Teams

Cotton Crazies: Buford, Maverick, Axel, Sua, Lisa, Lilith, Tamera, and Hilda

Nutty Nachos: Boris, Fenton, Caleb, Garry, Melissa, JJ, Elsa, and Kylie

Warning: Minor self-harm during mirror maze scene. Skip if you want to.

Chris is at the entrance to the carnival, ready to talk about the events that took place in episode nine.

"Last time on Total Drama Carnival Calamity, the three teams had fun at a carousel ride. Well, only the Sleek Slushies until they were no longer Slushies. That's right, I split the team up to only have two teams now. Cotton Crazies and Nutty Nachos. Second phase baby!"

"The two newly formed teams then competed against each other in arcade games to determine the superior team. The Nutty Nachos started strong with JJ and Elsa dominating their opponents. Maverick scored the first point for his team despite Melissa's competitiveness consuming her. Boris and Caleb kept the Nutty Nachos in the first place. This left Sua and Meredith to pull through in their matches. It was in vain however as Jeremy pulled through for the Nutty Nachos, getting their first win."

"After some manipulation from Caleb, Lisa rigs the votes to send Meredith packing. Taking revenge on Buford for eliminating Jett."

Chris ends the narration. Flashbacks finish as well. The host is shown at what appears to be an entrance to a candy maze. The entrance is an arc bush with one large candy cane on each side like they are streetlights.

"Sixteen contestants remain, which contestant will say bye-bye to the chance of winning five million dollars? Find out now on Total… Drama… Carnival Calamity!"

The episode starts at the gold tent where the Nutty Nachos are enjoying their breakfast as Melissa gets a massage from a female intern. Boris and Elsa are nowhere to be seen. The symbol of the Nutty Nachos appears on the screen.

"Oh yeah, that's the spot," Melissa moaned, laying on her stomach on the acupressure table as the intern massaged her back. "Keep going."

Fenton and JJ are shown at the eating table. They have finished their meals since there is nothing on the plate.

"Hey JJ, I need some advice," Fenton told his teammate.

JJ smiles, she forms her right hand into a thumbs up while putting the palm of her left hand under the right. Then she turns her left hand into a thumbs-up as well and puts both formed hands together. She rubs her right thumb as if she is cleaning a cup with a towel, pointing at her then at Fenton, and then at her again.

Subtitles are shown on the screen since she is going to be using sign language. 'How can I help you?'

"Okay, Melissa and I talked a few days ago. She told me that I haven't been performing that well. Is that true?" Fenton asked.

JJ knows the athletic nerd has a point but does not want to be too harsh on her teammate. So, she uses her right hand to make a so-so gesture by flipping her hand back and forth.

"I guess I am doing poorly, aren't I?" Fenton acknowledged. "She told me the only way I can get over being indecisive is try to lead again, but she doesn't want me to. Plus, she called me cute. Does that mean she likes me, or she did that as a compliment?"

JJ taps both index fingers and thumbs together. Then she points at Fenton. Next, she extends her hands as if she is holding something then brings them closer to her. Third, she closes her right hand while covering her thumb with her right index finger. Then she shapes her rind hand like the letter O. Finally, she connects her hands to make it look like a wall and slides to her right.

This all translates to 'Do you want to lead?'.

"I never want to lead again, but because Melissa is preventing me from trying I kind of want to go at it again. This feeling is weird," Fenton admitted, scratching his chin a bit. "I almost always follow someone's command but now I want to show Melissa I can lead. Is this how she feels when getting competitive?"

JJ once again communicates in sign language. She repeats the first two steps she asked from her previous question. Then she does the 'eight' handshape around her chest. Which is having all fingers up except for the middle finger since it will be touching the thumb. Lastly, she uses her right hand as a stop sign and pushes it a bit.

This translates to, 'do you like her?'.

"I guess she's cute herself, but I don't know," Fenton said unsure. "I didn't sign up to get with someone. Actually, I didn't even sign up. My mother was the one who sent my application and made the audition tape without me noticing."

JJ closes her right hand into a fist while having her thumb on her middle finger and index finger in the form of a pirate hook. Next is pushing her right hand like a stop sign again. Then she covers her left hand with her right and takes out her left hand as if she is taking it out of a box. Fourth is her hand forming the letter a in sign language. Which is showing her palm, closing her fingers, and having her thumb to the side. The clown forms both hands into an O with both index fingers raised. She then taps her hands together twice.

'Ask her out on a date' is what the subtitles are shown on the screen.

"You sure?" Fenton asked skeptically. "I guess if I and Melissa start dating, she'll let me lead. But that kind of sounds like I'm manipulating her."

JJ does the so-so gesture once again.

Confessional – Fenton – Nutty Nachos

"I guess asking Melissa out can turn out great. Now the question is how do I ask her?" Fenton ponders. "I still feel like I'll be manipulating her. I don't know, maybe I will start liking her more than a friend."

He then remembers something. "Oh, JJ wrote me down pretty much everything that comes to sign language. I remember things quite easily so that's why I'm able to understand her. My mom said it is called photographic memory."

End Confessional

On the other side of the table is Caleb, Kylie, and Garry finishing up their meals. The handsome genius decides to start a conversation.

"Hey, I got this awesome idea that you two have to hear," Caleb said to them.

"Sure dude, go ahead," Garry politely insisted.

Kylie nods as she is swallowing the eggs in her mouth.

"There's three of us from the former Sleek Slushies on this team while there are five that were in the Fried Freaks," Caleb calmly spoke. "If they team up, they can vote all of us out of the game."

"What are you suggesting?" Kylie wondered, done swallowing the eggs.

"We make an alliance. A Slushie alliance if you prefer to call it that," Caleb suggested. "We three stick together and make sure our teammates don't try to pick us off."

"I thought we were already in an alliance?" Garry reminded the handsome lad, feeling a bit confused. "Didn't we make one when you wanted to…"

"Shut up Freddy," Caleb interrupted the uninteresting dude.

Kylie raises her left eyebrow for a moment, curious why the blondish brown hair dude told Garry to be quiet immediately. Nevertheless, she stops thinking about it to ask a question.

"Us three will vote for the same person we want gone, right?" Kylie enquired.

"Of course, we Slushies have to stick together," Caleb guaranteed the cheerleader. "You're in?" He and Kylie decide to seal the deal by doing a handshake.

"Woohoo!" Garry cheered.

"Shush!" Kylie and Caleb said at the same time while putting their left index finger on their lip.

Confessional – Caleb – Nutty Nachos

"Knowing how those freaks work and obtaining Kylie in the alliance gives me guaranteed success on making it to the merge. Now I just need to figure out who should go home in case my team loses." He then looks at the camera for a few seconds.

"Of course I remember the deal I made with Dairy. But I'll make sure to have my way."

Confessional – Garry – Nutty Nachos

"I wonder why Caleb didn't want me to talk about the deal with Kylie. Does she not know?" He shrugs. "Oh well, none of my business."

Confessional – Kylie – Nutty Nachos

"I've watched this show before and can guarantee that alliances don't work out in the end. Even Yves and Knick at one point almost broke their partnership."

She sighs and crosses her legs. "Despite that, I'm glad Caleb brought me into an alliance. I could use the extra help. I'm not enemies with anyone on the team but you can't be too careful. This show is full of surprises."

End Confessionals

The Cotton Crazies are at the brown tent, and everyone is eating their gruel at the table. Some are faster than others. The team's symbol appears on the screen.

Buford finishes his meal.

"How sloppy was that gruel? Like your gameplay," Lisa snarked at Bo.

"What is your deal?" Buford asked. "Because I'm starting to get the feeling you did something to get Meredith out of the game."

"Oh wow, the person that likes Jett somehow is responsible for your girlfriend's elimination," Lisa sarcastically retorted. "Get over it. She got voted off and is now gone."

"Like how you got over Jett's elimination?" Buford countered. "Why don't you take your own advice? Oh, that's right you're a poet. You only criticize other people in your poetry and not yourself."

Lisa and Jett's teammates notice the tension between them, making their breakfast a bit awkward and hard to swallow.

"If only we can blame someone to finish this conversation," Tamera added, wanting to increase the drama.

"Tamera, we are not supposed to encourage more arguing," Hilda scolded the vixen. "We have to bring this into a compromise."

Tamera looks away from the opera singer and huffs.

"You're one to talk about with such a big mouth," Lisa retorted back to Bo.

"Truth hurts," Buford simply said.

"You two, stop," Maverick firmly. "All of us know both of you lost someone you like from the game. Just plan to vote the other one out whenever we lose again. It's a competition."

Lisa and Buford stop talking but narrow their eyes at each other.

"All of us also want to eat our breakfast peacefully," Axel added, mixing his gruel a bit, losing a bit of his appetite.

Suddenly, Chris McLean arrives inside the brown tent. "Good morning Crazies."

"Surprising to see you here," Lilith bubbly admitted. "You usually announce challenges through the speakers."

"Or sending an intern to get us," Sua added. She accidentally pokes her right eye with her spoon. "Ow."

"Oh, I'm not here to declare the challenge. I just need to talk with Miss Gan," Chris told the drummer. "Privately."

Lisa gets up from her chair and walks towards the host. The two then head outside the tent.

Tamera gets up from her chair to eavesdrop but sits back down once she sees the disappointed look from Hilda.

Confessional – Axel – Cotton Crazies

"Looks like Tamera is still being her usual self. That's fine, after failing to get her eliminated again the last ceremony I'm going to settle with a different approach. From now I'm going to vote for the teammate that performs the worst in the challenge. That way Hilda can maybe convince Tamera to help with the votes."

He sighs. "Believe me, having to rely on her hurts my stomach. However, there's no point taking her out yet when there's another drama going on."

End Confessional

Lisa and Chris are standing next to the dark green tent, where the showers are.

"Okay Lisa, we need to discuss you breaking the Knick clause in your contract," The host told the poet.

"Wait, that actually exits?" Lisa admitted perplexed. "I thought that was just a joke."

"This show never jokes about contracts," Chris told her seriously while having his hands behind his back. "You broke the clause since it states that no contestant, host, and or intern can rig the votes during a ceremony. If one does, it counts as immediate disqualification."

Lisa gasps in horror as irritation takes over her. "Seriously!? You're going to take me out of the game just like that?"

"You didn't let me finish," Chris answered, having a smug expression. "I was going to disqualify you, but an editor came to me and showed footage of Meredith having an illegal alliance with Lucy. So, since you cheated a cheater, I can say that the rigging is justified."

"That means I don't have to leave the show?" Lisa asked, sounding a bit excited.

"Yep, just letting you know not to do the same stunt again," Chris warned. He then shouts to the sky, having his hands near his cheeks. "In your face Niu!"

Confessional – Lisa – Cotton Crazies

"While I was annoyed that I could have been disqualified, I can't deny enjoying it later on. It's a bit hard without Jett being here. But since I'm staying, I am making sure Buford leaves for good. Is what Jett would want."

She adjusts her scarf and beret a bit. "Also, Meredith was in an illegal alliance. That's definitely going to be useful. I'll keep that in mind when the time is right."

End Confessional

Boris and Elsa are shown inside the arcade center, finishing playing skee-ball. Both check their scores. The rich kid won by fifty thousand points.

"Yeah, skee-ball is not my forte," Elsa joked.

"Looks like its time to train you with my skills instead of you guiding me with all these videogames," Boris smirked proudly.

"Easy prince, I dominate most of this arcade," Elsa reminded. Most of the games in the center do use an electronic screen.

Each of the two walks away from the skeeball section and sits on a race car arcade machine seat.

"I've been giving some thought about the team we're in," The rich kid told the gamer.

"Oh, what are those?" Elsa wondered.

"Now that there's eight of us, you should try your best to become friends with them," Boris suggested.

"And why not you?" Elsa questioned.

Boris chuckles. "That was a good one. I have no patience to play pretend with those of the middle class. Seriously, those three have poor taste in clothing," Boris answered smiling.

"So, I'm just supposed to be friendly with them?" Elsa wanted to be sure, ignoring the comment the blonde gave. "Feel like there is more to it."

"Obviously," Boris responded rudely.

"Oh majesty, continue with your intelligent dialect," Elsa sarcastically spoke.

Boris glares at her but then stops to continue conversating. "We have three new team members and three from when we were as the Fried Freaks. Eventually, we will have to decide which side to take to gain power on the team."

Elsa processes everything that was said to her. "Which side should we take though? JJ and Melissa still don't like you, yet we have no idea what our new teammates are capable of."

"Exactly, we should wait a bit before deciding," Boris recommended. "I just wanted to tell you this since we're close."

"How close?" Elsa enquired with a smirk.

"Close enough for me to show some respect towards you," Boris responded. "Next time we meet get some better clothes. You remind of that kid from a show that kept speaking to the audience for twenty seconds."

Confessional – Elsa – Nutty Nachos

"Gosh he's so annoying," Elsa admitted. "Every sentence coming out of his mouth is almost an insult. Why do I enjoy that for some reason?"

Confessional – Boris – Nutty Nachos

"The closer Elsa and I make it to the merge, the harder this game is going to get. I need allies to dump quickly so I can stop being targeted so much by my exquisite taste. There might be a situation where I need Melissa's help, but that's just a passing thought."

End Confessionals

Buford is shown heading to the Bargaby Bludiddle Hut to chat with Lucy.

"You there Lucy?" Bo called.

The detective in training pops up from the Hut, holding a bunch of tickets in her arms. She puts the tickets down on the counter and moves them to the side to conversate.

"Surprise to see you here again," Lucy admitted. "Where's Meredith? She hasn't appeared here lately."

"Before I answer that, what's with the pile of tickets?" Buford inquired to know.

"My intern pals thought it would be funny to make the arcade machines' ticket passage useless for the last challenge," Lucy answered. "Now Chris put all of us in charge of doing whatever we want with these tickets."

"And what are you going to do with them?" Buford asked.

"I'll think about that later," Lucy told. "Now, where's Meredith?"

Buford frowns. "She got eliminated."

"Wait, what?" Lucy exclaimed with surprise. "How?"

"That's the issue, I don't know how," Buford confessed. "But I do know Lisa is responsible."

"Did she know you two were together?" Lucy asked.

"I thought she didn't but turns out she did," Buford answered.

"Did anyone know about you two together that could have told Lisa?" Lucy wondered.

Buford tries to remember if he had a conversation with her girlfriend explaining that. His eyes widen. "Meredith told me Marty, Kylie, and Caleb knew. Marty was gone by the time this happened. I bet is Kylie or Caleb. Going with the latter."

"If Caleb told Lisa, how would she be able to accumulate many votes?" Lucy told the tall dude.

"Accumulate? Wow, you have been hanging around too much with Scarlett," Bo joked.

The DIT narrows her eyes at him.

"Okay geez, I guess Lisa was able to convince the girls to vote her off," Buford spoke. Wait, he remembers Lilith saying she voted for him. The votes do not add up unless…

"She rigged the votes," Buford realized then forms a scowl. "She freaking rigged the votes."

The speakers throughout the carnival turn on. Chris's voice is heard. "Attention campers, meet me at the Candy Cane maze in thirty minutes." The speakers turn off.

Confessional – Lucy – Intern

"I would love to help Buford get rid of Lisa, but I sadly cannot assist for two reasons. I am very close to getting access to the Ringleader's lab and Meredith knew the consequences of teaming up with me. Maybe there's another way. I'm not going to let Lisa pull my ex-boyfriend's stunt and get away with it as he did."

End Confessional

The Cotton Crazies, Nutty Nachos, and Chris are now at the entrance of the candy cane maze. Each team symbol appears on the screen. Lilith, Caleb, Axel, and Melissa look inside a bit without passing the starting line to see the maze is made of bushes with giant gumdrops and candy canes on them.

"Cotton Crazies and Nutty Nachos, welcome to today's first and only challenge," Chris told the contestants.

"Shouldn't be too hard then if it is just one challenge," Hilda told her teammates.

"Great, now you jinxed us," Buford spoke honestly.

"Hilda might have a point," Chris admitted.

"No way it can be easy," Kylie interrupted. "I bet there are electrical wires on the bushes to make sure we don't take shortcuts."

"You know me so well," Chris told the cheerleader smiling. "But yeah, it's an easy challenge. Each team must go through three mazes. The first one is right here. The Candy Cane maze. Then once you find the exit you will enter the house of mirrors, which various interns put into the maze. After that is the pumpkin patch maze. The first team to have all their teammates cross the last maze wins the challenge. However,"

"Knew there was a catch," Caleb proudly said.

"Oh wow, is not like it was super obvious," Lisa snarked.

"Chef, a few interns, and a surprise cameo guest will be trying to stop all of you in your tracks," Chris warned. "You also want to make sure not to get into dead ends. Those will cost a lot. Remember, time is key here as well as sticking together."

"Sweet," Lilith exclaimed. "When do we start?"

"When I say go," Chris stated.

It takes a few seconds for the cast to realize he already said the word and head off into the maze. Once the host sees everyone out of his sight he chuckles and looks at the audience.

"Forgot to mention there will be traps along the way," Chris said then chuckles some more. "Thank you, Scott, Shawn, and Pharaoh."

The Cotton Crazies and Nutty Nachos are shown racing each other. The maze is divided by bushes full of candy canes or gumdrops. Melissa, Buford, Maverick, Axel, Kylie, and JJ lead the pack of their respective teams.

They all come to a stop once they see a fork in the road.

"Left, or right?" Lilith asked Maverick.

"Right of left?" Caleb joked to Melissa.

"We'll take right because it's the right path," Boris stated.

"No," Melissa immediately the decision down. "We're taking left."

"You just want to oppose me even though I'm correct," Boris exclaimed.

"You are literally guessing which path to take," Melissa countered.

"Yeah, because you somehow magically know which path is good," Boris retorted.

"Don't care, this team is taking left," Melissa firmly spoke, ending the conversation.

"Uh Melissa, the Cotton Crazies already took left," Fenton pointed out. The Nutty Nachos see their rival team run into the left side.

"Looks like we're taking right after all," Elsa happily said.

Confessional – Melissa – Nutty Nachos

"If I wasn't concerned about sportsmanship, I would have sabotaged the team already to get rid of Boris. But unlike him, I play the game fair because it is the right thing to do."

End Confessional

The Cotton Crazies are running around the maze. Their team symbol appears on the screen. Sua and Maverick are in front running while the rest are walking fast.

"Hey you two take it easy," Buford told his teammates. "This is a race, but we also need to stick together."

"The quicker we pass the maze the better," Maverick told while still running. He stops once he sees a tripwire in front of him.

However, Sua does not see this and trips on the wire. She lands on a large pile of mud. Hilda and Axel quickly lift her from the mud. The idol looks at her pants and shirt, noticing various mud stains all over.

"It's fine, I have extras," Sua assured her teammates, keeping up her bright smile. They notice mud stains also around her face. Axel takes a handkerchief out of his left brown khakis pocket and wipes the mud off her face.

"Thank you," Sua expressed gratitude towards Axel.

"Is not an issue madam," Axel told the idol.

"Guess Chris forgot to mention about traps," Hilda told her team as she bends down to look at the tripwire.

"Or he didn't just to catch us off guard," Lisa proposed.

"Speaking of traps, what is deadlier? A conibear trap or leg hold trap?" Lilith asked her team happily.

"Ow!" Sua exclaimed with pain as her right leg gets trapped in the leg hold trap the goth was talking about.

"I'll give you that answer later," Maverick told his friend and goes to help Sua out.

"You think someone prone to get injure will take care of themselves better," Buford said to no one in particular. He just wanted to say what is on his mind.

Maverick can get Sua out of the trap. The idol limbs a bit to Mr. Keep it Real.

"I do take care of myself," Sua told him, still smiling but having annoyance in her voice. "These are… out of my control."

She walks away and lands into a pit trap that was covered in leaves. She screams until she lands on the ground.

"Can someone help me?" Sua begged. "There's a lot of bugs down here." Sounds of bugs are heard. "Ah! They're crawling on me!"

All her teammates look at the pit and watch her squirm. Normally Tamera will be content seeing someone get constantly hurt but this time she shakes her head side to side while showing a disappointed expression.

Confessional – Lilith – Cotton Crazies

"Maybe is best for me to not ask so many questions during challenges. There's sixteen of us so I imagine my teammates are taking the competition more seriously."

End Confessional

The Nutty Nachos are walking at a normal pace with Melissa in front. However, the majority of them are annoyed by someone's voice. This voice belongs to Boris.

"How long has it been?" Boris whined.

"Two minutes," Elsa stated bored.

"Are we there yet?" The rich kid complained.

"You have asked that ten times already," Kylie answered, looking tick off.

"Alright, I'm done," Boris told his team and sits down on the ground.

Everyone stops walking and looks at him.

"What are you doing?" Melissa wondered, getting tired of the dude's impatience. "Get up and walk."

"Nope, I refuse to sweat more and smell like a pig like all of you will do eventually," Boris spoke in an elegant tone.

"You cannot be serious," Garry said, shocked to see this happening.

"He is," Elsa replied deadpanned.

Caleb and JJ watch how this scene will play out.

"No, I'm done with this," Melissa told her team and walks away, continuing on the path of finding the exit out of the candy cane maze.

"Where are you going?" Fenton requested the athletic nerd.

"To find the exit," Melissa answered while walking forward.

"But all of us need to make it together," Elsa added.

Melissa stops to turn around. "Exactly, if Boris wants to have his butt sit on the floor all day until he gets voted out so be it." She then leaves her team.

The remaining teammates gaze once again at the blonde.

"Still not standing," Boris firmly said.

Elsa walks up to JJ. "You think you can get a sofa out of your wig?"

JJ sways her head side to side and closes her eyes.

"She means no," Fenton told Elsa. "Makes sense since that will be big to take out with just one hand."

"Wow, so there's actually a limit to what you take out," Kylie got into the conversation.

Caleb observes the maze and notices a trap that Melissa most likely passed. It is a swinging weight trap. Which consists of a tripwire that is connected to other ropes that hold two logs together from trees to hit the target. Instead of trees though, the logs are held by two large durable candy canes on each side of a bush.

"Hey JJ, by any chance you have a knife in that wig?" Caleb asked the clown.

Confessional – Caleb – Nutty Nachos

"I haven't said anything about this since we're in a challenge, but I'm still shocked Meredith went home. I thought Bo-beep or Tamera will go, but Lisa somehow managed to get rid of her. I don't know how, and I don't care. One less competitor to deal with."

End Confessional

The Cotton Crazies continue to walk together and see another fork on the road.

"Remember everyone, stick to the bushes that have candy canes on them. That should lead us to the exit," Maverick reminded. Considering this a maze, the team's best way to leave is to follow the candy canes. Hence why the maze is called after that.

"Hey Sua, feeling okay?" Lilith whispered to the idol with concern.

Sua not only has mud on her clothes, but leaves, twigs, a right foot that hurts, and most likely bugs crawling in places that she does not want to think. She is still keeping a smile. A rather force smile.

"Yes Lilith, I… am…. completely… fine," Sua answered the drummer slowly as she winces every time she speaks.

Lisa grabs Tamera's right arm for a moment to take her away from the team.

"You and I vote for Buford tonight if we lose, got it?" The poet whispered to the vixen.

An idea comes into Tamera's mind. "Sure, but you can only secure my vote if you vote off the person I want gone first," she whispered back.

Lisa rolls her eyes. Of course, someone will want to strike a deal in her desperation. "Fine, and don't try to backstab me." The poet's eyes widen when she sees a candy cane flying at her. "Duck!" She warned Tamera.

The two teens bend their knees to duck just in time for the candy cane to pass them. They look to the front and see their teammates dodging candy canes coming out from Chef's bazooka.

"Ho, ho, ho," Chef said, mimicking Santa Claus. "If you want to find the exit you got to pass through me." He continues to blast candy canes at everyone. He hits Hilda, Axel, Maverick, and Buford.

Sua tries to run past the cook. Chef notices her and blasts her. The candy cane hits her face while sending her back to a bush. Remember when it was mentioned the bushes have electrical wires? Yeah, those activate and electrocute the idol.

"고통은 갑자기 즐겁습니다," Sua exclaimed in Korean. She is still smiling even while getting zapped.

As the Cotton Crazies try to pass Chef, Melissa is still alone in the maze. She meets up with Noah. The bookworm is casually reading a book and sitting on a relaxing chair made of birch.

"I forgot Chris sent interns to stop us," Melissa admitted as she stands next to Noah. "So, what will I have to face?"

"Nothing," Noah stated as he reads his book.

"What? Can you repeat that?" Melissa kindly asked.

"I'm not going to stop you or anyone else," Noah dryly answered. "You all are going to pass me eventually so there's no point in trying."

"Um, alrighty then," Melissa said. Before she proceeds further, Fenton calls her name. The athletic nerd turns around to see her teammates.

Since Boris no longer wanted to walk, he is sitting on a log. Garry, Kylie, and JJ are carrying the log.

"You got to be kidding me," Melissa spoke unenthusiastically. "None of you couldn't leave him?"

"For someone who plays a team sport, you sure don't like being a team player," Elsa pointed out.

"One, I used to be on a team until I only stay on track. Two, none of my teammates acted like an arrogant jerk face," Melissa defended herself.

"Are you going to stop us?" Caleb asked Noah.

"Yeah, when I finish my book," The bookworm answered uncaringly. "I'm on page sixty-eight out of three hundred."

Caleb narrows his eyes at the dude before joining his team.

Back with the Cotton Crazies, they are still having trouble passing Chef and his barrage of candy cane attacks. Until a candy cane hits Lilith's face. This does not move her back or flinch.

Maverick gets an idea. "Everyone, behind Lilith!"

All his team does as instructed and gets behind the drummer. The order from behind Lilith goes as follows. Maverick, Lisa, Sua, Axel, Buford, Tamera, and Hilda. Then they push each other slowly.

"Choo choo!" Sua mimicked the sound of a train then cackles uncontrollably. This makes Axel uncomfortable.

Chef continues to blast candy canes at Lilith's face, but her endurance is too strong.

"That girl ain't human," Chef said with shock.

Everyone passes the cook and head out the candy cane maze.

"Well, that was fun," Chef admitted smiling. "I should be an obstacle for these kids more often."

As soon as the Cotton Crazies exit the maze, they notice the Nutty Nachos entering the house of mirrors. Not all of them get inside yet.

The house of mirrors' entrance consists of a giant size head of a clown with its mouth and tongue open to enter. To the sides are wooden walls painted in yellow and red. The clown also has the sign 'House of Mirrors' on its forehead.

JJ, Garry, and Kylie drop the log with Boris onto the ground gently.

"What is the meaning of this?" Boris wondered. "Carry me this instance."

"Your ride is done," Elsa told the rich kid. "There's bound to be air conditioning inside."

"But…"

"No, no more complaining. Appreciate the fact we didn't ditch you so you can end up being sent home," Elsa interrupted. "Let's go everyone, Fenton, Caleb, and Melissa are already inside."

The five Nutty Nachos enter the second maze with the Cotton Crazies following their trail.

Confessional – Boris – Nutty Nachos

"I tend to respect the backbone Elsa gives me. Unlike Melissa, for some reason."

End Confessional

Both teams are now walking around the house of mirrors, going through different hallways to find the exit. This feels harder than the previous maze since there are mirrors everywhere plus small spaces to walk through. It is also about to get tougher. A small blue hot air balloon is shown flying around the large spacious ceiling. Standing in the basket are two guys. One is Duncan while the other is the cameo guest.

He is six feet and two inches while being slender. Part of his short dark brown hair is tidy, combed to the left side while dyed cyan. His skin is pale and has icy blue eyes. He is wearing a formal white shirt with the top button undone with slim-fit black fancy trousers and shiny black shoes. Lastly, he has four silver rings and a cracked watch on his right arm.

"Yo Simon," Duncan said to get the jester's attention. "I see all of them have arrived."

"Awesome," Simon exclaimed looking around. "I take the Crazies and you take the Nachos?"

"Right on," Duncan agreed. The two high five. The delinquent grabs some water balloons which in this case are doom balloons and proceeds to throw them at the Nutty Nachos.

Before Simon can throw at the Cotton Crazies, he makes sure the burner of the hot air balloon is providing enough heat for the envelope. Duncan can hit Caleb, Kylie, and Garry, and Boris.

The balloon that hit Caleb pops out bees. Caleb screams in horror. "No, not my beautiful face!" He runs away from his teammates to try to get the bees to not follow him. Sadly, the bees already set him as their target.

The balloon that hit Kylie pops out itching powder. She scratches all over herself. "Gah, why did mine have to be itching powder?"

The balloon that hits Garry's hair pops and turns his hair blonde. "I'm sure someone is happy about this." He decides to help Kylie by scratching her back.

"Oh yeah, that's so nice," Kylie sighed tranquility. "Can you do that until the itching is gone?"

"Sure," Garry responded, not minding at all.

Boris probably gets the worse out of the four. His hair is covered in some feces that look like splats in the shades of black, brown, white, or gray.

"I will most utterly regret this, but what is on my hair?" Boris asked Elsa, Fenton, JJ, and Melissa.

"That's spider poop," Lilith answered, coming onto the scene. "They're small, but I can tell they are that."

"Alright, I'll be screaming now," Boris commentated and then shrieks. "Get this off of me!"

"JJ, go help our team and bring them back here," Melissa instructed the clown. JJ gives a salute then assists her teammates.

Melissa, Fenton, and Elsa look at themselves in a mirror. As JJ continues to help out her team in the background, they reflect on themselves.

Confessional – Melissa – Nutty Nachos

"Am I a good person? Yeah, but when I look at the mirror, I don't see… me." She frowns and covers her eyes with her hoodie. "Has the competition really gotten to me?"

Confessional – Fenton – Nutty Nachos

"Should I ask her out? Should I not? Is this a bad idea?" He ponders a bit. "Maybe I should get a flower and take out the pedals like people tend to do."

Confessional – Elsa – Nutty Nachos

"Sometimes I feel like asking Boris out, but I know he's just going to friendzone me." She snorts. "As if, he probably doesn't even consider me a friend in the first place."

End Confessional

Simon throws three doom balloons. One hits Buford, Maverick, Lisa, and Lilith.

The balloon that the gothic drummer gets hit with pops and reveals a snake with orange and black stripes. The snake also has yellow eyes with black pupils.

"Awe, you are so adorable," Lilith told the snake.

The snake looks at her weirdly. Why is she not intimidated by its presence? Lilith hugs the snake tightly. The creature looks like it is being choked.

"I'm going to call you Sally. Can you show me your venom?" Lilith asked.

Not knowing how to interact with this cuddliness the snake frees itself from the drummer's grip and slithers away.

"Was I too upfront?" Lilith asked her teammates but sees some of them caught in circumstances.

Buford's face is covered in green slime, "Ugh, it's in my eyes, my eyes!"

Maverick has baby powder on his face and starts sneezing uncontrollably. A bluebird is pecking Lisa's head.

Tamera laughs at the three's misfortune until getting hit by a balloon. Once it bursts it creates static electricity on the vixen.

"Oh come on, how did that even make sense?" Tamera exclaimed. She looks at herself in a mirror. This is not a regular mirror. It is a funny one that makes people look big. "No way I look that fat."

Hilda and Axel decide to help out their teammates so they can escape the second maze. While they do this in the background, Sua checks herself in a mirror.

She sees her reflection. Covered in mud, dirt, grass, candy cane pieces on her face, black marks from the electric fence. No matter what though she still keeps smiling. Even when the pain and constant goof ups are hurting her inside.

"I'm… fine," Sua told herself.

The mirror she is gazing at cracks. Does this mean bad luck? Is just a superstition, right? Seven years? Continuing to be a pain magnet? The idol begins to drop tears from her eyes. Even after all of this, she is smiling. However, she shows her teeth this time. Her smile feels more twisted.

The mirror continues to crack and just like the mirror, so does Sua. She covers her mouth with her right hand, but she cannot control it. She has to smile.

"After all, a smile can show so much of oneself," Sua told herself. She starts rubbing the mirror's cracks. She cuts a bit of her index finger and licks the blood with her tongue.

Confessional – Sua – Cotton Crazies

"Pain is what we need to grow to become better and stronger," The idol spoke joyfully. She looks at her hands. "Some however are stains. Do we let them get moldier or clean up our act?"

End Confessional

Somewhere around the house of mirrors, JJ is shown performing acrobatics to dodge the doom balloons being thrown by Duncan and Simon.

"Girl has skills," Simon admitted, looking dreamily at her.

Duncan slaps the back of his head. "Snap out of it dude and focus."

"Uh, right," The jester spoke.

JJ hides behind one mirror out of the hundreds there are to not be in boys' sight. She quickly thinks of an idea to take down the air balloon. She takes a blowgun out of her wig with her right hand while taking out a dart with her left hand. She puts the dart into the mouthpiece of the blowgun. Then she gets out of her hiding spot and blows the blowgun. The dart launches onto the hot air balloon and pops it.

"That's not good," Simon told Duncan, feeling scared. The delinquent nods, having a bad feeling about this.

The two scream as the popped hot air balloon flies all over the attraction until crashing down to the exit. Hearing the thud from the crashed vehicle, everyone heads to the sound. Those who were hit by a balloon no longer have the surprise on them thanks to their teammates.

"Suddenly I'm starting to dislike the color green," Buford admitted.

Maverick and Melissa see the exit and point at it at the same time. "Follow me!" They said at the same time.

Everyone follows the two into the pumpkin patch. Before JJ leaves Simon calls her name out.

"Call me," Simon told her as he demonstrates calling on a phone with his left hand.

JJ rolls her eyes but admires the jester's joke. She gives a quick pat on his head before leaving.

"Do you think I have shot?" Simon asked the intern.

"Dude, I'm the last person you want advice when it comes to romance," Duncan answered.

A new scene emerges with Lucy and Scarlett at the pumpkin patch. Scarlett is shown dressed as a witch. The outfit consists of a purple dress under a black robe and a witch hat.

"Weren't you supposed to dress up as a scarecrow?" Scarlett wondered; a bit disappointed.

"I don't wear costumes," Lucy told her. "Especially one that reminds me of an investigation I had to do about a scarecrow."

"What about cosplay?" The brainiac questioned.

"Isn't that the same?" The DIT thought.

Scarlett shrugs.

"Okay then, I suggest we split to find a team," Lucy decided, avoiding any awkwardness.

"That's the liveliest awareness you partake up in this unabridged diurnal," Scarlett insulted.

Lucy does not retort. Both begin walking away.

Nutty Nachos once again have to deal with Boris's complaining while traveling through the pumpkin patch.

"Once again we're outside walking around about to sweat," The rich kid spoke. "We should have kept the log. Also, JJ helped the Cotton Crazies be at the same distance as us."

"Gosh, do you even hear yourself?" Kylie pondered, having her hands cover her ears.

"JJ did not cost us the lead," Melissa told Boris. At this point, she is numb about the dude's complaining but she needs to defend her friend. "In fact, if it wasn't for her, we all will still be stuck in the house of mirrors."

"Well, I…"

"No one cares about your opinion dude and that's coming from me," Garry interrupted Boris.

Caleb watches all of this from the sidelines and smirks joyfully.

While the team keeps pace the Cotton Crazies are on another side of the pumpkin patch. Buford grabs Tamera's left arm and pulls her towards him to talk.

"Hey, you vote for Lisa tonight if we lose and I'll make sure you stay in the game as long as I can, okay?" Buford whispered to the vixen.

"Of course," Tamera happily agreed to the deal. "But you have to vote for the person I want gone first."

Buford mildly groans. "Fine, just don't be stupid and go back on this."

Confessional – Tamera – Cotton Crazies

"Guess this is one of the perks of being targeted so often. People will want to side with you to get rid of someone they want gone." She smirks. "Music to my ears. Feels like I'm finally getting back to not being a background character."

End Confessional

The symbol of the Nutty Nachos appears on screen as the team encounters Scarlett in front of them. There is a pile of pumpkins with faces on them behind the brainiac.

"You're approximately adjoining the finish contour," Scarlett stated. "But you have to…" She takes out a few pieces of paper from her witch hat and reads her script. "Defeat the wicked witch of the patch." She puts the papers back into her hat and throws a pumpkin at Melissa.

The athletic nerd easily dodges it. "You need to work on your aim. Might I suggest…"

Melissa is hit in the face with a pumpkin. The sticky pulp from inside the pumpkin starts to burn up her face.

"Ah, get it off!" Melissa exclaimed.

Scarlett throws pumpkins in random directions to make the Nutty Nachos run past her a harder task.

Confessional – Scarlett – Intern

She is cleaning her glasses. "Normally I'll be against a tactic such as randomization. However, because of my lack of throwing capabilities and needing to focus on one person is better to catch them off guard."

End Confessional

As Scarlett continues her strategy; Fenton and JJ huddle to come up with a plan.

"I have this idea," Fenton told the clown. "Saw this in a movie once. Can you get a bucket filled with water out of your wig?"

JJ looks at him strangely. Scarlett continues her onslaught. She now hits Elsa and Boris with pumpkins in their clothes.

"This is the worst day ever!" Boris proclaimed. "These clothes are authentic." He does not even care about the burning. Just his clothes.

"Authentic? You look like you're wearing fifty dollars of worth," Elsa admitted, trying not to scream from the burning sensation.

"How dare you," Boris muttered.

Fenton passes them while carrying a bucket filled with water. He throws the water at Scarlett, making her soaking wet.

"You're not melting," Fenton said, feeling a bit scared.

"Of course not you ignoramus," Scarlett exclaimed. "Did you actually think I was a witch?"

"Um…" Before the sidekick can answer the metal collar on Scarlett's neck malfunctions. The collar shocks her greatly as she groans in pain.

"Good job Fenton," Melissa congratulated her teammate. "Come on everyone let's go."

Confessional – Fenton – Nutty Nachos

"That felt pretty good," He confessed joyfully. "I will have to apologize to Scarlett after the challenge is done though."

End Confessional

Speaking of the brainiac, her collar is stuck shocking her until it short circuits. She can feel the collar opening and hear it fall to the ground. She takes a step back to see the object. She then picks it up with her right hand. A smirk forms on her face.

"Well, well, well, what a blessing in disguise."

Lucy makes it to a part of the patch where she is looking at a giant pumpkin on top of a pile of leaves and vines.

"They hid it again. Chris is really trying to cover this up," The DIT told herself. She rolls the pumpkin out of the way. Then she takes out the vines and leaves to reveal the wooden door on the ground with a lock that the Ringleader found in episode six.

Lucy bends down on one knee and takes a bobby pin out of her right blue jeans pocket. Then she unlocks the lock. She opens the wooden door and notices a ladder that most likely leads to the lab. However, it is dark since she is unable to see the bottom.

"Looks like I have to bring a flashlight with me," Lucy told herself.

"Okay everyone, this way," Maverick told his team off-screen.

Lucy quickly closes the door. She checks on the wagon with the pumpkins she brought just in case she encounters a team. The Cotton Crazies are fully shown. They stop once they see the detective in training staring at them.

"In another circumstance, I'll let you all pass," Lucy told. She takes a pumpkin with her left hand. "But since I have to keep my internship, this will be an exception."

Maverick immediately comes up with a plan. "Okay everyone, just like we did with Chef. Get behind…"

Sua rushes at Lucy, surprising everyone. The intern throws the pumpkin at the idol's face. Even though the pulp of the pumpkin is burning her face, Sua continues to run with adrenaline. She tackles Lucy to the ground.

"It feels so good," Sua told Lucy with crazy eyes. "Is like a special ointment for your skin. You should try some too."

She grabs a pumpkin from the wagon and throws it onto Lucy's face. Then another and another.

"I think that's enough Sua," Maverick told the idol with concern, but she does not listen. She continues to break the pumpkins on Lucy's face.

Everyone knows the situation is turning ugly. Hilda, Axel, and Lisa quickly grab her.

"Oh boy do I love hugs," Sua exclaimed ecstatically.

"닥치고 춤을 생각하십시오," Lisa spoke in Korean.

Whatever she told Sua seemed to calm the idol down. Lucy groans in pain on the ground.

"Why does this show always bring in the crazies?" Lucy wondered to herself.

Confessional – Lilith – Cotton Crazies

She looks confused and alarmed. "Since when has Sua been one enjoy hurting others?"

End Confessional

Chris and Chef are shown at the exit of the pumpkin patch.

"So, which team do you think is making it first?" Chris asked the cook.

"Nutty Nachos," Chef answered. "Want to bet on it?"

Chris is about to take some money out of his wallet until he sees the Nutty Nachos arriving. He closes his wallet. Chef sighs disappointedly. The Cotton Crazies are also getting in close, but the Nachos already have a lead and pass first.

"The Nutty Nachos win their second challenge in a row!" Chris announced.

The Nutty Nachos cheer. Some of the Cotton Crazies do not seem to mind losing. In fact, half of them seem excited to vote somebody off.

"Cotton Crazies, I'll see you tonight again at the calamity ceremony," Chris informed.

Confessional – Maverick – Cotton Crazies

He looks frustrated with the loss. "Three times in a row? I don't even know who to vote for with everything happening on my team. It feels like at this point we're just going to keep losing. This time it wasn't even because of all the tension. We just most likely took the longer path."

End Confessional

Boris and Elsa are inside the arcade center. Both are celebrating their team's win by drinking Crowstillo wine and playing Cap-Man. They hear the doors to the arcade open. They turn around to see Caleb.

"Hey," Caleb positively greeted. "Can I speak to you alone Boris?"

Boris and Elsa look at each other and smirk.

"Very well, I suppose you can give me some type of entertainment," The blonde answered.

"I'll be outside," Elsa told the boys and exits the arcade.

"Spill," Boris immediately told Caleb. He sips a bit of his glass of Crowstillo wine.

"I have noticed you're practically enemy number one on our team," Caleb spoke grinning.

"Tell me something I don't know," Boris rudely replied.

"I was thinking we team up. Just you and me in an alliance," Caleb offered. "I know you have Elsa and I have my own at the moment but having five is better than two or three. After all, the majority is what determines an outcome."

Boris finishes his wine. "Very well, the deal is made. Should we make a contract?"

"What are we businessmen?" Caleb joked. "We'll just shake on this."

Confessional – Caleb – Nutty Nachos

"If it isn't broken don't fix it." He laughs. "I'm practically doing the same thing I did with Tamera. Boris is a complete idiot not caring about how people perceive him. He's excellent to keep in the shadows. Then I'll dump him once he is no longer useful, like that bitch."

Confessional – Boris – Nutty Nachos

He chuckles with a smirk on his face. "I had a gut feeling Caleb will offer me a deal. Out of my new teammates, he is the least annoyed by my wonderful presence."

End Confessionals

JJ and Kylie are walking around the carnival booths and happen to stumble upon Fenton and Melissa talking in that area. They quickly hide inside a booth to hear the conversation.

"You're actually okay with this?" Melissa wanted the short boy to be sure. She is shown smiling and blushing.

"Um… yeah, let's have a date," Fenton confirmed. "A picnic will be nice. We will have to plan it though."

Melissa hugs Fenton tightly. "You are not going to regret this." She lets him go and leaves happily, still blushing madly.

Fenton looks unsure if this is the best decision. After Kylie and JJ hear this their eyes widen. What are they going to do about this?

Calamity Ceremony

It is night, and the Cotton Crazies arrive. The girls are in the bottom row and the boys are in the top row of the two-level bleacher. The team's symbol appears on the screen.

From left to right for the girls are Hilda, Tamera, Lilith, Sua, and Lisa. From right to left for the boys are Axel, Buford, and Maverick.

Chris and Chef are standing next to two lamp posts illuminating them. Chef is holding a flat silver plate with seven popcorn bags on it.

"Cotton Crazies, welcome back," Chris greeted the eight contestants. "Can't really mock any of you since this challenge was just mostly running and avoiding traps. So, you all may cast your votes."

Confessional – Axel – Cotton Crazies

"Is not much, but Hilda and I vote for Maverick. I know I said before I'll vote for the weakest team member during this challenge, but perhaps we need a new leader to take us to victory. Either I or Hilda will be fine. I told my other teammates as well but they are fixated on others. Doesn't matter, I voted for someone that is not Tamera and I'm happy."

Confessional – Lilith – Cotton Crazies

"I still want Buford gone so he has my vote. I was able to convince Sua but Lisa didn't want to for some reason. I guess she doubts that he will get eliminated tonight. Oh well, let's see who gets eliminated."

Confessional – Maverick – Cotton Crazies

"I vote for Tamera. An obvious vote I guess but Axel told me what she did in the Sleek Slushies, and I don't want a person sabotaging my team."

End Confessionals

"You all have cast your votes," Chris told the Crazies. "And I have to say, some interesting decisions made. Contestants with no votes are…"

"Lisa, Sua, Axel, and Lilith."

Chef tosses a popcorn bag to each of them. All four catch their bag.

"The next contestant safe is…"

"Tamera"

The vixen catches her popcorn bag.

"Buford, Maverick, and Hilda, there are only two popcorn bags left on this plate," Chris told the three as points at the plate Chef is holding.

All three of them look nervous. None of them want to be eliminated.

"Buford and Maverick."

Everyone gasps except for Buford, Lisa, and Tamera now that Hilda has been eliminated as the two boys catch their bag. Axel is the most distraught out of all of them. Hilda stands up.

"I don't understand, I thought I was getting along with everyone," Hilda admitted, feeling perplexed and sad.

"Can you just go already?" Tamera rudely asked the opera singer. "I'm finally done with your annoyance."

Axel stands, gets down from the bleacher, and gets in front of Tamera.

"You're the reason she got eliminated," The ruthless gentleman told the vixen. He is not angry but baffled. "After all she has done for you to try and be a better person."

"I've always been the better person," Tamera glorified herself. "I planned her elimination because I got sick of her."

"This play you made wasn't the best," Buford added.

"Did anyone ask for your opinion?" Tamera snapped at him.

Just then, Hilda hugs Tamera by her back.

"I normally don't do this, but I feel like you need one," Hilda told the vixen. "Just so you know, I did have fun spending time with you."

Hilda ends the hug and walks to Chef. A sudden feeling of regret develops inside Tamera.

Confessional – Tamera – Cotton Crazies

"That hug felt oddly warming," She admitted. Her eyes widen realizing what she did. "Did I just throw away my chance of having a friend?"

End Confessional

"A hug? You gave her a hug?" Axel questioned Hilda's decision as he follows her and Chef to the entrance of the carnival. "She is the reason you're going home in the first place!"

The three exit out of the carnival and stand close to the lame-o-sine. Hilda faces her friend.

"Even though my time was little with her, I know she seeks attention because she doesn't get much," Hilda told Axel. "Just wanted to show her that people do care about her without needing to create drama."

"You're too soft," Axel said as he crossed his arms.

"And you're too harsh," Hilda countered. "Where's the gentleman that I met when we got here? The one that holds the door. The one that says please and thank you."

Axel frowns and looks away from her friend.

"You look like you need a hug too," Hilda offered.

The two hug each other.

"Alright, enough of the heartwarming ending," Chef told the two and breaks them apart.

Hilda opens the back door of the lame-o-sine.

"I'm not promising to become friends with her," Axel stated.

"I know, but promise me you won't lose your way, okay?" Hilda kindly asked.

Axel is unsure if he can keep that promise. "I'll try my best."

Hilda gives him a sincere smile before entering the limo and closing the door. The gentleman watches the limo leaving.

"Well then," Chris said appearing on camera, scaring Axel in the process. "Another contestant has been eliminated. What decisions will Axel make now that Hilda is gone? Can Sua get more unstable? How will Fenton and Melissa's date go? Who will be the first to betray the other, Caleb or Boris? Find out next time on Total… Drama… Carnival Calamity!"

Inside the lame-o-sine, Hilda is staying quiet while Rosalina is driving the limo.

"You're quiet," Rosaline spoke to start small talk as she drives the vehicle. "First time no one tries to talk about their time on the show."

"I am unsure of how I feel," Hilda confessed. "My stay in the game was wonderful, no denying that. Made lots of friends. I just hope Tamera and Axel don't darken their hearts."

"I won't even give them an episode before they are at each other's throats," Rosalina joked, but Hilda does not find it funny. "I'll just keep driving."

Author's Note: This has been the hardest decision yet to make. I adore Hilda on how she wants to help others so much. However, as I continue to rewrite my drafts and plots I notice she started losing plots and being just there without doing much. Though, her elimination will shake things up between Tamera and Axel. We will see more of Hilda in the next aftermath.

Not much else to put. Leave a review or PM me what you think of this chapter.
