Xaldin's patience was wearing thin.
This was supposed to have been a simple task for him. Prey upon the lord of the castle's fears and insecurities to encourage his transformation into a Heartless. A strong heart like the Beast's would result in an equally powerful Nobody, which the Organization would then control. Certainly an easy job for someone of Xaldin's power, he reasoned.
But he had not counted on the interference of the Keyblade master and his friends. Xaldin had underestimated the boy's resolve, and the strength of his heart.
Some of the others had said that Sora resembled Roxas, and Xaldin could see why. Sora's eyes burned with intensity as he gripped the hilt of his weapon.
The Organization member sneered. The boy was the cornerstone of Xemnas's plan for Kingdom Hearts, the key to Xaldin and the others becoming whole, rather than mere nothing. But Xaldin didn't care now; he had his pride. Sora and his companions had foiled all his attempts at turning the Beast. Xaldin had even suffered the indignity of being caught off guard by an unarmed slip of a girl. This farce had gone on long enough.
He spun his lances in his hands, the other three spears hovering before him. Xaldin gazed levelly into Sora's eyes. His face was grim.
Forget Xemnas, forget the plan. He was going to do this his way.
Xaldin's patience had run out.
