answers to reviewers questions or statements:

vadrulesall: Maybe but life's a journey, not a destination.

Harbinger of Kaos: We shall see.

Davies96: Diana isn't attracted to power, just because Peter is now roughly around her level doesn't mean she's going to find herself falling for him. She looks beyond superficial things like power, wealth and the like in a partner. After all, a lot of her partners in the past weren't as powerful as her, like Batman or Steve Trevor. Peter's eye beams aren't up to par with Darkseid's in terms of sheer power nor do they possess the same properties, like the Omega Sanction or the ability to bring someone back to life but they have their own unique properties.

Laser Crusader: Let's just say that Peter's little bout of rage, which caused numerous 'innocent' casualties, would be more than enough for Superman to justify beating the ever loving New God out of Peter. This chapter, and the next few, are what will really set the scene in regards to Diana's loyalties to the Justice League, her own ideals, those of the Amazons and those she has of Apokolips and of Peter himself. The truth of the matter is that even if Peter does give Darkseid Earth-3, there's no real guarantee that he'll be spared from his father's wrath, it just might make whatever will be inflicted upon him less painful and the dark truth is... Peter knows it. Man's willing to offer up a whole world just to lessen the pain that's already coming.

Naruto9tail: We'll be finding out what this woman did to invoke such a response from Peter.

Mashot Tito: I have thought of something like that before, but than decided it'd be against Diana's character. Much as she hates her current predicament, she's not about to risk everything to satisfy some carnal desire. Plus she's always struck me as someone that's loyal, if not by love than at least by duty.

spiderspawn616: I won't say Peter's in a berserker form so much as he's just shot up with a fuck ton of rage and adrenaline and he's sorta developed tunnel vision. Like he's still aware of things around himself and in control of his actions, but right now he's focused solely on getting that woman. Diana is aware that Peter didn't have the sort of childhood she did, being raised on Apokolips is a absolute certainty of never ending pain, but she will get a glimpse at another aspect of his life before they met, outside of what she generally knows.

ssahu72731: Peter and Superman will come to blows before this ends.

Badger12: An ass will be kicked this chapter.

Guest: No Peter knew that being smart would never be enough, it's just he's never felt a legitimate reason to hone his skills and instead has come to rely on either his own loyal Furies, constructs such as Vision and Ultron or even Kalibak to protect him. And despite the cut throat nature that is Peter and his siblings relationship, outright murder of one another is rare and far in-between. However, this isn't efficient, it's largely why Kalibak is training Peter, because he knows that he won't be around all the time to protect his younger brother, especially now that he's lost quite a bit of standing in Darkseid's court now that he's no longer the heir like Grayven is. I don't see Diana joining Clark for two reasons, one she was there when Peter lashed out, she saw the building up and the apparent cause for it, so if anything she's going to try and end the fight before either can harm each other and reach some sort of compromise, her nature as a diplomat coming into play. And the second, it could very well violate the agreement Darkseid has with Earth which in turn... bye-bye children's souls. You also need to remember that Diana has only known Peter for a year or so, where's the others have had several or even decades if not centuries to know Peter personally. She's trying, we've seen that, but the universe does so love to throw a curve ball into the mix.

superpierce: We shall see.

Pathfinder097: We shall see very soon why it's Peter that was chosen.

thechikenking69: Diana hasn't been pushing Peter around, she's keeping him from doing whatever he wants or causing unnecessary death and destruction, which we've seen him cause when he's on his own. And the only person that has tried to walk all over him is Grayven, everyone else either avoids Peter or simply hate him for being from Apokolips, big difference.

Jerrydamaster: Diana wasn't trying to kill him, the heck you get that? She does that and everything would fall apart as Darkseid would than follow through with his part of the deal and Diana would have a number of angry Furies and former in-laws coming to pay her and her family a visit. Diana is only willing to end him if he leaves her no other choice, which is why she's been trying to get to know him, communicate with him and even outright bargain with him, if she wanted him gone she wouldn't have bothered in the first place and just taken his head right then and there.

In hindsight, Peter probably, maybe shouldn't have let his rage overtake his reasoning and lead him into his current predicament.

First and for most he more or less just blew this entire operation that Luthor and the Justice League were trying to perform in an effort to gain access to information that could help them defeat the Crime Syndicate. Granted he could truly care less, but now he's going to have to put up with all of them whining about it on top of his wife giving him crap for incinerating a bunch of useless humans being used as literal meat shields. Than there's the fact he's now being flown through several walls of several different buildings and thrown out into the dirty streets that was this universe's Gotham City by who he could only assume was Superman.

Under normal circumstances Peter would at best be annoyed by the Kryptonian's interference, but tonight a part of him was welcoming it. At the very least he now has an excuse to finally put the thorn in his father's side the insufferable bastard as become in his proper place.

And as a bonus, no one was there to help him.

'For now at least' Peter thought as he climbed out of the crater his body made when it was thrown into the street and ripped off what was left of his suit's jacket and glanced up towards the being that threw him there.

Instead of seeing some stylized 'S' on the man's chest, Peter was met with a similarly styled looking 'U'. And now that Peter was actually looking at the man and took in his entire appearance, he saw that his suit was a bit different compared to the one he's seen Diana's Kryptonian running around in. The blue for the suit seemed a bit darker and the red and yellow colors seemed duller than the ones Kal-El had on his suit.

'Ahh great... it's his 'evil' twin' Peter thought with a snarl as he stared into the cold eyes of Ultraman, the Boss of Bosses and leader of the Crime Syndicate.

Under less hostile circumstances Peter might've actually been interested in meeting the man, he had to be more interesting than his bore of a counterpart. Unfortunately this man was more less standing between Peter and his target, thus Peter's patience for the alternate universe Kryptonian was already gone.

"So your one of the new guys that thinks he can just waltz right in and uproot us huh?" Ultraman said as he slowly floated towards the ground "Luthor give you some 'rah, rah, rah' speech to get you all going? Or are you are just a bunch of dumbasses?"

"Actually the man bought me a drink while it was my wife he sweet talked into this fool venture" Peter quipped as he reached up to his dislocated shoulder and with a grunt, pushed it back into it's socket "Afterwards, she used her talented tongue on me to convince me to help him"

"Lex was always classy with the ladies' like that" Ultraman said as his feet touched the ground, small cracks appearing beneath them.

"With that bald head, he's gotta be" Peter said as he considered his options while mentally calling for his actual suit.

Ultraman, unlike his alternate do-gooder, wasn't weakened by Kryptonite and in fact actually drew power from it, so already several ways that Peter could deal with him were off the table. Sunlight could be of use, but the New God doubted this fight would last long enough until daylight and Peter had no idea how other forms of solar radiation would affect this man. For all Peter knew, blasting him with Red Sun energy could make him even stronger or give him some previously unknown ability.

'Guess that just leaves magic... or Diana's damn pet' Peter thought with a scowl as he felt the pain in his new 'eyes' begin to increase as dark red energy began to slowly bleed out from them, mixing with the blood already on his face and causing the crimson liquid to seemingly burn and boil.

Ultraman saw this and allowed a dark grin to appear on his face as his own eyes began to glow an ominous red as he built up the energy behind his irises. Peter raised his arm and fired off several Venom Blasts towards the hovering man, the pitch black and bloodied red bolts of bioelectricity seemingly tearing through the very fabric of reality as they raced towards Ultraman. The faux Kryptonian narrowed his eyes as he quickly flew around, under and above the bolts of lighting and raced towards Peter as he built up another barrage of energy in his extra eyes to shoot. Peter waited until Ultraman was just reaching out to grab him when he unleashed six beams of hell-ish red and orange colored energy right into Ultraman's face.

The Boss of Bosses let out a surprised scream of pain as the energy began to actually eat into his skin and sent him flying back across the street and into a car. The resulting force of the impact caused the vehicle to explode in a shower of metal and fire that shook the entire street and caused Peter to smirk in grim amusement.

"Ultra my ass" Peter said as he looked down at his hands and saw his veins were now glowing with the same color as the energy leaking from his eyes.

So far, this new growing pain of his was really turning out to be a blessing-

Suddenly Ultraman flew out from the fiery wreckage at speeds that shook the entire street and buildings adjacent to it and slammed into Peter, the force of which knocked the wind clean out of him. Peter felt himself fly through the air before he began to skip across the ground, leaving deep tears in the asphalt before he began to collide with vehicles, be they parked or simply driving on the roads at the wrong time. The New God growled as he was sent through a bus, it's occupants screaming in terror as the bus swerved and slammed into several parked cars while Peter himself had been sent clean through it and into the side of a building on the far end of the street.

"Okay ow..." Peter groaned as he tore himself free of the small impression his body made in the wall and brushed a few bits of concrete off his now exposed shoulders, what was left of his suit had all but been torn away, leaving him exposed to the world.

Thankfully, his suit had finally arrived in the form of a meter long hovering ovoid.

"Oh, there you are" Peter said as he approached the hovering suit and extended an arm out for it to take and use it to start covering his body.

As his armor began to make it's way around his body and take shape, Peter sent a mental command for four new lenses to form over his new 'eyes' and modify themselves to allow his new optical beams to fire through them. Peter note to properly go through his body's new changes when he found the time, and see what modifications he's going to have to make to his suit to accommodate them.

"Aw look at that, getting dressed in your Sunday best?" Ultraman said mockingly as he shot out from the burning wreckage and hovered over Peter, looking down at him with a condescending look.

"It's called armor, perhaps you've heard of it" Peter said as he cracked his neck as his suit covered the last parts of his body and quickly solidified into the exoskeletal look he's set it to since his failed incursion into OsCorp "It's something you wear to keep yourself from being hurt. Revolutionary if you ask me"

"Pathetic is more like it" Ultraman scoffed as he floated over Peter, looking down at him as if he were some kind of ant "When your as powerful as me, you don't need that trash. Ain't no weapon or man on Earth that can hut me"

"Oh I promise you'll be singing a different tune before this is over" Peter growled before he unleashed a beam of his Venom Blast towards the malevolent Kryptonian.

Ultraman responded by meeting the approaching beam o energy with his Ultravision and fired off two thin beams of energy from his eyes. The two met in a small implosion that caused both combatants teeth to shake in their jaws before Ultraman blitzed towards Peter, intending to end the fight with a single powerful punch to his head. All six of Peter's eyes narrowed as he felt a tingling at the base of his skull and stepped back and bent his torso to the left to avoid the strike. Ultraman's eyes widened at the speed of which Peyer dodged before he snarled and sent another towards the New God. Peter dodged this one as well before he sent a punch of his own towards Ultraman's face. Honestly Peter wasn't expecting the hit to do much to the Kryptonian, at the very least it'll push him back so Peter can get a moment to think...

So imagine his surprise when threw punch not only connected with Ultraman's face and didn't hurt, but actually caused the Kryptonian's head to snap to the side as a moderately powerful shockwave emerged from the blow and shattered all of the windows and glass on the block.

"Whoa?" Peter said as he stared at his fist in surprise before he was struck in the chest by two thin beams from Ultraman's eyes.

"That actually hurt!" Ultraman said with a smirk as he cupped the part of his face that Peter struck, the skin already starting to bruise.

Peter would've offered up a retort if he wasn't busy being blasted into a building and out the other end into a seemingly abandoned street. A stray cat that was hiding under a nearby parked car sprinted out from the undercarriage and towards a small alleyway while Peter busied picking himself up.

'Where is everyone?' Peter thought as he spared a brief glance around the street for any signs of human life.

Gotham was supposed to be one of the most populous cities on Earth, at least that's what he was led to assume. And yet, ever since this fight with Ultraman began, the only humans Peter's seen were the ones in that bus he was sent through earlier.

"Where is everyone?" Peter muttered to himself before he heard a yell from behind him and leaped into the air mere seconds before Ultraman flew right under him.

Peter shot two psi-webs from his wrists and used them to grab hold of Ultraman's body and yank himself towards the Crime syndicate's leader. Ultraman turned to face Peter only to receive a double kick to his chest that caused him to stumble back in pain while Peter used his natural adhesiveness to remain on the larger man's chest with his feet while he gripped the Kryptonian by the hair with one hand while the other he used to begin delivering powerful punches to his bruised face. Ultraman roared in rage as he tried to reach up and tear Peter off him only for the New God to have all four of his spider like limbs to emerge from his back and slash at his hands.

"GET. OFF!" Ultraman yelled before he began to spin around and around until Peter was sent flying from the Crime Syndicate leader.

With a series of flips in the air, Peter landed in a crouch and narrowed all six of his lenses at the Boss of Bosses before reaching up to brush some dirt off his shoulder as his spider limbs regressed back into his back.

"Could've just asked nicely" Peter mocked as Ultraman snarled at him with glowing red eyes.

"I'm gonna rip you in half now" Ultraman threatened "Than I'm going to throw your ass to one side of the universe, and your mouth to the other"

"If your gonna throw my ass to one part of the universe and my mouth to the other, what about the rest of me?" Peter asked as he looked down at his own body "I mean your still gonna be stuck with my arms, legs, torso, most of my head, and my di-"

"AHHHHHHH!" Ultraman flew towards Peter with a yell, his hands outstretched in front of him and the fingers curled like talons.

"Annnd dodge-ACK!" Peter sounded as he tried to sidestep Ultraman only for the Kryptonian to slam into him and wrap his arms around his middle section and begin to crush the life out of the New God.

Peter gritted his teeth as he tried to break free but found Ultraman's grip to be solid. With a snarl, Peter began to punch the Boss of Bosses in the face repeatedly, breaking the man's nose and knocking a tooth loose before the Syndicate leader reared his head back and head butted peter's fist, breaking several of his knuckles in the process.

"GAHH!" Peter yelped in pain as the armor around his torso begin to crack and pierce his body.

"To think you gave Owlman any trouble" Ultraman smirked as blood leaked from his shattered nose and down his mouth and chin.

Peter snarled as he felt his body was on the verge of snapping in two before he suddenly grabbed Ultraman by the face and forced the alien oppressor rot look him in the eye.

"The hell you doing freak?" Ultraman hissed as he glared at Peter with glowing red eyes.

"Oh nothing special" Peter smirked darkly as all six of his began to glow with the energy of the Omega Effect burning through them "Just seeing what happens when I do this. Let me know what you think hmm?"

With a yell Ultraman unleashed the full power of his heat vision while Peter's eyes unleashed theirs, causing the two opposing forces of energy to meet between the two's faces before igniting in a powerful explosion that engulfed the entire city block in fire.

...

"Where are you?" Diana whispered to herself as she scanned the Gotham City skyline for any signs of Peter or Ultraman.

At first she thought it was Kal that attacked Peter but after receiving a telepathic message from Manhunter warning her and the rest of the League that members of the Crime Syndicate led by Ultraman had arrived, she quickly deduced Peter's opponent and resolved to find him all the sooner. as much as Peter's recent actions enraged and confused her, she wasn't going to let the man, or New God, suffer at the hands of Ultraman when she could do something about it.

She could only hope that the rest of the League could catch up to them after dealing with the Crime syndicate and help her bring down Ultraman. As confident as she was in her power and fighting skills, even she found herself questioning her odds against a being as powerful as Superman with none of the restraint or morality.

"Dammit Peter, where are you-" Diana began before a massive explosion over a mile away caught her attention.

Even hundreds of feet in the air she could feel the power in it and quickly rushed over to investigate, the grip on her ax tightening until nothing in all of creation would be able to pry it from her hands.

...

"Okay... that... I should've thought that through more... ow... my everything..." Peter groaned out with a pained cough as he laid in a pile of ash and molten rock.

All around him, fires were burning and heaps of partially melted vehicles, lamps posts and stands littered what was once a busy intersection. even the buildings didn't escape unscathed, most of the glass facing the street had been vaporized and the interior of the structures were now burning or burnt to utter ash.

Even Peter's suit was showing signs of extreme damage, the entire upper chest and face portion of the armor had been melted away from the blast and Peter's skin was charred from the intensity of the heat. A few cuts he had on his face were leaking a mixture of blood and the ominous energy that his eyes have been firing all night, causing him to briefly appear like the spitting image of Darkseid himself. With a groan, Peter forced two spider limbs to emerge from his back and slowly push him back up to his feet and help steady himself less he fall over.

"Y-You... b-b-bastard!" Ultraman moaned as he slowly pushed himself to his knees and glared off in the general direction Peter was.

He would've been glaring right at the New God, but his eyes had been burnt away from the blast, leaving charred and rotted flesh where his eyeballs once laid.

"And that's... why you wear... something over your eyes... not so pathetic now... is it?" Peter panted as he watched Ultraman fall on to his side and curl up on himself, holding his hands over his smoking eye sockets.

A part of Peter has always been curious on what would happen if you were to blast a person's optical beams with another variant of optical energy at point blank range. Apparently the result, in this case, was the eyes would more or less implode and scorch the interior of the eye sockets, leaving charred flesh. Peter's barely escaped damage thanks to the armor over them where's Ultraman's... well Peter was pretty sure that man was gonna be applying Kryptonite on them for the next few weeks.

'I wonder how Diana's pet would take this...' Peter thought with a snort as he turned away from the wounded Kryptonian and scanned the area for signs of Fe-

"PETER!"

'Oh joy, the mood killer is here too' Peter thought dryly before he was suddenly tackled to the ground and found himself on his back with the edge of Jarnbjorn's crackling blade mere inches from his throat.

Peter attempted to move, mainly to put a bit of space between his very exposed and vulnerable throat and the mystically forged metal of Diana's ax before she slammed her foot down on his burnt chest, keeping him momentarily pinned and causing a few tears in his flesh that were still healing to reopen and began bleeding again. Though the dark snarl carved into her face would've done that well enough to keep Peter in place, he could honestly say he's never seen his wife as enraged as she seemed right now.

"I take it... your upset about shooting in the chest... earlier..." Peter said after a moment of tense silence between the two "Want me to kiss it... and make it all be- OWWWW!"

Peter's yelp of pain was a result of Diana pressing her foot down on Peter's chest until a already cracked rib began to break while Jarnbjorn's super conducting metal briefly touched the surface of his armored neck, leaving a sliver of cherry red metal that caused the flesh underneath it to burn.

"You have exactly TEN words to explain to me what you just did back there or I swear to the Source, Zeus, and your Father himself that I'll sever your head from your body!" Diana growled at her husband.

"I love it... when you talk dirty... honey" Peter quipped.

"That's eight, two more" Diana snarled as she removed her foot from his chest but kept her ax's blade close to his neck, ready to cut through in a instant "I'm no longer joking Peter"

'I can see that' Peter thought as he felt his head vibrating from the intensity of the danger he was in.

If he didn't word this right, he very well might end up losing his head, a outcome he'd like to avoid if possible. He could tell her the reasoning behind his actions in regards to that traitorous bitch, but even Warbird and Faora didn't know the full story of what transpired. The only ones who did were Psylocke and Bekka they'll be taking that knowledge to the grave with them if they and Peter had anything to say about it.

"Well?" Diana demanded after several seconds of tense silence between the pair.

'Oh I'm gonna regret this so much, I just know it' Peter thought with a heavy sigh before he nodded "She lied"

Diana's brow furrowed at this "What- AHHHH!"

Diana's question was cut off as Peter suddenly blasted her away with a optical blast from his eyes and quickly scrambled to his feet once the Amazon's ax was away from his head. Barely a heartbeat passed before Diana was on him again, intending to cleave an arm off with her ax, it's blade crackling with lighting. Peter leaped back and shot several psi-webs at the enraged Amazon, forcing her to use her ax to cut through the glowing webs while Peter tried to think of a way to evade Diana and resume his hunt. He was in no condition for a drawn out fight with Diana, not in his state and even when she seemed to be just as roughed up as he was.

And he couldn't well hurt her like he did Ultraman, that wouldn't go over very well with her little group of friends or sister.

With a hiss of annoyance Peter built up a small but potent amount of his Venom Blast in his hands and waited for Diana to get closer. When the Amazon made to cleave a arm off, this time at the shoulder instead of the elbow, Peter ducked low and grabbed one of Diana's legs at the knee. Diana stumbled into Peter and prepared to bring the handle of her ax down on him when he sent as powerful a shock into Diana's leg and through her body, causing her to let out a pained scream as the flesh Peter's hands were touching began to burn away.

Peter's eyes widened in shock, that was not what he was going for and quickly released his wife's leg, but not before he violently dislocated it and gave her a kick to the stomach that caused her to double over before a elbow between her shoulder blades forced her into the ground with a 'thud'.

"Shiiit" Peter whispered as he looked down at his wife with wide eyes before kneeling down next to her and turning her over, being mindful to avoid being touched by her ax.

Her body was shaking slightly as arcs of his Venom Blast wormed their way through her nervous system, rendering her crippled for the time being. But it was her leg that really drew Peter's attention. The center of her wound looked... rotted for the lack of a better term, decaying while the outer edges looked burn.

'Since when can I cause necrosis with my Venom Blasts?' Peter thought as he briefly eyed his hands with confusion.

It appears his growing pains affected more than his strength and gifted him with a few extra eyes and manipulation of the Omega Effect.

"Sorry about the leg... that wasn't... that wasn't what I was going for" Peter said quietly as he kneeled down and gently cupped Diana's face despite the very real anger he was feeling about all of this.

He was still enraged at the sight of Felicia after all these years, but now he was angry at himself for causing such damage to his wife when it wasn't his original intent. He simply wanted to short out her nervous system and render her immobile for a time, not have the flesh of her leg seemingly eaten away by his Venom Blasts.

Diana's response was a silent glare that was made all the more menacing with the way half her face was covered in shadow and the other was basked in the red and orange flames of the buildings around them. Seeing he had little time before one of the Justice League arrives and sees what he's done and comes after him with a vengeance, he leaned down and planted a small kiss on the shadowed side of her face and another where her leg was injured before standing back up and giving the area a brief scan with his suit's lenses.

"When I'm done with Felicia, I'll take a better look at your leg" Peter said as his suit detected the unique energy signature the wretched Fury's Probability powers gave off a few miles away, moving fast from his location.

Without another word Peter broke off into a sprint that very nearly broke him right than and there as his legs screamed in pain from the exertion he was making them do. Doing his best to bite his tongue down and kept his mind focused on something else, Peter leaped into the air and shot a web line out and used it to swing towards the escaping New Goddess. Diana let out a silent growl as she waited for feeling to finally return to her body, her arms and legs specifically before she slowly sat up and reached down to her knee, being mindful to avoid touching the parts of her leg that looked to be suffering some form of necrosis and with a brief intake of air, pushed it back into place with a 'crack'.

"AGH, GODSDAMMIT SONUVA BITCH!" Diana hissed in pain as she sat their and waited for the pain to fade to a tolerable level before climbing back to her feet.

Her dress was all but gone at this point, leaving everything short of her nether regions exposed, and the parts that were had cuts, burns and bruises covering them. Than there was the unsightly wound on her leg, Diana made it a point to have Hal use his ring to scan it to make sure there wasn't something worse happening to it aside from whatever Peter's Venom Blasts did to it.

'How in Hades name did he accomplish this?' Diana thought as she stared at her leg in worry, far as she knew Peter's Venom Blasts didn't eat away flesh like this.

And then there was the state of this street, the surrounding buildings and Ultraman himself. While Peter was powerful in his own right, this was a level of power she's never seen before.

"DIANA!" Clark voice's echoed through the war torn street, causing the Amazon to look up towards the sky in time to see the red and blue blur of Superman racing towards her with obvious concern on is face.

"Kal..." Diana nodded tiredly towards her former fiancé as he landed before her and moved to engulf her in a comforting hug before he saw the severity of her injuries'.

"W-What happened?" he asked with horror.

Diana didn't answer at first as she looked around to see if any of the other members of the League or Luthor had arrived, or Gods forbid, one of the Crime Syndicate. But aside from herself, Kal and the disturbingly still form of Ultraman, there was no one else around.

"Diana, what happened?" Clark said as he reached out to take Diana's hand before she waved it away.

"Just an unexpected complication is all. Nothing to worry about, I'll be fine in a minute or two" Diana said as her grip on Jarnbjorn's handle tightened.

The feeling of the ancient God forged ax's energy filtering into her limbs felt unbelievingly refreshing, and already the tiredness she felt in her very being was being eroded away. And even the wound on her leg was beginning to heal, slowly but far faster than if she left it to her own natural healing factor.

Clark frowned at this before his gaze began to flicker around, switching through his various forms of vision "Where's your 'husband'?"

"Not too far I think, though I could be wrong" Diana said in a dry tired as she stepped past Clark and began to make her way towards Ultraman and secure him before he recovered from his fight with Peter.

She didn't get far before she felt Clark gently grab her arm and stop her while he used his free hand to gesture towards her current state "Did HE do this to you?"

Diana stopped and slowly turned back to look at Clark with a blank expression on her face "Did who do this to me?"

"Him" Clark snarled with his eyes glowing red in anger "That bastard Peter! Did he do this to you?"

"No" Diana responded before her brain even registered what she said "He's tracking down the one that's responsible for my current state. He was in a rather foul mood because of it"

There was no going back now, she realized as Clark watched her closely as she removed his hand from her arm and resumed her trek towards Ultraman.

Gaia, the Source and whatever higher power that be help Peter when she saw him again.

...

Felicia had made if farther than Peter thought possible in the time it took him to catch up to her.

Despite only being a ten minutes since he saw her at Wayne's Plaza party thing, and five minutes since his fight with Ultraman, they were already on the very outskirts of the city. She'd long since discarded the overly designed dress and heels in favor of her undergarments, allowing her greater flexibility and movement through the city as she raced to stay ahead of Peter. A part of him, a very small part, still couldn't help but eye her in lust as he landed on the ledge of a four story building as she approached a pool of shadows by a run down looking train station.

Even after all these years, the New Goddess of Luck still managed to take the New God of Spider's breath away.

"If only that was the only thing she took away from me" Peter growled as he saw Felicia pause for a brief moment, as if sensing his gaze on her or perhaps heard his less than discreet landing on the rooftop and slowly turned to look over her shoulder at him.

Emerald green eyes filled with terror met fiery red rage before the white haired New Goddess was engulfed in shadows and vanished. Peter frowned at this before he let out a slow exhale through his nostrils and the light in his eyes began to fade. The four newly grown eyes on his head began to slowly close before the 'eye sockets' began to heal, leaving only thin bleeding slits before those too healed and left only small trails of crimson as any evidence they were ever there to begin with.

One hundred years... one hundred years he's been looking forward to seeing that treacherous bitch again, to get his hands on her and rip her apart in ways that'd leave the likes of DeSsad green with envy. But now, because of his damned wife and Ultraman getting in the way, she escaped. With a growl Peter slammed his fist into the surface of the roof he was on, creating a network of cracks in it's once smooth surface and causing the entire building to shake from the intensity of the strike.

Abso-fucking-lutely perfect.

...

And done.
