Cody felt a little scared of the beautiful succubus named Verosika Mayday. He hated being treated like a baby. especially by a famous popstar whose music he doesn't really like. Despite that, he was glad that Loona came to his aid and helped him out.
Before the tragic fire, Colin remembered being taught not to really talk to strangers, and he kept those wise teachings to himself ever since he was taught that.
He wished that he could have met Vince Neil, Slash, Ozzy Osbourne, or any other rock or metal musician and not some other slutty popstar the world doesn't even need in that existence. "Loona, should I be worried about Verosika?"
Loona looked down on him and she smiled before saying: "Nah, not as long as you are with me."
"And I promise you, little man," said Vortex. "I'll make sure she doesn't try anything funny with you just in case. but hey, even a succubus has standards."
Cody smiled gratefully. "Thanks guys."
"Ah, here we are." said Loona. "Blood Burger."
"Nice! I love that shit." Vortex said with enthusiasm.
Cody followed them both inside and saw that it was slightly crowded with demons of many kinds. Imps, Hellhounds, chorts, owl demons, and others. It scared him a little bit since some of these demons looked scary.
He remembered that Loona would be there to make sure that nothing bad happens to him. For that, he clung close to Loona and Tex like an oxpecker on a rhinoceros just in case any demons of any kind would back off and try not to hurt and or eat him.
A male imp was eating a burger in a booth, and he looked a little intimidating for an imp. He had protruding fangs that erupted from his lower jaw and said: "what are you looking at, kid?"
Cody even noticed that even his own breath tasted so bad. so bad that it was like the smell of a skunk who ate onions for dinner, moldy onions. "Nothing." Cody said, looking away. "Sorry sir."
He looked and saw a brown male hellhound who was picking his canines with a toothpick. The brute looked at Cody as he walked by, and showed his smile involving sharp teeth like daggers and some red susbtace around the pearly whites.
While it looked like blood in his mouth, Cody failed to realize that: it was just ketchup and not really blood at all. Still, Hellhounds look pretty intimidating and are a force to not he rekon with when they are angry
There was a regular demon thay wasn't an imp and looked like he hated his job. "Hello, welcome to- oh. It's you two again." said the employee. "what can I do you for?"
"Relax, Barney." Loona rolled her eyes. "I said I was sorry about last week."
"Whatever."
"Hey Loona!" said a female voice. they all looked over and saw two female Hellhounds sitting in a booth to sit in
Loona smiled and said: "hey Crystal, Serana!"
Cody looked a little worried again, and hid behind Loona's tail for safety. "I'll order as usual." said Vortex. "you hungry Cody?"
"Uh-huh. a double cheeseburger, ten-piece nuggets, and a medium drink." Cody replied flatly.
"got it." Loona placed her order and Vortex after her.
"Perfect, would that be all today?"
"yep, pfetty much." Loona replied.
"here's the bill." the employee said e giving them both the receipt. Vortex was the one carrying tje food and there were her other friends.
"Oh my god, who is this baby?" Chrystal noticed Cody underneath Loona's tail.
"this is Cody." Loona said. "a kid i saved."
"really?" asksd Serana. "Jesus on a stick, what happened to him?"
"He really doesn't like to talk about it." Loona said. "he is very, very sensitive.
"Oh. ok." said Crystal
"Come on, Cody, let's just try and be more positive."
"yeah, its not even worth dwelling on abojt it." Vortex added.
"so tell us about yourself, darling." Crystal looked eager.
Cody didn't even know where to start, but on the other hand, he is making more friends in the place where the damned souls are forced to go after committing a sin.
Weird as it sounded, it was absolutely true that friends can come from anywhere in the world, one can't just expect to wait for one to just go right go to his front door. these female Hellhounds seemed alright for Cody and he was slowly starting to them.
"Well," Cody said at last. "i love rock and metal and my dad gave me a couple of shirts from all the concerts he went to."
"ooooh." the two Hellhounds sounded intrigued to hear those words. "we like your style, kid." said Crystal.
"Your parents sounds like they have a good tase in music." said Serana. "what's your favorite band?"
Cody had his thinking face on him again and stated, "I like all the bands. so many to pick."
"Nice." the female Hellhounds commended him.
"My dad always said the 80s were rhe best decade of music."
"no argument." said Crysyal.
"yeah, the 80s' have so much emotion in their songs." Serana admitted. "It's a shame that most bands today re not like the ones we have created in the 1980s.
"so how do you like it here?" Vortex asked him curiously.
"It looks... cool to me." Cody finally said to them. Though it wasn't what i would expect it to he like. I thought that it would be a place where volcanoes would erupt forever and make the people who live here drown in lava."
"Where did you get that idea?" asked Crystal.
"from a dream." said Cody. "and my parents showed me the horrors of what it would look like if i committed a sin."
"A video called Apaya." Cody admitted. "it's scary, but I got used to it."
"Apaya? asked the Hellhounds.
"here, let me show you." said Cody
