One cool rainy day in November in Odaiba a five year old Tai Kamiya lay in his bed inside the apartment where he lived with his moth and father. A cold damp washcloth lay crossed his forehead. Tai's mother Yuuko Kamiya walked into the room. She sat down beside her son on the bed and he looked over at her. She removed the cloth and placed her hand to his forehead.

"You still feel warm," said Yuuko.

"Mommy? Am I dying," the child asked.

"No honey. You're not dying," she assured him in a kind tone of voice. "You just have a fever. That's all."

Being the winter time Tai had contracted the flu.

"You're going to be all better in a day or two. Just stay in bed and drink lots of fluids," instructed Yuuko.

"Me no like having a fever," the boy complained.

Yuuko replaced the damp cloth on his forehead.

"Rest now sweetie," she told him standing up. "I'll be back to check on you in a little while."

Yuuko's cellphone that sat in the living room rang and she went and answered it. She placed her phone to her ear and was greeted by her boss. He informed her that he needed he to come into the office today. Yuuko had the day off today but someone wasn't able to show up. So he needed her to come in. Yuuko explained that her son was sick and she couldn't leave but her boss told her that she had to come in or find another job. Yuuko told him she would be right there. She hung up the phone and through for a moment. She dialed the number of a local babysitter. She explained she needed someone to care for her sick son. About thirty minutes later the doorbell rang and Yuuko opened the door. A nineteen year old Sora Takenouchi stood in the doorway. She wore a long yellow rain slicker with matching hat. A pair of black rubber boots were on her feet. She held a yellow umbrella over her head.

"Thank you for coming over on such short notice," Yuuko told her.

Sora stepped inside and closed her umbrella. "Think nothing of it. I'm happy to help."

Sora removed her rain gear to show she wore a yellow cotton T-shirt with black leggings and white sneakers. She deposed her shoes by the door. Yuuko led her to Tai's room where he still lay in his bed. Tai shifted his eyes towards them.

"Miss Sora," the child asked his voice sounding sore and scratchy.

"Hi baby," Sora greeted him. "It's me."

Sora had been Tai's babysitter for the past six months. He always had fun when she played with him. However, today Tai didn't feel like playing.

Yuuko walked over to his bed and informed him that she had to go to work. He groaned weakly. She removed the cloth and planted a kiss on his forehead.

"Mommy loves you and I'll be home before you know it," said Yuuko.

Yuuko replaced the cloth and turned to Sora.

"If you need anything don't hesitate to call me," said Yuuko. "Oh and at noon he'll need to take his cough syrup and have a nap."

"Of course," Sora assured her.

Yuuko exited the apartment and dove to work.

Sora picked up a black folding chair that sat on the left side of the room. She placed it beside the bed and sat down. She held his hand and looked at him gently.

"Hello darling. Your mommy told me you were sick," informed Sora.

Tai groaned. All his muscles ached and he felt hot. His throat felt scratchy. Sora removed the washcloth from his head and carried it to the bathroom sink. She washed the cloth with cold water after which she replaced it on his forehead. She sat on the chair holding his hand. Sora knew not to leave him alone when he wasn't feeling well.

"Would you like to hear a story little one," questioned Sora.
