No one had bothered her for the rest of the evening on Wednesday and because of that she had been able to finish her packing. It felt amazing to know that she could just take her bags with her to Adrien's penthouse on Friday and not bother about stressing over packing until then.

She ate her breakfast, made her ready for work and took on her purse that Pollen flew right into and then she left for her last day of work that week. She knew she could possible work on the weekend, but Luka hadn't said anything about that so she just assumed she was free those days, which she was actually thankful for.

The walk to her working place wasn't that long. She didn't avoid any alleys this time, but held a tight grip on her purse just to be sure. She hadn't seen that man again, but she couldn't be sure if he had been caught or if he was still out there. That was the last thing she wanted to think about, but it still popped up in her thoughts from time to time.

When she entered the music store and went to the backroom to leave her stuff she was surprised to find Luka there. He hadn't been in the store for a couple of days, so she just assumed he was busy with practice.

"Good morning." Chloé said and hung away her coat.

"Morning." Luka said and gave her a quick smile.

He was reading some papers that looked important, and Chloé felt like she didn't want to bother him. She left the backroom and went out in the store instead, expecting to see Emma arrive but as time went by and as they were getting closer to opening time she was less sure if Emma would appear.

When it was only five minutes left until the store opened Luka came out from the backroom and headed towards her.

"Emma is not here." Chloé said.

"No. She called in sick." Luka explained as he stopped in front of the check out.

"That's a shame. Are you steeping in for her today then?" Chloé wondered.

"Yes. She said she would be back tomorrow, though."

Chloé looked toward the entrance that was still closed and noticed that there weren't any people waiting out there yet. Most of the times there used to be at least some people standing there, but maybe that was a typical Thursday?

"About that conversation we had yesterday..." Luka said and sounded unsure.

"Yes? What about it?" Chloé wondered.

Luka looked at her for a while and did not seem to know what he was going to tell her, if he even wanted to tell her anything at all. He opened his mouth and closed it a couple of times and when it was about to start all over again Chloé couldn't stand the silence anymore.

"Okay. I don't know how you know that I have been attacked, but it's fine. I'm okay. Everything is okay." Chloé quickly said and hoped that was what Luka was going to talk about.

"Are you sure? It's not something I think people would be okay with after only a short period time have passed since it happened." Luka wondered and didn't hide how concerned he was.

"I guess. It's just... As long as I don't meet him again, I'm sure I will be fine. It's nice of you to care. I appreciate it." Chloé said and smiled at Luka who still looked concerned.

"I care about you, Chloé and I don't want anything bad to happen to you either." Luka said and gave her a long look before he turned around to go and open up the store.

As the time went on Chloé worked the best she could. She hadn't had much trouble before while working behind the cash register, but it seemed as if her luck was starting to run out.

Problem after problem accurred and at one point the price of a guitar doubled when the customer were about to pay, a mistake Chloé almost didn't notice. But she managed to fix it after a few minutes of frustration and when that customer left the store, which was quite empty at the moment, she decided to call after Luka to tell him about the problems she had with the cash register.

"And then it doubled in price?" Luka wondered after a few minutes of standing in front of the cash register and pushing some buttons.

"Yes." Chloé said and didn't hide how annoyed she was about it. "I almost didn't notice it."

Luka looked up to give her a reassuring look, as if that would make her fell less guilty.

She had managed almost four days of work without any real problems. Like, sure, there had been som very rude customers that made her angry but that was nothing compared to the cash register not working. That register was the whole purpose to her work there at Luka's store and if it didn't work what else was she supposed to do?

"I think I might have to call someone to come and take a look at it." Luka finally said after minutes of trying to fix the cash register.

"Okay." Chloé said.

"It's good that it's a Thursday. It's the less busiest day on the week and hopefully it will be fixed by tomorrow at least." Luka explained before he left to go inside the back room to call for some help.

Chloé stood there for a moment and wondered what else she was going to do. She didn't have to think about that for too long though, because moments later a eldery woman approached her with a shy smile on her lips.

"Hi dear, I'm sorry to disturb you. Are your working here?" the woman asked.

Chloé looked toward the back rooms closed door and hoped that Luka would come out of it any second. But as the door remained closed she realised that she had to do whatever she could to help the eldery lady with whatever it was she needed.

"Yes, I do." Chloé finally said and couldn't help but smile when the eldery woman looked so happy.

"Oh, that's lovely. Do you think you could help me with something over there?" the woman asked and pointed toward the area with a bunch of violins.

"Yeah sure." Chloé quickly replied and followed the woman who, even through she was older, seemed to have a speed in her steps that Chloé lacked.

When they finally reached the violins, the woman stopped and looked up at each of them. Her gaze fell on one violin that she looked at for much longer than the rest and the woman quickly took on her glasses that had been resting on the top of her head.

"Do you think you can take that one down for me so I can get a closer look at it?" the woman wondered.

"Of course." Chloé said and did what the woman had asked of her, she then gave the violin to the woman who inspected it in a few moments of silence.

"I used to play on a violin that looked just like this." the woman said and looked up at Chloé.

"Really?" was the only word Chloé could say.

"Oh yes. When I was younger, I used to travel all around the world and play the violin. It was my life for over a decade. I used to play on the big stages and all kind of people used to sit in the audience to listen to it. It was a magical time." the woman explained and looked sad when she finished explaining.

"Why did you stop?" Chloé wondered.

"I got married." the woman said bitterly. "My husband wanted a housewife and not a famous and beloved violin player. I regret so much of that time of my life and wished I could have understood sooner that life is not about sacrifice, but of opportunites and happiness."

"I'm..." Chloé started but wasn't sure what she would tell that woman.

The eldery woman just gave her a sweet smile.

"We don't think like that when we are young because at that point we think that we have all the time in the world. But as we get older and the opportunities get lesser and the happiness dissapears we start to think about it more and more. Would I have done things differently if I could relive my life knowing what I know today? Absolutely. But that's the funny thing with life. We never know anything other than what we know at this very moment."

The woman gave the violin a long look before she gave it back to Chloé.

"Are you not going to buy it?" Chloé wondered.

Chloé had thought that the eldery woman had come to purchase a violin to get back into her old life and was quite surprised when the woman gave it back to her. Thinking a little bit about her question, Chloé wondered if the woman had been offended by her choice of words. But the woman just kept on smiling, which made Chloé relax a little and worry less about the possibility of her offending the eldery woman.

"Not that one. It used to be my life, a life I'm never getting back. But I would love to get another for a life I will have from now on." the woman explained and started examinate the other violins close by.

Chloé nodded before she put the violin back on its spot. It did make sense in her eyes that the woman would want something newer rather than a memory of the past she would never be able to restore.

When Chloé turned around the eldery woman held a white violin in her hands and looked at it with teary eyes. For a moment Chloé just stood there in silence and wondered if anything had happened that made the woman almost cry. But when she saw the joy in the eldery woman's face she knew that the woman had found a new piece for her future.

"A white violin?" Chloé said and walked up to the woman.

"Yes. I saw it and felt a strong connection to it. I know this is the one." the eldery woman explained when she finally tore her eyes away from the violin to look at Chloé.

"It's nice." Chloé said and smiled at the woman.

"Do you mind if I try it?" the woman asked shyly.

"No, not at all." Chloé told the woman right away, she didn't mind it one bit.

The eldery woman placed the violin between her jaw and the collar bone. For a moment it looked as if the woman had done something wrong and although Chloé wasn't an expert on any instrument, she was sure that that was exactly how anyone would hold a violin to play it.

A second passed and the woman took a more relaxed position before she took a deep breath. She placed the bow on top of the strings and started playing.

The sound that filled the music store was nothing Chloé had ever heard before. It sounded calm with a hint of terror in it. It made her relax but still stay on her guard as if something horrible was about to happen at any second. Even if the sound made her feel all those things she couldn't help but love it.

When the music stopped and the woman beamed with happiness Chloé couldn't keep herself quiet for many seconds after.

"That was amazing." Chloé told the woman.

"Thank you." the eldery woman said and looked proud. "I thought I had forgotten how to play."

"Clearly you haven't" Chloé praised the woman.

"I'd like to purchase this violin, if that's okay with you?" the woman asked.

"Absolutely." Chloé said and instantly remembered the problem with the cash register. "You can go to the check out. I just need to have a short conversation with my boss."

The woman nodded before she walked away and Chloé went into the back room where she knew Luka was. She opened the door and walked inside.

"Hey. There's a woman out there that wants to bu-" Chloé said and went quiet when she entered and noticed the state Luka was in.

Luka was standing with his phone in his hand and staring down at it with fear on his face. The phone made a sound that sounded familiar, but Chloé couldn't remember where she had heard it before.

"Luka?" Chloé said and took a few steps closer to him. "What's going on?"

Luka looked up as if he just noticed that she was in the same room as him. He slowly rose his arm up to show Chloé his phone and when she saw what it was on it she couldn't help but feel fear herself.

It had been three years since she had heard the akuma alert the last time and it had not ended well for any of the heroes that last time. Even if she felt a responsibility as a hero herself she couldn't help but be a little scared. No one had fought a real villain in years and today that was about to change.

Chloé took a deep breath.

"There's a woman out there that wants to buy a violin. Can you help with that?" Chloé wondered.

Luka slowly nodded and started moving.

Chloé followed after and started thinking of excuses she could make to get away from the music store to go out there and help Ladybug and the rest of the heroes with the akuma. She had to think fast, because she knew that every hero was needed at this very moment.
