Chloé had left Zoé's apartment soon after her conversation with Rose. She had felt a little better afterward and when she got back to the hotel she had gone to her father's office and told him what had happened.

He had given her all the support she needed and told her everything she needed to hear. Afterward, they had eaten dinner at his office instead of walking down to the dining room. He was there for her like he'd always been.

It almost felt like it had been before she left for New York. Only then she'd had a healthy sister and not had her mother as an enemy. She was surprised over how things could change that quickly during a couple of months. She just hoped that things wouldn't change even more.

When she had woken up on friday morning her first thought were on her sister. Chloé's father had told her that she could call the hospital to see how her sister was doing if Zoé didn't reach out to her and that was exactly what Chloé did the first thing in the morning.

She had checked the phone number the evening before so she was ready in the morning to make the call. She knew that Zoé would reach out to her if she was able to, but she hadn't and Chloé took that as a cue that she would have to step up and take the first step to find out how her sister was.

Chloé dialed the number and waited anxiously for someone to pick up. When the person, a young man, finally did pick up Chloé didn't let him finish his introduction before she started talking herself.

"I'm looking for my sister, Zoé Lee. She was taken to this hospital yesterday. I want to know what's happened to her."

"Oh." the man on the other end said and seemed a bit surprised to have been interrupted. "I will check right away."

"Thank you."

Chloé left the couch she was sitting at and went out on the balcony during the time she was waiting. It was a lovely day and the sun was spreading so much warmth that Chloé almost felt like it was too warm for being outside. But it was a nice morning and she wanted to enjoy it.

She sat down and a moment later the man returned.

"She got in for a severe nosebleed and because of her other medical conditions they decided to keep her for the night. It seems like she will be released later this day."

"Do you know which time she will be released?" Chloé asked right away.

"I only know it will be later this day. No later than four. Is there anything else I can help you with?" the man asked.

"No. I just wanted to know what had happened."

"I understand." the man said in a voice that made it seemed like that was the most common thing anyone calling had said.

"Thank you for the information." Chloé said.

She ended the call and was about to put her phone away when it started ringing. She looked at the screen only to notice that it was an unknown caller. For a moment she was thinking if she wanted to answer or not, but decided to do so. If there was anyone she didn't want to talk to she could always end the call.

"Hello?" she asked when she answered the phone.

"Hi, Chloé. Sorry for calling you so early in the morning. I'm on my way to Gabriel's, so I figured I could call you during my walk there."

"Marinette?"

Out of all people Chloé thought would call her she would never think that Marinette would be one of them. But after yesterday Chloé wasn't that surprised.

"Yes." Marinette said. "I wanted to call to hear if you have heard anything about Zoé. I hope you don't mind me asking."

"She will be released later this day." Chloé answered.

"That's wonderful news."

Instead of giving Marinette an answer Chloé's attention fell on something that moved over the roof on the building next to her father's hotel. She stood up and walked to the railing to get a better view.

"Chloé?" Marinette said when she didn't get a reply.

The shadow moved over the roof and stoped by one of the corners. It almost looked like the figure were looking for something, but that was not the thing that made Chloé stare.

"Chat Noir?" Chloé heard herself say.

"What?"

"It looks like him..." Chloé said.

Instead of standing by the railing Chloé walked over the balcony toward the other side of it. She could get a better view there of the person, but it wasn't enough to make her sure. No one had seen Chat Noir in three years and sure, the person on the roof looked just like him. But could it really be him?

"Where?" Marinette asked in a desperate tone.

"On the roof on a building next to my father's hotel." Chloé said.

The call ended not even a second later.

Chloé walked back into her room instead of staying on the balcony and walked directly toward the door. She could at least try to get there, even if it would take forever for her to reach the roof of the building next door. She didn't have her Miraculous anymore, but she could still be helpful even without it.

She ran through the corridor and into the elevators and didn't waste a second to click on the button to get her down to the lobby. The longer she stood inside the elevator the more anxious she got.

What if it was Chat Noir? Did that mean that Hawk Moth would return and cause destruction in Paris again? As if life couldn't get any worse for Chloé.

When the elevator reached the lobby, she ran outside and quickly turned toward the building next door. She got to its entrance and entered the building without any problem.

It had elevators, just like any other building with plenty of floors usually had. She entered one of them and clicked on the button that would take her the highest up. As the doors closed in front of her, her heart started racing in her chest. But she wasn't afraid, not yet anyway.

She got out of the elevator when the doors opened and ran toward the staircase to get to the roof. When she finally got to the highest point of the stairs and only had the one obstacle in front of her, her first thought was to stop and turn back. But everything else screamed at her to open the door and go outside and that was exactly what she did.

She took a couple of steps out on the roof and looked toward the direction she had seen chat Noir earlier and was not the least surprised when she noticed that he was still there. But before she had a chance of going to him, Ladybug landed right in front of her and shook her head as if she was telling Chloe not to do what she had planned.

Chloé looked at Chat Noir who still stood with his back turned towards them, but she knew that he knew they were there. Chloé nodded when she looked at Ladybug again and took a step back, closer to the door in case she needed to escape.

Ladybug turned around when she was sure that Chloé wouldn't interfere and started walked toward Chat Noir, but stopped when he suddenly turned around.

His green eyes were filled with a fury Chloé had never seen at any person ever before. If she hadn't known Chat Noir during her time as Queen Bee years ago she'd be terrified of him at the moment. But a lot can change during three years, a lot of people can change during three years.

"Chat?" Ladybug said and sounded both worried and hopeful at the same time.

Chat Noir smirked at her.

"My Lady, what a great honor meeting you here." he said.

Chlé took a step back when she heard the anger in Chat's voice. She had heard a lot of people being angry during her life, but not like this. If a voice could be poisonous, she was sure Chat's would have been just that.

"What are you doing here?" Ladybug asked and tried to sound calm, but her shaky voice gave her away.

It didn't take Chloé long to realise that this wasn't just her first time seeing Chat Noir after so many years, it was Ladybug's as well and for Ladybug it must have been extra difficult seeing him again after his betray. They did have more history than any of the other heroes of Paris.

"What? I can't enjoy the view?" Chat said and made it almost sound like a joke, almost.

"Where is Hawk Moth?" Ladybug asked and took a step toward Chat Noir before she asked. "What did he tell you?"

"Tell me?" Chat Noir asked.

His green gaze fell on Chloé and for a moment he looked surprised to see her there, but he quickly recovered and started walking next to the edge of the roof. He turned his back toward both of them and looked down on the street for a while before he turned around and looked at Ladybug.

"The only thing he told me was the truth." Chat explained.

"And what's that? What truth? Don't you know how much damage he has caused everyone in Paris? He's not a good person. But I know that you are a good person." Ladybug said.

"I'm not." Chat said and sounded as if that was something he had accepted a long time ago. "I was never a good person. A good person would not leave the side of the good to join evil and all for selfish reasons."

The only thing Ladybug did was to shake her head slowly before she took a few steps closer to Chat with her arms stretched towards him.

"I won't judge you, Chat. I just want you back." Ladybug said in a pleading voice.

A single tear fell from one of Chat's green eyes even if nothing else gave away the deep sadness he must be feeling.

"I'm sorry." he said.

As he turned around to leave Ladybug reached for her yo-yo and threw it around Chat's hand. She pulled one time to get him flying toward her, but he quickly reacted.

"Cataclysm!" Chat screamed.

Ladybug jumped to the side to avoid getting hit with the cataclysm, but that also meant that she left Chloé open to get hit by it instead. As Chat came flying toward Chloé with no hint of stopping himself from colliding into her, she could see her whole life flashing before her eyes and most of it only made her realise how awful she used to be and how much she's changed. She closed her eyes and waited for her doom.
