The first thing she did after work on Wednesday was to start packing her things so that she could move out on Friday before she went on her patrol with Viperion that same evening.

She had sold some of her things before she went to New York, so she didn't have a lot of belongings left. But there were one thing that she was never going to sell and that was her teddy bear, Mr. Cuddly.

It felt a little big foolish to still have it, but it meant a lot to her. Mr. Cuddly had been given to her by her father when she was a young child and Mr. Cuddly had been a big comfort for her while growing up. She was glad that she hadn't brought him with her to New York. But she wasn't going to leave him behind at her father's hotel.

Mr. Cuddly had been the first thing she packed in her bags and some of her clothes had followed. Because the room she was going to have already had all the furniture she needed she didn't have to bring some of her own with her, not that she actually owned any furnitures herself.

When she thought about it, she realised that she didn't own that much at all. She had her clothes, makeup, phone and some other small things. But everything that was inside her room at the hotel? It belonged to the hotel and her father. Sure, she knew her father would be happy to lend or maybe even give her some of the things. But she thought it was a little bit scary that she didn't seem to own anything.

Most of the people her own age that wasn't living at home seemed to own a lot of things like furnitures, kitchen-ware and even bedings. Chloé didn't even own a spoon.

She was in the middle of packing when her phone made that familiar sound when she received a text. Because she wasn't sure who it was from, as she wasn't waiting for a text or something from someone, she didn't really make any effort to get to her phone and read it.

"Do you want me to see who it is from?" Pollen asked after a few seconds had passed.

"Sure." Chloé answered while she was struggling with pushing down all of her things in the suitcase to be able to close it.

"It's from you father. He wants to eat dinner with you tonight." Pollen explained.

Chloé finally managed to close the suitcase and pulled the zipper closed before it was too late. She then turned around to look at Pollen who was hovering over her phone on the nightstand.

"Does it say when?" Chloé wondered.

"In two hours." Pollen replied.

"I guess that's fine. It's not like I have anything better to do." Chloé said.

"You could always call someone and ask if they want to do something." Pollen suggested.

"The only one I can call is my sister and I..."

Chloé closed her mouth when she didn't know what she could say. She had promised her sister not to treat her differently while she was sick. But it was difficult to do so when Zoé clearly wasn't feeling alright.

"Are you upset?" Pollen wondered.

"What else would I be?" Chloé almost yelled.

Pollen gave Chloé a sad look.

Chloé sat down on the floor and looked up in the roof. She didn't know what she was going to do with her sister. She couldn't ignore her disease, but she wasn't a doctor and she didn't have a cure for it either. She felt useless in this situation. Was she just going to sit by and watch her sister struggle?

"Maybe you will feel better if you call her?" Pollen said.

Chloé looked down from the roof and noticed that Pollen was right in front of her, holding onto her phone and making sure she wasn't dropping it. Chloé took it from Pollen and gave her a small smile.

"Thanks." Chloé said to the kwami.

"Call your sister and speak to her. I'm sure it will help." Pollen said before she flew away to sit on Chloé's bed.

Maybe calling her sister would make her feel a little bit better? She didn't have any other options, so she decided to do just that.

"Hello little sister." Zoé said when she answered.

"Hi."

Chloé wasn't sure what she actually was going to talk to her sister about. There was a lot of things going on in her life, but most of those things were stuff she couldn't tell anyone, not even her own sister.

"What are you doing?" Zoé asked and saved Chloé from coming up with something to say.

"I'm packing."

"When are you leaving?" Zoé asked in a alarmed tone.

"What? I'm not leaving?" Chloé said.

"That's not what mother said."

Chloé went silent for a moment before she felt like speaking again. She hadn't talked to Zoé about their mother in what felt like forever and that was definitely a conversation she didn't want to have with anyone.

"When did she call you?" Chloé wondered.

"Call me?" Zoé wondered. "She visited me."

"What?" Chloé screamed into the phone.

She stood up and looked at Pollen who gave her a questioning look which Chloé replied with moving her lips to form the words 'My mother is in Paris' to the kwami.

"What is she doing in Paris?" Chloé asked her sister.

"She told me you were going back to New York with her. She said something about you thinking Paris was nothing compared to New York and that you had called her to come and get you away from here." Zoé explained with a sad voice.

Chloé moved her phone away from her mouth and screamed as high as she could. She didn't care if someone heard her and thought she was getting attacked. From the past few years she had learned that it was better to let it all out instead of keeping it on the inside. She couldn't handle what was coming next unless she let it all out right here, right now.

When she was done, she quickly put her phone against her ear and got a bit alarmed herself when she heard her sister on the other end, talking with someone that sounded like Rose.

"She's screaming!" Zoé said, clearly worried.

"Where is she?" Rose wondered.

"I don't know. At her father's hotel?" Zoé suggested.

"Zoé?" Chloé said into the phone, but didn't get a reply and said her sister name again much higher that time to try to get her sister's attention.

"Oh." Zoé said in the background and moments later she was back in the phone. "What happened?"

"I'm sorry about that." Chloé said.

"Are you alright?" Zoé wondered.

"Yeah. I'm fantastic." Chloé said and didn't hide the sarcasm in her voice.

"Hey, Juleka! Go and get Luka." Chloé heard Rose say in the background.

"You started screaming. I got worried." Zoé said.

Chloé couldn't help but feel a bit guilty over it. She knew she shouldn't have started screaming. But her mother caused her so much pain and there weren't really anyone she wanted to bother with it. So screaming like she was being attacked and was fighting for her survival seemed, at least at the moment, like a good idea, but it clearly wasn't.

"I'm fine. I just wished that the atlantic ocean would be enough to keep mother away from me." Chloé told her sister.

"So you are not leaving?" Zoé asked.

"I'm not." Chloé answered.

"What's going on?" Chloé heard Luka ask in the background.

"I think she just got frustrated." Zoé told Luka even though she still seemed to hold her phone close to her mouth.

"Can I talk to her?" Luka wondered.

"Hey Chloé? Is it okay if I give the phone to Luka while I'm going to the bathroom?" Zoé asked.

"Sure." Chloé answered.

She didn't have any objections to speak with Luka now when it seemed like they were friends again. She actually liked talking to him because he didn't make things difficult and he seemed to actually listen to what people said, something others didn't do that often.

"Hey Chloé. How are you?" Luka wondered when he took over Zoé's phone.

"Better than ever." Chloé told him.

"So you didn't get attacked again?" Luka wondered in a worried voice.

"No I didn't and hopefully that will never happ..."

Chloé fell silent.

How could he possible know that she had been attacked? It's not something she had told anyone and it was also something she didn't want to talk about either and not telling anyone made that simple. The only one who knew were most of the heroes of Paris, that guy who had attacked her and Lila.

"I need to go." Chloé said and ended the call.

She turned to Pollen who looked at her as if she was waiting for Chloé to scream again.

"I'm sorry about that." Chloé said to the kwami.

"You have very strong lungs, that's for sure." Pollen said and seemed a bit unsure if she thought it really was a good thing.

Chloé forced a smile to the kwami who noticed that her smile was forced. The kwami gave her a sad gaze before she flew over to her.

"I'm sure nothing will happen even if your mother is here in Paris." Pollen told her.

"Do you think they talk to other people?" Chloé asked the kwami.

"Who?" Pollen wondered.

"The other heroes. Do you think they talk as their civilian selfs?"

"I don't think I understand."

Chloé took a deep breath before she decided to explain to the kwami, in the easiest way she could about what she meant.

"Luka just asked if I had been attacked again. I doubt he's got anything to do with Lila or that guy that attacked me. The only ones who know other than the two of them were the heroes of Paris. Do you think they talk about such things as civilians? Wouldn't that be like betraying Ladybug's trust?"

"I can't speak for anyone else or tell you what they are doing. But I do think it's important to talk about certain things rather than keep it all inside. If someone has talked about what happened to you, I think it's because they care and not because they are trying to start something." Pollen said.

"I guess that's true." Chloé said.

Her phone started ringing and when she noticed that it was her sister calling she quickly answered.

"Hi, I'm sorry I hung up. I should have waited for you to come back." Chloé said before her sister had a chance to say anything.

"Oh, that's fine. I just wanted to make sure that you are okay." Zoé said with an obvious smile on her lips.

"Did mom say something else other than those lies she told you about me leaving Paris?" Chloé wondered.

"She didn't." Zoé said. "But why are you packing if you aren't leaving?"

"I'm moving it with Adrien on Friday." Chloé said and realised that her wording wasn't the best.

"She's dating Adrien?" someone in the background said, but Chloé couldn't hear who it was.

"No, I'm not dating Adrien." Chloé said and hoped that whoever was listening would hear her as well.

"She's just moving into his apartment." Zoé explained to the person or people that was by her.

"It's a penthouse." Chloé said. "A big luxurious penthouse."

"Oh, it's a penthouse? That's so nice." Rose said loudly.

"Anyway." Chloé said and looked at her clock. "I'm having dinner with my dad soon so I'm going to get ready for that. I hope we can talk sometime later, maybe just you and me?"

"Yes, of course. I look forward to it. Have a nice dinner with André."

"Thanks, bye Zoé."

"Bye little sister."

She knew her mother was in Paris and had paid Zoé a visit. It would only be a matter of time before her mother showed up here, at the hotel and wanted her to come with her to New York. Chloé didn't want that and if her mother would try anything she would make sure her mother understood that when she said no, she meant no.
