Turning the last page, I set it down on my nightstand.
Pulling the covers over my shoulders, I surrendered to sleep.

The sun was shining beautifully, I closed my eyes soaking it in. Before returning to the page, smiling down at my book. I was in a meadow of sorts, surrounded by trees.
The wind blowing through my hair, I sighed in contentment. Peacefully reading, I heard something snap behind me, quickly turning to the sound.
The thing stood in the shadows, I could barely see the figure but I could see the outline. my heart pounding in my chest.
I can't remember where my truck is. My head spinning I decided to call out to it.
"Hello?... Is anybody there?" My heart beating out of my chest.
The Figure moved forward out of the trees, almost hiding away from the sun.
I recognized his figure from the bookstore, It was… Edward. What was he doing out here? Did he follow me?
I looked at his face, and I noticed how odd his eyes and complexion were he looks almost… sick.
"Edward" I whispered, trying to call him over.
He smiled at me, with his teeth. My head was spinning, he looks like he has fangs?
I gasped in horror, slowly trying to crawl away from him. He ran at an insane speed towards me, I blacked out before I could even react

Gasping awake, I walked hurriedly to the computer.
Googling "Vampire" I researched for almost an hour. I gathered their traits, writing them in my notebook.
Lustful, Unnaturally Handsome
Alluring
Pale cold skin
Uniquely colored eyes
Edwards a vampire. or some other supernatural being. He draws me in, I can't describe it.
I...I need to see him. Looking at the clock on the wall, I quickly checked the time. 3 AM, I just can't wait. I tiptoe down the stairs, slowly picking up my keys from the bowl.
I grabbed my jacket, before closing the front door behind me. Starting up my truck, I start pulling out of the driveway.
Once I'm out of the driveway I come to a stop. His shop isn't open, there's a tiny chance that he'll still be at work. why would he be? He probably has a family waiting at home for him. At least I don't think he's married, he's too… youthful.
Driving until I see the long dark road to the Crooked Willow. Taking in a shaky breath, I slowly make my way down the road. Parking into my usual spot, I take a look in the store.
The lamp by his desk is still lit, then I see him. Wearing a white button-down, and dress pants. His hair was a gorgeous bronze and a bit all over the place.
My heart lurches out of my chest as I see him suddenly go stiff. He quickly turns around, his eyes instantly meeting mine.
I could feel my heartbeat as I carefully jumped out of my truck, this was a very stupid idea. I could feel his eyes on me through the window as I walked to the door.
Before I could even knock, Edward pulled the door open. Our eyes locked and I took in a breath, I could see him tense up.
"Isabella…May I ask what you're doing here at this hour," he asked, curiosity behind his eyes.
"I had some…Questions" My voice shaky, I'm anxious but my curiosity is eating me alive.
I swear his eyes turned darker, I could see his Adam's apple as he swallowed.
The corners of his mouth turned up into a cautious smirk, "Um…follow me" He stepped aside, holding the door open for me.
I hesitantly walked in as he closed the door behind me, a chill ran down my spine. I followed him as he walked through some of the isles, to a tiny corner in the back of the store.
A lamp lit up the space with yellow light, a vase of beautiful purple orchids sat on the table. Two armchairs sat opposite of each other, giving us enough room away from each other.
"Sit wherever you want," He said, coming up behind me. Sitting down in the armchair, I shrugged off my jacket.
Edward gracefully sat down next to me, you could hear very soft classical music in the background.
"Well Isabella, what are your questions," he said looking into my eyes calmly. He was on edge, I…don't know how to ask this. Is he going to turn me? Be mad at me?
"I…um" I stuttered.
"Don't be afraid" He reached his hand out, touching mine. I flinched back, his hand was freezing. Was he out in the cold? "Sorry" He mumbled before looking down.
I don't know what came over me, but bravery washed through me. He's a vampire, but I couldn't bring myself to be petrified of him.
I reached over and gave his hand a gentle squeeze before letting it fall back in his lap. He gasped in shock before pulling his hand back.
"Why are your hands so cold?" I knew the answer… but I can't just ask outright.
"I was…taking a walk outside" He answered back calmly.
"Why are your eyes that color?... not that it's a bad thing, They're gorgeous," Damn it Bella stop talking.
"So curious, Well my eyes became this way over time…and thank you," he said with a hint of a smile.
"Was that all of your questions?"
"Are you a vampire?" I immediately covered my mouth. I'm not stalling any longer.
"well…Why do you think I am?" His face tense, looking into my eyes.
I looked away quickly, I don't know how to phrase this. I didn't even believe in vampires until yesterday, this is insane.
"Um…Your skin is cold as ice, Your eyes are a beautiful topaz, You're inhuman handsome. You remind me of um…Lestat." Taking in a shallow breath, I could see concern spread across his gorgeous features.
"Well Isabella, you're a smart girl so I'm going to be honest with you. Yes, I am." I took in a deep breath, the room felt like it was spinning. Why is he being so honest with me? We barely know each other. He looked like he was ashamed, I felt an urge to run. But I…trust him, I'm an idiot.
"What…Is it like being a…vampire" I hope he doesn't mind my curiosity, I still can't wrap my head around all of this.
"It's…difficult to describe. I have all these abilities, and strengths. But I still feel human. I look the same, excluding my eyes and skin" He said with a faint smile.
"When were you changed, or um…like how were you turned," I said, fidgeting my hands in my lap.
"I promise you I'm not as old as the vampires in your book"
"When were you born Edward?" I asked calmly.
He observed me, before answering. "I was born in Chicago in June of 1901" I took in a sharp gasp. I didn't realize how old he could be. "I was changed in 1918 When my family caught the Spanish Influenza. My mother and father had passed away before my now father Carslile turned me."
"I'm sorry for your loss Edward" I can barely think straight. This is all so much, but I can't help the questions that rush out.
"It was a long time ago," He said sadly.
"I have so many questions, but it's late." I feel bad, why was he still here so late?
"I have all the time in the world for your questions, to be frank with you. I'm breaking all the rules by telling you all of this, and I barely know you. I'm…dangerous, I admire you, Isabella. But you also need to realize I'm a vampire, even right now. You're putting your life in danger." All emotion left his face.
It's ridiculous but I have to know more. I know that he could kill me, or hurt me at any moment. But I trust him…Something about him just I can't describe it. I feel like I'm drawn to him, I want to know more about him. His experiences, his life, everything.
"I have all day tomorrow." I let out a big yawn. "I um… do you have to work tomorrow?" I feel bad for trying to make plans so suddenly, But I can't leave this…unfinished.
"Well this is my Shop, so I could take a day off. But seriously Bella, I'm dangerous."
He stood up, offering a hand to help me up. I hesitantly took his hand, getting up.
I followed him as he walked me back to the front door, The sun was coming up over the trees.
"You need some sleep" he walked over to his desk quickly, ripping out a piece of paper out of an old notebook. Walking back to me, he handed me the folded slip.
"Here's my number, Call me if you still would like to meet up."
"...thanks, I will"
"Goodnight, or good morning isabella. I'll be waiting for your call" He reached behind me, opening the door.
"Goodbye," I gave him a tiny smile, before making my way back to my car. Getting in the car, I looked back at Edward. I gave him a little wave before pulling out.
I saw Him wave back at me, before going back inside.

Laying down in bed, I stared at my ceiling before falling asleep.
