answers to reviewers questions and statements:

Bladwolf101: Maybe, maybe not.

Guest: There's a difference between using science to figure how the world works, and using science to figure out how to harness a cosmic power for one's own ends.

MCRasengan: Simple, it's the little things over the course of a period of time and good old Parker Charm, but now with a malevolent edge to it.

Joe Lawyer: It shall be. Peter's told her he's been faithful, but she's understandably hesitant to trust him given his family and upbringing in general. But she'll learn that a man like him does have needs and she may or may not be up to matching those needs with her own... with a few partners thrown in to enhance the experience.

Bio RL: Just because I don't post updates regularly doesn't mean the story's dropped or abandoned.

Zaraki6: Who says he's going to be a hero? It can be argued he's the 'hero' of this story but he's not a hero like the Justice League is. He has and will do whatever it takes to come out on top.

ultron emperor: No, she's getting something else.

superpierce: He's really only the God of Spiders for the moment, could expand once he begins to obtain more power. Carol is Half-Kree and Half-New God, how she came to Apokolips and ended up under Peter will be explored once Diana begins to actually interact with her future 'sisters'. From how I see it, yes he's connected ot his other selves but they largely are independent of himself unless he enters that universe which at that point it seems he becomes that universe's Darkseid and obtains all the information they know so he's not going in blind, sorta like Ultron and his drones to a degree. At least that's how I have him set up here.

Djberneman: I know it seems like the story is moving fast because there's now apparently three of the six stones in play, but it really isn't. It'll be a long time until the other three make an appearance and it's still gonna be a bit until Peter gains all three of the current stones.

Mashot Tito: We'll see how Peter plans to utilize the Stones later down the road. I think it'll be pretty unique.

Alex-Flyppy: It wont be another Amazon and it wont be a hero, at least in the traditional sense. Diana wont be getting Stormbreaker, that was just thrown in as a little Easter egg of sorts. Vision will be sticking around for a bit, even though it'll be a while until we see him again. Like when Diana heads back to Earth while.

Devil Rebel: Did he outsmart Metron, or did Metron outsmart him by having him think he outsmarted him?

Disclaimer: I don't own any Marvel or DC characters seen, mentioned or used.

Once, Diana, like many others in the Justice League, believed that Superman was the most powerful being they'd ever meet. But as the years went on and the League encountered the likes of Darkseid, Brainiac, Mongul, Zod, Black Adam, and the likes of Ares and Hercules, Diana quickly learned that as strong as her beloved was, there were many in the universe that could not only rival him in sheer raw strength, but even surpass him.

Orion of new genesis may not be the latter, but he was most certainly the former.

'He also possesses less restraint than Kal ever had. All he does is put as much power into each blow as he can' Diana thought for a brief moment before Orion's fist slammed into her face, snapping her head to the side with such force she swore she heard her bones groan in discomfort as she was sent flying through the air.

The world around Diana seemed to briefly turn into a blur before her body slammed into the re-enforced walls of Odin's vault, sending tremors throughout the room. Whatever spells had strengthened this room's foundations were powerful, Diana felt that her impact was enough to rival a sub-atomic explosion or two and had she struck a building back on earth with the force that she had could very well take out an entire city block. With a pained groan, Diana pulled herself out of the small crater her body made and looked to see Orion charging towards her. Diana waited until Orion was closer before she kicked off the wall and summersaulted over the New God's head and sent both her feet right into Orion's back.

The force of the blow created a small shockwave and propelled Orion into the wall with enough force to send the Highfather's adopted son clean through and into the next room.

'That should keep him busy' Diana thought as she landed in a roll before spring boarding back to her feet and taking a quick look around to see if there was any more New Genesis warriors or even the fire demons she and the rest of the Furies encountered earlier.

Aside from a few dozen skeletons clad in what she assumed was armor at one point before it rusted away, there was nothing of any real significance in this chamber. She was just about to fly back out the hole that brought her and Orion in here earlier when something out of the corner of her eye caught her attention. Turning her head slightly, Diana saw towards the other end of the chamber a massive husk of what looked to be a larger version of the Fire Demons she saw outside, only this creature possessed four arms and two heads.

And lying in it's chest looked to be some sort of ax.

Diana's eyes narrowed a little at this before she turned away and prepared to head back to the chamber she was in earlier before she found herself turning back towards the long dead fire giant and the ax embedded in it's body. Without another word, Diana flew over towards the dead giant and quietly landed on it's chest, her eyes darting up towards it's two heads to see if they'll react to her presence like it's smaller kin had outside.

'Perhaps if I don't blast it with anything it wont notice me' Diana thought with a dry laugh as she glanced at the ax in front of her and slowly reached for the ax's handle.

The moment her fingers brushed the wooden surface, she felt an odd mixture of ice and electricity flow up her arm and into her body before it seemed to settle in her chest. Diana couldn't stop the gasp from escaping her as she took a step back in surprise. The edges of the ax's blade glowed while a series of intricate markings appeared on it's surface, seeming to pulse with power before they faded to a dimmer color.

'By the grace of Gaia, what was that?' Diana thought with shock as she glanced down at her hand to see if the ax had left any marks on her flesh.

Her hand was unscathed but the odd feeling of ice and lightning continued to beat in her chest, almost like a second heart. And with every beat, Diana noticed the markings on the ax brightened ever so slightly before dimming again. She stared at the mysterious weapon with a guarded look on her face as she tried to understand what had just happened when suddenly Orion suddenly crashed through the wall with a yell. Diana had only just been able to turn towards the enraged New God before he slammed into her with enough force to cause an audible 'pop' to emanate from her chest as they flew off the dead giant's torso and tumbled to the floor.

Diana let out a pained yelp as she suddenly found it harder to breath as she and Orion rolled across the ground, the New God sending as many blows into her as he could while she tried to escape from the berserking man's grasp. Thankfully, decades of grueling, limb breaking wrestling matches on Themyscira had given Diana enough experience to free herself from Orion's grasp long enough for her to maneuver around and wrap her arms around the man's neck and pull him into a headlock. The New God let out a vicious snarl that seemed more fitting for a beast than a deity and began to thrash about, trying to throw Diana off. The raven haired woman gritted her teeth as she used her legs to wrap around Orion's torso and help impair most of his upper body's movement.

"L-Let... g-go..." Orion growled out as he struggled to breath while his vision began to blur a bit.

"Submit!" Diana gritted out as she struggled to maintain her hold on Orion.

"N-N-Nev...er!" Orion said as he slowly climbed to his feet before he bent his knees and than leaped into the air and towards the ceiling.

Diana realized Orion's intent and quickly released her hold on him and kicked away at the last second, sending the New God flying across the room and into the wall while she flew back down to the ground where the ax laid. With every inch she drew closer, the odd beating in her chest began to grow and lightning began to dance across the ax's surface. By the time she touched down next to the ax, it's blade was practically glowing with electricity and seemed to be at the center of a small storm. Diana stared into the ax with wide eyes as the beating in her very being seemed to intensify tenfold, causing her to let out a gasp as it felt like a storm would erupt from her chest before the sensation began to subside and the storm around the ax began to lessen and seemed to be waiting for something...

Waiting for her.

Diana bit her lip as she stared at the mysterious yet undeniably powerful weapon as it called to her. How it was or how she could tell it was calling to her was a mystery she doubts even the likes of the Athena could begin to understand. It wasn't until Diana felt the wooden material of the ax's handle and the weight of the weapon in her hands that she finally snapped out of whatever trance she was in.

"W-What?" Diana said as she found herself holding the ax, her reflection clear as day on it's metallic stone like surface.

Electric blue eyes reflected back at Diana as she found herself memorized by the weapon in her hands. Despite the fact it was clearly made for someone else, it seemed to fit her like a glove, as the saying went. Every breath she took seemed to invigorate the ax which in turn seemed to pour it's power into her very being, empowering her in ways that she's rarely felt without aid from her former Pantheon.

"DIANNNNNA!" Orion's roar caused Diana to turn and see Orion had leaped from the hole she made with his body earlier and land in a kneeling position just a few dozen meters away from her.

The ground shook under the force of Orion's landing and began to crack as the New God slowly rose to his feet, his eyes glaring at Diana with rage. The sheer potency of the malice in Orion's eyes caused a shiver to run up Diana's spine as she was reminded just whose son Orion really was...

'If I ever had doubts he was Darkseid's son... they'd be gone right now' Diana thought as she stared back at Orion.

New Genesis's Dog of War breathed heavily as he glared at Diana, his fists clenching and unclenching with every breath he took as he began to step towards the former Amazon Princess.

"When I first heard that you were being taken to Apokolips, I for a while though you'd be able to resist the cruel corruption of that hell" Orion gritted out with each footstep "That you'd stay true to the woman that I knew you too be. A champion of justice and peace!"

"I still am Orion!" Diana snapped with her eyes narrowing at the New God "But you were asking me to stand by and allow you and the Highfather to commit evils that I'd expect from Darkseid and his kin!"

"There is no sin in wiping that damned monster and his brood of horrors' from existence" Orion hissed in anger as he pointed at Diana "You and Earth have no idea of the monster he truly is! You haven't seen him at his worse! Haven't seen him reduce entire worlds to ash simply because they were in his way. Never seen the families he's massacred because it amused him! All those invasions he's launched against the Earth over the years? The 'Nightmares' he's inflicted upon you all? Those were mere half hearted attempts on his part or when he was feeling bored!"

Before Diana came to Apokolips and began to live among it's people, she would've scoffed at Orion's statements, countering that she and the League have seen the worse that Darkseid had to offer. But seeing the legions upon legions of Parademons, Furies and other nightmarish creatures under his command, the scope of his Empire's resources, the sheer lengths he's willing to go to, it honestly left her wondering if all the invasions he's attempted over the years, all the schemes really were actual attempts at conquering Earth and not just a mere pass time for him. A small part of her hoped to the Fates that it wasn't the case, to discover that all the sacrifices and loss Earth had endured at the hands of Apokolips was for nothing, and that if Darkseid truly wanted them all dead, they'd be long gone by now.

"No one is innocent on that wretched planet Diana!" Orion snarled towards the Amazon "Not a damn thing! Not Darkseid, not whatever whore that's caught his fancy, the 'slaves' that roam his world and most definitely not the horrid spawn he's created over the centuries!"

"I assume you don't count yourself among them?" Diana asked.

"I've been saved from that bastard's influence" Orion snapped with so much venom in his tone, the former princess half expected him to choke on it.

'Though from what I'm beginning to see, he's suffering from enough of someone else's 'venom'' Diana thought as she scanned the room for a way out.

She needed to locate the Black Vortex and find a way to either destroy it or render it incapable of being used by either Darkseid or the Highfather. Though it'd be easier if Orion wasn't trying to break her in half.

"Shame you weren't!" Orion yelled as he slammed his hands into the ground, cracking it before he tore a large chunk of it out and threw it at Diana.

Diana's eyes narrowed as she felt the ax in her hands vibrate before she held it up and swung the blade horizontally across the make shift projectile, cleaving it clean in two while a shower of sparks danced along the blade's edge. Orion seemed surprised by this before he huffed and charged towards Diana with one of his hands contorting into a fist. Diana took several steps back and waited until Orion was closer before she struck out with the ax's handle towards Orion's face, intending to stagger the New God. Orion, however, was faster than he looked and quickly ducked under the attack before he shot back up and grabbed the ax's handle with the intent of ripping the weapon out of Diana's hands, or at the very least keep her from using it.

At least that was before tens of millions of volts of electricity raced up Orion's arms and into the rest of his body. Diana stared with shock as Orion was electrocuted before a pulse pushed Orion back, his body emanating smoke while his hands seemed to be badly burnt.

"Since... when the hell... could you... do that?" Orion demanded with pained breaths.

"Since... now" Diana said as she stared at the ax in her hands with wide eyes.

As much as she hated to admit it, she was starting to like this ax even more so than the sword Peter had gifted her, if only because it seemed more practical for combat than her Mother Box sword. Orion growled at Diana's response as he risked a glance at his hands and saw his palms were covered in a multitude of blisters that were beginning to bleed. Diana watched as the sight of Orion's own blood seemed to be angering the New God even more so, as if he couldn't believe that he was actually hurt to such a degree. The New God let out a howl of rage before he tightened his bleeding hands into a pair of fists and rushed towards Diana.

The Amazon's grip on the ax tightened as Orion charged towards her like a beast possessed, his face contorted into a cruel snarl.

Just as Diana raised her weapon to attack the approaching New God, a 'Boom' echoed behind her shortly before twin beams of energy shot past Diana's head, lightly singeing her hair on one side before slamming into Orion's chest. New Genesis's 'Dog of War' let loose a howl of pain as the twin beams burned into his flesh and brought him to a stop before collapsing to his knees. Diana looked over her shoulder to see Faora standing there, a Boom Tube opened behind her with several Parademons standing along it's edge, their energy rifles aimed at the Highfather's adopted son.

"Faora?" Diana said with obvious shock.

"Diana, once again in need of saving. I'm beginning to wonder how it is Zod and I had lost to you and your brute of a mate when I was last on Earth" the Kryptonian responded in a curt tone, her eyes still glowing red from the built up heat vision "Get in the portal, now!"

Diana frowned at this "But what about-"

"Psylocke has already retrieved it" Faora interrupted the Amazon before she sent another blast of heat vision towards Orion, this one sending him flying back from the sheer force of it "Now get into the Portal, now!"

Diana's eyes narrowed at the former lover of Zod before she let out a sigh and reluctantly made her way towards the Boom Tube while Faora and her Parademons kept an eye on Orion.

"DIANA!"

The former Amazon Princess stopped and turned back to see Orion climbing back to his feet, his front smoldering from Faora's heat vision. His helmet had been blasted off around the eyes, allowing Diana to see his eyes narrowed in rage while his lips curled into a snarl.

"You'll regret choosing to aid those monsters" he growled as he took a step forward before he fell back to his knees with a pained groan.

Diana stared at the adopted son of the Highfather for a moment before she closed her eyes and took a deep breath. When she opened than, she turned on her heel and proceeded into the portal, followed closely by Faora and her Parademons and back to Apokolips.

...

Diana knew the moment she stepped into Darkseid's throne room with the rest of the Furies who accompanied her to Asgard an hour after their return, the dreaded lord of Apokolips was in a dark mood.

Well, darker than usual.

The only sounds that echoed through the massive room were the sounds of Darkseid's footfalls as he paced before the kneeling Furies, his hands behind his back and his eyes glowing with rage and the Omega Effect. Off to the side stood Granny Goodness who stood still as a statue and stared at the floor with a blank expression on her face. Finally, he came to a stop and glanced at the leader of the Furies, Granny Goodness, and spoke in a cold, heavy tone that seemed to shake the very air around him.

"How did the Highfather discover the location of the Black Vortex?" he demanded with a growl.

"I'm... I'm unsure my lord" Granny Goodness said as a very light sheen began to build on her brow as she found herself at the center of Darkseid's attention "We believe that it was a simple coincidence that we happen to be there when they arrived. Based on the reports of my Furies, it seemed that New Genesis didn't seem to expect to encounter our people there"

"And yet Orion and Lightray, two of the Highfather's most powerful, were sent to recover the Black Vortex" Darkseid said as he turned his attention towards where the ominous mirror stood, his eyes gazing into it's depths with an unreadable expression on his face.

Diana had no idea what the dark lord was looking for and she honestly hoped she never would. She was still too busy mentally kicking herself over and over again by allowing the likes of Darkseid to gain such a powerful weapon to his arsenal, a weapon that can be used to not only magnify his powers, by that of his servants as well. The thought of legions of cosmically empowered Parademons rampaging across the universe filled Diana with a sense of dread she hadn't felt in years.

'No one would be able to stop them' Diana thought as she stared at the floor with an almost defeated expression on her face 'Not the Justice League. Not the Green Lanterns, not even New Genesis itself will be safe from Darkseid's wrath'

Diana's gaze flickered towards the Black Vortex all the while Darkseid continued to question Granny Goodness on the performance of the Furies. One way or another, she had to find a way to destroy the Black Vortex before it could be used to serve Darkseid's ever growing war machine, before it was too late. She couldn't overtly do it, there'd be far too many risks and she'd run the risk of Darkseid inflicting his rage upon her home and the people she loved in retaliation. Diana's eyes briefly glanced at her newly squired ax, resting in front of her and wondered if it could be strong enough to destroy the ancient cosmic device before she ended that train thought.

'Too obvious. Anyone with half a mind would be able to tell if it was me' Diana thought with a mental sigh 'Which means I'll need to find another way to remove the Black Vortex from Darkseid's grasp. And not just him, but anyone else that wishes to harness it's power as well'

Which mean she couldn't give it to the likes of the Green Lanterns, they'd just be drawing a massive target on themselves for Darkseid and perhaps even the Highfather to attack. The Justice League was also ruled out for a similar reason and because Earth held far too many people that would also seek to abuse the Vortex's power.

The idea of someone like Lex Luthor gaining cosmic powers seemed almost as horrifying as Darkseid gaining them.

"I see I'm not the only one to prosper from Asgard's remains"

Diana blinked at the sound of Darkseid's voice being directed at her and looked up slightly to see his glowing red eyes on her, or more specifically, the ax next to her. The dark New God slowly approached, his footsteps like miniature earthquakes and seemed to create a deep 'boom' as he walked. As the ruler of Apokolips drew closer, Diana's hand drifted to the handle of her newly acquired ax and felt the storm begin to build within her chest again. Darkseid stopped a few feet from Diana, looking even larger than usual given she's kneeling and he's standing at his full height. The Amazon struggled not to fidget under her demented father-in-law's gaze.

She was used to glares, scowls and snarls from the malevolent God, but curiosity mixed with mild amusement, was something else entirely.

Suddenly Darkseid was reaching down and grabbing the ax, his face twitching as sparks began to emanate from his hand and the smell of burning fabric and metal reached Diana's nose. It seemed that Darkseid was made of sterner stuff than his estranged son, or he was better at controlling his reactions to pain.

'I'm betting it's a little bit of both' Diana thought as Darkseid brought up the ax and examined it closely, dragging a finger along the blade's edge before he pulled it back suddenly.

Diana's brow furrowed at this before she saw blood trickle from his finger and on to the floor.

"Still sharp after all these years..." Darkseid murmured.

"Do you... recognize this weapon?" Diana asked as she looked up towards the New God's face.

The Furies around her seemed to gape at the fact she spoke without their lord's leave, even more so that she'd look him in the eye when she did it. Darkseid seemed unbothered by it, at least for the time being, as he stared at the small cut on his finger before he hummed.

"Jarnbjorn... the son of Odin's preferred weapon until he was gifted with that ridiculous hammer of his" the dark god said as he dropped the ax to the floor and turned away from Diana and the rest of the Furies and proceeded to return to his throne.

Before Diana could say anything else, a loud 'boom' echoed through the room before the twin massive doors that allowed entry into the throne room began to fall part as if they were made of ash before turning into bubbles.

Diana had to hold back a chuckle at the sight of all the Furies, even Granny Goodness, gaping at the sight of a small baby, Armria, crawled into the throne room. Behind the small babe was a squad of Parademons who seemed to be torn on what to do with the small babe. They seemed to afraid to touch her, likely because of the risk their claws might do to the child, but also in the likely hood one of them is changed into something that may cost them their hold on her and drop her. Armria looked around the room with her space like eyes before her gaze seemed to settle on Darkseid's form and she gave the dreaded ruler a wide toothy grin and began t make a series of gurgling sounds as she crawled towards her father.

The adorable look of concentration on the child's face was enough to cause Diana to smile as the innocent yet horrifyingly powerful infant slowly made her way to her sire.

Minutes slowly ticked by as the baby crossed the distance from the doors towards Darkseid, stopping only for a moment to stare at the Furies with confusion before making a series of happy, excited sounds at the sight of them and resumed her trek to her father. When she was close, Dakseid slowly lowered himself to his knee and held a hand out for Armria to take. The sight of Darkseid actually lowering himself to draw his daughter's attention to him was something that Diana knew no one back on Earth would ever believe, even if she had a actual picture of it.

'I can only imagine the look on Bruce's face if he saw-' Diana began before her thoughts were interrupted by the sight of the floor between Darkseid and Armria turning to snow.

Armria let out a delighted sound as she buried her face in the snow before rolling over, making a myriad of happy, content noises. Darkseid remained where he was while Granny Goodness gestured for the Furies to follow her out of the throne room along with the Parademons. Diana casted a brief glance back at Armria, a small smile still adorned on her face as she watched the happy baby bask in the attention she was receiving from her father, even if said father was Darkseid.

'I hope she'll remain pure as she grows older' Diana thought, even though she knew the likelihood of such a thing happening was remote.

It wasn't until Diana was back in her room, removing her armor and preparing for a shower when the memory of Armria's reality warping abilities came to her and a possible plan began to formulate. One that may see to the end of any plans that Darkseid had for the Black Vortex.

She just hoped to all of the Gods she knew and didn't know that Darkseid was a forgiving parent when it came to his youngest.

'If it seems he wont, than I'll take full responsibility' Diana thought as she removed the last of her armor and set it aside to be cleaned later while she silently made her way towards the bathroom, her form bare for all to see.

Diana had just reached the doorway when suddenly the door to her and Peter's room opened and in walked the man himself, his mask retracted to show a pleased expression on his face.

"Oh honey I'm hom-" Peter began before he paused mid-step and stared at Diana with wide eyes.

Diana's response was a simple quirked eyebrow as his eyes gazed over her nude figure, his eyes lingering on the already fading bruises from her battle with Orion. Several seconds of awkward silence ticked by before Diana turned towards Peter and loudly cleared her throat while she placed a hand on her hip.

"Is there something you need?" she asked with an air of impatience.

Peter didn't respond right away as he continued to stare at Diana with a intense gaze that she's normally seen him adopt when he was in the midst of one of his experiments. A small part of her vanity was pleased at his attention while the rest of her was annoyed at his prolonged staring. True, she could cover up, but she found it a bit pointless to cover up only for a few seconds before having to disrobe again.

Finally Peter seemed to feel the intensity of Diana's own gaze on him and quickly shook himself out of whatever trance he was under and looked up towards her face, though it was obvious he was struggling to not look below her neck.

"I heard your mission to Asgard was a success" Peter said as he glanced towards where Diana had left her armor, the Mother Box sword and Jarnbjorn. He seemed a bit amused by the sight of her newly acquired ax "See you brought back a souvenir"

"Your father seemed surprised by it's appearance" Diana said as she glanced back at the powerful weapon.

"Must be special if he's bothered to know it's name" Peter said with a thoughtful look on his face as he approached it and made to grab it when Diana spoke up.

"It'll electrocute you if you touch it" she advised.

Peter's hand froze a few centimeters from the ax's grip "How bad?"

"Enough to leave burns on your half brother and father" Diana revealed as she remembered the two similar yet different reactions to someone else aside from her touching that ax.

"Remind me to trick Grayven to grab this" Peter said as he retracted his hand from the ax and placed a few feet between him and it as a further precaution.

Diana had to hold back a chuckle at this before she turned to head into the bathroom when Peter spoke up.

"So, I'm told that things got a little... hectic out there" Peter said as Diana switched on the water and set it to a warmer setting.

"What do you mean?" Diana said as she held a hand under the water and waited for it to reach a desirable level for her to use.

"Just what Psylocke told me" Peter said as he appeared in the doorway and leaded against the frame with his arms across his chest "According to her, you didn't seem quite onboard with recovering the Black Vortex. In fact, it seemed like, according to her, that you wanted to destroy it more than anything else"

Diana said nothing as she stared at her hand while a small puddle formed in her palm before it began to overflow and leak on to the shower floor. She could feel Peter's gaze on her, waiting to see how she'll react, be it verbal or physical. After a few moments, she heard him sigh and run a hand through his hair.

"You know, if my father found out about that, your debriefing in the throne room would've ended a lot differently" he said.

This caused Diana to frown as she looked over her shoulder at Peter "She didn't tell him?"

"No" Peter said with a shake of his head.

"Why's that?" Diana asked with curiosity.

"Eh, don't worry about it" Peter said with a shrug "All that matters is that my father doesn't know nor will he ever if I can help it"

Diana hummed at this before she gave Peter a brief smirk as she returned her attention to her shower "Careful 'dear husband', it's almost beginning to sound like you are about me"

"Bah don't kid yourself, I just don't need my father or anyone else looking into this too closely" Peter said with a scoff.

"And why's that?" Diana asked as she stepped into the water and closed her eyes as the warm liquid cascaded down her body.

"Like I said, don't worry about it" Peter said as he continued to stare as steam began to fill the bathroom from the heat of the water.

Diana cracked open an eye and stared at him for a moment before speaking "Would you mind closing the door?"

Peter stared at her with a expression that looked conflicted for so long that Diana was just about to shove Peter out herself, or worse if he made a move to join her, when he suddenly nodded and backed out of the bathroom and had the door closed. The Amazon let out a breath she didn't realize she was holding and quietly raised her hands to her hair and began to weave her fingers through the ebony locks while she began to hum an old song that her mother used to sing her and Donna when they were younger.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the door, Peter gave the bathroom a brief glance as he picked up Diana's faint humming before shaking his head and made his way towards the bedroom door. He stopped only for a moment to reach into his suit's subspace compartment and withdrew a glowing blue cube and held it up towards his face.

"Now, what am I gonna do with you my pretty little thing?"

...

And done.
