While losing his parents was very, very awful and something that might haunt his dreams for the rest of his life, Cody was rather getting along quite nicely with these demons in the depths of Hell. "So do you have any other relatives or family members that can help you?" asked Loona

"Well, my Uncle Tom and Aunt Pearl live in Boise Idaho." said Cody. "My grandparents live in that place where old people live in."

"A retirement home?" Moxxie said

"Yeah! That's it." Cody said. "Well, I do have a brother. But I don't think he can help me."

"I didn't know you have a brother?"

"Uh-huh. His names' Tommy and he is a very cool big brother. I want him to help me, but he joined the army after he finished college." Cody explained some more. "But, I'm glad he's alright."

"Yeah, that is a good thing, Cody." said Millie. "Are there any other members of your family out there?"

The young human boy explained how there are mostly family members that are far away from where he lived in before the fire. "But I don't want to move. I have friends in school, and nice neighbors."

"We get it. It's like this old saying here: Home is where the demon rests." Blitzo said. "Is there anything we can do for you? Anything you want from us exactly? A shotgun, a light machine gun, a pistol?" the boss of this company then showed him many different weapons in an attempt to make him feel better.

"Whoa whoa whoa, Blitz." said Loona. "I don't think it's really a good idea for a kid like Cody to have a gun."

"Yeah, he can shoot his eye out with it." Moxxie said

"Well don't say it like that." Millie chided.

"No, it's ok. I have played games where there is shooting a gun, but I don't want a real gun. Too loud for me." Cody said

"Oh. OK. I understand."

"But I don't know what else to do." Cody continued talking, "I don't know if I have anywhere else to go. Maybe I can probably... like in a trashcan for the rest of my life."

"What?" Loona said. "Kid, that's crazy talk. Live in a trashcan? You are not a hobo." she gently laid a comforting hand on his back. "But don't worry. You can at least come stay with me for a little while."

"Whoa, I don't think that's such a good idea." Blitzo objected. Loona glared at him. "I mean, one more mouth to feed, prepare him for college, it's just-"

"BLITZ!" Loona said. "He'll be fine. Cody stays with us, whether you like it or not." she showed her sharp teeth to show how serious she was with this idea. The boss demon of this company was certainly scared of Loona when she is angry (And he had every right to be afraid of an angry hellhound for her choleric behavior.) Angering a hellhound can be like angering a cape buffalo or a rhinoceros, and Loona can be just as unpredictable as they are. "Do you understand me?"

"Yes! Absolutely." Blitzo made a small chuckle. "And besides, I'm starting to like this kid already. We can train him to be a stone cold killer."

"Wait, wait, wait." Cody objected that idea. "I don't want to kill anyone." he looked nervous. "I'm not a demon like you guys are, and... Tommy said you should never really kill someone unless they are trying to kill someone else. And I've never used a gun before."

"Well, you won't have to kill anyone, Cody." Loona said reassuringly. "You're too little for a gun anyway."

"Yeah, you can just stay here in the office."

"But, I don't want to be all alone when you guys are out killing people." the human boy said. "I'm still just a kid."

"He's got a point, sir." Moxxie said. "He doesn't have adult supervision."

"I know THAT!" Blitzo looked annoyed at his employee. "I know very well how human children work in their world. And besides, Loona doesn't always come with us to kill a target that our clients give us."

"Yeah, but hey, you want something?" Millie asked kindly.

"Well, I wish I had some cookies." Cody said. "My mom makes really good chocolate chip cookies, but... She's."

"Oh don't cry anymore." Loona gently hugged him. "You didn't hear it from me, but Moxxie is a great cook."

"Well, she's not wrong, Cody." the imp admitted. "I always make some cookies for me and Millie here."

The poor human made a gulp and asked: "It doesn't have any blood or any guts or rats in them, do they?"

"What? NO! Of course not. I make chocolate chip cookies. 'Matter of fact, I think I still have some leftover ones in the refrigerator downstairs. I can get them for you. Wait... Loona, you didn't eat them, did you?"

The female hellhound rolled her eyes and said: "No Moxxie, I didn't eat them."

"Oh. OK."

"But I did eat some of your leftover pasta."

"WHAT?!" Moxxie exclaimed in surprise. "Gah! See who I have to put up with, Cody?"

"Hey hey hey! Don't bring Cody into this. He's very sad right now."

"Right. Sorry. Cody, you have to realize that me and Loona don't always get along."

"It's true, she can be... unpredictable." Millie made a nervous smile

"And what's that supposed to mean, Mills?" Loona raised her right eyebrow

"Nothing."

The married demons went downstairs and got the human boy some nice cookie from the fridge, and they looked exactly like chocolate chip cookies back on Earth. "Thanks guys."

"No problem, sweetie." Millie replied

"So do you have any friends?" Loona asked

"I have a couple of them. But... I don't have a lot of friends." Cody looked rather embarrassed. "Sometimes, i feel like I am am outsider and I tend to read by myself instead of with my friends."

"Ah, don't sweat it." Loona smirked. "I don't have that much friends either. But I do have a guy called Vortex. He's a hellhound like me and you would really like him."

"Is that a good idea?" Blitzo asked. "That guy is huge and terrifying."

"On the outside, totally. But on the inside, he is a really nice guy."

"Like a gentle giant?"

"Yeah! Exactly. But we can get you settled in the house."

"Where can I sleep? What can I eat?"

"Well, I can order some Chinese takeout or a pizza."

"OK."

"And I can help look for clothes for ya, kid." Blitzo offered, making Cody look grateful. The child ate four more cookies and everyone went back home. Blitzo ordered some Chinese food through the phone and Loona made a nice little bed for him, which was a little bed that she used to sleep in before Blitzo adopted her. It didn't look like much, and she felt like she could have gotten him a better one.

The female hellhound looked a little worried, and said: "I know it's not much, but this bed is soft."

"It's okay, Loona. I'll be fine."

"Wanna watch TV?"

"Is there any good TV shows?"

"Oh yeah. But since you're still a kid, i'll find a channel that will be good for ya. I know that you don't like to watch the excessive violence that goes on around here. Good thing Blitz intercepted TV to the human world

"Yay!"

Cody rushed to the living room and turned on the television. Loona flicked the channels and Cody told her to stop when he saw Dr Pol on the screen. "You like this?"

"Yeah. Thanks Loona." Cody said. "But, I don't want to get in your way. I can just leave this place if you want to."

"No no no, it's fine. I'm here to help you, Cody." Loona reassured. "Just wait for the Chinese food to come."

"Got it."

Meanwhile, walking in the kitchen, Blitzo had a rather funny smile on his face. "Well, isn't this cute?"

"What?"

"I think you are so adorable when you are so motherly."

Loona blushed and growled. "Oh shut up, dumbass."
