"This way!" Chloé told Viperion and dragged him with her.

They ran down the street toward the place Ladybug had told Chloé where the other heroes were at. It wasn't that far away, but Chloé and Viperion had to get Shadow Mirror's attention and make him follow them. But first they had to find him.

"How are we going to find him?" Viperion asked as if he had read Chloé's mind.

"Last time I saw him, at least I think it was him, was when I was on top of a building together with Bunnyx. He is invisible, but we can still see his shadow." Chloé explained and looked around to see if she could see any shadow that looked out of place.

"I see." Viperion said and started to slow down. "Maybe we should split?"

Chloé stopped and turned around. Viperion almost crashed right into her, but was able to stop at the very last second before that happened.

"I don't think so." Chloé said.

Bunnyx had told her that everything would be fine if she stayed close with Viperion. She wasn't going to let him go just so she could get caught by Shadow Mirror and end up inside his mirror. She liked mirrors, at least the normal kind.

"Okay. So, stick together then?" Viperion asked and gave her the sweetest smile that made her cheeks grow hot.

Chloé quickly turned around and hoped Viperion didn't notice how red her face was.

"Yes. Come on." Chloé said and started running again.

She could hear Viperion behind her and was relieved to know she wasn't all alone. She didn't know what Bunnyx was up to or why she preferred to stay away from both her and Viperion. Wouldn't it be much better if they were three that played bait instead of just the two of them?

"Hey, wait!" Viperion screamed and took a hold on Chloé to stop her from moving farther forward.

She was about to turn around and ask him what was going on when she noticed the elderly woman that had been at the music store earlier that day. The woman was walking over the street and holding onto her white violin.

Any other time that would have been a quite normal sighting on the streets of Paris, but this time it wasn't. There was a giant black spot where the woman was walking, and the spot grew smaller and smaller for each second that passed.

Chloé pulled herself from Viperion's hold and started running toward the woman. She knew she could make it, at least she hoped she would. She knew she was one of the fastest heroes and this time it felt like she had to prove it.

When Chloé was close enough to the woman she threw herself toward her. She held the elderly woman close to her as they flew over the ground and Chloé made sure not to hurt the woman as they landed. The violin flew from the womans hands and smashed down on the ground. It made a horrible sound and Chloé didn't have to look to know that the violin was damaged.

"What are you doing?" the elderly woman asked terrified.

Chloé let go of the woman and looked toward the area where the shadow was at. It wasn't getting smaller in size or even larger. It stood still, and Chloé knew she had Shadow Mirrors attention.

"I'm so sorry." Chloé quickly told the woman. "There's an ongoing akuma attack and you are in the middle of the fight. You need to leave this place."

"But. I need-" the woman said and looked down on the ground where her broken violin laid.

"I will make sure you get it back when Ladybug fixes everything. Now move!" Chloé said and made herself sound as demanding as she could.

The woman quickly nodded and started moving away from the spot. When she was in a safe distance Chloé turned toward the shadow again and noticed that Viperion hadn't moved one inch from the spot the both of them had stopped at. He was now standing on the other side of where Shadow Mirror were at.

"What are you doing?" Chloé said loudly and smirked. "Are you afraid to look into a mirror?"

Viperion gave her a questioning look and Chloé couldn't blame him for not understanding what she was doing. It wasn't that obvious.

"You look fine, Viperion, so don't worry about it." Chloé said and looked up, above the shadow on the ground. "I can't say the same thing about him though."

She noticed that the dark spot on the ground was slowly turning toward her. For one tiny second Chloé felt successful, but then she remembered that Viperion was far away from her. He wasn't by her side anymore.

"I'm not afraid." an angry male voice said loudly.

"It seems like you are." Chloé said and started backing away from the spot.

"I'm not!" the same voice screamed.

The spot was starting to move toward her. It didn't move fast, just enough so that she could walk in a slow pace, so she wasn't too worried yet. But if she remembered correctly when it came to akumatized villains, things could change quickly.

"Well. I'm terrified to look into mirrors." Chloé said and nodded toward Viperion who finally seemed to understand what she was doing.

She felt relieved when Viperion started to move. It was nice to know she wasn't entirely alone this moment even if Shadow Mirror was moving toward her and not away from her. At least she didn't have to worry about Viperion's safety and for Chloé that was enough.

"But not as terrified you seem to be." Chloé mocked the akumatized villain.

Shadow Mirror gave away a loud sound of anger before he started moving toward her in a much faster speed. The shadow on the ground was just meters away from Chloé before she turned around and started running.

Even if she couldn't hear anything she could feel Shadow Mirror behind her. It almost felt as if he was reaching for her with a cold dead hand that would drag her inside his mirror and make her into a shadow he would use to fight someone. She didn't want that and ran even faster than she thought was possible.

"Queen Bee duck down!" Viperion screamed behind her.

Chloé didn't waste one second and threw herself down on the ground. She rolled around a couple of times, but it didn't hurt her one bit. She stopped when she was lying on her stomach and she quickly turned her head back to check what was going on.

She felt something going above her and chills went down her spine when she realised that Shadow Mirror had picked out his mirror. When the now much smaller shadow that went over the ground had passed her she quickly stood up and a moment later Viperion got to her.

"Are you alright?" he asked and looked her all over to see if there was any damage visible.

"Yeah." Chloé breathed out. "I'm fine. That was close."

She looked at Viperon who seemed to relax when he knew Chloé was fine.

"At least you got his attention." Viperion said and looked toward the place Shadow Mirror were at.

"Yeah. It's just a few more blocks until we reach the others." Chloé said and turned toward the same direction that Viperion was facing.

"Let's keep going." Viperion said and started walking.

Chloé followed him and as they were going closer to Shadow Mirror she was starting to wonder why he didn't put up a bigger fight. Sure, it had been ages ago since they had faced a akumatized villain. But it had never been like this before.

Shadow Mirror stopped at a spot and seemed to not want to move anymore. He was quiet and didn't utter one word when Chloé and Viperion walked pass him at a safe distance. When they stopped in front of him, Chloe knew something was wrong.

"This feels too easy." Chloé whispered to Viperion.

He gave her a quick look before he turned to Shadow Mirror with a suspicious gaze.

"Yes, now thar you mention it. It's too easy." Viperion said in a low voice.

Chloé made a gesture for them to move, and Viperion nodded. As they were walking, the shadow on the ground started moving, following them in a slow pace.

They exchanged a look.

"Too easy." Chloé muttered.

As they were walking Chloé looked around and realised that she hadn't seen another person than that elderly lady with her white violin. There hadn't even been one person inside that interior design shop she had been hiding inside, which was quite strange.

"Bunnyx said that he uses his mirror to catch people and then uses them as shadows to fight. But he hasn't used any shadows as far as I can see." Chloé said.

She was starting to feel very worried by now. They were leading Shadow Mirror to the other heroes, and what would happen when they got there she had no idea. Sure, she had heard Ladybug's plan. But how often did a plan actually work out?

Chloé shook her head and decided to not think about it anymore. She had to put those thought away and hope for the best. The other heroes must have fought Shadow Mirror already and knew all about his powers. That or if Bunnyx had informed them like she had with Chloé when they meet.

"So. You want to tell me where you were?" Viperion asked.

"What?" Chloé wondered.

He gave her a long look before he spoke.

"You were gone for quite some time." he finally said.

"Are you really going to ask about that now? Aren't we in the middle of a fight with a akumatized villain for the first time in three years?" Chloé said with a much higher voice than she had to.

"Do you want to talk about it tomorrow then?" he wondered.

Chloé glared at him.

"Or never?" he asked.

Chloé sighed.

"We can talk about it tomorrow at our patrol." Chloé said.

"Sounds good." Viperion said and gave her a quick smile.

Chloé looked over her shoulder to see if Shadow Mirror was still following them. She almost wished he didn't, but knew it was for the best. He was still following them like a well-behaved dog would follow its owner.

"So what was you doing when the akuma alert went out?" Viperion asked.

Chloé turned to him.

"Are we really going to have a small talk while we are being followed by a akumatized villain?" Chloé asked Viperion.

"I haven't had a chance to actually talk to you since you disappeared months ago." Viperion said and gave her a sad look.

"Oh." Chloé said and smiled at him. "You missed me!"

"Of course I did. I think most of us did." Viperion said.

"I doubt that." Chloé said.

"No, really. I think everyone asked about you." Viperion said and gave her a look that meant that he didn't lie to her, something Chloé already knew he would never do.

Chloé shook her head.

"They probably wanted to take over my Miraculous and become the next Queen Bee." Chloé said jokingly.

Viperion laughed, and Chloé couldn't help but smile. It was such a beautiful thing to listen to, almost as good as that melody the elders woman had played on the violin for her earlier that day.

"I doubt anyone but you could be Queen Bee." Viperion said when he stopped laughing.

Chloé nodded and looked away when Viperion's green eyes beamed at her. It was too much for her to handle in this moment and almost made her forget where they were and what was following them. When she looked away, she realised where they were at.

"We are here." Chloé heard herself say.

They had reached the place the other heroes were at and Chloé wasn't sure how they could have gotten there so quickly.

The two of them stopped at the same time and turned around to face Shadow Mirror only to notice that he was gone.

"Where is he?" Chloé asked.

Both her and Viperion looked around and as time moved on and none of them found Shadow Mirror, Chloé was starting to get angry. She had one job, and she couldn't even do that right.

"We should have focused on our assignment rather than talking." Chloé said angrily.

She took up her communication device to contact Ladybug and inform her that they had lost track on Shadow Mirror, but before she had a chance to do so a shadow fell over the spot she and Viperion stood at.

Both she and Viperion looked up and Chloé realised that it wasn't Shadow Mirrors shadow, it was all of the people he had trapped inside his mirror that was falling down from the sky, heading right toward the two of them.

Before Chloé could react Viperion took a hold on her and jumped away from the place. He held her tightly as he jumped from the street up to a nearby roof. He let go of her when they landed on it and looked down on the street where a lot of shadows fell.

"Well you did say it was too easy." Viperion commented.

Chloé looked down on the street and felt a shiver go through her whole body. She had to admit it, but Hawk Moth sure had gotten some new ideas when it came to akumatized villains. She just hoped they were as easy to defeat as before.
