, however, that they're still together and working through their issues:)
*That moment when Malefic mind-controlled Alex, and made her say those things to J'onn…broke my damn heart. I am so glad that the two of them are still good though:)
*Damn it Lena. Damn…damn…DAMN! Why can't Lena just be friends with Kara and everyone else?:( I really hope that she doesn't go full villain, and becomes TRUE best friends with Kara later on.
I'm still wondering how this.. "Leviathan" (which I still don't know whether that's an entity, or an organization) is going to play into this season. I really hope that they don't wait too long before bringing them/it in. Season Two of Supergirl (to my knowledge, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong) didn't really have an overarching antagonist. Supergirl did fight Mon-El's mother in the finale, but she wasn't a villain until later in the season. I believe that Leviathan will be the main "antagonistical force" for this season…because I don't believe that Malefic OR Lena could be main antagonist. I'm certain that Lena will turn "back good" eventually, and I'm…"uncertain" about how they'll handle Malefic in future episodes.
Next up…Black Lightning, Episode 4: The Book of Occupation: Chapter Four: Lynn's Ouroboros.
*Man…I KNOW I'm not the only one who's hating Odell and his people right now!:( He threatens Jefferson's daughters, gets Lynn hooked on (what may be) the most addictive drug on Earth, AND…is, effectively, trying to turn Jennifer into his own personal meta-human weapon. Not even counting what he did to Khalil, and ALL the crap his people have been pulling (that Major is REALLY pissing me off). I'm just…SO excited for when he FINALLY gets his karma.
*I'm…still uncertain about whether or not Grace's true (and original) form was a leopard…I feel like the show is hinting at both, but not barreling down on one:/ But…maybe I'm forgetting something (correct me if I'm wrong).
Next up…Arrow, Episode 3: Leap of Faith
*I liked the return of Thea (she's always been one of my favorite Arrow characters):)
*Yeah, I'm calling it…Lyla will have to "betray" John and the others around/during the Crisis. Afterwards, she'll have to sacrifice herself near to the end to "redeem" herself:/
*Did…did they just kill of Zoey?! What the hell dudes?!:(
*So.. the Monitor might not be the "savior" he seems to be? Well…savior is a strong word, but you know what I mean. There're been some who've theorized that it's actually the Anti-Monitor that we've been following recently (in the current "arc" of the Arrowverse shows). Personally…I believe that they're painting the Monitor as a current similar to Kronika from the latest Mortal Kombat installment: in that he cares more about maintaining a balance between good and evil, regardless of what it may cause. I think Monitor is the technical "lesser" of two evils…where he wants "balance" in the multiverse, the Anti-Monitor wants to destroy it completely.
*I was very surprised that they brought (most of) the Future Team Arrow to the present. I saw a set photo that featured Oliver and Mia, so I suspected that the timeline would be "broken" during the Crisis. But…I didn't expect it to happen while we still have quite a while left till the Crisis:/
Now…The Flash, Episode 4: There Will Be Blood
*I completely understand Cisco's problem. I don't think anyone could take it well to find out that their best friend will die, and they can't do anything to stop it.
I was actually very surprised that Cisco didn't call Barry out on his hypocrisy. Cisco didn't think they could save Ramsey, and Barry said that it doesn't mean that they shouldn't try. Yet…Barry's okay with allowing himself to die? Yes, I understand why…I'm just saying, CW missed the opportunity for a perfect "Cisco comeback":/
*I was wondering when they were gonna set up Ramsey as our (current) big bad. His powers remind my of Venom (the black ooze):/
*Nash is hunting the Monitor…interesting. Once again, this has lead to a theory that the Anti-Monitor has been imitating as the Monitor for some time. Very interesting as to what happens next:)
And…that's it for our "Arrowverse Talks".
Remember…constructive criticism only, no flames.
Review, favorite, follow, and I'll see you guys next time:)
Oh..and HAPPY HALLOWEEN!:)
