Yukino Yukinoshita arrived at the mall, the place that they agreed to meet, 30 minutes early. She was very anxious for their meeting today. She spent a lot of time in front of the mirror this morning, making sure she looked perfect.

"I've never cared about this before, so why do I care about it now?"

She couldn't wait to see Hikigaya, she didn't know why, but she always felt reassured when he was around. She was extremely curious about what he was going to speak to her about today. She wasn't lying when she said that she wanted to be a friend that he could confide in, she hoped he would share his feelings with her.

After waiting about thirty minutes, she saw Hikigaya enter the mall. He was wearing his winter jacket and looked very anxious.

"H-Hikigaya, over here!" She yelled, trying to get his attention. He saw her and started to walk over.

"Hello, Yukinoshita." He said, putting on the best smile that he could manage (he wasn't one for smiling).

"H-Hello." She said, nervously.

"Before we start, should I get us some drinks?" He said, gesturing to the mall cafe.

"Y-Yes please." She said, hiding her face.

He saw this and smiled, "Ok, I'll be right back."

Yukino watched him leave.

"Why am I getting so flustered from being around him?"

Hikigaya was in line at the cafe to get drinks when he thought back to their earlier conversation.

"Why did she seem nervous?"

"Why does she look nicer than normal?"

"Why am I nervous?!"

Once he got their drink he headed back to the table she was at.

"I didn't know what you wanted, so I just got what you make us at the service club."

"Ah, that's fine, thank you."

They sat there for a moment in silence, sipping their tea. Hikigaya was the first to speak.

"So, knowing you, you probably want to hear everything, right?"

"Yup, everything." She nodded.

Hikigaya sighed, then began his story.

They talked for over an hour and at some points it got very emotional. At those times Yukino had to calm Hikigaya down and slow his breathing. A lot of what he told her confirmed his feelings of depression and anxiety. She pondered over what he had said, and how he was feeling. She looked at him as he said these things, he was obviously trying to keep his cool, but there were moments when his cover cracked.

He stopped talking and Yukino assumed he was done. They sat in silence for a while, not sure what to say to each other. Yukino needed time to think about what he said, before she could comfort him better.

"Thank you, Hikigaya-kun, for telling me your feelings." She got up to leave but Hikigaya grabbed the sleeve of her coat as she tried to walk away. As soon as she felt the resistance she turned to see a blushing Hikigaya looking at the floor.

"I-I… haven't finished yet…"

Yukino's eyes widened. She felt awkward for just assuming he was done, she quickly sat back down and waited for him to resume.

"Y-You see… I am done telling you my feelings about what happened and how it affected me… but, I haven't told you my feelings about…well…"

He looked at her nervously.

"…You…"

Yukino did a double take when she heard this.

"Is he joking?"

One glance at his face told her that he was being serious. Hikigaya was blushing, but he tried to keep up his serious look.

"Y-Yukinoshita… you are an important part of my life… and you always will be…"

He paused here to look at Yukino. She was trying to hide her blush behind her hand, but was failing.

Hikigaya continued.

"...When I pushed you away… you still stood by me and even saved my life…

He had tears in his eyes, so did Yukino.

"I realized that I never want you to leave me... and…

He paused here, as if he was trying to get the courage to say his feelings. He looked at the floor. Yukino could tell he was struggling.

"Hikigaya-kun, y-you don't really have to-"

"I love you, Yukinoshita." He said, looking right at her, blushing.

Yukino just stared at him with her mouth open in shock. Hikigaya's eyes widened when she didn't have a response, he quickly looked at the floor.

"I-It's okay if you don't feel the same way-"

His sentence was interrupted by a pair of lips pressing against his own. He opened his eyes to see Yukinoshita kissing him. After a few seconds their lips broke apart and Yukinoshita stared Hikigaya Hachiman in the eyes.

"I love you too, Hikigaya Hachiman."

Author's Note:

Yup, they finally kissed. Before I get a bunch of comments about it, I know that I'm not amazing at writing romance. That is something that I'm trying to improve upon, so sorry if the romance seems a bit corny or forced. Thanks for reading, and be sure to leave a review and tell me how I'm doing.
