I feel this chapter is a little.. all over the place? But I still like it, I want the next chapter to be a little more upbeat, so I'll be working on that. But after that, I want to update my other stories. I just really enjoy this one and it gets me inspired for my other ones.

Kurt found himself healing quickly, he was glad for David bringing his homework each day, it gave him something to do. He recovered emotionally a lot quicker than he thought. He was ready to put it behind him and focus on his friends and school.

It's been over a week and his mouth has healed well, and he was ready to kiss Blaine properly again, and he could not wait.

There was still reddening on his face, and some bruising on his back, but it's almost unnoticeable if he uses a little cover up. Kurt was a little nervous returning to class, but at the same time, relieved to be getting back into a schedule. He couldn't hide away in this room forever. Kurt wasn't going to allow Karofsky to affect his entire life. He needed to move on.

Kurt smiled when he got a knock on the door, and relieved that it no longer hurt to do so. He quickly grabbed his bag and opened his door to find all five of his friends waiting on him. Kurt greeted them a grateful smile, "You guys, I'm not that fragile, I can make it to breakfast without an entire escort service." Kurt chuckled and took Blaine's hand in his as they walked to breakfast.

"We know, Kurt. Trust me, none of us see you as fragile," Nick offered, Wes nodded in agreement.

Jeff was still very concerned, he had Blaine in his room the entire night scouring the internet trying to figure out who this guy was, Nick refused to betray Kurt's confidence, at least for now. "I do have concerns," he says as they make their way to the cafeteria. He continues after Kurt hums in attention. "Aren't you worried he'll look for you?"

Kurt shrugged, smirking to hide the quiet dread he's feeling, "I guess if he finds enough brain cells to rub together that he can actually read street signs."

The boys did laugh, but not the genuine laugh Kurt was going for, it was tense and unsure. He sighs and squeezes Blaine's hand, "I don't know, I really don't think he's coming here. Either way, can we please talk about something else?" Kurt looks at Jeff tiredly.

Jeff smiles sweetly, "Of course, Kurt. I'm sorry."

Kurt shrugged and started talking about finally being able to go to Warblers and be a part of Sectionals. He side-eyed his boyfriend, who's barely said a word. Kurt who's still insecure over that dreaded kiss and how it affected Blaine, gave his hand a tug. Blaine looked up and Kurt frowned at the exhaustion in his eyes, his boy hadn't slept in maybe days.

Blaine just smiled and made his way to the coffee, it's not as good as the Lima Bean coffee, but it would have to do. Breakfast was a quiet affair, Wes was mostly talking to David about Warblers, so he wasn't up for his usual antics.

Kurt settled for hooking his foot around Blaine's and smirking at the heat running up the other boy's face. In the silence, Kurt remembered some plans he had made with Jeff before. He was feeling better now, and maybe a fun trip to the mall was exactly what he needed. Plus, he could do some digging around on this situation with Jeff and Nick. "Jeff, I believe we made some plans before. The mall?"

Jeff's face brightened; he had forgotten all about that. "Kurt! I can't believe I forgot."

Kurt shrugged, "Who cares, let's do it. I haven't been shopping since I've been a student here. What's a good day for you?"

Blaine perked up as they started making plans, this would be great for Kurt, and he would trust Jeff with his life. Their fight club typically met on Thursdays and had been trying to figure out a way to go without Kurt looking for him. Now that they were boyfriends, he and Kurt were almost inseparable. Obviously, he wouldn't have it any other way, but he definitely needed to let out some anger.

Jeff seemed thoughtful, and maybe a little conflicted, knowing he would be potentially furthering the lies for Blaine's fight club. He wanted to tell Kurt so bad, but he also didn't want to cause a fight between them. Jeff sighed as he pretended to pull his schedule out and think about it, all the other boys watching curiously. "I guess… Thursday afternoon would work for me?" He avoided looking at anyone else besides Kurt. Nick seems to have mostly checked out of this particular argument; Blaine dead set on keeping this a secret. David and Wes, very much at odds. David dropped his fork down in disappointment, shaking his head silently. Wes glaring at him, trying to get his attention.

Kurt seemed unaware, more excited about shopping than anything. Jeff was questioning how much Kurt really bought it, surely, he felt all this tension. He was smart, too smart. He's been saying this every day since it's come up, Kurt will figure this out. And when he does, there will be hell to pay.

They could even lose him as a friend, this wasn't a small lie. This was something illegal his own boyfriend was doing, that was also dangerous. They were all lying and covering this up, and the longer it was a lie, the more hurt Kurt would be when he finds it out.

Boys are so weird, Kurt thought as he walked to class. He didn't know what was normal with guys. Before Dalton, he mostly hung out with girls. Boys are so angsty and thoughtful about the smallest things, it's a damn mall trip. Unless there's something about Thursdays that have the boys tripped up. Everything was fine until Jeff said Thursday, and suddenly everyone's exchanging looks. Kurt had just nodded excitedly, but he felt he wasn't a part of the conversation, the silent one that is.

Maybe he was reading too much into this, everyone was grouchy before that too. Again, boys were weird, and confusing. Kurt chose to let it be, they didn't have to tell him everything.

Mrs. Harding's class was both boring and fantastically distracting. Today, she was actually wearing lipstick, Kurt was adamant she had some creepy pervy crush on his boyfriend. And the almost fuchsia looking lipstick on her teeth wasn't helping. Kurt stopped dead when he saw her at her desk, thankfully looking down at something. Blaine's hand rested on his back and gently maneuvered Kurt to his seat, and whispered in his ear before sitting down, "Be nice."

Kurt's jaw dropped in disbelief as he sat down, "Blaine, I am nice."

Blaine turned to the side so he could see Kurt fully, smirking at the look on Kurt's face, "I know you are, but something about you and this class.." Blaine laughed as Kurt was glancing at the teacher instead of him. It was going to be one of those days again. He decided to just face the front and allow his boyfriend to do whatever this was. That lipstick really was awful, but Kurt was literally staring, he had to step in.

It was Kurt's first time back in this classroom since the last incident, and the teacher looked uninterested in his return. She, this time did not acknowledge him at all and just turned the lights out before starting the video.

Oddly, even with the light only coming from the video, he could still see it. "It's like it's glow in the dark lipstick," Kurt mutters under his lips. Odd choice for the librarian type.

Blaine just shook his head and refused to look, he would not look.

It was a video about how the government taxes the rich, in otherwards, they don't. He knew all this stuff, he watched his father struggled a few times as a small business owner.

He really wanted to play with Blaine's curls, but he betrayed Kurt and cemented them down with hair gel.

Blaine leaned back to get more comfortable, probably as bored as Kurt is, also extremely tired, Kurt noted. Kurt laid a hand on Blaine's shoulder and gave it a loving squeeze. Blaine sighed and relaxed even more. No longer paying attention to either Ms. Ratchet, or the video, he leaned forward even more and light a light kiss on the side of Blaine's neck. He didn't know why he did it, he just wanted to. It felt nice.

Blaine closed his eyes, Kurt's lips on his neck was more soothing than anything. His boyfriend was so sweet when he wanted to be. Blaine sighed when Kurt leaned back into his seat and the lights turned back on.

Ms. Harding was staring at the back of the class, "Mr. Hummel, remind me what this video was about," Her lips pulled so tight, the skin around her mouth pale white, making the lipstick stick out more.

"Taxes, Ms. Harding," Kurt sounding bored this time.

She puts her hands on her hips, "Oh I see, well it looks to me you were more interested in Mr. Anderson's neck than the video."

Kurt winked at her, "Absolutely.. then again, if you were looking back here, then you were more interested in Blaine's neck than your video as well," laughing at the redness making it's way all the way up to Blaine's ears. He's so precious.

She's had enough of Kurt's attitude, "That's it, after today you will no longer sit near Blaine, I will assign you another seat."

That got to Kurt, he loved this seating arrangement, Blaine just in reaching distance. He felt the Kurt-fit coming, "No, I will sit right here," his tone cold and final.

Blaine looked at him from the corner of his eye and shook his head nervously, he didn't want Kurt getting in real trouble. But really, this angry Kurt thing gave him a little bit of a rush in ways that would not be appropriate in this environment. The way his voice lowered had him crossing his legs and sitting closer to the table, he looked over and saw Trent smirking.

Trent took a liking to Kurt, he brought energy and sass to the school where it was lacking. They needed more personality, Kurt was so much himself that even the teachers were envious. Blaine was a great guy for Kurt, but before him, Blaine never had his own thoughts or even personality, he just did what would please everyone else. Since Kurt, Blaine expresses himself more, speaks up in Warblers practice, makes out with boys in the hallway. Well, a boy. Trent decided to speak up, "Let Kurt be, he's not disrupting anything." It wasn't witty or clever, but he wanted Kurt to know none of us had a problem with their little display of adorableness.

It didn't help. "This is my classroom, and I have been teaching here for over thirty years. Never once have I experienced such insolence." Her face starting to match her lips. "Kurt, Move."

Kurt sighed, not really wanting to make things worse, he got up from his seat and grabbed his books. He looked up from Blaine's sympathetic eyes and saw a satisfied smirk on her face. It made it his blood boil again. He stopped again next his boyfriend.

Blaine saw a familiar glint in his eyes, everyone else watching in anticipation. Kurt turned around and put his books back on his table. Blaine thought he was just going to sit back down. What he didn't expect was Kurt to step back and land right in his lap, sitting with his legs cross into the aisle, he leans back and places his arm around Blaine's shoulders.

Blaine was praying his face wasn't readable as the teacher lost it, Blaine quickly stuffed his face against Kurt's chest to keep his laughter at bay, Kurt was so bad.

"Mr. Hummel, Get off of him, and leave this classroom," She was actually shouting.

"Fine," Kurt said tiredly, he looked over into Blaine's face and winked, gave Blaine a quick hug. He got up gently and retrieved his books.

"I will have you removed from this class, from this school."

Kurt didn't know why this woman was so out to get him, unless his running theory that she had a crush on his boyfriend was correct. Kurt shrugged as her passed her, "Either way, he'll never be yours." He sauntered out as Blaine yelled out his name indignantly.

He waited out in the hallway for Blaine, he knew he was wrong for his behavior. But for some reason, he felt different here, parts of him that he kept hidden at McKinley, were now free. He didn't feel scared to be himself, so he was being a little too much himself. This time he did wrong, he instigated it. But that didn't mean he was sorry.

About ten minutes later, the boys quietly filed out. Some smiling at Kurt, others just trying to get out of sight of the angry teacher. Blaine was one of the last, his face was down so Kurt couldn't see his expression.

Blaine looked up and grinned, shaking his head, he quickly grabbed his boyfriend's hand and rushed him down the hall. "Kurt, why do you wait right here when you get kicked out?!"

Blaine stopped Kurt right outside of the Math room and turned a little serious. As serious as he could get talking to someone so cute. Stood Kurt against the wall and ran a hand down Blaine's arm until he got to his hand, almost effectively distracting Blaine from any scolding, but no Blaine needed Kurt in this school.

Blaine held on to Kurt's hand, his face was very serious, or he tried. "Kurt, you can't keep getting into trouble here." When Kurt rolled his eyes, Blaine shook his head, trying to get through to him, "Okay, it was funny, and I love being in that class with you. I know she's awful, but please don't get kicked out over her. We need you here, I definitely need you here," Blaine scolded Kurt very gently. Would he ever be able to get upset at Kurt? He didn't think so.

Kurt smiled and brought Blaine's hand up to his face and kissed the back of it. "Yes, sir," He used his deeper voice that seemed to get Blaine a little riled up before.

Blaine blushed, know that was going to be the end of being serious, his head dropped. "You noticed," Blaine laughed in defeat. He didn't necessarily feel embarrassed, it was his boyfriend. But still, the heat rose up his neck again.

Kurt chuckled lightly, leaned in towards Blaine's ear and whispered, "I notice everything that has to do with you." Kurt's face suddenly serious, Blaine didn't know quite what to make of it. Kurt gave him a quick kiss on the cheek, he stepped back and led him to the math room.

Blaine's head full of questions, stammering trying to figure out if that was supposed to mean something significant, or if Kurt was just trying to get a rise out of him.

Kurt received a stern talking to from his dad the next morning, he listened and took it all in. He would try harder this week. His teacher was not able to get him removed from either the class or the school, but the headmaster said he must sit elsewhere, much to his dismay.

Really Kurt didn't care, he had plans today that didn't involve any teachers. He was going to get that boyfriend of his alone today to kiss properly. Warblers went long last night, and Blaine was already exhausted, so Kurt gave him a few light kisses and they went to their rooms. Today would be different. This time he greeted Blaine with coffee, good coffee. He looked better today, happier.

Kurt knew there was something amiss, Blaine came in a few weeks ago injured, talking about exercising too much. Stiffens when Kurt hugged him when he returned from that awful game. The guys acting funny towards each other and Kurt. They were hiding something. At first, he was going to let it be, but Blaine's panic yesterday when he thought Kurt may know something, made him start to wonder. Was it really that bad? Once Kurt latches on to something, there's no going back.

That didn't mean he was going to question Blaine today, it depended on how things went. Maybe Jeff would be the quickest to cave. Or David, now that Kurt thought about it, David acted the guiltiest, almost angry at times. No, he wanted to give his boyfriend the opportunity to be honest, then he'd investigate.

After dinner, the two boys walked hand in hand to Kurt's room, he felt Blaine stopping in front of his door. Blaine was such a gentleman, something Kurt very much appreciated. But the two boys had barely had any chance for real alone time with all the craziness. Kurt wasn't ready to do anything more, but he wanted Blaine all to himself for a while.

He tugged Blaine closer, returning his sweet, loving smile. Kurt hummed into the quick, closed mouth kiss, "Hey, don't run off on me. Why don't you come in?"

Blaine wanted to of course, who would want to turn down that invitation, but he was worried about pushing Kurt too far. Also, they have a math test tomorrow, Kurt never seemed to be studying. It was really hard to think with straight with Kurt looking at him like that. "Kurt, we should study," Blaine blushes, but laughs at the incredulous look on his face.

Kurt leaned against his door with his arms crossed, his jaw dropping, "You'd rather solve math problems than kiss your boyfriend?"

Blaine opened his mouth to protest, but Kurt pulled him closer, kissing the corner of his mouth, smirking when Blaine involuntarily moved to try and chase him with a kiss. "Just a few minutes, then we'll study," Kurt's nose crinkling cutely.

Blaine quickly nodded and pushed Kurt gently through the doorway. Nothing actually happened right away, much to his surprise. He imagined shutting the door and Kurt pushing him against it and kissing him deeply, and they would be embracing tightly, their hands exploring each other. That didn't happen, that was the thing with Kurt, you truly never knew what he would do next.

Kurt was relaxed, he was removing those fancy shoes of his and sighing in relief. Blaine ran a hand down his back, softly, not sure if it would still hurt. Kurt turned back around and smiled that real smile that Blaine loved so much.

Next thing he knew, they were kissing. Gentle, relaxed kissing, like they've been doing it for years. Blaine would pull back every few minutes and check on Kurt, always worried about Kurt. He had his arms around Kurt's waist and Kurt had his around Blaine's neck. Every once in a while, he'd run his hands into Blaine's hair, the best he could. Blaine admired Kurt's strength, he didn't seem worried or afraid after what happened.

Kurt pulled back next, sensing Blaine in deep thought, "You okay?"

Blaine got a little trapped in those beautiful eyes for a moment while he gathered his thoughts, "Yeah, just thinking about how strong you are. I don't know what I would be like if that happened to me."

Kurt pulled back a little more in thought before shrugging and running a hand across his hair. "Well, I feel safe here," Kurt stated honestly. "I have moments, you know," he moved to sit in the middle of his bed, motioned for Blaine to join.

Blaine did so, sitting in front of Kurt with his legs crossed in front of him. "Of course."

Kurt smiled and grabbed one of Blaine's hands in his, "This is maybe corny, but you guys are keeping me strong. You've made it safe here for me. It scares me to even consider stepping foot in that school again though."

Blaine shook his head fervently, hell no would his boyfriend go back there. But Kurt was opening up, so he didn't want to interrupt. He waited patiently as Kurt's mind seemed to be going somewhere darker.

"I thought about you that whole time," Kurt's voice cracking with emotion, Blaine's hand squeezing his tightly. "I was so scared, all I could think about was how it wasn't you. It was painful, it felt like my whole body was trying to reject this kiss. I don't know how to explain it.. I just wanted you Blaine," Kurt's voice broke into sobs.

"I know," Blaine scooted across the bed next to Kurt, pulling him into his arms, "I know, Kurt." Blaine held Kurt while he cried. He hadn't been expecting Kurt to get emotional like this, but Kurt held so much in, he was bound to do this eventually. When Blaine called him strong, he didn't mean inhuman. Of course, Kurt was still hurting inside.

Kurt slowly calmed a little and started talking again, his voice rough from crying, his eyes desperate for Blaine to understand. "I tried to push him off, but I couldn't and then I froze. I didn't know what to do."

Blaine didn't say anything else, he just held Kurt and let him cry, his hands running up and down Kurt's back, hoping it was comforting in some way.

This was not what Kurt had in mind when he brought Blaine in here, it was supposed to be kissing and cuddling, whispering cute things to each other. Instead, Blaine says one thing and out comes the waterworks. He only cried a few more moments, he smiled as he felt Blaine's warm, slightly calloused hands wipe the tears off his face. There's so much love his Blaine's eyes, Kurt felt so warm and safe. This has what kept Kurt going.

Kurt cleared his throat as he gained control over his emotions, "So much for strong, huh," he scoffed at himself.

"Kurt," Blaine shakes his head, "I meant what I said, you are incredibly strong." Blaine's face firm, but still loving. "Emotion doesn't make you weak, it makes you human. When I said strong, I mean your ability to cope with a trauma, a real trauma. You've suffered abuse for years, and you still haven't lost yourself, or lost your ability to love and trust people. It's a strength that doesn't need to prove itself, it just is. That's you Kurt"

Kurt's eyes started burning again, his eyebrows rise a bit as he took in Blaine's words. "I hadn't thought about it that way," that was the moment Kurt looked in Blaine's eyes and knew they really had something special. They truly admired each other. "Because I do, I really love you, Blaine."

"I love you too, Kurt. So much," The two boys just held each other, not needing to say anything else.

Then through the comfortable silence, Kurt states, "But, I swear to Gaga, if you don't get your shoes off my bed.."

Blaine laughs out loud, "Okay, way to break the mood." He gets up off the bed anyway and stretches his arms out. He walks back over the bed, smiling back at his smirking boyfriend, also moving to stand up. "I believe I said something about math homework, like an hour ago."

Kurt gives him a mock glare and pulls Blaine into a tight hug, "Now who's killing the mood. Alright, I suppose I'll let you go." He pulls back out of the hug a little to pout a little as he spoke.

Blaine's heart fluttered at that pout, he leaned in and kissed Kurt gently and pulled out of Kurt's embrace, "Kurt, you know neither of us will get anything done if we're alone in here."

"Alright Alright," Kurt kissed Blaine one more time, "Goodnight, I love you."

Blaine hummed into another kiss, "I love you, too." Blaine smiled brightly at Kurt before leaving to his own room to study.
