The scene opens with Michiru walking around the stadium looking for Zoro.
"Let's see… if I was a pirate with green clothes and hair who uses three swords, where would I be?" Michiru asked herself. "Maybe...here?" she guessed, peeking into one room only to see a duck and dog looking at a few targets before the targets were knocked down, as if they had been shot. "No, not here…"
The young girl continued on, looking through the rooms, but was not having much luck in locating the swordsman in question.
"C'mon, he's gotta be here somewhere. How lost can one guy get himself?" Michiru asked. "It would be so much easier if I could sniff him out like Ogami does… wait…" she then realized she was capable of that. "Duh! You can do that!"
Michiru's face then transformed into that of a wolf, allowing her to track Zoro's scent, which led her outside as Zoro was staring down a tall man with a long sword and long silver hair.
"What does the Pirate Hunter seek from me?" The silver haired man said.
"You know damn well what. You might remember me from Hollow Bastion. I could tell from looking at you then...you're pretty damn skilled." Zoro said.
"Hmm…" the man said as he dashed at Zoro quickly before he saw the swordsman had blocked his blow. "You're not so bad yourself. Hmm...I planned to use this tournament as a farce so I could deal with Cloud personally. But...that's changed. I think I'll see to it that you are finished off before I go for Cloud."
"That is if you're still conscious after." Zoro smirked as the man simply walked off as Zoro just watched.
"I shall bring you despair." The man said before disappearing.
Michiru then ran up to Zoro as she was hiding.
"Zoro! There you are!" Michiru said. "Who was that other guy?"
"His name is Sephiroth. Our group encountered him once or twice before." Zoro said.
"He's strong."
"I'll say. I saw how quickly you blocked his strike." Michiru said.
"11…" Zoro said.
"Huh?" Michiru asked.
"He struck at me...11 times." Zoro said.
"But… How? I only saw you block him once." Michiru said.
"His swordplay is very fast, as if a blur. If you're not careful… He'll have you pegged before you can even blink." Zoro said.
"And you're planning to fight him?" Michiru asked. "I know I'm the new girl, but can you really take him down?"
"That guy...honestly...he may end up being called the no wing angel." Zoro said.
Michiru looked at Zoro, and just from one glance, could tell that he meant what he said.
"Alright, I'll take your word for it." Michiru said. "Oh, my name's Michiru by the way. I came looking for you because the others thought you got lost." she said before seeing he was gone. "What? Hey!" she called out seeing him take off.
"Sorry but I gotta prepare for that fight to come!" Zoro called out as he headed towards the arena's edge.
"Hey, wrong way!" Michiru called out.
"Damn it! All the paths here are so confusing." Zoro said, going the other way.
"There are signs that tell where each section is!" Michiru called out. "Man, they weren't kidding when they said his sense of direction was terrible… is it even okay to leave him on his own?"
Back at the Break Area, the Smashers and Alliance members were hanging out.
"So David, now that you've been able to fight Lloyd and Dante, are there any other smashers in the tournament you wanna fight?" Hope asked.
"Uh...Hope...you know every fighter can only fight once right?" Jexi asked.
"It doesn't matter anyway. I already got the fight I wanted." David said.
"I'm glad you did. The thing is, there's someone I wanna fight specifically in this tournament too." Hope said.
"Who would that be?" Y'shtola asked.
"Well…" Hope said, looking to the bar to see Kazuya Mishima still hanging there. "...I want Kazuya."
"Hmm, the Aether around that man is certainly malicious." Y'shtola said.
"You're probably picking up on the Devil Gene he has." Twilight said.
"I've got a reason that I wanna take Kazuya on. Specifically, so that David doesn't have to worry about anything from him." Hope said. "And I won't go out there and let anyone's bad opinion of me get to me at all. Because it doesn't matter what anyone says about me, my team, or what has been pinned on me because my team and I believe we're the real deal. And that's enough vindication for me."
"That's right, don't let anyone else say otherwise." Ace said. "The negative opinions of others shouldn't matter at all as long as you do what you believe is right."
"Amen to that." Mark added. "Your experiences are what change you, not other people. That's what it means to live."
"Yeah...but...Kazuya? The guy who could literally drop you into an active volcano like his old man?" Rainbow asked.
"Hey, better him than me." David said. "If it were me, he's say so much crap about how my dad's sentimentality about Rain Bow's death makes him weak. I do not want to hear any of that."
"Well...I actually have my eyes set on a certain opponent too." Harumi said, approaching.
"Really? Who is it, Harumi?" David asked.
"Greninja. Ninja against assassin/ninja." Harumi said.
"Aren't ninjas and assassins technically the same thing?" Kayra asked.
"Yeah, so it's both." Scarlet said. "I'm sure that'll be a fun match to watch."
"I would look forward to testing one of the Belmont's strength." Shanoa said.
"That's right. As I recall, you're part of that order that slays Dracula should the Belmont's fail to uphold their family duties." Spectra said.
"Yes, we sought the power to slay Dracula when the Belmont Clan disappeared, only till I found it was to resurrect the Lord of Darkness himself with three fragments of his power at the cost of my own life." Shanoa said. "But Albus took my place when I used all three pieces to destroy Dracula."
"Well...you certainly have your pick between Simon and Richter." Jexi said.
"I felt as if I had faced Simon Belmont long ago, but the memory is foggy." Shanoa said.
"Ah...so you cannot remember that time either." a voice said as she saw a certain half-vampire sitting nearby.
"You...you are…" Shanoa said.
"Alucard...son of Dracula." he said.
"Yes, you've fought alongside Trevor and Richter Belmont at different points in history against your own father." Shanoa said. "And you can't recall that event either?"
"No...and several of the Belmonts and their allies are in this arena and I've met a few who do not recall either." Alucard said.
"How strange, we can't recall it but we've felt as if it has happened before." Shanoa said.
"Perhaps it's something that isn't meant to be remembered." Alucard said.
"Maybe so, as a way to maintain something?" Shanoa asked.
"Perhaps...I asked Simon, Trevor...even Maria and they believe the same as I." Alucard said.
"It is very peculiar." Shanoa said.
"I've chosen to just let the matter go entirely. If it is not meant to be remembered, then why bother?" Alucard said.
"Yes, perhaps it is for the best." Shanoa said.
"It feels like the air around this tournament is getting tenser and tenser the more fighters get knocked off." Mermista said.
"Indeed...the closer we get to the end...the harder everyone is going to have to fight." Jexi said.
"Then we'll just have to fight harder in turn." Goku replied.
"Everybody wants to prove their worth. They won't make room for any mistakes." Sectonia said.
"We're all fighting for different reasons, but each of us is part of the same team. So if the fighters step up their game, we will too. However high they go, we'll just go that high as well." Hope said. "We'll fight together, and we'll stick together through the whole tournament."
"And fight until the very last man," Jexi said.
