answers to reviewers questions or statements:

DarkThunderbird1604: Well for starters, I didn't just randomly throw that in there. Not a fan? Go bitch and moan about it somewhere else than.

The Lion's Pride: I have something in mind.

REX5678: Eventually yeah.

rebornandlost: It's more of she just doesn't want herself and Peter to be at each other's throats all the time. No, Peter's just taking every precaution he can to keep this 'marriage' going less he want's to earn Darkseid's wrath.

darthwolf: Your pretty close to some of the reasons why Peter's Furies adore him. As for Bekka, she's powerful, not as strong as Diana but she used to be a capable warrior until she was married off to Orion and he more or less reduced her to being nothing more than his bed warmer.

superpierce: Kendra Saunders, from the comics. Pre-New 52.

WerewolfDJ: No, something else will happen.

Spidey's1437: There'll be slow changes to his personality as the story goes on.

Arrow1021: He can do either if he wanted. But we're a long ways off from all six stones being gathered.

Breaking and entering wasn't exactly Peter's usual M.O. when it came to uncovering secrets or clues to his objective.

True he may end up in places he's not supposed to and collect information he's not supposed to have, but most of those times, the info was gathered through Psylocke. However since the purple haired telepath isn't due to arrive on Earth for another day or so, and Peter wanting to figure out just what exactly Oscorp is doing with the tech it was supposed to store and transport for Intergang, the New God decided to see to the matter personally.

The most logical place to look first would be Oscorp Tower, the center of Oscorp Industries in just about every way. If there was any information on where the renegade Intergang Cells were, it'll be located somewhere in the company's archives, be it digital or physical.

'And to reach said archives all I have to do is sneak into a heavily guarded tower with a unusually advance security system, avoid being discovered and recover the information without anyone realizing I'm there' Peter thought as he swung towards the tower, located towards the southern end of Manhattan Island in new York City.

The sun would be up in a few hours and the tower's main workforce would be showing up soon, so Peter would have to move fast. He could wait until that night, but if Oscorp really is as deeply connected with Intergang as it seemed on Bruno's computer, than it won't be long until they hear of the man's death. And they had to know that Bruno had to be at least somewhat suspicious of Intergang's shipments being a little 'light' whenever they were use to move weapons and other sorts of technology.

And than there was the risk of the Justice League catching on to what Peter's done.

'I'm sure they'll catch on eventually, but I'd rather have what I need by than' the New God thought as he landed on a rooftop of a building that was right next to Oscorp tower.

He spotted a number of air vents that seemed large enough for him to use to slip inside and after spending a minute debating on which one to take, Peter chose a vent that was roughly halfway up the nine hundred foot tall structure and shot a web line towards it. He wasn't picking up security measures, or signs that he was being monitored, but for some reason, Peter felt himself on edge.

It was almost like he was being watched, but wasn't at the same time.

'I'm not picking up any minds nearby with the Mind Stone' Peter thought as he landed next to the air vent he was going to use to sneak into the tower.

He tried to see if he could perhaps sense someone with the Soul Stone, but ever since his battle with Nergal, the stone has been... uncooperative. He wasn't sure why, it worked for a brief moment when he first got his hands on it and he let that child free to ensure Constantine's silence. He didn't think it was Nergal's doing, powerful as that demon was, Peter knew he wasn't powerful enough to have effected something like the Soul Stone.

'I'm missing something... but what?' Peter thought as he tore open the vent and slipped inside.

The air vents were a little cramped, enough that Peter almost felt claustrophobic, but well maintained. He didn't have to travel very far to reach another air vent and after a quick scan to make sure there wasn't any alarms attached to it, quickly pushed on the vent until it popped clean of the frame and gently lowered it to the floor with a web line.

'Okay, easy part done... now for the hard one' Peter thought as his lenses narrowed to thin glowing slits as he peered into a dark hallway with only a few lights lit up and a wooden door at the far end of the hall.

He could also see a lone guard wandering around, quietly humming to himself as he made his rounds. Peter's lenses picked up a weapon on the man's waist, though a quick scan of it showed it was nothing more than a simple side arm that shot small caliber bullets. His suit would be able to easily shrug off the projectiles, but the sound of it firing alone would draw unnecessary attention.

'Gonna have to be smart about this' Peter thought as he watched the guard carefully while also keeping an eye out for any cameras or sensors that could detect him 'Can't just kill the man, his absence will be noticed quickly and I run the risk of his body being found. and that's assuming he dies quietly... best to avoid any guards if I can help it'

With a nod to himself, Peter had the biolights of his suit shut off and switched it's systems to passive and carefully slid out from the vent and crawled up the wall and on to the ceiling, being mindful to stick to the shadows. The guard didn't seem the least bit aware that he was no longer alone in the hall as Peter silently crawled across it's ceiling, slowly passing over the ignorant man halfway to the door.

'So far so good...' Peter thought as he neared the wooden door at the end of the hall 'Hmm, not picking up any heat signatures on the other end of that door'

Still didn't mean that there wasn't some sort of security in place on the other side. With a simple mental command, Peter began to have his suit's lenses shift through various spectrums to see if he could detect anything else that could give him away as he slid the door open enough for him to slip through. The room he entered wasn't very large, and several elevators laid on the other side of the room. To his left, Peter saw a door that was bathed in some sort of light that Peter's lenses had detected being emitted from the camera.

"Best avoid that..." Peter said as he watched the camera slowly move from one side to the other, briefly leaving the door unobserved.

Moving quickly, Peter raced past the light and slipped through the door and entered a stairway, another camera lying at the top of the flight of stairs. Peter looked up towards the ceiling and shot a web line and used it to pull himself up to the next level. Seeing there was no security in place, Peter quietly exited the stairway and entered a large office space with several cubicles set up. The room was largely dim, with only a few lights on and at their lowest setting. Peter could see at least two guards wandering around and picked up several more cameras scanning the area.

'Something's not right here...' Peter thought with a frown as he stuck to the shadows and moved around the wandering guards 'This place should have more than just a few guards and cameras keeping this place secured. Oscorp is one of the leading companies in advance technology and medicine, there's no way a company like that would have such basic and underwhelming security'

Especially if said company was a part of Intergang.

'Unless...' Peter stopped and quickly looked around to make sure no one could see him and quickly leaped on to the wall and used it to get a better view of the office.

He could see what looked like a security office of some sort that overlooked the space on the opposite wall Peter was on via a large glass panel. One wall was covered in monitors and terminals wile the other had a small little rack of weapons attached to it, ranging from rifles to... rocket launchers?

'Well that's odd' Peter thought as he casted a quick glance towards the guards below to make sure they hadn't notice him yet.

Seeing that they were unaware of his presence still, Peter silently leaped across the hall and landed on the glass and brought a clawed finger up and began to slowly cut a hole big enough for him to climb through. He didn't see anyone inside the office as he cut his way in, or any cameras, either this place was really confident that no one would be able to break in, or someone was slacking in their duties.

'Something isn't right here...' Peter thought as he finished cutting the circle and lightly tapped on it, causing the now severed piece of glass to fall into the security office and quickly pulled himself in after it.

Once Peter was in, and he placed the circle back where it was, and used a bet of webbing to keep it in place, the New God turned his attention to the main security terminal in front of him.

"Now let's see where I can find those pesky archives of theirs" Peter said to himself as he stared at the terminal before he placed his hand on the terminal's monitor and had his suit activate it's hacking programs-

Peter suddenly tore his hand off the monitor just a millisecond before an alarm suddenly went off and red lights began to flash in the office outside and in the security room. The New God winced at the sound and felt a tingling at the base of his skull just as the office's doors were kicked open and three armed guards were there. Their eyes widened at the sight of Peter standing at the terminal and quickly aimed their guns at him and fired. Peter scowled as the bullets bounced off his armor and ricocheted across the room, several of them struck the window that showed the cubicles and shattered.

"You know, after shooting me eight times and seeing your bullets aren't affecting me, you'd think that maybe you should try something else, yeah?" Peter said as he stated at the still shooting guards.

When they responded with several more shots to his head, Peter sighed and raised an arm and fired off a single arc of his Venom blasts. The bioelectric blast quickly tore into the humans, burning their flesh to a charred, twisted mess. Their clothes were quickly reduced to ashes and their hair burnt up in a heartbeat, their eyes popped and cauterized within seconds and left two smoking charred pits where their eye sockets used to be. The guns they were holding glowed red briefly before they melted into the men's' hands, or what was left of them, and into the floor.

"Mmm, crispy" Peter said as he lowered his arm and stared at the charred remains of the guards with a raised brow, the smell of burnt flesh already spreading throughout the room.

Peter glanced at the terminal he attempted to hack again and considered his options, it's security system was far, far more advance than he realized when he first attempted to hack it. The level of defense was on par with what he'd find in DeSaad's labs or even Bedlam's, which were nearly up to his level of security.

'Heh, no wonder their physical security is so abysmal, they have a near unbreakable firewall protecting their information' Peter thought as he stepped away from the terminal and quickly headed for the now shattered window.

His suit wasn't fitted to hack into something so advance, not without a few modifications first, and even than it'd take too long. Best to retreat for now and send either Psylocke when she arrived on Earth or bring Ultron with him next time to breach Oscorp's firewalls.

Either way, Oscorp wasn't going anywhere anytime soon.

'And I doubt they'll move their archives-' Peter thought as he leaped down from the security office before he stopped as he suddenly came face to chest with a robot that towered over Peter by a good two feet.

It was stalk white with it's head being in the shape of some sort of cone, it's arms from the elbow down being similar in shape before ending in four finger like appendages. It's torso was in the rough shape of a diamond and sported some sort of power source on it's chest that hummed and caused Peter's lenses to polarize slightly at the intensity of the light it was emitting.

"Oooh your big" Peter said as he stared up at the massive machine with wide lenses "Let me guess, you have a ironic designation that's in contrast to your size, am I right?"

The machine made no verbal response as it raised it's arm and had it shift into some sort of energy canon and took aim at Peter's head.

"Not much of a talker either" Peter said as he leaned to the left to avoid the energy beam before he kicked the massive robot in the knee, causing the metal to buckle under the force of the blow and for Peter to grab it's oddly shaped head and lift it over his shoulder and slam it into the ground.

The force of the impact sent tremors throughout the office and caused the walls and floors to crack and sparks to begin flying from the now damaged machine's torso. Several walls from the cubicles set up around the room cracked and crumbled and Peter heard a few monitors fall to the floor and shatter. The machine was still moving, struggling to get back on it's feet, Peter responded by webbing it to the ground with a current of his Venom blasts racing through the webs, creating a net of bioelectric webbing.

"Huh, thought you'd be tougher. Still, that energy source of yours seems a little familiar-" Peter began before something unexpected happened... the air around him shimmered and he was suddenly surrounded by nine similar designed robots, all with their arm cannons aimed at him.

Peter's eyes narrowed in interest, his suit hadn't picked them up, come to think of it, it didn't pick up the machine he just destroyed either until he nearly walked right into it. For these things to have been able to avoid his suit's sensors was rather remarkable, enough that Peter made a point to keep one in tact enough for him to take apart.

"Alright, who's first?" Peter said with a shrug as he looked around to see which machine would fire first.

They all did.

...

"He's doing remarkably well against the Phase Zeroes"

"Of course he is, their still prototypes after all"

"Why not use-"

"Still in development and the Father Box we have powering it is acting... uncooperative. And it's as likely to destroy the entire city as it is him"

"We'd need to only have it on for a few minutes at best. He may be the son of that wretched God, but he's no Kalibak"

"Normally I'd agree with you but there's something... something off about him. His vitals are different from when he first arrived in Metropolis. And the sensors are picking up several odd yet identical energy signatures coming from him. His suit's subspace compartment specifically"

"Is it a Mother Box?"

"No, it's something else..."

"Hmm... so why is he here-"

"He's here to see what information we have on the remaining cells that his whore hasn't butchered yet"

"But how did he know to come here?"

"I suspect he paid Bruno a little visit first"

"Hmmm, I'll have the the data deleted and send word to Gargan to gather what's left and head deeper underground"

"See that you do. Best we can do is slow him down for the time being"

"Of course Norman... of course"

"And make the call"

"Already made, they'll be here in less than five minutes"

"Perfect"

...

"You know, I've never been a big supporter of mechanized infantry in my father's military" Peter said as he ducked under another energy canon blast and fired off several web bullets, each charged with a Venom Blast, back towards the machine that tried to shoot him "I mean yes they can operate in environments that our standard Parademon can't, and yes they can be made into literal walking armories..."

Peter leaped over another machine as it attempted to punch him and landed on it's shoulders before he grabbed it's head and forced it to the side and expose the circuitry that ran up it's neck. Peter reached inside and seized a handful of wiring before he sent a pulse of his Venom Blast through it and caused the machine to begin emitting a high pitched whirring sound as it's eyes began to rapidly flash and smoke.

"Fire in the hole" Peter said as he kicked off the machine and sent it stumbling into another before it was knocked aside.

Peter landed in a roll before he handsprung off the ground and on to the wall to avoid another energy attack. So far he's been able to destroy several of the machines, but more keep appearing and prolonging the fight. They've moved towards one of the halls that adjourned the office where it began, but it was narrow and limited Peter's maneuverability.

'Need to get somewhere with more room to move or-' Peter began before suddenly another one of the machines appeared in front of Peter, it's chest glowing white hot.

"Well... shit" Peter said before he was suddenly engulfed in a blinding white light.

The force of the explosion completely obliterated the entire hall, and several of the offices around it. Peter felt himself briefly fly through the air before he felt his back slam into a wall... than another... and another. His suit absorbed the impact easily enough, and the heat and force of the machine's self destruct barely even fazed him, it was just the intensity of the light that hurt and even than that was more of an annoying stinging than anything else.

'Hmm solar cells made to mimic a white dwarf star... interesting. Not very efficient for long term use but still a step above most solar cells' Peter thought as he went through a final wall and suddenly found himself falling into the city below 'Least I'm out of that tower... oh and look at that it's already morning'

It was probably time for him to head back up to the Watchtower before the League decided to come down and find him. And Carol was likely still moody after what happened...

"Maybe I should wait a little longer" Peter snorted as he shot a arm out and fired off a web line and used his built up momentum to power his wing and soared through the air before releasing the line and landing on the edge of a building that was a few buildings away from Oscorp tower.

He glanced back at the structure to see one of the machines he was fighting standing at the hole his body made from the explosion. Peter smirked at the robotic sentry and offered a crude hand gesture that humans used as a way of parting insult. The machine stared at him for a moment before it stepped back into the building and a blast door suddenly appeared to cover the hole. Peter hummed at this and glanced down at the tower's base to see several police cars had already arrived to investigate the disturbance that Oscorp reported.

"Well, guess that's my cue to leave. Where there's police, the League won't be far behind" Peter said with a sigh before he suddenly reached out and grabbed a shuriken like projectile that would've found itself buried in his shoulder had he not sensed it.

Granted there's a chance that it would've just bounced off his armor, but considering it triggered his sixth sense, he wasn't going to take any chances.

"What in the name of the Source are you?" Peter said as he examined the shuriken device with curiosity.

It seemed to be in the shape of a bat... and was beeping-

"WHOA!" Peter said as he suddenly threw the bomb as far as he could before it detonated.

Sadly, he only managed to get it eight feet away before it exploded, ingulfing the New God in a storm of fire. Some of the flames burned the thinner parts of Peter's suit with a few wisps making their way into the seams between the plating before the suit's countermeasures kicked in and quelled the fire. With a shake of his head, Peter scanned his surroundings for signs of his attacker.

'Bat shaped bombs... hmm, wonder if it's that Batman character I saw the other day' Peter thought with a scowl of annoyance as he searched for the infamous Dark Knight 'He better have a damn good reason for attacking me'

It was than that several shapes suddenly landed on the rooftop, drawing Peter's attention from the more shadowed corners of the building.

"Who the hell are you people supposed to be?" Peter asked with a frown as he stared at what appeared to be... teenagers.

There was six of them, four males and two females, one of whom was clearly a Tamaranean while the other possessed pale skin and dressed in a dark blue hooded cloak of sorts and had the feel of magic, demonic magic, around her. As for the males, one seemed dressed in a reverse color pallet of the Flash but possessed a darker skin pigmentation while another was dressed in a odd white and red body suit with green skin. The last two males of the group were the most 'normal' looking of the bunch in that one was dark skinned and dressed in something similar to what Peter saw Aquaman wear while the other was in dark red, yellow and green colors with a mask over his eyes, a stylized 'R' on his chest and a cape.

"We're the new and improved Teen Titans" the green skinned human said with a smirk as he pointed towards Peter rather dramatically "And we're gonna give you a tutorial in ass kicking"

The New God blinked at the oddly colored human for a moment before he responded "Riiiight..."

"Beast Boy, shut up" the dark youth with the stylized 'R' on his chest said with a scoff which in turn caused the green skinned teen to scowl at him.

Peter stared at the group for a moment with a blank expression on his face before he turned on his heel and began to walk away "I don't got time for this"

"Hey, where ya going!?" the now identified Beat Boy said with confusion at Peter's departure.

"Back to the Watchtower to sleep" Peter said with a dismissive wave over his shoulder "You should head home too kids, it's late. Get back to me tomorrow or something"

"Your not going anywhere Apokoliptian" the 'leader' of the Teen Titans said with a scowl aimed at the New God "What were you doing in Oscorp?"

Peter didn't bother with a response as he reached into his subspace and retrieved his Asgardian cube to open a portal up when suddenly a yellow blur raced by him and snatched the cube clean out of his hands. Peter froze as he stared down at his now empty hand with wide eyes while the yellow blur appeared next to the Tamaranean woman and stared at the glowing cube with curiosity.

"What's this Starfire?" the teen asked the alien beauty.

"I'm not sure Kid Flash..." Starfire said with confusion as she stared into the depths of swirling energy within the cube.

"It's powerful, I can tell that much" the demonic energy wielding girl said as she neared the cube and reached out towards it before suddenly she turned and summoned a wall of dark energy to block a Venom Blast from Peter.

"Give me back my cube" Peter snarled at the teens with a glare under his mask.

"Uhhh, how about no?" Kid Flash said as he stepped back and held the cube behind his back slightly "Not unless you say the magic word"

"I'll kill every last one of you if you don't give me that cube back" Peter growled as his hands began to crackle with bioelectricity while the teens slid into various defensive stances.

"Uh Robin, I think we should give him back his glowie cube thing" Beast Boy said nervously as he stared at the New God with growing dread.

"Not gonna happen" Robin said as he drew a sword from his back with one hand while the other held several batarangs in-between his fingers.

"Fine... just remember, I offered you a way out" Peter said as he suddenly fired off several Venom blasts at the Teenagers.

The Titans quickly scattered to avoid the red and black colored biolightning with Raven and Starfire taking to the skies while Robin, Beast Boy, and the Atlantean rushed towards Peter. Kid Flash remained where he was, clutching the Asgardian cube in his hands as he watched his teammates engage Peter. The first to reach him was Robin who threw the batarangs in his hands towards the wall crawler's head, forcing him to sidestep the lethal shuriken while his sword was poised to impale his leg. Aqualad, forming two mace like weapons with his waterbearers, attempted to strike him in the chest while Beast Boy morphed into a large snake and quickly slithered under the New Nod and quickly came up behind him and prepared to strike him in the back.

Peter's eyes narrowed as he felt the flare at the base of his skull as he watched in almost slow motion as he was surrounded and abut to be hit by the three Titans. Waiting until the last possible moment, Peter summoned his spider limbs and used two of them to swat Beast Boy away, another to block Aqualad's water maces and the final to deflect Robin's sword before it could touch his leg. Knocking the three back, Peter raised one of his hands and aimed at Robin's head, intending to incinerate his face with a Venom Blast when his hand was suddenly encased in some sort of black energy, snuffing out his Venom blasts before it was fully charged.

"What the hel-" Peter began before his entire body was encased in the dark energy and lifted into the air before being sent flying into the air towards a hovering Starfire.

The former Tamaranean took aim at Peter and unleashed a powerful beam of her starbolts right into the New God's chest, sending him flying back towards the roof at mind numbing speeds.

"I thought this guy was supposed to be tough?" Beast Boy said as he hopped on to Robin's shoulder in the shape of a small monkey "Didn't Raven say he took on a Demon the other day and won?"

"It seems his abilities were overexaggerated or the demon wasn't as powerful as she claimed it to be" Robin said as he stared at the downed New God with narrowed eyes.

"Maybe this is how he was able to beat him?" Kid Flash said as he suddenly appeared next to the boy wonder, the blue cube glowing softly in his hands "This thing's weird..."

"It's a glowing alien cube, what'd you expect?" Beast Boy snorted as he poked the cube with a little finger before he yelped as a brief jolt was sent through him "WHOA! The hell was that?!"

"Hmm..." Robin hummed as he pulled out a small device and began to scan the cube while Starefire and Raven hovered over Peter's body while Aqualad formed two water swords and held them at the ready in case the New God tried to move.

"Any idea what this is?" Kid Flash said as he stared at the swirling energy within the cube "Cause there's something weirdly... familiar about it"

"What do you mean?" Robin glanced at the yellow cladded teen.

"Like, when I was running with it, I felt-" Kid Flash began before a pained shout drew their attention back to their teammates.

Th scream of pain was from Raven as she was blasted away by a Venom Blast as Peter climbed back to his feet. Starfire attempted to hit him with a starbolt empowered punch by Peter quickly ducked under the swipe and sent a Venom Blast encased fist right into Starfire's chin, cracking it and sending the alien beauty flying into the air. Aqaualad rushed towards Peter with his swords poised to strike him in the chest before the New God turned towards him and shot a glob of webbing into his eyes, blinding him before he shot another glob of web at his feet, causing the teen to lurch and fall face first into the ground.

"Huh, what do you know? That actually worked' Peter said as he stared at the downed Atlantean before he turned his attention towards Robin and Beast boy rushing towards him.

The latter had turned into a bear while the former had his sword out and ready. Peter narrowed his eyes at the approaching Teens and was just about to blast them both with a Venom blast before he moved on to Kid Flash when suddenly a black blur raced past Peter and knocked the two Teens away with a yellow blast of energy before rushing towards Kid flash.

"Wha-" the young Speedster stumbled back and attempted to sidestep the unknown figure before suddenly a powerful beam of energy fired from the newcomer's hands and struck the teen right in the leg... and completely served it from the knee down.

"AAAAHHHHHHHH!" Kid Flash screamed in pain as he dropped the cube and clutched his leg's bleeding stump.

Peter blinked at this and watched as the figure stepped past the screaming Kid Flash and bent over at the waist, giving him a lovely view of their rear, before slowly standing back up and turning to show they were holding the cube in their hands.

"Good morning my lord" Carol smiled lovingly at Peter as she flew over towards the New God "I believe you drop this..."

"Why thank you my dear" Peter nodded as Carol handed him the Asgardian Cube "What would I do without you?"

"Live a much less interesting life my lord" Carol grinned before it soured as the agonized screams of Kid Flash drew her beloved's attention from her.

"Did you have to cut his leg off?" Peter nodded towards the crying teen as he clutched the half charred stump that was his leg while the severed limb laid a few feet away from him.

Robin and Aqualad were already at his side, the latter using his hydrokinetic abilities to try and stem the blood leaking out of the teen's leg while Robin was quickly fastening a tourniquet to his thigh. Beast Boy was standing nearby with a look of pure panic on his face while Raven stared at the now crippled teen with a look of horror on her face.

"He's lucky I didn't cut his head off" Carol scoffed as she turned her attention away from the Teen Titans "Stealing from you is a death sentence as far as I'm con-"

"YOU BITCH!"

Carol blinked and turned just in time to receive a full blast of starbolts to her chest by an enraged Starfire, her eyes burning like green suns. Peter stepped back and adverted his gaze from the intensity of the light before it began to fade as Carol slowly absorbed the energy into herself. Starfire saw this and gritted her teeth in anger as she ceased her energy attack and instead flew towards the blonde woman, intending to beat her half to death with her own two hands. Carol saw this and grinned darkly as she formed a blade made of Photon energy and held it at the ready, poised to take the Titan's head clean off before Peter suddenly shot a web line at Carol's chest and yanked her out of Starfire's way.

"HEY!" the Fury yelled in surprise and frustration "Why did you-"

"We're leaving" Peter said as he held up the cube, causing it to glow before he and Carol were suddenly engulfed in it's light and teleported away.

Tempting as it was to watch Carol wipe the floor with those teenagers, he was pretty sure it wouldn't sit well with the Justice League for their little helpers to end up dead by Warbird's hands...

Besides, he was likely going to get an earful from Diana once word reached her of Kid Flash's... predicament.

...

And done.
