"And now...for match number 8! He's the robot that led a revolution! He's the definition of Isaac Asimov's rules of robotics! He is the Blue Bomber! With buster in hand...here comes...Mega Man!" Chi Ta said as Mega Man beamed down into the arena.
"Ah, there he is!" Miu said. "There's the original Mega Man!"
"A marvel of robotics all right." Aelita said.
"He really looks a lot like X." Axl said.
"No surprise there. This Mega Man is actually the first of his kind." Fulgore said. "X is his successor."
"Wow." Axl said. "Incredible. I can't believe I'll have the chance to see X's originator's strength for myself."
"And...from Mythos Hearts!" Chi Ta said. "Called to the Adventure Universe to be a legendary hero but treated like a villain. But since then he has proven his innocence. He is the Shield Hero! Enter...Naofumi...Iwatani!" she said as the Shield Hero himself entered the arena.
"Alright, Naofumi!" Ajna cheered.
"Gonna look forward to this." Naofumi said.
"And now...the arena! It is...Wily Castle!" Chi Ta said as they appeared outside of an evil castle.
(Cue- Mega Man 2 Medley- Super Smash Bros. for 3DS and Wii U)
"Let the battle...begin!" Chi Ta said.
Mega Man opened with his buster as he fired at Naofumi who just guarded with his shield as he rammed into Mega Man before sending him into the air.
"Chain Shield!" Naofumi said, changing his shield to a chain shield as the chains wrapped up the robot before he went and battered the robot across the stage.
"It's like watching Captain America fight with his shield." Al said.
"Well he is the Shield Hero. He only has his shield to fight with." Theo said.
Mega Man was smoking a bit as something clicked in his robotic brain before materializing a pair of metal blades before tossing them as Naofumi quickly guarded with his shield.
"What was that?" Ginseng asked.
"The Metal Blade...a weapon from a robot called Metal Man." Tails said.
"So he can copy weapon abilities too." Axl said.
Mega Man jumped and sent his fist down on Naofumi.
"The Heavy Knuckle from Hard Man!" Hope said.
Naofumi attempted to strike only for Mega Man to cause an eruption of flames.
"Flame Man's Flame Burst!" Sunset said.
Mega Man then raised a shield of leaves as Naofumi tried to attack again.
"Wood Man's Leaf Shield." Rainbow said.
Mega Man then fired a small beeping device as it latched onto Naofumi's Shield before exploding.
"Crash Man's Crash Bomber!" Dan said.
Mega Man struck at Naofumi with a claw slash before using a sword strike.
"Slash Man's Slash Claw and Sword Man's Flame Sword." Starlight said.
Naofumi once again jumped into action as Mega Man easily picked him up and tossed him into the air before shocking him.
"Guts Man's Super Arm and Spark Man's Spark Shock." Tails said.
Mega Man then charged at Naofumi before spinning like a top, dealing multiple hits.
"And Top Man's Top spin?" Jexi said.
"Now...it's time to finish this." Mega Man said, firing a black hole, sucking Naofumi in. "All Mega Men assemble!" he said.
" !" said the cyber Mega Man.
"Mega Man Volnutt!" said a more humanoid Mega Man.
"Mega Man Starforce!" said a Mega Man with a lion-like cannon.
"Mega Man X!" X said, standing with them.
"Don't count us out." Proto Man said joining in.
"Wouldn't miss this for the world." Bass said also joining in as they all charged their busters.
Naofumi looked shocked as they all fired upon the Shield Hero.
"Whoa...that looked devastating. Could this be it for the Shield Hero or...what?" Chi Ta said as the smoke started to settle as a certain shield was shown.
"No way!" Al said. "That's...that's Cap's Shield!"
"But...how is…" X said.
"Guess you robots didn't know...my shield can scan and copy other shields." Naofumi said. "Sort of like how you guys take the best weapons from the robots you blow up."
"So you scanned that during our adventure." X said.
"Oh it's not the only otherworldly shield in my arsenal." Naofumi said as the shield changed as it bore Zamazenta's face.
"What the? When did he have time to…" Zamazenta started.
"This...is my Hero of Many Battle's Shield!" Naofumi said as the Shield seemed to growl as Naofumi went right at the original Mega Man. "Behemoth...Bash!" he said, sending the robot flying far away from the arena.
"Whoa...he is something else!" Chi Ta said. "Using the shields of his allies to help him in battle! Meaning...our winner is the Shield Hero!" she said as the audience cheered.
"Whoa, he really used that the same way I would." Zamazenta said.
"All the same, it felt good to see him again." Fulgore said.
"Yeah...you did good. But...how did you…" Zamazenta said.
"Oh...I shaved off a chunk of your fur when you weren't looking." Naofumi said.
"Wait, you what?! Urgh… And here I thought I was shedding that time…" Zamazenta said.
"Still, it was pretty cool seeing Volnutt again too." Stahn said.
"And all those other Mega Men too." Miu said.
"Refresh my memory, why did Mega Man leave you guys again?" David asked.
"He wanted to search for the blueprints that Flux appropriated. The ones for the other original robots." Jexi said.
"Oh, right. I think we remember him saying something about that." Miu said.
"Does Mega Man want to bring them back?" Mari asked.
"Yes. To build a better world where humans and robots can live side by side." Tails said.
"Basically our world many centuries later." Leviathan said.
"Hopefully…One can only dream." Tails said.
