Yukino Yukinoshita was looking at Hikigaya's living room when she felt a push on her back. Hikigaya was pushing them to the kitchen table before they could ask questions.
"His house is wrecked…"
In his living room, there was glass everywhere from vases that had been smashed. Once they had sat down he rushed out of the dining room with a broom.
"I'm worried about Hikki…" Yui said with a look of concern on her face.
Yukino didn't respond, she just sat there in silence. She then got up and headed to the living room.
"Hikigaya-kun, may I use the restroom?"
"First door to the left."
Yukino entered the restroom and realized that it was in worse condition than the living room. The mirror had been shattered by a punch, the floor was covered in… white dust? She bent down and saw a bottle next to the dust.
"Antidepressants..."
She heard footsteps running down the hallway. Hikigaya turned the corner and saw that she had seen the mess in the bathroom. She looked at him and he looked down at the floor.
"Hikigaya-kun…"
"Let's go eat… I can clean later…" He said, not looking her in the eyes.

As the three of them sat at the table eating, there was an uncomfortable silence.
Yui spoke up.
"So Hikki… when are you coming back to school…"
"Tomorrow."
"Why aren't you staying at home for a few days to recover?"
"I don't feel the need to…" He said, looking down at the floor.
Yukino had enough.
"Hikigaya-kun, you should stay home to recover tomorrow." She said, in an angry tone.
Hikigaya stayed quiet.
"Promise me… please." She pleaded.
He looked at her and saw tears at the brims of her eyes. With a sigh he answered.
"Ok… I promise."
He saw a smile from both girls and they ate the rest of their meal happily.

When it was time for them to leave, Hikigaya walked them to the door. Yui gave him a hug and said her goodbyes, Yukinoshita stayed behind. Hikigaya stared at her.
"I assume there is something you want to tell me that you don't want Yuigahama to hear."
"Hikigaya-kun, you won't do anything to yourself tomorrow while you are at home alone, right?"
Hikigaya stared at her and made note of the look of worry on her face.
"I won't… don't worry about that."
With that, Yukinoshita started walking out the door. Once she was out of his house, Hikigaya spoke.
"Y-Yukinoshita…"
She turned around.
"I-I like you too…"
Her eyes widened, Hikigaya closed the door and leaned against it. He didn't see the face of the blushing Yukinoshita that was outside.

Yukino Yukinoshita couldn't focus on school the next day, her head was in the clouds.
"H-He likes me too…"
It was extremely hard for her to admit her feelings to him. It took him nearly dying to make her realize that she wanted to be with him. It made her happy that he felt the same way. The service club was "canceled" for the week, because Yui and Yukino left to go to Hikigaya's house everyday after school.
"What do you think that Hikki did today, Yukinon?" Yui asked on their walk to his house.
"Knowing him he probably was reading all day."
"I guess we will see…"
Once they arrived at his house, they knocked on the door. There was no reply. Panic filled the two girls' faces as Yui knocked on the door again. At this point they had a phone out and were ready to call the police, when they heard the door unlocking. The face of a tired Hikigaya stared at them through the crack. Yui burst open the door and gave him a hug.
"Don't you ever scare us again like that!" Both girls shouted in unison.
"Oh… I'm sorry, I was napping." He said nonchalantly.
"I'm glad to see you have been getting sleep, Hikki, I was worried that you weren't getting any."

After a quick visit at his house, the three decided to go out to dinner. They walked quietly down the street until Yui asked a question.
"So, Hikki, what did you do today."
"Eh, I just did a bunch of reading and catching up on schoolwork."
The conversation continued until the trio reached a certain intersection. The girls noticed that Hachiman had stopped walking and had gotten really quiet. They looked at each other in understanding.
This was where the accident had happened.
