"Okay ladies and gents. It is now Day 5 and we are feeling alive." Chi Ta said entering. "Once again, I shall be handling the ref/comm duties for the day. As for today's fight, we're starting off with something right. A brawler free for all. As the name suggests, those who fight with just their feet and fist will participate in this fight! And here are our wild cards." she said as they all stood in attention. "The Red Guardian, Knuckles the Echidna! The Invincible Dragon, Ryo Sakazaki! The Flame of the End, Iori Yagami! The Ultimate Martial Artist, Akira Yuki! The Blue Flash, Jacky Bryant! The Student of Stealth, Ninjara! The Airess, Ribbon Girl! The Bouncer, Spring Man! The Purple Squid Sister, Callie! The Master of the Iron Fist, Heihachi Mishima! The Explosive Hero, Bomberman! The Girl with Iron Fists, Tifa Lockhart! The Flying Wrestler, the Flying Man! The Acolyte of Majora, the Skull Kid! The Common Man, Toad! The Feline Driver, Nia! And the Half Genie Hero, Shantae!" Chi Ta said.
"Did she just say… Heihachi Mishima…?" Kazuya muttered. "You have got to be kidding…"
"Kazuya looks pissed." Lei said.
"Why wouldn't he be? Heihachi's his greatest enemy." Krillin said.
"That, and Heihachi coming back to life after Kazuya killed him." Zero said.
"Just what I need… Someone else to come at me for the whole World of Light debacle." David said. "Good thing I already had my fight with the Swordfighters."
"Yup, he'll definitely be pissed off." Hope said. "Don't worry David, I'll make sure to deal with him."
"All teams will now select their brawlers and send them into the ring! Oh...one is already coming. From the Neo Dimensional Heroes, he is a powerful warrior who is currently working fast to succeed and surpass the current heroes. He is the Dual Wielding Fighter! Zexi!" Chi Ta said as Zexi entered.
"Well, I suppose I shall go too. Au revoir." Ash said.
"From Spirit Force, he is a fighter from the very less popular KOF series of fights. The Sneering Blaze! Ash Crimson!" Chi Ta said. "And following after him, from the Wanderers, he is the one who controls the Djinn of Rings. The Master of Rings! Volt Luster!" she said as Volt followed after.
"I got this one for us, gang." Akane said. "It'll be great to show off my own training that I did here in this universe."
"Now...from the Shining Hope Force, she is a wild beast with a craving for meat. She is the Ultimate Gymnast! Akane...Owari!" Chi Ta said. "Also...from Spectra Force, he is the serpent that will rot away all in his wake. He is the Poison Dragon! Cobra!" she said as Cobra followed after Akane.
"Let me go for this, guys." Gohan requested, standing up. "I'll give it my all out there!"
"Very well. Don't give your opponents an inch." Piccolo nodded as Gohan made his way to the arena.
"And from Team Chronicle, he is the son of a strong warrior and a very skilled fighter in his own right! He is the Legendary Saiyaman! Son...Gohan!" Chi Ta said.
"Hmm… not many barehanded fighters in our group…" Ethox mused.
"I'll go." DJ spoke up. "I may not technically be a Brawler, but I'm close. I'm sure I'll fit in."
"If you insist, young DJ." Necroapache said. "We send our hopes with you."
"Don't worry, I won't disappoint." DJ assured as he walked to the arena.
"From Fatebreakers, he is an assassin turned adventurer from the Idol Universe. His killing blows are only equal to his love of music. He is the Killer DJ! Welcome...Cerulean Rhyme!" Chi Ta said.
"Say, do you guys mind if I take this one?" Jude asked.
"I say go for it." Tenko said.
"Alright. Thanks, Tenko." Jude said.
"Now from the Brave Adventurers! He is the leading expert on spirits and spyrites! He is the Man with the Demon Fist! So enters...Jude...Matthis!" Chi Ta said as Jude walked in.
"Is our guy ready?" Cobalt asked.
"Yep. He's walking in right now." Theo said.
"And now...from Mythos Hearts! He is the servant who will leave you all wishing he was your ally instead of an enemy. He single handedly destroyed the Six Arms criminal organization in a single night! He is the Iron Butler. Welcome...Sebas...Tian!" Chi Ta said as Sebas walked into the arena.
"This is an easy choice. We got a pretty solid brawler in our little dynamo." Connor said.
"I'll be glad to head out and fight for us." Marshadow said heading out.
"From Team Revival, he's a creature who hides in the shadows and gets stronger in the darkness of others! He is the Avatar of Darkness! Marshadow!" Chi Ta, called out as Marshadow appeared in the ring.
"Guess it's your show. Knock them into next week." Jexi said.
"And lastly...from the Dimensional Heroes! She is one of the few ladies you are better off treating with respect! She is the Raging Bumblebee! Yang Xiao Long!" Chi Ta said as Yang entered the ring.
Both sides looked down at one another as Chi Ta walked into the center.
"And now...the arena for this fight will be...The Golden Plains!" Chi Ta said as they appeared in a field of gold. "You all may...begin!"
It didn't take long before the battle erupted in a fight of fists.
"Hmm… There are a lot of coins scattered around this field." Jude said. "I bet that if a lot of them are collected, we might get a boost of some kind."
"That sounds like a good idea." Gohan agreed. "I'll keep it in mind."
The battle raged, as the brawlers were attacking each other and collecting coins along the way.
"Still holding a grudge, monsieur?" Ash asked, dodging a few purple flames as he was facing Iori.
"You deserve to be dead, you piece of crap." Iori said, continuing to attack the frenchman.
"Just be glad I'm not after any of the three Sacred Treasures anymore." Ash said, grabbing Iori's face and causing a small green flame explosion. "And I don't intend on dying yet." he said with a serious expression.
"Yeah...you go...whoa!" Akane said, dodging a hit from Ribbon Girl.
"Eyes forward, beast girl!" Ribbon Girl called, firing off her Slapamander arm. Akane evaded before getting in close and kicking her right in the face.
"Ooh, that had to hurt." Tifa said.
"Hey...eyes on your opponent." Yang said landing a hit.
"Oh it is on." Tifa said as she and Yang started slugging one another. "Over!" she said, using Beat Rush and finishing with a palm strike, launching Yang back.
"Oh...no it's not!" Yang said getting enraged as she countered with a number of punches herself.
"Time to get serious!" Tifa said as gauntlets with a heart emblazoned on them appeared in her hands. "Are you ready? My thoughts empower me." she said, gathering energy before striking through Yang from multiple angles before reappearing right in front of her. "Breaking my limits!" she said, punching straight through. "Feels like you're flying, doesn't it?"
"Yeah...bet you would feel like that." Yang said as Tifa soon realized that she was the one sent flying. "Word of advice, leave all that fancy wordplay out of your attacks." Yang said as Tifa flew out of the arena.
"Whoa...now she is definitely strong." Ryo said.
"Look out from above!" Shantae called as an elephant was seen falling down over Gohan.
"Oh boy, this is going to be close…!" Gohan said as he raised his arms and caught the transformed half-genie, struggling a bit, but managing to throw her off and away.
"Transform!" Shantae said, transforming into a Harpy as she took to the skies and launched down a rain of feathers before reverting to human form and whipping Gohan with her hair.
For his part, Gohan blocked the feathers as best he could before the whip strike knocked him back a few feet. "Ugh, I really am out of shape…" Gohan muttered before he grew determined. "But I'm not backing down just yet!" he said before he concentrated and went Super Saiyan. "Come on!"
The half-Saiyan dashed towards the half-genie, the latter's hair strike hitting air as Gohan Flash Stepped behind her and landed a kick, knocking Shantae back a fair distance.
"I have to thank you, Shantae." Gohan said as he got into a familiar stance and began to charge an attack. "Thanks to you, I've learned that I can't rest on my laurels anymore. My life is important, but getting stronger so I can stand by my father and the team when they need me is important too!"
"It's no trouble at all, Gohan. I'm really enjoying fighting you." Shantae said.
"You're no slouch yourself. And that's why I'm going to finish it… with this!" Gohan said as his attack was charged and ready. "Kamehameha!"
"Ayiii!" Shantae cried out as she was sent flying.
"Seems all of the small fries are being weeded out very quickly." Cobra said having just defeated both Toad and Knuckles.
"Why did I accept? I should have just stayed in the stands." Toad groaned before passing out.
Jude was fighting Heihachi, being pushed to his limit. "Man… Even after death, Heihachi still hasn't lost his touch. He's clearly called the King of Iron Fist for a reason."
"Hahahaha! Now you'll see why I am the King of the Iron Fist!" Heihachi said as he pulled back a fist and prepared to end it.
Jude managed to see a coin. "Hope this will be enough." He said as he grabbed it, starting to glow gold. "Huh? Wh-what's going on?"
Suddenly, Jude's body turned entirely gold and glowing brightly.
"Jude! You must've triggered a hidden stage effect!" Akane said. "How many coins did you collect?!" she asked, kicking back Ninjara.
"About a hundred." Jude said.
"Maybe when you collect 100 coins here, you receive a power boost!" DJ guessed.
"Don't waste this, Jude! Take Heihachi down now!" Sebas called out.
Jude was about to respond before Heihachi's fist stopped at Jude's body.
"My turn." Jude said as he took the chance of recoil to deal a flurry of kicks before charging his fist as he charged. "Final Fury!" he said as he dealt a powerful blow at Heihachi.
"Whoa...nice one, Jude." Yang said.
"Guess these coins gave quite a power boost, after all." Jude said as he soon powered down.
"He's weak. Let's get…" Jacky said before being hit by a strike from Zexi and taken out.
"Don't even think about it." Zexi said.
"Too slow!" Ash said, continuing to dodge Iori's flame strikes before countering with Pluviose as he did three Nivoses in quick succession which were flame imbued somersault kicks. "Let's go." he said, dashing across the stage before disappearing and reappearing behind Iori as he left behind a trail of green flames that engulfed the Yagami Heir as he was soon seen unconscious.
"Sorry about that." DJ said, cracking his knuckles over the unconscious Callie. "I like your music."
The former assassin's instinct blared, making him duck under a ball of darkness and three yellow missiles that sailed over him. Turning around, he saw Skull Kid and Ninjara facing him.
"Huh. Talk about an odd pairing." DJ mused as he revved up his discs. "Two on one seems kinda unbalanced, though."
"I have to agree." a voice said as Volt, who had already used Burst, socked the Skull Kid as he started battling him.
"And just like that, all's right with the world." DJ chuckled as he raced towards Ninjara, ducking under a black ring with blue fins as he tried to slash the ninja's center, only for him to jump, vanish in a puff of smoke, and reappear behind DJ, quickly getting a hit in with his Triblast. "Right, ninja. Well, let's try this then."
DJ turned his saws off, simply standing there as Ninjara observed this action with caution. Soon, the ninja took the opportunity, throwing an attack with his Chakram. DJ, however, jumped to the side, avoiding the attack and grabbing the Chakram.
"And now...Spin the Record." DJ said, letting go of the chakram as it began to rotate, the peculiarity spreading to the rest of the arm as Ninjara retracted it, looking shocked. "Oh, that? It's just a little talent." DJ said as he ran up to the ARMS fighter and landed a fist to the distracted ninja's face, laying him out. "And there lies a common ninja weakness: they usually can't take a punch."
"You're good. I'll give you that." Volt said, carrying the beaten down Skull Kid.
"Thanks. And seeing as you're currently carrying a god that brought down a moon, I'd say the same about you." DJ responded.
"Hmm, is there anyone else remaining?" Ash asked.
As soon as Ash asked that, Akira and Ryo went on the offensive against Marshadow and Sebas.
"Well...seems these two don't know their place." Sebas said, casually approaching them.
"Don't even!" Ryo said striking at Sebas only to find his attacks not having effect as the butler raised a leg and dealt a drop kick to him, sending Ryo tumbling to the ground.
Marshadow was somehow impressed before he went and fought with Akira before dealing a powerful blow to the martial artist, taking him down.
"Looks like I was the one...that's 10 years too early." Akira said.
"Oh! Oh! He said it." Akane said.
"And then there were four." Jude said, taking note of Spring Man, Flying Man, Bomberman and Nia.
"No worries." Volt said. "Everyone here has shown off their skills at least once...so I'll handle clean up." he said as rings appeared all above. "Hyperspace...Fury!" he called out as a barrage of fists hammered down on the remaining enemy brawlers, taking them down before they could even have a chance to react.
"...Wow." DJ said before he chuckled. "Maybe next time, you should lead with that one."
"If I did, you all wouldn't have had a chance to display your skills." Volt said.
"How gentlemanly." Ash said.
"Well, that just about wraps it up." Chi Ta said. "The Brawlers' all out battle had ended with the Hero Alliance teams scoring the victory!"
"Looks like we did it. Yes!" Zexi said.
"That was fun!" Akane said.
"Yeah...hope there will be more fun times ahead for this round." Yang said.
"I think there's barely any doubt." Jude said.
