The lights of the arena soon shined down again as a figure stepped on in. "Welcome to Day 3 of our smasher extravaganza! Are you not excited?" they asked as the audience cheered. "My name is Vi Per. I am one of the refs in charge of supervising the matches and providing color commentary." she said.
"Another new ref. Feels like this is gonna be a recurring theme." Bow said.
"Let's now introduce the fighters for our first fight!" Vi Per said as the lights shined down. "From the sunny Alola Region, this feline has fought in numerous cage and ring matches against many opponents, even battling the famous Ken Masters. Now he comes to set the ring on fire. He is the Ring's Raging Flame. Welcome...Incineroar!" she called out as a figure ran down the path before jumping into the ring.
"Rar!" Incineroar roared as the audience was in a frenzy.
"Of course he was gonna make an entrance like that. Like Pokémon, like trainer." Sunset said.
"Speaking of which, I wonder how he was taking Indigo's departure." Sectonia said.
"Hard to say." Simon said. "But it makes you wonder if Incineroar will be fought on a stage not from his own world like Ike was."
"And now...from the Brave Adventurers! This lone wolf fights with only a single sword in its mouth. They've fought in a number of battles alongside the fated shield. They are the Sword of Galar! Welcome...Zacian!" Vi Per said as Zacian walked into the arena.
"Hello there, Incineroar. I hope you weren't too disheartened from recent events." Zacian said.
"Rar!" Incineroar said as it had a face of determination.
"Hmm… I see. You are right. She wouldn't want to see you all down in the dumps, would she?" Zacian asked.
Incineroar only shook his head, as if saying she wouldn't so he has to fight hard for her sake as well.
"Heh. Well said. Come at me with all you have!" Zacian said.
"And their fighting arena this time...The Bridge of Eldin!" Vi Per said as the two stood on the large bridge. "Let the battle...begin!"
Incineroar made the first move as he grabbed Zacian and tossed them right into a wall before they were bounced back and given a lariat strike.
"Heh. Strong as always." Zacian said as his mane glowed orange and he stomped on the ground, creating stalagmites under Incineroar.
Incineroar growled as he soon started to spin and break through the stalagmites.
"Alright… Let's try this one." Zacian said as his mane turned purple and his sword was imbued in darkness before he slashed at Incineroar.
Incineroar growled as his fur seemed to glow brightly.
"Oh geez...that's Revenge." Twilight said.
Incineroar roared as he charged at Zacian and started to rapidly attack the wolf-like Pokémon.
"Oof… That's going to sting…" Zacian said as his mane glowed green and a small tornado started to blow around him. Incineroar then jumped up as he went in with a Cross Chop right onto Zacian.
"Wow...Incineroar is savage." Ethox said.
"Yeah. He learned all those moves from the wrestling tapes in Hope's room." Emo said.
"Yeah...he's a classic heel." Rainbow said.
Incineroar smiled as he grabbed Zacian and tossed him as a strange arena appeared around them.
"Oh...here it comes...the move that made it famous." Vi Per said.
Incineroar tossed Zacian against the ropes before uppercutting them and beating on them before bringing them down to the arena.
"Max Malicious Moonsault!" the audience called out as an explosion of flames came from the arena.
"Oof… That was brutal…" Zacian said as he shook it off, breathing heavily.
Incineroar did not notice Zacian getting up as he was busy posing for the crowd that was watching.
"Not taking account of your surroundings will cost you. Payback time." Zacian said as his sword started to glow.
"Here comes his signature move." Mari said.
"No...that move is not the same as before." Zamazenta said.
Zacian's sword glowed as six different elements coated it.
"Behemoth...Elemental...Blade!" Zacian said, slicing through Incineroar, sending the big cat flying and crashing out of the arena.
"And the winner of this bout is...Zacian!" Vi Per said as the audience cheered.
"Whoo! That was great!" Zacian said as he slowly made his way to Incineroar to help him up. "You did well."
"Rar." Incineroar said as they shook paw on paw as the audience applauded the display of camaraderie.
"Don't try to take it so hard. Win or loss, you did Indigo proud, I'm sure of it." Zacian said.
Incineroar knew he was right as the two headed back into the stands.
"Whoa...that was nice. Way to go!" Theo said.
"Yeah...you gave everyone a good show out there." Jexi said.
"Thanks. It took a lot to get used to the new techniques from the Elemental Sword. And Incineroar was clearly no slouch either." Zacian said.
"Eh." Incineroar grunted as it went to the concessions up top to grab some food.
"Yeah...he is one tough cat all right." Sunset said. "And the day's only just started."
"Right...and if this goes like the other two rounds...ten matches left for the day. This is gonna be awesome." Rainbow said.
