"Well...strange weather aside, it seems our next fighter decided to come out himself instead of being picked. Now...we welcome the One Winged Angel and his very VERY long sword. So...Sephiroth!" Cra Ne said as Sephiroth walked in before taking the mic. "Hey that's not…"
"People in the audience...I would simply like to say this. These clouds...are only there to cover this." Sephiroth said as the clouds cleared, revealing a large meteor.
"No…" Aerith said, clasping her hands to her chest.
"He's doing it already?!" Kazuma asked.
"The Black Magic, Meteor." Aerith answered. "Holy is the only white magic that can stop it."
"Well, guess it reaffirms that Sephiroth never cared about this tournament to begin with." Hope said.
"But...I can't call upon it." Aerith said.
"Of course you can't. The arena has a dampening field around the stands that restricts magic and other techniques. So no one can interfere with the matches from the stands." Cra Ne said. "The only time those techniques can be used is in the ring."
"That's right...so...I've decided to bring despair upon everyone in Smash. You all will face your ends here." Sephiroth said.
"Oi...are you done with the theatrics?" a voice asked as a figure was seen walking in.
"Oh right. And uh...Sephiroth's opponent! From the East Blue, this lone swordsman has made a name for himself by facing a number of enemies with his three swords by his side. He is the Pirate Hunter! Roronoa...Zoro!" Cra Ne said as Zoro walked into the arena.
"Hmph, so Mihawk Hawkeye's pupil has finally arrived to challenge me." Sephiroth said.
"Don't forget...you wanted this too." Zoro said.
"Of course, but the only one who can truly defeat me is Cloud, try your best to entertain me." Sephiroth said before taking a casual stance with Masamune in hand.
"And the location of this battle is...the Northern Cave!" Cra Ne said as the two appeared in the middle of a large cave. "You may...begin!"
(Cue- J.E.N.O.V.A.- Dissidia Duodecim)
"Hmm." Sephiroth said, rushing at Zoro who quickly blocked the strikes Sephiroth had made.
"Three Sword Style: Purgatory...Onigiri!" Zoro said, attempting to slash Sephiroth who was quick to block as well.
"Fear not." Sephiroth said, using Scintilla as a hexagonic-like barrier formed right in front of him before bouncing back the attack in multiple hits.
"Crap!" Zoro said quickly going on the defensive and blocking against the attacks coming his way.
"Cut…" Sephiroth said, charging forward with an onslaught of sword strikes. "Vanish." he finished with a rising sword slash.
Zoro parried Sephiroth's attacks, however due to Masamune's incredible length, he still received minor cuts from its blade.
"Fool." Sephiroth said, using Shadow Flare by summoning four orbs of darkness as they surrounded Zoro before closing in.
"Three Sword Style: Great Dragon Twister!" Zoro said as he cut right through the orbs as they exploded behind him.
"Very impressive, but…" Sephiroth started as he waved his left arm out and a black angel wing sprouted. "Are you prepared?"
"Cut the banter. You and I were prepared way before this fight even started." Zoro said.
"Return to the Planet." Sephiroth said before slashing across Zoro in a wide range as he transformed into Safer Sephiroth as he sent down a smaller meteor from the one above the arena. "This one will not destroy this world. But it will be enough to finish you off! Supernova!" Sephiroth said as the meteor collided with the ground and Zoro as a huge explosion occurred.
"Zoro!" Luffy called out.
"Damn… that moss headed idiot went and got himself killed." Sanji said.
"He can't be dead, right? I mean, isn't he gonna be the World's Greatest Swordsman one day?" Michiru asked.
"Hmm...a fitting end for a fool." Sephiroth said as he prepared to bring the meteor down. "What?" he said, noticing some people in the audience starting to pass out. "What is this?" he said before feeling a strong sense of pressure. "What? The hell is…"
"You know...next time...you really should check to see if your opponent is actually dead before moving on." Zoro said.
Sephiroth turned around in shock as Zoro was still standing, now with six more arms and two more faces.
"Deadly Nine Sword Style: Asura!" Zoro said.
"What is this? This...incredible...no...he has the power of a conqueror?!" Sephiroth said as Zoro came running in.
"It's one thing to finish off me, but to drop some big rock on these people here...guess you're lower than dirt." Zoro said.
Sephiroth quickly raised Masamune in response to the oncoming attack.
"Asura: Jest of the Dead!" Zoro said, cutting right through Sephiroth, breaking the sword in two and leaving a large scar on Sephiroth's chest.
"I'll fall...into the…" Sephiroth said as he wavered. "What? No...Cloud is...the one who has to…" he said as he fell unconscious onto the ground.
(End song)
"We don't get to choose how we die...only how we fight." Zoro said, sheathing his swords. "Just be glad, I gave you a cut in the front and not the back."
"And...the battle has ended! The winner is...Zoro!" Cra Ne said as the audience cheered as the meteor above faded away into nothingness.
"With Sephiroth defeated, the Black Materia has been stopped." Aerith smiled. "Thank you, Zoro."
"Though...I can't believe all of the people passed out from Sephiroth." Theo said.
"It wasn't Sephiroth who knocked them out." Jexi said, pointing to Zoro as he was composing himself. "That...was the Conqueror's Haki."
"A type that is said to only be harnessed by one every 100 men, or so it is said." David said. "Its rarity is why so few have been able to harness all three types of Haki."
"Honestly...I'm not at all surprised. Makes sense for the world's strongest swordsman to have it too." Jexi said. "I doubt he even realized he even manifested it in that match."
"Either way, that was one intense match." Al said.
"I'll say. Probably the most intense one so far." Connor said.
"That's kind of saying something." Sectonia said.
"And there's only two matches left for today. Maybe one of the other two matches will come up on top." Ethox said.
"All we can do is keep watching." Hajime said.
