Hi, everybody. I am so sorry for the long wait. A lot of things happened and I have been getting back into a old hobby of mine, drawing, and had a bit of writer's block, especially with this chapter. But I promise I will try to get the chapters quicker, so you all can enjoy these stories of mine.

Chapter 7 - Big Sisters
While walking to the Juice Bar, Eliza hummed and stretched, looking around. Since it was no hurry to get to the Juice Bar, Eliza decided to take in some of the scenery of her new home. Due to her family being a military family, Eliza wondered how long it would be before her parents would have to relocate. She hoped it would be awhile since she was helping the Rangers fight Rita.
Taking out her hearing aids and sitting on a nearby bench, Eliza took some time to admire the scenery. While she was sitting and admiring the beauty of her new home, Eliza pondered about what's going on with David. He seemed to be avoiding her or looked worried when he was around her or the others. She was worried he might know about her role as a Power Ranger. She hoped that wasn't the case and thought about how to talk with him about it.
While she was considering the options and wondering what to do with her friend, a young girl in pigtails saw her and saw her hearing aids, not having seen something like before. Seeing as she stood up, she ran by and grabbed the hearing aids, running off. Eliza gasped and groaned, running after the little thief. Though she couldn't hear, Eliza managed to evade the people in her way and ran all the way to the Juice Bar.
At the Juice Bar, David sighed, drinking the smoothie that Ernie made for him. Finishing his training, Jason saw him and walked to the counter with Zack. Billy sat with him and looked at him, curious.
"Hey, David, what's wrong?" Jason said.
"Yeah, you okay?" Zach asked.
"Well, has Eliza been saying anything to you guys that she hasn't been saying to me?" David asked, looking at the male Rangers with his two colored eyes.
"No, I think she tells us everything equally." Billy said,looking curious.
David sighed and leaned back, crossing his arms before saying, "Well, I guess I'm just imagining it but it feels like there's something she's not telling me. Aside from being her interperer, I'm also her friend. I thought maybe for some reason there's something she can't tell me that she can talk with you guys about."
The three male Rangers were visibly shocked and quiet, nervously sweating that David may be suspecting that Eliza was a Ranger and that she couldn't tell him that she was one of the Rangers cause that was the one of the biggest rules that they had been given by Zordon along with the fact he may have caught onto their sudden disappearances when they are called out to fight or listened in while they were talking to Zordon and Alpha.
Luckily, Eliza, Kimberly, and Trini appeared, though they noticed that she was fuming. David saw her and noticed that she wasn't wearing her hearing aids.
"What happened?" He signed. "Where are your hearing aids?"
"'They were stolen by a little thief.'" Kimberly translated as Eliza signed. "'However, I didn't get a good look at the person. So I don't know who took it.'"
"Well, that reminds me." Kimberly said while David signed what she said for Eliza.
"'What is it?'" Eliza signed.
Zach hid a laugh as Jason was looking at the signing and the lip moving intently since he was trying to learn how to sign and read lips.
"Well, we needed to ask Ernie something." Kimberly said, turning to the owner of their favorite hangout. "Ernie, have you seen a little girl wearing long pigtails around here?"
"No, Kimberly." Ernie told her, looking at her. "Sorry."
"Billy, have you seen Maria?" Trini asked, looking at him. "We can't find here anywhere."
"Don't worry, I'm sure she's all right." Billy said, hoping to reassure her.
Zack lightly tapped Jason out of his focus cause it appeared that Eliza and David were done signing to each other and he began to sign for her so he didn't need to study that hard anymore and the look of worry on Kimberly and Trini's face was very visible.
"Hey, what's wrong?" He asked. "Look like you just lost somthing."
"Not something, Jason, someone." Kimberly said, looking worried. "A 12 year old girl named Maria."
"Kimberly and I volunteered to be her big sisters for the day." Trini explained to the group. "She was supposed to be here half an hour ago."
"Don't you think she's in some kind of trouble, do you?" Kimberly asked the Yellow Ranger, worried.
Zack tried to comfort them, "Ladies, take it easy. There's no need to fear. Detective Zack is here."
While the teenagers were talking and laughing, the little girl who Eliza saw before sneaked to the hot water shut off and turned the hot water off for fun. When Zack asked, "Besides, how much trouble could a little girl be?", all the boys taking a hot shower ran out with their hair wet or shampooed and in their towels.
Jason commented, "Talk about a bad way to start the day. Who'd do a thing like that anyway?"
Then they saw the little girl who was looking sly and Eliza suddenly had a firey glare at her. David stepped away as he saw the flames that were coming. Though Kimberly and Trini were relieved that Maria was okay, Kimberly looked at Eliza and noticed how mad she looked.
"Is everything okay?" She asked, signing.
"'That's the girl who stole my hearing aids.'" She signed back.
"Are you sure?" Kimberly asked.
Eliza nodded, so Maria was brought forth and she pouted, returning the hearing aids and Kimberly and Trini sat with her, asking why she stole Eliza's hearing aids and why she turned off the hot water. Maria said she thought that they were some kind of unique looking earrings and she wanted to get their attention while David stood with Eliza as she put her hearing aids back in. Putting her hearing aids back on and turning them on, Eliza looked at the little girl and sighed.
"I can understand that what you saw looked interesting since not a lot of people have seen hearing aids before," Eliza explained, looking at her. "However, I need these to hear the world around me. Unlike you and everyone else, I was born with no hearing at all. So while I thank you for thinking they were interesting, don't make assumpations and take things that aren't yours."
With Maria nodding, Kimberly smiled and Trini asked, "Now would you like to go on a picnic? We packed a giant basket and have lots of fun. What do you say?"
Maria nodded while Kimberly whispered, "I hope we know what we're getting ourselves into."
Eliza waved at the two girls as they left with Maria then she went to the counter and hit her head on the counter. Ernie smiled and gave her a free smoothie, Eliza smiled and took a sip of the smoothie. David smiled to see she was alright then remembered something.
"Sorry, gotta go do something." He said. "See you later."
Eliza waved and sighed as Jason, Billy, and Zack sat with her, the four Rangers exhaling in relief.
"I think he knows..." She said in a low voice.
"Yeah, when he talked to us, we got the feeling that he has caught on when we've talked to Zordon and Alpha or when we've left to fight Rita's monster." Jason said in a low voice.
"Man, what are we going to do?" Zack said, sighing. "He's bound to find out at some point."
"I'm sure we'll think of something." Billy said.
Eliza breathed, sipping her smoothie and sat with the guys, talking about how she was adjusting to the city and learning that she was part of a military family so they needed to prepare for when her family needed to relocate and move for her family's new assignment. But she didn't think it would be for a while so she could continue her work as a Power Ranger and protect the city.
The four Rangers talked about school, training, their favorite movies, things to talk about to help the three boys know Eliza more and get closer to her as a friend, classmate, and teammate. Eliza laughed as she listened to a story that Jason was telling and drank her smoothie. While she did ponder if Kimberly and Trini were okay, Eliza was sure that they were okay.
Zack ordered a Ernie special which turned out to be a huge sundae with chocolate, sparkles, and basically looked like a giant version of a banana split. Eliza smiled as she looked at Zack preparing himself to dig into his large sweet treat.
"You sure you can finish that whole thing?" She joked.
"Yeah, you couldn't eat that." Jason said, looking at him. "You can't eat that. No way!"
However, before Zack could really enjoy his wonderful dessert, Trini and Kimberly came in, looking distressed.
"Guys, we have a serious business." Trini said, sounding worried.
"Rita just kidnapped Maria." Kimberly explained.
"What?" Eliza asked, looking at them conerned.
"Six Putty patrollers came out of nowhere and grabbed her." Kimberly said, explaining the situation. "We were going to go after them."
"But I thought we should get some help." Trini said, looking at the group.
"Why would Rita kidnap a little kid?" Billy questioned.
Eliza kept quiet, trying to think while Jason said, "I don't know, Billy. Let's talk to Zordon."
The Rangers activated their communicators, but there was electronic static. Eliza bit her lip, getting concerned and worried not only about the situation but also cause they couldn't reach Zordon and Alpha.
"Uh-oh, the communicators aren't working." Billy said, getting worried.
"This is really turning out to be more than just a bad hair day." Kimberly said, getting frustrated.
"What now?" Trini asked, sighing.
"We got to get to the Command Center." Zack suggested.
Putting her hands on her hips, Eliza asked, "How?"
"She's right," Jason said, trying the teleportation butotn. "Teleportation's down too."
"Any ideas?" Zack asked.
"Negative." Billy said, sighing. "Unfortunately, repairs could take hours on these."
"So what now?" Eliza asked, crossing her arms.
"Well, there is one alternative." Billy suggested. "You see, I've been manufacturing a surprise in my garage. It could get us to the Command Center. Is anybody interested?"
Everyone looked at each other, and nodded, knowing that they needed some way to get to the Command Center and looked at Billy.
"I'm in." Jason said.
"Me too." Trini said, nodding.
"Me as well." Eliza said.
"Let's do it!" Zack said, agreeing.
With that, everyone ran to Billy's house, wondering what his surprise was and how it could get everyone to the Command Center. Eliza was more concerned with why communicators and teleportations were down, along with why would Rita kidnap a random little girl and tried to figure her weird plan this time. They reached Billy's house and went to his garage.
Blinking a few times, Eliza looked at what he wanted to show them. It was a white Volkwagen Beetle with some kind of rod and a tank on the back. Everyone seemed to have the same idea as they looked surprised to see the unique modified vehicle in front of them.
"Well, what do you think?" Billy said to his friends, smiling. "I call it the Rad Bug."
"I never took you for the type to do any working with cars." Eliza said, still looking in surprise.
Billy rubbed his hair and explained, "It's capable of transporting us to any destination on the planet's surface."
"'The Rad Bug?'" Trini asked, looking at him with a unsure look.
"What's so rad about it?" Zack asked, looking at him.
"It does zero to 3,000 in 2.8 seconds." Billy said, smiling.
"That is rad." Eliza said, smiling. "Though will we all be able to fit inside?"
"I'm sure we can manage something." Billy said.
With that, everyone agreed and gathered inside the beetle, then Billy drove the car out of the garage, it started out as a simple drive, but suddenly it began to fly in the sky. Eliza was speechless, amazed that Billy was able to create a car capable of flight along with his other inventions of the communicators. She smiled, wondering what other amazing things he could think of.
Zack looked at the instrument panel and wondered what some of the buttons did, so they flew all the way to the Command Center. Eliza covered her mouth, trying not to puke. Jason and Trini rubbed her back as they flew to the Command Center. They fell through on the long tube on the front of the center, and Alpha saw the car appeared, sounding confused.
"It's... it's an old car." He said, pondering why it appeared.
Once all the Rangers came out, his tone changed, "Oh, Power Rangers! How did you get here?! Teleportation and communications has been out for hours!"
"Never mind that." Zordon told him, as they all ran out to the control panel. "You all look distressed. What is troubling you?"
"I'm afraid our old pal Rita is at it again." Trini explained.
"She kidnapped a 12 year old girl named Maria and is holding her captive." Kimberly said, looking at him.
"What do you think she is up to, Zordon?" Zack asked, looking at their imprisoned mentor.
"Unofrtunately, something I've been fearing for ten millennia." Zordon said.
"Oh, no!" Alpha said, sounding scared. "Rita has located the Power Eggs?!"
"Power eggs?" Eliza said, stating everyone's question.
"Precisely." Zordon said.
"I don't get it." Zack said, looking confused.
"Behold the images in the Viewing Globe and all your questions will be answered." Zordon told them as they turned to the big crystal orb in the room and the images began to show a chest in a cave and two eggs as well as what looked like a group of priests tossing it into the sea. Eliza listened as Zordon explained.
"It is an ancient tale that dates back to when the battle of good and evil began. Millions of years ago, ancient sorcerers who called themselves the Morphin Masters hid a universe of power within two mystic power eggs. By casting the eggs into the sea, the sorcerers believed that their ancient ancestors would look down on the eggs and protect them from universal danger. To insure the safety of the chest, only the touch of an innocent child like Maria can open the magical container."
Eliza put her finger to her chin, thinking on the explanation that was given and looked at everyone who looked at each other, not sure what to do.
"Zordon, what do you think we should do?" Jason asked.
"You must save the girl." Zordon told them. "Then return the Power Eggs to the sea. If Rita gets hold of them, she will become so powerful, she will never be stopped."
Deciding that they needed to do stop this new evil plan, Zordon gave them the directions to where the cave of the masters was. Getting back into the Rad Bug, Billy drove them out of the Command Center and drove to the location of where the cave was. Eliza just kept quiet, thinking back on the history of the eggs and the spell on the chest to protect them.
While they were driving on a road outside the city, Billy said, "According to Zordon's instructions, we're nearly to the cave of the Morphin Masters."
"If Rita touches one hair on Maria's head, I'll..." Kimberly started, but Eliza touched her shoulder to calm her down.
"We'll save her." Jason told her, reassuring her. "She'll be alright."
Kimberly sighed and said, "Why can't we just fly the car over there?"
"Because approaching by ground makes us less visible." Billy told her. "It might allow us to surprise Rita."
"Billy, how much longer?" Eliza said, looking at him.
"One more bend and we'll be there." Billy said.
"Everybody, keep your eyes open and be ready to morph." Jason told everyone.
As Billy turned around the bend, they saw Goldar, Baboo, and Squat along with some kind of fatty chicken. Eliza glared at them as Zack shouted, "Look, there's Rita's goons."
"But no Maria." Kimberly said, sighing.
"Alright, it's morphin time!" Jason shouted.
So the six Rangers morphed into their other forms, holding their Power Blasters in their hands and ready to beat Rita's henchmen.
"Release Maria and the Power Eggs now!" Jason shouted. "Lets do it!"
They created a prymaid, combining the power of their blasters into one powerful shot, that sent Baboo and Squat flying back and sending the chest out of their hands and back into the sea. Then they broke the prymaid and brought their weapons. Spinning her hammer, Eliza swung it down and hit the ground, making it shake and causing Goldar and the other goons to shake while hte other Rangers stood their ground.
"Eliza, go help Kim and Trini!" Jason suggested.
Eliza nodded, running to the chicken the girls were fighting. She stopped just a step in front of the chicken and swung her hammer, slamming into the stomach of the chicken and sending it back a ways. Trini gave her a fist bump and nodded at her. Suddenly the chicken disappeared, the Rangers wondered where did they go til they got a call from Alpha.
"Power Rangers, Rita's got Maria at the old factory." Alpha told them urgently. "Hurry!"
"We need Dinozord Power now!" Jason shouted, as all seven Rangers summoned their respsective Zord and they entered their Zord.
Then they created the Megazord, changing it from its tank mode to its battle mode. With the Megazord complete, Jason told them, "All right, Power Rangers, we've got a little girl to save!"
Heading for the factory, they saw Maria was tied up and the chicken was slowly using its scissors to cut the rope that was holding her up. Eliza looked and saw Goldar standing with who she guessed was Rita. Eliza just pondered what she was wearing but she knew now what the person commanded their enemies looked like and kept quiet.
"I'll cut you a deal." Rita shouted at the Megazord. "I'll let the girl go when you bring me the Power Eggs."
"Alright, Rita, you want the Power Egg, so let the little girl go now!" Jason shouted.
"Go ahead." Rita told her chicken. "Cut it!"
So the chicken cut at the rope, cutting it til it was hanging by a thin thread. Trini got upset and shouted, "Hey, birdbrain. Cut that rope and you've had it!"
But they were unfazed at the threat and the chicken cut the rope, however, the Megazord caught her in its robotic hand. Eliza looked as Rita decided that all she had to do was enlarage the chicken and have it destroy the Megazord. So she tossed her staff which sent its power to the ground and enlarged the chicken, putting the two opponents on equal grounds.
"Bring in the Rad Bug by remote and get Maria out of here!" Billy told them.
Eliza nodded as the Rad Bug came rolling up and gently lowered the young girl who ran to the car as soon as she got to the ground. As the car drove itself out of sight, Eliza gasped as the chicken came running at them and sent a kick, then used its scissors to cute a hole in the sky. It used the hole to disappear and reappear, trying to gain the upper hand in the fight. But Eliza smiled as they summoned the Power Sword. Empowering the sword, they slashed at the chicken, destroying another of Rita's monsters.
Taking a breath, Eliza felt Jason touch her shoulder and she smiled. The group went back to the Juice Bar and relaxed, Eliza sipped a smoothie, listening to the news report and smiled.
"That's one less pain for us to deal with." She said to Billy who nodded.
They watched as Kimberly was crowded by people who wanted to Ernie's veggie chili and she accidentally dropped on Bulk. Eliza laugh with everyone while David quietly watched and smiled.
So David is starting to question that Eliza may be a Ranger, oh no! But no worries, he will find out but not yet, still got plenty of adventures and mishaps with Rita before he finds out the truth.
In the next chapter, everyone helps a young boy with the science fair, Rita sends a new monster to capture the genius of the boy, Bulk and Skulk mess things up as usual. I hope to see you in the next chapter and please R/R this chapter and this story if you really enjoyed it.
