Teams
Power Poppers: Gabriel, Buford, Jett, Maverick, Sua, Lisa, and Lilith
Sleek Slushies: Axel, Caleb, Garry, Marty, Kylie, Meredith, Tamera, and Hilda
Fried Freaks: Boris, Fenton, Melissa, JJ, and Elsa
"Last time on Total Drama Carnival Calamity," Chris said, narrating the previous episode. "Teams were tasked with sending their best acrobatic players to grab a diamond inside a laser vault. Kylie and JJ prove how skillful they can be, while Jett sat back and tripped the cheerleader to take the diamond for himself, giving the Power Poppers an advantage for the second challenge."
More flashbacks continue as Chris remains talking. "Earlier, JJ wrote a letter to Melissa about teaming up with the Sleek Slushies to beat the Power Poppers. The team-up was successful, but it did not last long during the laser tag challenge. Thanks to Axel, fueled with vengeance, using the laser wave bomb to help his team get the win."
"Lily told Buford about herself working with Chaos X, an organization that wants to take over the world. Buford of course insults the group, resulting in her wanting to take him out of the game."
Lily is shown being eliminated and her giving Sua an explosion ball. "Which backfired on her when she intentionally got Sua soaring out of the ceiling. Resulting in the Power Poppers voting her off."
The flashbacks end. Chris is shown at a cotton candy stand. Chef is making some of that delicious, sweet treat.
"Which team will win in today's bumpy challenge?" Chris asked the audience as Chef puts a stick in the machine, moving it in a circle to get cotton candy. "Find out now on Total… Drama… Carnival Calamity!"
The episode starts with the Power Poppers in the brown tent, sitting at a table and eating gruel. Their symbol appears on the screen as Buford already heads out of the tent. Jett is also nowhere to be seen.
"Well team, looks like we have to bring our A-game today," Gabriel told his team happily.
"We have been giving our A-game," Lisa told the politician. "The other two teams ganged up." She uses a spoon to get some gruel on it and eat it.
Maverick and Lilith gaze for a moment at the Fried Freaks, all of them at the other table eating their breakfast. Then they look back at their three teammates.
"Luckily, it seems like they won't partner up anymore after the chaos that happened at the end of the laser challenge," Maverick said contently.
"It's amazing how we are the team to beat right now," Lilith admitted while smiling.
"It is also meaning the others are going to be coming after us," Gabriel warned. "We need to have our eyes looking everywhere just in case."
"Great point Gabriel!" Sua said. She then eats some of her breakfast. The burning sensation of how hot the gruel is makes her stand immediately. "뜨겁고 뜨겁습니다!" The idol exclaimed in Korean. She runs to get some water, but accidentally trips on the chair she was sitting on in the process. Gabriel and Lilith immediately go and help her out.
"I'll go find Jett," Lisa said with a big smile.
"I'll go look for Buford," Maverick added, standing up at the same time as Lisa. "I have to talk about something to him."
The Fried Freaks watch most of the Power Poppers leave the tent while eating. Their team symbol appears on the screen.
"Nice team-up idea Melissa," Fenton thanked the athletic nerd.
"Thanks Fenton, but it was JJ's idea in the first place," Melissa admitted.
JJ smiles bigger and uses a clown horn to express her happiness.
"Too bad Axel blew up any chances of us doing it again," Elsa confessed as she crosses her arms.
"Eh, not like it matters anyway," Boris admitted. He takes a spoonful of gruel into his mouth with a spoon. He struggles to swallow it. "Ugh, this is unacceptable. Two-second places in a row? We need to win that gold tent. I know all of you are tired of eating the same gruel for more than a week."
Melissa does not want to say it out loud, but she agrees with the rich kid. At least that is one thing they have in common, wanting to win. "It's going to be hard when there are only five of us."
"Just have me lead and we will be in first place in no time," Boris said arrogantly with a smug on his face.
"Yeah, not going to happen," Melissa obviously rejected the idea.
"I think we should give Boris a chance to lead at some point," Elsa suggested, siding with the rich kid. "I'm not saying now, but if things go south, I will not mind him being in charge."
Boris is surprised to hear the gamer girl vouching for him. Almost nobody does that for him.
"He seems capable of doing a great job," Fenton agreed with Elsa. "I like people being in charge of me."
His teammates look at him weirdly, especially Melissa and JJ.
"What, was it something I said?" Fenton asked innocently.
Melissa giggles awkwardly. "Don't worry about it Fenton."
Confessional – Melissa – Fried Freaks
"I can't believe my team wants Boris to lead," She said with shock. "Don't they know he's just going to be all snobby and boss us around to do things he doesn't want to do?"
Confessional – JJ – Fried Freaks
JJ uses sign language as subtitles are shown around her knees. Her facial expression gives off confusion.
'What are Elsa and Fenton's heads going through?', is what the subtitles show.
Confessional – Boris – Fried Freaks
"Glad to know there are teammates competent enough to know I can be a great leader when I put my mind to it," The rich kid spoke with smug again. "I did however only expect Fenton to vouch for me, not also Elsa."
Confessional – Elsa – Fried Freaks
"I do believe Boris can be a good leader. I can see he has the capability. Sure, he's snobby, but he is not lazy like in the beginning. He's been doing his part on the team for a while now."
End Confessionals
The Sleek Slushies are dining joyfully at the gold tent, without Meredith once again. Breakfast? Omelets with jam on toast, a glass of milk, and grapes. Caleb, Garry, and Kylie are happily eating their meal. Tamera is fidgeting while eating, making Hilda and Marty look at her with concern. Axel has his eyes narrowed at everyone while drinking some of his milk.
"Tamera, are you okay?" Hilda asked the vixen with concern.
"Hmm," Tamera looked at her teammate with crazy eyes. "Of course, I'm fine. Have you seen how great I am?" She then immediately starts gobbling her food, getting more weird looks from her teammates.
Marty decides to take a picture of her with his camera to capture her state in mind. Caleb looks at the vixen's actions and then looks at a camera with a blank stare.
"Make sure to eat up everyone," Hilda told her team. "We need to do our trusting exercises before Chris announces the challenge for today."
"As if anyone in this team is trustworthy," Axel spoke with distaste, and not because of the food.
"Which is why the bonding exercises are needed," Hilda told the gentleman, raising her voice a bit.
"This looks bad," Garry whispered to Kylie.
"Hmm? Did someone just say something?" Kylie wondered, looking around. Garry sighs sadly.
"With all due respect Hilda, but these two are not to be trusted with," Axel admitted, his eyes locked on Tamera who is still fidgeting, and Caleb. "Also, where is Meredith? Is she planning something behind our back too? She barely interacts with us during mealtimes."
"Axel, you're jumping to conclusions," Hilda scolded.
"What if I'm right?" Axel asked.
"So much for a happy meal with all of you," Caleb spoke before eating a piece of his omelet.
"Axel, I believe you need a massage to calm your thoughts," Hilda advised.
"She should do it. That intern has good hands," Marty agreed then chuckles.
Kylie looks at the photographer perplex. "Didn't she punch you for asking her to touch…"
"Like I said, good hands," Marty stopped the cheerleader from continuing to talk.
"Axel has a point. Meredith has been feeling pretty suspicious," Caleb admitted, rubbing his chin.
"Look," Hilda said to the ruthless gentleman. "Get a massage, you know you need to release some negative emotions."
Axel begrudgingly accepts the advice. "Fine, I'll go get the intern." He finishes up his breakfast and leaves the tent.
"Anyone wants to find Meredith so she can explain to the team what she has been doing?" Hilda asked.
Kylie and Marty immediately get up from their seats, even though they have not eaten all their breakfast.
"I'll do it," The two exclaimed joyfully at the same time. Then they leave the tent giggling.
Hilda is getting worked up with her team. She finishes eating her last bites and gets up. "I'm going to take a shower," She told Caleb, Tamera, and Garry.
Confessional – Hilda – Sleek Slushies
"I know is fine for Axel to not trust Tamera and Caleb, but now he has issues with Meredith? If he continues not trusting his teammates, they might vote him out again and I don't want that. He's a great friend." She frowns.
End Confessional
"I need to know why you are twitching all of a sudden," Caleb told Tamera, the two unaware that Garry is hearing the conversation.
"It's the urge," Tamera answered as she shows her hands shaking.
"The urge of what?" Caleb asked this time confused.
"The urge to cause drama," Tamera exclaimed. She flips the plate containing her breakfast, making her meal fall on some parts of the table and floor. She then drinks all her milk in one go and breaks the glass with her left hand.
Caleb's eyes widen seeing her actions. "Geez girl, calm down."
"When I mess with people's heads I'll calm down," Tamera said rapidly as she gets up from her chair. "I can't stay low Caleb; I need to be high."
"You're looking a lot high right now," Caleb joked with a friendly smirk.
"This is serious you idiot," Tamera insulted the handsome genius.
"You have to calm down if you want to stay long enough to have a slight chance of winning the money," Caleb warned.
"Oh please, the money is just a bonus," Tamera told bluntly. "I'm here to entertain so people can see my potential to give me my own reality show."
Caleb is baffled to hear this, but this does give him an excellent idea.
"I completely understand. A sexy beauty like yourself deserves to have a reality show. Who wouldn't want to love watching someone like you?" Caleb said, stroking Tamera's ego.
"I know right? I can't possibly stay low. I hunger attention," Tamera said. She sits down in a chair next to Caleb.
"Hey, I get that. It's always fun messing with people," Caleb agreed. "But if you want to cause good drama, you should do it to another team like the Power Poppers. They recently eliminated a player, which means they are easier to mess with."
A grin forms on Tamera's face. "You are absolutely right, thanks for the talk."
Confessional – Garry – Sleek Slushies
"I don't like to be in the spotlight, so I'm going to keep quiet unless those two causes drama in the team."
Confessional – Caleb – Sleek Slushies
"It always fun to stroke the egos of others. I do it to myself all the time, I just know how to control it. Anyway, the Power Poppers are the team I'm keeping my eyes on." He does an 'I am watching you' sign to emphasize his point.
"The fact that they almost won even with the team up with those Freaks means they are not a team to mess with. Tamera will wither them down while I do my part on our team." He finishes with a smile.
End Confessional
Buford and Meredith are at the Bargaby Bludiddle Hut, both eating their breakfast while Lucy polishes some prizes. Bo has gruel while the historian is eating strawberry crepes.
"I've eaten a lot of good meals at the gold tent, but never have seen that before," Buford admitted, taking a break from eating.
"Oh, well, maybe Chef and the interns got sick of making eggs, pancakes, and waffles," Meredith told him. She did not technically lie. She does not even know what her teammates were eating.
"You know, we've been seeing each other here all the time. How come you're not with your team?" Buford asked the historian.
Meredith rapidly swallows a piece of her crepe. What is she supposed to say? She looks at Lucy for guidance. The detective in training gives her a genuine smile and leans her head to her left a bit, indicating the historian to make something up with small talk.
Meredith looks at Buford to answer him. "Well, Axel has been quite… scary lately. Then there's also Tamera. I… want to have some alone time with myself." She goes back to eating her breakfast, hoping Bo is fine with the answer.
"Cool," Buford said casually. "I also come here for some alone time. Most of my teammates can be intolerable."
"But if you want alone time, why are you here with me?" Meredith asked.
Buford shrugs to that question. "I don't know, maybe I find you bearable despite being on different teams." He continues with his gruel, not noticing the flustered face of Meredith.
"Meredith," Kylie called out. "Where are you?"
Hearing the cheerleader's voice immediately makes the historian stand up. "Oh, I got to go. It was nice talking to you Bo."
Lucy finishes polishing the prizes, ready to ask Buford something. She puts her right arm on the counter, creating a small thud to get the boy's attention.
"So, 'Mr. Keep It Real', who was voted out from your team?" Lucy wondered.
"Pfft, a girl named Lily. Couldn't handle someone else's opinion," Buford answered.
"Ah, good," Lucy spoke happily. She will not need to worry about Chaos X, or will she need to?
Meredith runs up to Kylie and Marty.
"What's up?" The historian greeted her teammates.
"Nothing much, Axel and Tamera is just acting weird," Marty admitted.
"Hilda wanted to talk to you about something I believe," Kylie said, pointing behind her to show the brown tent.
"Cool," Meredith said and heads to the brown tent.
After some distance, Kylie and Marty snicker.
"You took a picture?" The cheerleader asked the photographer.
"Of course," Marty answered proudly. He shows the photo in his camera of Meredith and Buford talking with each other to Kylie.
Confessional – Kylie – Sleek Slushies
"I knew Meredith likes a Power Popper. Though, I thought it would be Gabriel, not Buford. But hey, is going to be fun teasing her."
Confessional – Marty – Sleek Slushies
"Meredith and Buford, I can dig it. I should probably delete this photo just in case it falls into the wrong hands." He looks at the photo in his camera once again. "Nah, it will be fine. I can't wait to see her reaction when I show her this."
End Confessionals
Lisa encounters Jett at the entrance to the roller coaster. The runaway is watching birds chirping on the entry sign. He is smiling and can smell peace in the atmosphere.
"Hi Jett," Lisa exclaimed happily, standing behind the blonde. Her sudden voice causes the birds to fly away.
"Great," Jett muttered sarcastically. "What is it, Lisa?"
"Just wanted to check up on you," Lisa said sweetly. "And read you a poem before Chris announces a challenge."
Jett's eyes widen in fear. He knows what is about to happen. He sighs, if he does not let her read it now, she will be telling him at some other time anyway.
"Fine, read me your poem," Jett insisted, still not facing the poet.
Lisa takes a piece of paper out from inside her beret. She clears her throat and reads it.
"Stomping my shoes at the beat,
Pumping up tricks using treats,
Watching kids getting scared,
Jumping with news on heat,
Like a hibernating bear," Lisa read.
Jett runs around to face the poet. His eyes blink with confusion. "That's the poem?"
"Yeah," Lisa answered happily. "Do you like it? I take a lot of pride and joy in my poems."
"It needs a bit of work," Jett spoke sincerely.
"Hmm, I guess I am missing some beats," Lisa concluded.
The speakers throughout the carnival turn on. "Attention teams, meet me at the bumper cars ride in thirty minutes," Chris announced through the speakers.
Confessional – Jett – Power Poppers
"I expected Lisa to read some disgusting love poem about me, but she values her passion. I surprisingly dig that."
Confessional – Lisa – Power Poppers
"It was so hard not to read a poem that I made about Jett, but that wordplay would have made him feel uncomfortable. It didn't make me comfortable when reading it out loud either."
End Confessionals
The three teams arrive at the bumper cars ride. Each team's symbol appears on the screen. Chris and Chef seem thrilling with excitement.
"What's with the cheeky grins?" Melissa asked the hosts.
"Oh, just Chef and I imagining the chaos coming today's challenges," Chris answered.
"Another two challenges?" Marty asked.
"Yep, both being good and bad depending on how you see it," Chef answered this time, holding back a few chuckles.
"Teens, take a look at the bumper cars inside the fence," Chris told the contestants.
The three teams gaze at multiple small electrically powered cars inside the fenced ride. There are contacts under the vehicles, touching the floor. There is also a pole-mounted contact shoe from the cars to the ceiling, forming a complete circuit. Some cars are yellow, others orange, and the rest pink. The strangest part is that all bumper cars have a small cannon attached to their front. Chef is now standing at the operator system.
"Hey, Chris, why do the bumper cars have cannons?" Gabriel asked the host.
"Good eye Gabriel," Chris complimented the politician.
"We're all seeing it," Lisa said quietly as she rolls her eyes.
"Those cannons have some nice stuff inside that will help you all during the challenge," Chris said.
"Then explain it already," Tamera spoke impatiently.
"Alright, alright, sheez," The host said with annoyance. He returns to his happy face. "Today's first challenge is…"
"Did you all know that the original bumper cars were not meant to bump because they could easily fall apart? The thrill was in giving kids a chance to drive and avoid hitting the other cars. That's why they were called dodgems back then, meant for dodging," Meredith accidentally interrupted the host.
"Meredith, do not interrupt me again," Chris told, glaring at the historian. "Ever."
"Sorry," Meredith rapidly apologized, though the host does not seem to care about the apology since he begins to talk about the challenge again.
"Today's first challenge is called Bumper Crash: Wheels of Fury," Chris told the three teams. "Everyone will go inside and grab a cart that is part of your team's color. Then Chef will start the ride. The goal is to do damage to your opponent's cart as much as possible so that it can shut down by itself. The cannons will help do more harm to a car. Careful, everyone has limited ammo so use your resource wisely. A team with at least one car left still running gets an advantage for today's second challenge. Any questions?"
Several contestants raise their hands.
"Good, I'll open the fence door to let you all in," Chris said, walking to the entrance to the ride.
Confessional – Hilda – Sleek Slushies
"This challenge is too violent," She said with discomfort.
Confessional – Sua – Power Poppers
"This challenge is too violent, yeah!" She cheered.
Confessional – Elsa – Fired Freaks
"Time to put all that hard work from Mushroom Kart to the test."
Confessional – Marty – Sleek Slushies
He is tinkering with his camera, checking his settings. "Okay, so my camera wasn't that good during the race challenge, but I'm using it for this one. Maybe then my team will get along with me again."
Confessional – Caleb – Sleek Slushies
"I've played bumper cars before, using a cannon attached to it is no difference for me." He crosses his arms and gives a confident grin.
End Confessionals
Every contestant is now in a corresponding bumper car. Chef turns on the ride with the operator system. The cars turn on, ready to bump. Some contestants have worried looks on their faces. Such as Fenton, Hilda, and Meredith. Others seem eager to crash their bumper car into others. Such as Jett, Boris, and Kylie.
"And crash!" Chris exclaimed, starting the challenge.
Everyone begins driving their bumper car around the spacious arena. Gabriel notices Fenton is nearest to him, so he presses a grey button in his car to have the cannon shoot out whatever it contains. The cannon shoots hot tea at the competent sidekick.
Fenton can feel his skin getting burned every second, causing him to scream in pain. Some of the liquid hot tea gets onto the wire pole mounted on the car that connects to the roof. This causes a short circuit, electrocuting Fenton as well. Plus, shutting down the vehicle in the process.
"Sorry," Gabriel quickly apologizes as he stirs away from the Fried Freak.
Confessional – Fenton – Fried Freaks
"While it does feel awful being out of the challenge first, I don't have to decide whether to use the cannon or bump into someone. I would have just frozen up and done nothing."
Confessional – Gabriel – Power Poppers
"I didn't know there will be hot tea in the cannon. Now I feel bad for hurting Fenton. I'll just be bumping other cars from now on."
End Confessionals
Boris pushes the button on his car gently to see what's inside the cannon. A bit of hot tea pours out of the cannon.
"These cars have good taste," Boris admitted with his smug smile. He notices Hilda approaching and presses the button harder to launch the hot tea.
Hilda opens her mouth and eats the whole hot entire hot tea in one gulp. "Thanks for the tea Boris." She bumps into the rich kid to make a dent in her opponent's car. Then she leaves him.
"That was bloody weird," Boris said.
Maverick and Marty lock eyes, ready to battle. The promoter activates his bumper car's cannon, launching three gray squirrels at the photographer. Marty tries to flash the squirrels away with his camera, but the rodents quickly climb up the wire pole of his car, rapidly nibbling it down.
"No, go away," Marty said, aiming his camera at the squirrels. The distraction lets Maverick bump into him, doing damage to the car.
The squirrels finish chewing on the wire, deactivating Marty's car from running.
"First time squirrels have ever been nice to me," Maverick said then let out a small chuckle.
The squirrels hear his voice and immediately run-up to his car to chew the wire off. Both boys are eliminated from the challenge.
"I had to jinx it," The promoter said, covering his face with his hands out of embarrassment. The squirrels point and laugh at him.
Confessional – Maverick – Power Poppers
"I don't like squirrels, they always somehow make things worse for me," The promoter said with annoyance in his voice. "Like taking my sandwiches every time I eat at a park."
End Confessional
Jett quickly presses the button on his car to launch incoming seagulls at Elsa. Some of them hit her face.
"Ow, how is Chris getting away with this?" The gamer girl wonder as a seagull almost cuts the wire from her car with its beak. "Pretty sure having animals get shot out of cannon is illegal."
Chris is standing next to Chef, watching the action.
"I always find a way," McLean told the audience and winked.
Back at the challenge, Melissa rams Jett into a corner. She repeatedly rams into him since he is backed at a corner and cannot do anything.
"Ow, ow, ow!" Jett exclaimed as his bumper car continues to close on him thanks to the crashes. "Stop, I'm out already."
Melissa crashes once more and sees her opponent's car shut down. "Sorry, had to make sure it won't run." She leaves the runaway alone to crash into someone else.
"Could have been more thoughtful," Jett spoke with his eyes narrowed.
Confessional – Melissa – Fried Freaks
"Have I mentioned I can get competitive? Especially with sports? Yeah, I can overdo it sometimes. But I needed to make sure that bumper car got demoli… I mean out of order." She gives off a nervous smile.
End Confessional
Tamera sets her sights on Sua and presses the button in her car. The cannon launches a comically large pumpkin head at the idol.
"Huh?" Sua said with confusion as the pumpkin head hits her face. Instead of the pumpkin splattering completely, it only breaks a bit, so it looks like Sua has a jack o lantern pumpkin on her face. Luckily, she can still see thanks to the eye holes.
This does not stop Tamera from laughing at her though. Which causes the vixen to accidentally hit a fence. "Shit! Stupid pumpkin face making me laugh." She cursed, as she now has to back up to get her bumper car moving at top speed again.
Kylie activates her cannon at JJ and launches glitter at the clown.
"Glitter? Seriously!? How come I get a terrible cannon?" Kylie wondered with disbelief.
JJ does not mind the glitter and bumps into the cheerleader.
"Oh, it is on!" Kylie exclaimed, ready to knock JJ out of the challenge.
Melissa decides it will be a good time to activate whatever is in her bumper car's cannon. Outcomes a bunch of sports balls like basketball, soccer, baseball, and American football. She launches them again at no near target and realizes there is a pattern.
While the athletic nerd does her stuff, Lilith launches a large sticky spider web onto the floor thanks to her cannon. Elsa drives through it and notices her vehicle is slowing down.
"Hmm, it seems the sticky web has reduced my speed," Elsa pointed out. "Hope she does not set up to sweep my team."
Thanks to low speed, Lilith can bump into Elsa's car and do so much damage that the car shuts off.
"Nice thinking," Elsa told the goth as she gives a thumbs up.
"Thanks," Lilith took the compliment and continues with the challenge.
Back with Melissa, she launches a baseball ball directly at the wire connected to Tamera's car and it almost snaps into two.
"Since the baseball ball is smaller compared to the other balls such as soccer and basketball, its velocity is much faster. This means that the faster it is, the stronger it gets. This allowed the wire to snap in the first place," Melissa concluded.
"I didn't need you rambling about physics or whatever you're talking about," Tamera said rudely, crossing her arms.
Boris stops his bumper car immediately to talk to Melissa. "Soccer? Ugh, it's called football you absolute bu…"
Buford rams his bumper car into the rich kid, sending Boris and his car to the other side of the fence.
"Foon," Boris finished. He then passes out as his car shuts down,
Melissa quickly gets away from Buford to go find someone else. The tall dude notices Axel coming close to ram him. He presses the button in his bumper car and its cannon launches mayonnaise at the gentleman.
"Disgusting," Buford said, not a fan of mayonnaise.
The mayonnaise sadly does not stop Axel though. Buford notices his ruthless demeanor and decides to jump out of his bumper car. With so much force, Axel pushes back the car so far it hits a fence, exploding on impact.
"Dude, that is not cool," Buford told the Slushie as he climbs an area of a fence to get out of the arena.
Axel is about to apologize to Buford until Gabriel shoots hot tea at him. He grunts from the scorching sensation and then is electrocuted. His bumper car shuts down. Furious, he punches the steering wheel of his bumper car, almost completely breaking it.
"You okay up there?" Gabriel asked Buford, seeing him climbing.
"Nah, I got this dude. Go and get that advantage," Bo encouraged his teammate.
Confessional – Gabriel – Power Poppers
"Okay, I know I said I wasn't going to use the hot tea again, but did you see how Axel rammed into Buford's bumper car? Dude is going at it and can cause unintentional major damage."
End Confessional
Kylie and JJ continue to bump their bumper cars into each other. Glitter is no use in this challenge and JJ's cannon only launches streamers. The evidence of that is on the cheerleader's hair. Colorful streamers all over.
Meredith shows up to bump into JJ, catching the silent clown off guard. The hit was successful enough for JJ's car to shut down.
"Take that you monster!" Meredith exclaimed.
"Wow, you really don't like clowns," Kylie told the historian.
"They are vile creatures," Meredith told her teammate.
"Okaaaaayyyy," Kylie said awkwardly.
Hilda arrives at the two. "Hey girls, looks like we have an advantage right now."
The three girls look around and see that Melissa is the only Fried Freak left while the Power Poppers have four. These are Gabriel, Lisa, Sua, and Lilith.
"We need to get rid of the Poppers," Tamera came onto the scene, meeting up with her Slushies. "None of you will do well as me taking them out, but having numbers is always a pleasure."
Kylie scoffs at the vixen. "You're lucky we need you to win."
"Girls, less fighting, more concentrating," Hilda reminded.
As the four Slushies plan their attack, Melissa uses her cannon again to launch a baseball ball at Caleb's car wire, breaking its connection to the roof.
"Tarter sauce," Caleb said, knowing he is out of the challenge.
The Slushies minus Garry who is still in the challenge surrounds Lilith. The goth has nowhere to run and accepts her defeat. The four bumper cars bump into hers to shut down the car.
Confessional – Lilith – Power Poppers
"I can endure all that, but not the bumper car. Hopefully, my teammates that remain in the challenge can win the advantage."
End Confessional
The female Slushies move on to their next target which is Lisa. The poet presses the button in her bumper car. The cannon launches a grand piano into the sky. How was that able to even fit in the cannon? Nevertheless, the Slushies decide to abandon their bumper cars to not get crushed. The grand piano destroys all four cars.
Confessional – Hilda – Sleek Slushies
She does not look happy. "What was Chris thinking when making this challenge?"
End Confessional
The Slushies quickly exit out from the arena by using the entrance in which they came. Only Garry is left for the Slushies. He seems safe since the remaining Power Poppers are after Melissa. The athletic nerd puts herself in a corner and turns around. She stands up a bit and leans forward to put her left hand on the cannon. Then she uses her right hand to press the button to activate the cannon. She grabs a baseball ball with her right hand.
The three Poppers arrive.
"Game over Freak," Lisa taunted. "Give her the tea," She told Gabriel.
Gabriel hesitates to do it. This gives Melissa enough time to throw her baseball into the politician's cannon. Gabriel finally presses the button, only for the cannon to explode with hot tea. Some getting on him, his car's wire, and Sua's legs.
"This is fine," Sua said casually.
Since the tea touched the wire, Gabriel's bumper car stops working. He receives a few shocks, but nothing major like what happened to the others.
Melissa accidentally shoots a basketball in Sua's face, breaking the pumpkin head she was wearing. The basketball bounces off the idol's face and into a fence. Which bounces back at Sua, hitting her again as the cycle repeats. The basketball going back and forth between her face, and the fence.
"Ow, ouch, stop, no, I'm crazy," Sua blabbered every time she was hit.
"Sua, duck," Lisa told her teammate.
Learning from her mistake during the racing challenge, Sua ducks so the ball can no longer hit her.
"Thank you," Sua thanked the poet. The camera shows the markings of the basketball on her face. She passes out.
"Does that count as her out of the challenge?" Lisa wondered. "Or…"
She is hit on her left shoulder with a football by Melissa. "Hey!"
"Sorry, is just part of the game," Melissa apologized.
Lisa is about to bump into Melissa, until Garry shows up and bumps into the poet, creating a domino effect of her crashing into the athletic nerd.
BLAM!
Both girls are shown moving their heads, feeling dizzy. Their bumper cars shut down.
"Hmm," Chris hummed, seeing the final results. Sua's bumper car has not shut down, but she seems unable to proceed further with the challenge. "And Jerry somehow wins the advantage for the Sleek Slushies in the second challenge," The host announced.
"It's Garry," Garry exclaimed.
Confessional – Garry – Sleek Slushies
"I did not expect to win a challenge for my team ever. But everyone was avoiding me for some reason to let me slip by and take the win. There's no way they could have forgotten me being in the game, right?"
End Confessionals
The teams, Chris, and Chef are now inside the cook's kitchen. Since this is the first time contestants are inside, they can see the dull look to it, having the walls painted green and the floors being made out of various color brown blanks. There is a silver dark yellow counter with three faucets and three sinks. Also, three wooden cabinets full of ingredients, a wooden door, two windows to let fresh air in, a brown wooden table next to five chairs, a white fridge, three stoves, and another cabinet full of utensils to use to cook.
Each team symbol appears on the screen.
"Teams, this is where you will be doing your second challenge," Chris said happily.
Kylie's eyes widen in fear. "Oh no, don't tell me."
"That's right, today's second challenge is a cooking challenge," Chris announced, getting mixed reactions from the contestants. "Since we are at a carnival, I believe it will be most appropriate to have the food be carnival theme. Each team will be making popcorn, cotton candy, and slush for Chef, a special guest, and I."
"I'm surprised that Chef would let us cook here considering all the stuff that happened to his kitchen in Radiant Redemption," Meredith admitted.
"My kitchen now has insurance," Chef answered the historian. "But I wouldn't try to destroy it if you all know what's good for ya."
Several contestants chuckle nervously. Chris continues explaining the challenge.
"Since these foods should be easy to make, I will be only giving each team twenty-five minutes. Just in case if any of you slip up," Chris said. "There are popcorn and cotton candy machines outside the kitchen where Chef puts the garbage. Not all of them work though, so there is a risk-taking them."
"Chris, there's no slush machine?" Maverick asked the host.
"Nope, seems like the previous owner got rid of them," Chris answered the promoter.
"Then how are we going to make slushies?" Marty wondered.
"Exactly, slushies take at least an hour and fifteen minutes to even get its perfection in a freezer," Boris added.
"Well, you can turn down the freezer's temperature this kitchen has," Chris suggested. "But then you need someone inside to make sure the slush turns out great." He chuckles, imagining some teens being stuck inside the freezer. "By the way, since the Sleek Slushies won the previous challenge, they get a piece of paper containing all the carnival food recipes that will be used today."
Chef gives a piece of paper to Axel. The gentleman decides to leave it near a kitchen sink unattended.
"Have fun cooking," Chris told the contestants. Chef and he leave the kitchen.
Confessional – Kylie – Sleek Slushies
"I am so glad we have the recipe paper. I cannot cook, at all. My parents banned me from cooking because I will always start fires. I remember setting the culinary class on fire in one of my middle schools. Luckily I am always on fire myself since no one teased me that I can't cook."
Confessional – Axel – Sleek Slushies
"Let's see who takes the bait. I put the recipe on a sink to see if Caleb or Tamera try to take it to sabotage the team. One of them is bound to keep it for themself."
End Confessionals
The Fried Freaks huddle to discuss how they will be taking on this cooking challenge.
"I can't lead this time," Melissa sadly confessed.
"Huh?" Fenton and Elsa said at the same time.
"I'm out of my element. Sure, I can cook, but I have never made these types of food before," Melissa stated.
"You're just saying that so we don't have a reason to vote you off if we lose," Boris assumed.
Melissa narrows his eyes at him. "No, I'm not kidding. This is why JJ will be the head chef of the team. She must know how to make these types of food, right JJ?" She slightly turns her head to her right to see the clown.
JJ takes out a small cotton candy machine from her wig, smiling joyfully.
"See, she's got this," Melissa assured.
"You're forgetting she is mute," Boris told the athletic nerd.
"Rude," Melissa commentated.
Fenton, Elsa, and JJ watch the two continue to talk.
"It's not rude, it's logical. How you're going to have her be a head chef when no one in this team knows sign language," Boris declared.
"She can just tell us by using body language," Melissa countered.
"You want Chris chuffed to bits, then have me be head chef," Boris proclaimed.
"Chuffed to bits?" Elsa said confused.
"It means to be pleased," Fenton told the gamer.
"No way, I'm not having you in charge," Melissa stated. "Bet you don't even know how to cook."
"Pfft, don't make me laugh," Boris brushed her off. "I know how to cook. I need to make sure whenever my butler cooks for me they get my meals right."
"How many butlers have you had?" Elsa asked.
"Eh, I lost count at forty," Boris answered with a shrug.
Melissa still is not budging. "Look…"
"I want Boris to lead," Elsa interrupted.
"Give him a chance," Fenton said to Melissa while smiling.
JJ nods. She does not want her team to waste time on the show.
"You too JJ?" Melissa said with a frown. She sighs, she cannot be too controlling of her team. "Fine, Boris can be head chef."
"Finally, we already wasted five minutes of your blabbering nonsense," Boris rudely told her. "First off, we need to find a working popcorn machine outside. Fenton and Melissa will be in charge of that. Elsa will make cotton candy with the machine JJ took out of her wig."
JJ gives the small machine to Elsa.
"What about the slush?" Elsa reminded the rick kid.
"JJ will take care of that. She probably has a heater somewhere in that messy wig of hers that can keep her warm when we put her in the freezer," Boris answered. "I'll be adding my exquisite taste with extra ingredients to make the judges love the food."
"You sure you're okay with this?" Melissa asked JJ, wanting to make sure her friend is okay doing this.
JJ uses her clown horn to honk two times, not minding the task Boris gave her.
Confessional – Melissa – Fried Freaks
"Have to look on the bright side. If Boris messes up it will be easier to get votes to eliminate him."
End Confessional
Axel immediately takes charge of his team. The symbol of the Sleek Slushies appears on the screen.
"Okay team, time for me to pick your partners," Axel told his team. "Meredith and Caleb, you two are in charge of cotton candy."
Caleb is cool with this while Meredith is doing her best not to freak out since JJ will be walking around the kitchen.
"Marty and Kylie will be doing popcorn."
The two look at each other and smile.
"Hilda and Garry will make the slushies."
Garry waves at Hilda who waves back at him.
"Okay, where does that leave me?" Tamera asked the gentleman.
"Doing nothing," Axel answered.
A scratching sound of a record player can be heard in the background.
"I'm sorry, what?" Tamera said confused.
"You're going to do nothing," Axel repeated. "I'll be entering the freezer to make sure the slush is perfect."
"How you're going to do that?" Hilda wondered.
"Let's just say that my rage will keep me from getting cold," Axel answered, balling his fists.
This makes everyone get to cooking rapidly. Tamera gazes at the recipe paper, right there on a sink.
Is now time to show the Power Poppers plan. Their symbol appears on the screen.
"Okay everyone, here's how we are going to win this challenge," Gabriel told his teammates, determined to win with a smile. "First off, is there anyone that would like to volunteer for the freezer?"
"Oh, me, me," Lilith said, jumping while raising her left hand.
"Good, you'll just need to put on extra clothes to keep you warm," Gabriel suggested.
"I will not need that," Lilith told him. "I can handle the cold."
"Are you sure?" Sua said worryingly.
"Positive," Lilith assured.
"I've seen her able to withstand multiple electric shocks without flinching," Maverick vouched for the goth. "She can do this."
"Okay then, Lilith will be for the freezer. Jett and Lisa are in charge of popcorn, Maverick and Sua cotton candy while Buford and I take care of the slush.
"Sounds good to me," Buford said confidently.
Everyone seems to be fine with the order except for Jett and Maverick.
Confessional – Maverick – Power Poppers
"I don't want to sound mean, but I'm a bit skeptical of Gabriel continuing to be the leader," the promoter admitted. "Don't get me wrong, dude is awesome and humble, but for these past challenges, he has not made the best decisions. We won the target one because Jett and Lisa found a loophole, the voting during the race slowed us down, can't say anything bad about the laser challenge. Still, I think I should start leading the team soon."
End Confessional
Elsa is putting the floss, which is also called the cotton candy mix into the spinning head of the small cotton candy machine JJ took out of her wig. Boris approaches her to make sure everything is okay.
"Make sure to reduce heat as the floss begins to flow out of the floss head," Boris told the gamer.
"Got it," Elsa understood.
The blonde kid then watches Melissa and Fenton put the popcorn machine on the kitchen counter. Fenton plugs the cable into an outlet to turn on the machine.
"Remember to put butter and coconut oil into the Whirley pop when the kettle is inside it," Boris reminded. He heads to the fridge to grab a soda. He has three options, blueberry, strawberry, and grape.
While he decides which soda flavor to pick, Melissa tries to open a bag containing kettle corn inside. She struggles to open it.
"I can help," Fenton said happily, seeing his teammate skirmish.
"No need for that Fenton. I have this," Melissa politely told him, still trying to open the bag.
"You can use some help," Fenton persisted with kindness, grabbing the bag.
"I have this," Melissa told him again. The two pulls on the bag. "Would you let go?"
"You need assistance," Fenton told her.
"I'm perfectly fine," Melissa stated.
"You've been trying to open it for more than ten seconds," Fenton countered.
"It's a durable bag," Melissa tried to defend herself.
JJ watches the two pull more on the kettle bag while eating a corn dog.
SNAP!
The bag shreds into two and the kettle blasts all over the kitchen.
"Hey, watch it," Exclaimed other contestants, getting the kettle on their hair.
"Sorry," Melissa and Fenton apologize at the same time. They narrow their eyes at each other.
Boris comes back with a large bottle of blueberry soda and immediately finds what they are doing unacceptable. "Can you two get your heads together and be useful. I don't need slackers corrupting my perfect dishes."
Confessional – Melissa – Fried Freaks
"Okay, maybe I should have had Fenton open the bag, whoopsie."
Confessional – Fenton – Fried Freaks
"Melissa doesn't seem particularly fond of receiving help. I might have to change that. It's the least I can do since she contributes a lot to the team."
End Confessionals
The Sleek Slushies are having a peaceful time doing their cooking. Their symbol appears on the screen. Marty and Kylie have decided to make their popcorn in the microwave. Hilda is pouring strawberry soda into large size cups.
"I feel like I don't need to do anything," Garry admitted.
"Yeah, making these only requires one person to it," Hilda agreed. She sees Axel watching his team like a hawk. "Can you put a lid on these cups? I'll be right back."
As Garry puts on the lids, Hilda walks up to Axel.
"How was that massage this morning?" Hilda asked.
"Didn't happen, madam. The intern told me she only gives massages at night," Axel answered her.
"Oh," Hilda frowned. "It's time for you to head to the freezer. Garry and I have the sodas shake and ready."
"Which flavor did you two pick?" Axel wondered.
"Strawberry," Hilda answered smiling.
"Good, Chris hates grape soda," The gentleman stated.
Kylie and Marty still not have put the minutes for the popcorn to cook in the microwave.
"How many minutes was it?" Kylie asked the photographer.
"Um, ten?" Marty said unsure.
"Get the recipe," Kylie told him.
Marty goes to look at the recipe. He passes by Axel, JJ, and Lilith who are heading to the freezer.
"Who's going to lower the temperature?" Lilith asked the two.
"Allow me," Boris told the three. "I'll make sure you three don't have to be that long in the freezer." He lowers a bit thermostat to the freezer.
"Thanks," Lilith expressed gratitude.
"Yes, be happy JJ will go inside because I don't care about you other two," Boris admitted, rapidly getting a glare from the gentleman and goth.
Boris opens the freezer so the three contestants holding the soda cups can head inside. He then locks the freezer.
"It's gone!" Marty exclaimed, getting attention from everyone except for those who are inside the freezer.
"What's gone?" Meredith asked him as she and Caleb put the floss mix into the cotton candy machine.
"The paper that has the recipe," Marty told her.
The Sleek Slushies gasp.
"Who could have done this?" Hilda conjectured.
"Probably Jett," Tamera said, accusing the runaway.
"What?" Jett heard his name, accidentally pouring more canola oil than necessary into the popcorn machine he and Lisa got from outside.
"We all saw him take that taxi driver's wallet," Tamera recapped everyone. "He undoubtedly is the one who took the recipe so the Power Poppers can win today."
"Seriously?" Gabriel said, baffled at the possibility of his teammate's actions.
"Hand over the recipe," Caleb told the runaway.
"I did not take that paper. I don't have it on me," Jett told the handsome genius.
"Doubtful," Kylie told him, crossing her arms. "Give us the recipe now."
Confessional – Tamera – Sleek Slushies
"I took the recipe," She said, showing the paper in her right hand. "Caleb told me to mess with the Power Poppers, so I'm having them lose their trustiness with Jett. Messing with my team is a bonus."
End Confessional
"Let me show you all why I don't have it," Jett said. He takes off his grey beanie, then his jean jacket and his white t-shirt. This exposes his lean tone chest and stomach, causing Lisa to open her mouth and drool a bit from the glorious sight. Some of the drool lands on the kettle corn since she has not closed the machine yet.
Jett is about to take his belt out of his skinny ripped jeans until Gabriel intervenes.
"Whoa there, let's not do something unnecessary," Gabriel told Jett. He then looks at the Sleek Slushies. "If Jett had the recipe, he would have shown it to us since he is only in charge of the popcorn."
Gabriel brings up a good point. Sure, Jett can keep the recipe secret to him and Lisa, but why not show it to the others to get a perfect score?
"The recipe probably blew away from all the running we have been doing," Gabriel suggested. "Check the floors."
The Sleek Slushies look at each other.
"Alright, we'll continue on our task," Hilda told Gabriel. The two teens head back to their retrospective teams.
Jett gives a perplexed look to Gabriel after putting his shirt and jacket on. "Why did you defend me?"
"Because I figured you are innocent this once," Gabriel answered. "You wouldn't have stolen the recipe. Too risky when there are so many eyes watching."
Confessional – Jett – Power Poppers
"Defend the innocent?" He said with confusion. "As if someone who wants to become a politician will do the right thing. Bet after the challenge he's going to offer a deal for saving my butt there."
End Confessional
Chef enters the kitchen. "You all have five minutes left to finish making your food."
"Great, how are we going to finish making them?" Caleb asked his teammates.
"We'll just have to wing it I guess," Hilda admitted, afraid the final results will not turn out well.
Kylie and Marty return to the microwave to figure out the settings to cook popcorn.
"Um, for ten minutes?" Marty asked the cheerleader.
"Ten!? We have less than five!" Kylie exclaimed. She puts the temperature to five hundred degrees.
The kettle begins to turn into popcorn, much to the excitement of the two Slushies. However, the heat gets hotter and hotter, setting the popcorn on fire. Then the microwave gets on fire. The two screams and panic, making everyone look at them and notice the fire.
"Oh shit!" Caleb cursed.
Sua tries to get the fire extinguisher to put out the fire, but her long black hair gets stuck into the spinning head of the cotton candy machine from the Poppers.
"Ah," Sua gasp in worry. She can feel part of her hair spinning in the machine. "Shut it off!"
Maverick quickly unplugs the machine for it to stop spinning. He then uses scissors to cut Sua's hair, so she does not have cotton candy on her.
Sua barely holds her smile together.
Jett looks at the finished popcorn and takes one to taste. "Ugh, why does this taste so wet?"
Lisa whistles casually. Though, the spill of oil is also another factor.
Garry and Marty head to the fire extinguisher but bump their heads into each other, knocking them out. Fenton takes the extinguisher, opens it, and aims it at the fire. Only for it not to spew any foam.
"That's a problem," Fenton said out loud.
"What is that a prop?" Buford said with disbelief that the extinguisher has nothing of use.
"There has to be something cold in the freezer to stop the fire," Elsa told everyone. She looks at Boris, giving him the signal to open the freezer.
Boris first tries to raise the temperature of the place with the thermostat, but it is frozen. He does his best to raise it and accidentally breaks it.
"Ugh, what a cheap thermostat. The safety precautions on this show are horrendous," Boris proclaimed.
"Who cares, we need to save them and get this fire out," Melissa told him as she, Maverick, and Garry try to open the freezer door, also frozen.
Tamera is chilling by sitting on a white chair and sipping some coffee as the fire gets bigger.
"This is fine," She said and takes a sip of her drink.
Inside the freezer, Axel, Lilith, and JJ are completely fine inside the cold place. Each of them sitting on an upside-down bucket. The clown has a heater nearby to keep her warm.
"Tell me how you are not frozen," Axel told the goth, releasing a bit of cold breath every time he talks.
"I have strong endurance," Lilith answered happily. "What about you?"
"I'm channeling the anger I have towards two teammates of mine to stay warm," Axel spoke.
"That is cool," Lilith admitted. "With you enhancing your rage, you can have more durability. What hurts more, a hammer or a bat?"
Axel gives her a weird look. "I'll pass, I need concentration."
"What about you JJ?" Lilith asked the clown.
JJ just stares at her.
"Come on, you can speak," Lilith assured the Fried Freak.
JJ continues to stare at her.
"Don't be shy."
Axel watches the awkwardness.
"Let it out," Lilith insisted but is now annoyed. "Can you just give me your answer already?"
JJ takes a small squeaky hammer out of her wig.
"Guess she picks her hammer. Though next time, be more specific with your question madam," Axel said kindly.
Confessional – Lilith – Power Poppers
"I would have liked an actual response."
Confessional – Axel – Sleek Slushies
"I don't think Lilith knows that JJ is mute."
End Confessionals
The contestants can finally open the freezer. Axel, JJ, and Lilith take their slushies and head outside. They see the fire going on and stop in their tracks.
"What?" Axel said, perplexed at the sight.
"The?" Lilith spoke, looking happy to see the fire.
JJ uses her clown horn.
Kylie grabs a huge block of ice and runs towards the fire. "I got this!"
"Kylie wait," Melissa told the cheerleader. "If you put that out now…"
Too late, the brunette throws the ice block onto the fire. It deletes the flames, but smoke appears.
"Everybody out," Gabriel commanded. All teams exit out of the kitchen while making sure they have all their food, whether they are tasty or not.
A new scene commences with the teams outside the gold tent, waiting for Chris, Chef, and the special guest.
For the Fried Freaks, Fenton is carrying the slushies, Elsa the cotton candy, and Melissa the popcorn in bags.
Meredith is holding the popcorn for the Sleek Slushies, Hilda the slushies, and Tamera the cotton candy.
Holding the food for the Power Poppers are Lisa who has the popcorn, Buford the cotton candy, and Maverick the slushies.
Chef exits the gold tent. "Here's the order. Popcorn, slush, and then cotton candy." He heads back into the tent.
Melissa, Meredith, and Lisa enter the gold tent. The two hosts and the special guest are sitting at a table, ready to be served.
The guest has black short wild hair that is not combed at all. He has a round face, a small nose, a mole under his chin, and a small scar on his right cheek. He has a slightly muscular body and is wearing a green t-shirt, white undershirt, blue pants, black shoes, and circle glasses. Lastly, he has black eyes and white skin.
"Everyone, say hello to resident Back to the Islands contestant, Vincente," Chris announced to the audience.
"It's great to make a cameo," Vincente said happily.
"So, Vincente, how's hosting International Showdown?" Chris asked the reality show veteran.
"It's been great, it's not as popular as Total Drama but the ratings and fans are there," Vincente mentioned.
"Good to hear that my show will always be the best," Chris said with a smirk. Vincente just rolls his eyes. "Bring in the popcorn," The host called.
Melissa is the first, passing a bag of popcorn to each judge. The judges grab a handful of popcorn and put the food in their mouths. After swallowing, they come to their decision.
"That's some really good popcorn," Chris said joyfully.
"Not much of a fan of junk food, but this popcorn has quality in it," Chef admitted.
Vincente takes a piece of popcorn and puts it in his mouth. "I have no complaints."
"Yes!" Melissa cheered happily. "In your faces," She told Meredith and Lisa. She quickly realizes the unnecessary taunting. "Oh, sorry, my bad." She quickly heads back to her team.
Meredith gives her popcorn bags to the judges. They look inside and notice how burned the popcorn is.
"Pretty sure these are not edible," Chris told the historian.
"They are crunchy?" Meredith tried to defend the burned food.
"Yeah, I'm not buying that," Vincente told her, putting his bag to the side. Chris and Chef do the same.
Meredith frowns and returns to her team. Lisa walks up to the judges to give them their popcorn. The three see that the meal has been burnt and put some popcorn into their mouths. All three of them quickly spit it out onto Lisa's face.
"Typical manner that I should have expected," Lisa stated.
"This popcorn is soggy," Chris told the poet.
"It provides… a unique taste?" Lisa tried to convince but fails.
"Yeah no, this is bad," The host told her. "Tell the contestants outside to bring in the slushies."
Confessional – Lisa – Power Poppers
"I'm just going to tell my team they thought the Freaks' popcorn was better."
End Confessional
Fenton, Hilda, and Maverick put their slushies on the judge's table. Chris, Chef, and Vincente drink a bit of each slushie. Then they talk to each other about their thoughts.
"Alright, two things," Chris said to Hilda, Fenton, and Maverick. "One, the blueberry slushie is slightly waterier than the other two, and I did not like the Popper one."
"Why though?" Maverick asked the host.
"It's grape flavor. I like grapes, but in a slush no," Chris answered him.
Maverick is dumbfounded but does not pester. People have their preferences of flavor.
"Bring in the cotton candy."
Confessional – Hilda – Sleek Slushies
"The popcorn was a setback, but at least the strawberry slushie turned out great."
End Confessional
Elsa, Tamera, and Buford arrive with their cotton candy. Each judge grabs a cone from them and tastes each one.
Chris, Chef, and Vincente spit out the Power Poppers' cotton candy into the floor.
"Darn these kids, making me clean this up because they can't make good food," Chef said with annoyance.
"Relax, we got interns to do that," Chris reminded the cook.
"So, what's wrong with the cotton candy?" Buford asked the judges.
Vincente takes a hair out of his tongue and shows more hair inside his cotton candy. "The sweet has hair inside."
Confessional – Buford – Power Poppers
"And just like that, my team is now sucking. Seriously, how could we lose so badly in less than five minutes?"
End Confessional
The teams wait outside the gold tent for Chris to announce who won and lost. The host exits the tent.
"Teams, I'm pleased to declare today's winner and losers," Chris said. "Some dishes were great and others not so much. However, there was a team that performed worse than the other two. That team is the Power Poppers."
The Poppers are not even mad about the loss. They knew they lost the moment the fire came blazing in the kitchen.
"Make sure to figure out who to vote off tonight," Chris told the team, He then looks at the two. "Sleek Slushies and Fried Freaks, some good carnival food you made. But ultimately it came down to the Sleek's popcorn being burned."
"Wait, does that mean?" Melissa pondered with anticipation.
"That's right, the Fried Freaks finally get a win," Chris announced.
The Fried Freaks cheer with victory. After finishing, Boris walks up to the athletic nerd all smugly.
"Well, I'm waiting," Boris told Melissa as he crosses his arms.
Melissa groans and then smiles. "Alright, I guess you can somewhat be a good leader."
"Better than you, correct?" Bori wanted to make sure.
Melissa gives him a light jab to his right shoulder. "Don't push your luck." She, JJ, and Fenton head to the gold tent.
Elsa walks towards the rich kid. "Just because you won the second challenge for us today doesn't make you more arrogant and lazier."
"Pfft, I know that, but don't expect me to do stuff I dislike," Boris told her.
"Wasn't planning on it, just wanted you to know not to get this win over your head," Elsa simply stated.
"Very well," Boris complied. "To the arcade center?"
Elsa gets confused. "Now? You have been wanting to get a massage and good food for a while."
"We have two to three days for that," Boris told her, fine with waiting. "Besides, I want to sharpen my skills to finally beat you in a match."
Elsa smirks at him. "You have a lot to learn then."
The two head to the arcade center while the Sleek Slushies head to the brown tent. They did not win, but they do not have to vote out a player. Though, Axel seems the only one unhappy with the results.
Confessional – Axel – Sleek Slushies
"I'm starting to dislike second place. I don't get the luxury food or vote a person I want gone. I'm making sure my team doesn't get second ever again."
End Confessionals
Before Tamera can enter the brown tent, Caleb pulls her over and takes her to the back of the shelter. The handsome genius then let go of her.
"What were you thinking today?" Caleb told her, trying not to raise his voice.
"You told me to mess with the Power Poppers," Tamera answered him with annoyance.
"Yes, but you stole the recipe and I told you not to mess with our team from now on," Caleb prompted.
Tamera's eyes widen with surprise. "Wait, how did you know that?"
"While you were admiring yourself as we waited for the judges, Garry told everyone on the team you stole the recipe," Caleb answered.
The vixen gasps. "Garry? I completely forgot he was on the team." She slaps her forehead with her right hand. "Ugh, I made sure to take the recipe when no one is looking but he slipped through me."
"And thanks to that, you're now target number one," Caleb made her realize the mistake she committed. He begins walking away.
"Wait, help me out of this predicament," Tamera pleaded. She gasps again, what is this emotion she is feeling?
Caleb stops but does not turn around to face her. "Help you? You're just going to drag me down in the grave you dug yourself. I told you to stay low. You want to make it far to give yourself more screen time, then play the game right." After saying this, he walks away for good.
Confessional – Caleb – Sleek Slushies
"I can mess with the heads of my other teammates when the time comes. Tamera is a lost cost. I'm not working with someone who purposely puts a target on her back. Who am I working for, Heather? My teammates are not as stupid as the Gophers to let her stay in the game."
Confessional – Tamera – Sleek Slushies
"Ugh, why can't I just not cause problems?" The vixen said. "Doing them in school is fun, but here I cannot enjoy myself."
End Confessionals
Buford and Jett are walking around the carnival. The former has his hands in the pockets of his black shorts while the latter is adjusting his beanie.
"We're voting for Gabriel, right?" Jett asked Buford, making sure the tall dude will vote with him.
"We?" Buford questioned.
"Yeah, remember our deal?" Jett retold.
"I remember that, but I'm not voting for Gabriel," Buford told him.
The two stop walking and look at each other.
"Why not?" Jett asked, narrowing his eyes on him.
"We made a deal not to vote for each other, we never promised voting with each other," Buford pointed out.
"Then who are you voting for?" Jett asked.
"Sua," Buford answered. "I like the girl, but she did accidentally cost us the challenge. Plus, keeping a pain magnet like that is asking for trouble."
"But aren't you tired of being told what to do by him," Jett referred to Gabriel.
Buford chuckles. "Dude, what's your deal with him? He's a good person."
"That's what he wants everyone to think," Jett said.
Buford rolls his eyes. He picks up a rock and tosses and water fountain nearby. The rock splashes into the water. The tall dude looks back again at the runaway.
"Look dude, if you want to secure yourself from leaving then why don't we make another arrangement?" Buford suggested.
"Secure me? You're not exactly Mr. Popular on the team," Jett told him. Both are in a pickle. Both know they have people on the team that will vote for them. Question is, will they continue their deals? Creating perhaps an alliance in the future?
"You have plenty of time to decide if you want to deal with me," Buford said and walks away. He knows he can be a target, but he wants to make sure he and Jett are at even levels. Neither can have power over the other.
The scene changes, showing Buford heading to the photo booth. Gabriel approaches him.
"Hey Bo, you got a minute?" Gabriel asked.
"Sure, don't mind at all," Buford answered smiling. He puts his left foot up and leans his body on the photo booth. "What do you want to talk about?"
"I was thinking that we can vote out Jett," Gabriel told him.
"Hmm? Why is that?" Buford wondered, doing a poker face.
"I was thinking going for Sua since she cost us the challenge, but I think Jett is going to be problematic for the team if he stays," The politician explained.
"So, you're thinking of the team and not voting him off because you dislike him?" Buford asked.
"It's true he and I don't get along in his end. However, think about it. Do we want a guy that is going to break a few rules that can cost us a challenge? Like almost what happened in the target game," Gabriel enlightened.
"I'll think about it," Buford said. He has to think about his decision more.
"Alright, if not Jett, then go for Sua. For the team," Gabriel spoke.
Confessional – Buford – Power Poppers
"Well, this is interesting. Gabriel wants me to vote for Jett, but I promised Jett I am not going to vote for him at this elimination ceremony. Do I backstab the dude? It's tempting, but I need to keep thinking about this choice. He has Lisa in his hands and gives me an extra hand in case I want someone out. Even though is sickening he is just using her for just a vote. Teaming up with Gabriel can work, but then I'm left more vulnerable. What do I do?"
End Confessionals
It is night, and the Power Poppers arrive at the Calamity Ceremony. The girls are in the top row and the boys are in the bottom row of the two-level bleacher. Their team's symbol appears on the screen.
From left to right for the girls are Lilith, Sua, and Lisa. From right to left for the boys are Buford, Jett, Gabriel, and Maverick.
Chris and Chef are standing next to two lamp posts illuminating them. Chef is holding a plate with six popcorn bags on it.
"Power Poppers, welcome back to your second elimination ceremony," Chris informed the team. "You seven know the drill by now. Before you all vote, let me provide some insight. Lilith, some people on your team do not like the creepy questions you ask constantly."
"Wait, they don't?" Lilith realized.
"Sua, you kind of cost your team the cooking challenge by accidentally getting your hair stuck in the floss head."
Sua sighs and frowns.
"Buford and Jett, you two are not exactly the most welcoming people on the team."
The two boys shrug. They already figured that out.
"Gabriel, despite being a positive influence in your team, you have a made an enemy and have not been doing well as a leader in some certain aspects."
"Wait, I'm not?" Gabriel asked Chris, but the host ignores him.
"Lisa and Maverick, you two are probably the safest out of everyone," Chris finished. "All of you may now cast your votes."
Confessional – Lisa – Power Poppers
"You're okay, but I'm still voting for you." She writes a name on a piece of paper.
Confessional – Gabriel – Power Poppers
He is wondering whether he should vote for Sua or Jett.
Confessional – Jett – Power Poppers
"You better not blow this Buford," He said as he writes Gabriel's name on a piece of paper.
Confessional – Maverick – Power Poppers
"I haven't given my thoughts on who to vote for, but I kind of want to take charge of leading the team. But Sua and Jett are options to consider. I don't know."
Confessional – Lilith – Power Poppers
"Do I need to vote for Jett? I kind of want Buford gone."
End Confessionals
Chris finishes reding the votes and looks at the Poppers. "Alright, contestants with no votes are Maverick, Lisa, Lilith, and Buford."
Lilith looks disappointed that Buford got a bag of popcorn.
"Sua, Gabriel, and Jett. All of you have received at least one vote," Chris told the three. "The next marshmallow goes to…"

"Sua."
The idol gracefully catches her popcorn bag.
Jett looks confident, but still unsure if Gabriel will go home. Gabriel adjusts his shirt, beginning to sweat.
"Jett and Gabriel, there is only one popcorn bag left," Chris told the two boys. "Whoever does not receive the next bag will be heading to the lame-o-sine and can never come back, ever. The final marshmallow goes to…"

"No one, it's a tie!" Chris exclaimed, much to the shock of everyone. "Looks we will be finally having our first tiebreaker of the season."
Confessional – Buford – Power Poppers
"I voted for Sua. Didn't want to vote off Jett because he might blab about the deal we made. Neither wanted to vote for Gabriel. A tie is great. No matter who goes home, I still keep someone who will want to team up with me."
End Confessional
Chef is shown pushing two cotton candy maker machines on wheels toward Jett and Gabriel. The two boys stand up, each getting a cone by the cook.
"For this tiebreaker, you two will give me cotton candy on those cones. However, they cannot be your typical oval shape ones," Chris noted the two. "Both of you need to create a different shape. Like a square or triangle, or dinosaur. Whoever impresses me the most with their cotton candy design gets to stay in the game."
Jett and Gabriel quickly try to form a decent-looking different shape cotton candy. Their first try is the classic oval, so Chef gives each another cone to keep playing.
Jett comes up with an idea to make sure his opponent does not win. He tosses his grey beanie into the spinning head that Gabriel is using. The effect of this is that the beanie gets destroyed and the politician's cotton candy will have its pieces in it all over. A sacrifice he is willing to make to stay in the game.
"Seriously?" Gabriel said to Jett with disbelief.
"Well, considering no matter what shape he makes it will never look appetizing now," Chris said, already feeling a bit disgusted. "Jett gets to stay."
This immediately gets everyone except for Lisa to start complaining.
"Quiet maggots," Chef exclaimed at Power Poppers.
"That is unfair," Maverick told the two hosts.
"Yeah," Sua agreed.
"I'm calling bull on that," Buford stated.
"You said you wanted them to create a shape. Does it matter if it looks appetizing?" Lilith questioned the host.
"Yes, it does," Chris answered.
"I wouldn't be surprised if Niu sues the show for this foul play," Gabriel said, not happy with the results.
Jett shrugs, he does not care.
The mention of the goal digger makes Chris puzzle with nerves.
"Wait, did you say Niu?" Chris asked Gabriel for confirmation.
"Well, yeah, she still watches the show, right?" Gabriel wondered.
Chef can tell his partner is cursing to himself in his mind right now. They do not want Niu suing the show again. She is bound to find another loophole.
"Okay, since Jett sabotaged the tiebreaker. We're doing another one," Chris told the Power Poppers.
Majority cheer except for Lisa and Jett.
"What? He lost," Jett complained, pointing at Gabriel.
"Yeah, but by your methods, not the tiebreaker's one," Chris told the blonde. "And I can't have her win another case, so you're doing another tiebreaker with Gabriel. And I have the perfect one that will get tensions rising."
The scene changes to show Jett and Gabriel on top of a large golden pillar. Both are wielding a dueling stick. Next to the pillar on the ground are several mattresses put in place. Chris, Chef, and the rest of the Power Poppers are looking up at the two boys.
"For this second and final tiebreaker, one of you has to knock the other player out of the pillar by using your dueling stick," Chris told Jett and Gabriel. "The player that does this wins the tiebreaker and stays in the game. Begin!"
Suddenly, lightning is shown behind the two boys as a storm approaches. Thunder can be heard.
"I'm making sure your out of this picture," Jett told Gabriel. He swings his dueling stick at the politician.
Gabriel blocks it easy and pushes Jett back a bit. "Why are you so against me? What have I ever done to you?"
"Don't give me your speeches," Jett spoke with venom in his voice. He swings two times at Gabriel who blocks it. "You know what you are and what you want to become."
"A politician?" Gabriel said confused. This lets his guard so Jett can strike him in the stomach with the dueling stick. This pushes Gabriel back a few feet.
"Yes, and I'm not allowing a scumbag like you to stay in the game," Jett raises his dueling stick and gives a hard swing at Gabriel who blocks the attack again with his dueling stick.
Gabriel goes on the offensive and uses his dueling stick to push Jett back.
"I'm not like the others Jett. I know we get a bad reputation but I'm not them," Gabriel defended himself. "Have you ever seen me try and manipulate the system for my gain throughout our stay?"
"You're just messing with their heads to use them as tools. Every single one of you does it," Jett said. He rushes up to his opponent and gives out an onslaught of attacks, each one getting blocked. "What are you going to use the money for? Your stupid campaign?"
Gabriel finds an opportunity to push his adversary once again farther away. Jett is almost at the edge of the pillar.
"It's going to be used for charity," Gabriel answered.
"Concentrate Jett don't let your anger blind you," Lisa advised her crush.
"Take him down Gabriel, stop playing defense," Lilith directed.
Gabriel takes the goth's advice. Jett is near the edge; he has to push harder. He runs towards the runaway to give a big swing.
Jett blocks with his dueling stick. As the two sticks collide, lightning strikes in the background.
"Come on, hit me. You know you want to do," Jett said. "Hit me, hit me!"
Gabriel is conflicted. He needs to win, but he does not want to hurt his teammate, no matter how much his opponent hates him.
Jett, sensing his struggle gets the upper hand and pushes Gabriel back. He then uses his dueling stick to swing hard and hit Gabriel's face.
The Power Poppers flinch from witnessing that attack.
"That's got to hurt," Chris commented. Chef nods.
Gabriel wipes spit from his lip with his right wrist. "This is over."
With one swing, he knocks Jett's dueling stick out of his hands. The dueling stick falls near the Power Poppers. Lightning strikes and thunder roars.
Gabriel whacks Jett on the head with his dueling stick, then the blonde's stomach, and lastly pushes back his opponent to a ledge of the pillar.
Jett breathes in and out as he watches Gabriel approach him.
"Scumbag? Hypocrisy much?" Gabriel called out. "You're the one who's been foul playing since the start." He raises his dueling stick to unleash a final strike, but Jett dodges it.
"I need to do what I must do to survive this game. Can't trust anyone," Jett said through gasps.
"If you can't trust anyone then how can you trust yourself?" Gabriel wondered as he goes for another swing, only for it to get dodged a second time.
"I know your true colors," Jett spatted.
Gabriel sighs, there is no point trying to convince him to see differently. "As do I." He readies one more swing, but Jett immediately headbutts his head. The politician exclaims in pain, putting his right hand on his forehead.
Lisa notices Jett's dueling stick. She grabs it and looks up. There is no way her crush is going to win without this.
"Jett, catch," The poet called out and throws the dueling stick as far and high as she can at her crush.
Jett catches it and goes for a clean strike against Gabriel, sending his opponent back a bit. Chef and Chris are eating popcorn, loving the show.
The two boys continue to strike each other, but each hit connects with their dueling sticks.
"You need to learn how life works," Jett told Gabriel.
"There's more to life than constantly running from it," Gabriel countered.
The two seem evenly matched. Neither one giving up this chance to stay in the game.
"Tell me Jett, is all this trouble you do is necessary? Do you think you will get the money?" Gabriel questioned. He pushes Jett back and goes for a few swings, having them all blocked.
"Yes, I'm sure of it," Jett answered.
"Will you be satisfied with it?" Gabriel questioned once more.
Jett stops fighting and begins to analyze the question. Is he truly happy doing damage and potentially hurting others?
"I wish I could help you, but I need to stay in the game," Gabriel admitted, preparing his strike. "Sorry for this."
Jett watches the swing and kicks Gabriel's right leg, causing the politician to stop his attack and groan in pain.
"I'm sorry too," Jett apologized before striking Gabriel, sending his opponent and dual-stick with enough force off the pillar.
Gabriel screams until landing on a mattress. "These are not soft."
Buford, Sua, Lilith, and Maverick quickly help him out. Jett leaps from the pillar onto a mattress.
"Jett, congrats on staying in the game dude," Chris congratulated the winner, offering the last popcorn bag.
Jett sneers and slaps the bag away. The popcorn is now spilled all over the floor. He walks away from the Calamity Ceremony. Lisa follows him.
"Geez, thought he would be happier," Chris admitted.
Confessional – Jett – Power Poppers
He is banging his head inside the photo booth. He stops doing it to talk. "Can't believe I let him get into my head. Was he right? Am I wrong? Is he actually a good person? Ugh, I beat him, but why do I feel awful at the same time?"
End Confessional
Gabriel is standing with his previous teammates. All five hug each other.
"I'm going to miss you all," Gabriel said happily. "I'll be rooting for each of you."
"It's sad you have to go like this," Lilith admitted.
The five stop hugging and separate.
"Yeah man, you're a pretty chill dude," Buford told.
Maverick and Sua share one last first bump with Gabriel. Chef walks up to the eliminated contestant.
"It's time," Chef said.
The cook and Gabriel head to the entrance to the carnival. The politician gives one last wave of goodbye to his team.
"Well, considering what just happened. It seems like we need a new leader," Lilith told Buford, Sua, and Maverick.
"Who can that be?" Sua asked the goth.
"I think Maverick should take charge," Lilith answered.
"What? Me? But none of you have seen me leading the team," Maverick pointed out. Sure, he knows he can lead, but he wants to make sure his teammates are okay with it.
"Can't be worst than putting Jett or Lisa in charge," Buford spoke honestly.
"We know you can pull this team back together," Lilith told Maverick with a genuine smile.
"Power Poppers," Sua exclaimed joyfully, putting his left hand in the middle of their circle.
Buford, Lilith, and Maverick put their hands on top of Sua's.
"Power Poppers," The three exclaimed at the same time.
"I won't let nobody down," Maverick promised.
Chris is shown eating some cotton candy. He swallows his food and looks at a camera to end the episode.
"There goes Gabriel. Will Maverick lead the Power Poppers to victory? What kind of emotions Jett is going through? Will Axel continue to try and eliminate Caleb or Tamera? When will Marty show Meredith the picture he took? Can Melissa and Boris finally get along? Find out next time on Total… Drama… Carnival Calamity!"

At the Lame-o-sine, Gabriel is inside sitting in the back.
"Well, besides my jaw feeling numb, I say this was a nice experience," Gabriel admitted.
"You are the third person eliminated," Rosalina the limo driver told him bluntly.
"Okay yeah, I guess I could have done better. Thought I could make it at least to the final five. Still, my time was short. But at least I got to know cool people and become friends with them," Gabriel said positively.
"Better keep thinking that way, I heard one of the aftermath hosts is good at getting the juice out of people. If you know what I mean," Rosalina stated.
"I… do not," Gabriel said sincerely.
Korean Translation:
뜨겁고 뜨겁습니다 - Hot, hot
Author's Note: Gabriel is the third person eliminated. He has the skills of a leader, but his team was starting to realize he might not have been the best fit leading the Power Poppers. So, he was the first one to fall to an antagonist. I initially had him go at the cotton candy tiebreaker, but I wanted to show the reason why Jett dislikes him so much. That is where the second tiebreaker comes into play.
