Blitzo was absolutely not pleased to see Loona's dream crush. Her female friends, he didn't really care about, but Vortex was a big concern. Blitzo knows very well that Loona is still simping over the handsome, muscular hellhound.
"Hey Loona!" said the male hellhound.
"Come on in, Tex!" said Loona, sounding excited. Moxxie and Millie were a little suspicious around the muscular hellhound, mostly because of his (former) affiliation with Verosika Mayday. "The water is fine!"
"Who invited you here?" Blitzo said. "Get lost, Mr. Steroid!"
Loona immediately scowled and got out of the pool, her fists clenched and looking ready to rip her adopted dad's heart out of his chest. "Blitzo, I swear to Satan, be nice." she growled at him. "Should I remind you that he helped us save the kid here from Verosika?"
"So what?" Blitzo sounded rather stubborn to her, slightly looking away while in denial. "Some people can't easily be forgiven for horrible things they have done."
"Oh come on." Loona looked unconvinced. "I told you that Tex is a really nice guy. And... we can always use some extra security for I.M.P
Realizing that Vortex does seem to make Loona happy, he sighed and said. "Sorry." in a quiet, flat voice. "I know he's your friend, and he did help get Cody out of that slut's penthouse."
"There you go! and I'm not a Hellhound pup, you know?"
"Yes. I know that more than anyone. when have I ever baby'd you before?"
Loona gave him a look that said: "really?"
"On second though, forget what I asked you, honey."
"Yeah, good idea." Loona sarcastically agreed. "Try to keep your mouth shut more often. it will only get you in trouble one day."
"That's what they all say." Blitzo picked up a magazine that was entitled "Demon Daily" on the cover page.
"I just want you to accept Tex." Loona said before being greeted by her hellhound friends. "Oh! I didn't see you there."
"Sorry for intruding, Loona." Tex said. "I didn't want to come here at a bad time."
"No! No! of course not." Loona said. "Blitzo here can be... airheaded sometimes.
Blitzo twitched at being called that, but continued reading his magazine, pretending he didn't hear that word. "Enjoy the pool." he sighed.
"How are you doing, Blitzo?"
"Oh! just dandy." the imp replied.
"What person still says that word?" asked Serena.
"I don't think anyone says that anymore." Crystal agreed.
"Well there's nothing wrong with using out of date words."
"He does have a point." Moxxie said. "Kids on earth read some Shakespeare stories and those ones have the old English talk."
"Hmm, you got a point there." Vortex admitted. "He's been dead for centuries, bit man... he still has some of the most famous fables ever."
Hearing the word Shakespeare just made Loona start daydreaming about her Tex being together like Romeo and Juliett, one of the old English author's most famous works. She was dreaming of her and him making out, and it made her look at the sky, and wagged her tail in a rapid movement.
Her Hellhound friends noticed this, and Crystal asked. "Loona? are you ok?"
"What? what?" Loona said. "oh yeah! I'm fine, Crystal."
"you look like you were having a seizure or something." Serena pointed.
"No, that's fucking stupid." the white hellhound shrugged off. "If i was having a seizure, I would have rabies."
"OK, then." Vortex still looked a little weirded out. He noticed Cody playing with the beach ball at the pool, catching it with his hands like a seal or sea lion would catch a ball with it's nose. Vortex came into the pool, and slightly overshadowed him with his strong, humongous size and build. "Hi Cody!" he said in a cheerful voice.
"Hi Tex!" Cody replied. He felt Vortex gently picking him on on his torso with his large hands and lifted him in the air a few times, and the kid was having fun with this.
"How is your brother?"
"Well, I don't really know, but I think he and Celeste are doing ok."
"Good. Have you been alright?"
"Uh-huh. I know it sounds weird if I say it, but Hell can be fun."
"Ironically, yeah." Tex chuckled. He made a small frown and he added: "And I understand if you're mad at me about the whole Verosika thing. Like I said, I was kinds powerless against her, and I was only doing my job."
Cody smiled and said: "Come on Tex, i forgivd you for what happened. You helped me get out of there and I have no hard feelings."
Vortex smiled and gently ruffed the kid's hair. "Good. Thanks, Cody."
"Should I worry about her coming back and capturing me again?"
"Nah, not really. She would know not to mess with me. If she wants to have you back, she'll have to get past this wall of steel. He flexed his arms, making Loona simp over him even more.
"I'm still talking to Blitzo about getting you a job at IMP."
"Ooh! how is that coming?" asked the male hellhound.
"Well... let's just say he is one of the most stubborn demons I have ever known. But I know he will get you a job."
"Thank you so much, Loona." Tex said in a really grateful voice. "And even if I don't get a job at IMP, I would still thank you for trying to help me out."
Loona smirked and said: "Just trying to help out a good friend here. that's all." Of course, deep down, she wished that her and Tex can be more than friends. Alas, she can only dream of it in her own head.
She felt herself being gently hugged by the hellhound, which made her blush and feel very warm inside. It was almost like he had become her new boyfriend already.
"So how have you been, Cody?" asked Serena
"I'm doing ok, Serena." the boy replied with a smile. "Still trying to survive down here."
She and Crystal made a small laugh and Crystal said. "Yep, that's pretty much everyone down here. Trying to make a living and all. Oh! even though you didn't really die."
"And we heard about what happened with Verosika Mayday. We wanted to make sure you didn't get hurt."
"No, I didn't." Cody said. "I promise. She just treated me like a pet or a trophy.
"A pet?" said the Hellhound girls.
"Relax, guys." Loona said. "Not that kind of pet. But he's fine. Let's just leave all that behind. I also got to meet his brother. Not a bad guy, I'll admit, but he's so and so."
"And he was in the French Foreign Legion." Vortex bounced his eyebrows two times.
"Ooh." both Serena and Crystal said.
"Sounds like he's quite a trooper." Serena remarked.
"He's really cool." Cody said. "and I'm glad he's still in my life."
"Well let's have some fun!" Crystal said.
"I got a beach ball guys." Loona said. "Wanna play catch, Cody?"
"As long as we don't have to play Monkey in the middle." the boy remarked, making the Hellhounds laugh.
"You are so cute and funny." Loona said. "Normally, I wouldn't really say that to just anybody, but... I think you are really cool."
Cody smiled warmly at that, and said: "Thank you, Loona. I'm glad you saved me from the fire."
"Ah, don't mention it."
They all began playing catch with the Beach ball, then Moxxie and Millie joined in. "Nice catch!" said Moxxie.
"Think fast, Moxxie!" said Vortex before throwing the beach ball at his face. Apparently, Vortex forgot how strong he was at this point and the impact made Moxxie fall below the surface of the pool, and it was just a beach ball!
"ooh! Sorry Mox." Vortex made a nervous smile. Loona began laughing to herself at how funny that was. Yes, that Moxxie can be such a clumsy clown.
Everyone was having fun together around the pool and over the next hour, Cody was resting on a bed float that Crystal had brough. and he fell asleep.
Loona was having a decent talk with Vortex while Blitzo was annoyingly having a phone conversation with Stolas... again. Moxxie was playing his guitar for his wife, whom was really flattered. For Crystal and Serena, they began wondering about many things what humans loved to do in the living world above this domain.
In his slumber, Cody was in the human world, in winter, and he was playing with Tod the friendly fox while he was in his bedroom. Suddenly, his room caught on fire and Tod just disappeared out of thin air like a ghost.
He became scared and frightened. "Cody!" his dad called from downstairs. "HELP ME!!!"
"Dad? Dad!" Cody tried opening the door, but it was stuck.
"HELP US, CODY!!" his mother screamed.
"You have to save us!" his dad said. "YOU'RE OUR ONLY HOPE!!!"
"I'm coming! I'm coming!
The voices desperately kept telling the child to come and save him from the fire. Cody still couldn't get the door open and he was screaming and crying. Ultimately, he kept hearing their voices say his name over and over again.
"Cody! Wake up!" Loona said, gently tossing him. the kid looked up and tears were streaming down his face.
"What? what?" he hyperventilated himself.
"Cody? What's the matter?" Loona said, looking concerned. Vortex, the other female Hellhounds, and the three imps gathered, looking very concerned.
"I was... I was in the fire and.. I tried to save my mom and dad! but I couldn't. I couldn't get the door open!" he then clung to Loona, crying.
"Sssssshhhhhhh." Loona soothed him with a gentle voice. "don't cry."
As a matter of fact, the others tried cheering him up as well, showing how much they cared for the kid.
