Cody was having a little walk with Octavia down the stairs to get back to the party happening. There, he was encountered by Lilith. "Ah, there you are, sweetie." said the Queen of Hell. "I've been looking all over for you. When I heard about that little Hellhound skirmish, I... assumed the worst, you know."

"I'm fine, your majesty." said Cody

Lilith smiled and said, "Good. I'm glad to hear that. My daughter was wondering where you were as well." she gently reached out her right hand and began to gently pat his head of brown hair. "What were you doing up here? And You're not in trouble, I was only curious, sweetie." Cody made a small gulp, and hoped that Lilith wouldn't punish him or anything like that, and he moved his eyes to and fro rapidly. He probably knew that even the queen of Hell wasn't very fond of Christ either.

"Well, I noticed the door was open on the balcony, thought I would get a look at it. I mean, the stars look beautiful down here at night." Cody explained. "I thought I would take a look at the sky, and the city below me."

"Ah. I wouldn't blame you. That is the perfect spot for that kind of opportunity." Lilith noted. "Understandable. So, I'll go tell my daughter that you are alright and she has nothing to worry about. In the meantime, please go back down to the party. I can imagine how worried Loona is about you."

"OK, your highness." Cody smiled.

"Octavia, i trust you will be his escort?"

"Yes, my queen." the Goetia princess nodded her head in a flat voice. "Come on Cody, you heard the queen."

"Sure."

The Goetia was glad to be bringing him back down here and didn't want to anything bad to happen to him when he was not with her, or Cody's new companions. Many demons were mingling with other demons and pdy was greeted by someone he just met before the party.

"Hey Cody." it was Crymini, the short hellhound he met earlier. "enjoying the party?"

"Yep."

"Awesome! You've got to try the hot dogs over there. They are mind-blowing!"

"I already did, and they are good." Cody smiled. "What kind of meat are they?"

"Hell-Hogs!" Crymini said enthusiastically.

Cody looked surprised and remembered seeing taxidermy at that shop Octavia liked to browse and look at. "Oh. Are those the ones with the long tusks and the stripes on them?"

"Yeah, those are the ones." Crymini said.

"Hello Crymini." said Octavia in a flat voice. "I see you are having your taste of meat get to your instincts."

"Come on, miss Sunshine." said the hellhound, "You gotta lighten up a little bit. This is a party."

"Yes, but I prefer to celebrate it in my own way. I don't have to go out in the dance floor and make a fool of myself." the Goetia princess rolled her eyes. "You know that I am more mellow than you are."

"Mellow can be boring." said Crymini with her arms crossed. "You have to make some noise to have fun."

"I don't think everyone would agree with you on that."

"Whatever." said Crymini. "See ya around Cody." the hellhound smiled at the boy before sliding down the stairs rail.

"Be careful around her." said Octavia. "Not saying she is dangerous, but she can be a little... extreme at times."

"She's not that bad. I mean, I only met her before I went here."

"I understand. I gotta to check on my dad and see if he's... behaving himself. I hope you have fun here."

"I will."

Octavia walked away and Cody was looking around at the mingling demons some more. He wanted to mingle with some demons himself, but he was worried that most of them would probably be like those hellhounds before Loona kicked their asses.

Perhaps... it was best if Cody didn't talk to many of them. Aftet all, he always heard "Don't talk to strangers" in and out of school.

"You ok, Kid?" said Loona, who was right next to him, startling the kid. "Sorry. didn't mean to scare you."

"No, it's ok." Cody said. "And I wasn't scared. I was... surprised. So that's different."

"Sure it is." Loona smirked. "I just wanted to make sure you were safe and not harassed by any more mean demons."

"So far, I'm doing ok." Cody said. "As long as I got Charlie, and her dad in her back pocket, I don't think I have anything to worry about... and you."

Loona chuckled and said: "Yep, I saved you from the fire after all, so yeah, you'll need my help in case something like that happens again. So.. uh.. what were you doing up there?"

"Looking around the place. that's all." Cody remarked flatly. "So where are the others?'

"Blitzo is... getting so tanked on beer that he's making a fool out of himself." Loona sounded annoyed. She pointed at where Blitzo, and he she was absolutely correct, the head of I.M.P was getting very drunk right now that he thinks the punch bowl is now a swimming pool.

"Look at me!" said Blitzo in a slurry voice. "I'm winning the Olympics! You getting this Millie?"

"Blitzo," said Moxxie, "you're embarrassing yourself."

"Well fuck you too, Moxxie." said Blitzo in an offended voice. "I got a swim race to win! whoo!"

Loona just facepalmed herself in embarrassment and hoped that this won't affect her social life. "Is he going to be ok?" asked Cody.

"On a scale of one to zero, I would say zero." Loona flatly replied.

"Come on, sir." said Millie, trying to pull out her inebriated boss. "that's not a swimming pool."

"Here honey, i'll give you a hand." said Moxxie, sounding annoyed with this situation.

"He'll be fine." said Loona. "Best to just leave him alone."

Vortex noticed the commotion and asked: "Is that Blitzo?"

"Yeah Tex. the one and only." the female hellhound sarcastically noted. "Just look at him, he's a mess. Look's look I'm gonna have to be the one to drive him home after the party."

"I can help you with him." said Tex.

Loona smiled in gratitude. "Thanks Tex."

"Don't mention it. What are friends for, Loona?" she gently patted her on the back in a friendly gesture.

"Yeah... friends." Loona said. "So Cody, where were you?"

"looking at the stars outside, from the tallest balcony."

"Ooh, that sounds nice." said Tex.

"Say Cody," Loona said. "I want to talk to you... alone."

"Am I in trouble?" asked the boy, sounding a little confused.

"No, that's stupid. if you were in trouble, I would give you a dirty look."

"Good point."

"You always give dirty looks." Tex pointed. "No offense."

"Nah, it's ok. I gotta look tough in front of everyone. I want to show that I'm not weak."

"Well, where do you want to talk?" Cody asked

"I'll ask Satan if he can point us a private place."

"OK."

they found Satan talking with Stolas and Charlie and having some conversations. "Did you see how Blitzy got drink like that?" said Stolas with an adorable face.

"Huh. That little pervert is gonna make a fool out of himself." said the King of Hell.

"Your highness," said Loona, coming up to the king with Cody next to her. "Is there a place where me and Cody can... be alone together?"

"Ooh, having some romance I see."

"What?" said Cody and Loona in shock. "Come on, I'm nine-years old!" Cody protested

"Yeah, and besides, even if he was old enough, he wouldn't really be my type." Loona added. "No offense, Cody."

"No, i'm with you, Loona."

"I was just kidding." Satan said. "Yeah, there's the tallest balcony you guys can be alone in." It was funny how the king mentioned that, since Cody had a talk with Jesus up there many minutes ago. Loona smiled and thanked him. Cody promptly followed his close friend to that exact same place he was in before, and Loona closed the glass door.

"So, Cody..." Loona said. "Like I said: you're not in trouble. I just... want to say that... you're the best thing that's ever happened to me, and meeting Tex. But... mostly... you."

Cody looked touched to hear those words. "Really?"

"Uh-huh." Loona gave him a sad smile. "I know I haven't said this so much, but you are." then she gave him a hug in a slow, but gentle manner. She smelled so nice like the smell of cinnamon or nutmeg. "Cody, I'm glad to have saved you, and I'm... glad that you're my friend. And... I love you." The boy was so touched he felt like crying, but decided not to make a scene on this.

"I... love you too, Loona." Cody admitted. "Not like romance, but you know."

"Oh yeah, yeah. of course not. And promise me you won't say this to the guys, ok?"

"OK."
